1.
Folks, I'm looking for a mod for 1996, just before nWo shows up.

The links in all the threads I found are dead.

Anybody have a live one for me?

 2.

Ok, this is probably a really simple thing to do, but I can't figure it out:

I'm trying to un-retire Mario Heroic in the editor for a game scenario I'm working on, but can't figure out how to do it at all. I can take him off hiatus, but I can't figure out the whole retirement thing.

Somewhere in the editor worker's page, there's a dropdown listbox with his status (RETIRED in your case), just open it and choose the status you wish him to be, save and exit the editor :-)

 3.

Well, I've promoted to national, which is wonderful! I'm the only company in national, no competition, they're all stuck in cult. So I figured I was gonna be raking in cash, swimming in money... alas...

My income has tripled, that's great! My expenditure has also increased greatly, so much so that my profit in my first month as national was barely $200k!!!

I checked my finances:

- My marketing has increased to just under a million (900+k) from 300/400k

- Misc. expenditure... from 165k to 1.2 million!!!!!!

Marketing I can understand, but what is this misc. expenditure consist of that it has increased so much??

How do I get someone I want to not be a Booker of a company? Its killing me that I could sign Dusty Rhodes but hes booking now.

I know that, but since they truly are loyal to ROH, I didn't want to cheat my way into getting them signed like that ;-)

Guess I'll have to run ROH out of business (even though it's an alliance member of mine...)

 5. Thanks a bunch guys! I might set him to "On Hiatus" and then try to entice him back :-) Another question, sort of related. The Briscoes are extremely loyal to ROH and do not want to sign a written deal with because of that. Is there a way to get them to sign with me anyway? Or does ROH have to go out of business before they'll sign with anyone?
 6.

My bad. You guys are right. Only applies to "On Hiatus" people

I was afraid of that...

I really want CM Punk back in the game, but I didn't want to cheat to get him...

I'm gonna think about it, if it's worth doing.

 7.
I've gone national!! As the ony company in the national arena, I take it I won't fall back to cult after the warm up/grace period?

Also, if a worker is 'out of the business', is there a chance they return on their own? Or do I have to cheat by editing the database? (I really want CM Punk back in the race here)

@Adam, isn't it an idea for 2020 to be able to entice workers 'out of the business' back 'into the business'?

 8. Does a 'B'-show help grow wrestler's pop? What's the impact on my company's pop?
 9. Thanks guys! There are no other national companies, so I would have an easy ride when I get there. My main competitor has been losing pop, but is not far off from going national as well. I've got a war chest and have good production values already and my workers are equal to my competitor I'm going for a it!
 10. I've got the grades to keep my timeslot (and then some!). I'm currently on late night with a minimum set by my broadcaster of C- or something, while I'm doing B's and B+'s regularly. I'm the nr 2 promotion in terms of muscle (money), but the nr 3 in terms of prestige and momentum. I'm very close to going national I believe, I've got 6 areas with 65 or more importance and 2 areas with 64 or 63. You need 8 areas with 65+ to go national. Yet my networkpartner will not give me the prime time timeslot or even the late evening timeslot (the one before late night) This brings me to another issue. I'm very close to going national, but should I want to go national in the first place?
 11. Hi folks, I'm currently running a 2-hour A-brand show and a PPV. My roster is a nice size, not too big although a lot of the lower card guys don't get to appear on the tv show. My upercard and main eventers are always on the show. So I'm thinking of starting a 1-hour B-brand show for the lower carders. What's the impact of this on my roster and finances? Are my top guys going to complain that they weren't on the show or will this impact their 'happiness'? Is this going to generate more income for me? Or will the production costs pretty much mean I'll be running the show at a loss every month? (this will obviously not be a prime time show, perhaps a graveyard or late night show) While I'm at it I have another question: My main tv-show is regularly getting B/B+ grades, but my networks just refuse to move it to the prime time timeslot. Any idea why?
 12.

Apparently so, which means gaining popularity, importance, and size can be a tedious and lengthy process.

I love this game!

 13.

Regions have differing importance to the wrestling world. To get a company’s influence level in a region you just take their popularity multiplied by the importance of the region.

Tri State has 100% importance, so any company with popularity there is going to have the same popularity and importance. South East is 90 by default (I think) so company importance there would be (.9*company pop).

Regions also randomly gain/lose importance which can sometimes unknowingly knock down a promotion without them doing anything at all.

Now I get it!

But this means I can only influence by gaining in pop, and even then it is still quite dependant on the level of importance (which can increase and decrease randomly as you stated)

So, I have no influence over my company's importance in a region other than through popularity?

 14.
Can someone explain to me how the "importance"-factor works?

The explanation ingame doesn't make much sense to me. It says something like "importance is a calculation of popularity and importance" or somesuch.

How can something be a calculation in which itself is a variable?

Anyway, how does this grow or decline?

 15.

You can hire or fire with both. A child company will also make their own hirings to fill any gaps. A developmental company will rely on you to make all hirings.

That's what I meant, the independent hiring and firing :-)

Sorry if it wasn't clear.

Thanks for confirming though :-)

 16.

Anyone have suggestions how to booking in Japanese promotions to have the high rating of the show?

Japanese promotions are booked and rated on performance over pop, so it's easy:

Book matches with good/great performers, that will give the higher ratings :-)

I rarely see any angles on those shows, so keep that to a minimum.

 17.

I've had development companies get TV deals in their home region on their own.

Good news!!

Now, is the only difference between developmental territory and child company the ability to hire and fire wrestlers?

(I think, if this is the case, I'll keep a hands on approach with developmental over child)

 18. NxT has tv deals... Then it only makes sense if I have my own tv channel... hmm...
 19. So, that means that they will negotiate their own tv deals? (for tv and events?)
 20.

I think this is something confirmed for 2020.

Another question regarding developmental territory:

Do I have to negotiate a tv deal for them? (if so, how do I do this? Can't assign any announcers, etc. in the child company controls)

How about road agents, referees, etc.? Do I need to hire them and how do I assign them to my dev. territory?

(I tried sending some refs from my main roster as well as a spare announcer, but that didn't work...)

 21. Damn that's fast! Too bad though, maybe something to think about for 2020 Adam...
