It might lack depth but it's exciting to watch your team grow. Maybe one day they can work in a full manager mode, but you might be underestimating how difficult that could be and how little the mainstream interest would be (unless it's as shallow as it is right now).</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Oh I do understand how difficult it would be to get a full manager mode due to Fifa tying up a huge majority of the licences, however I just don't like the mix of real and fake players and teams and can't get myself immersed in the game because of it. Neither Fifa or PES appeal to me this year so it'll be the first year I don't get either. EA have become lazy with Fifa and expect us to buy the same rubbish every year. The new engine is only going to really be obvious when playing "The Journey" (maybe on replays too) which will be played through once. Why would you want to repeat the story again? Pointless waste of disc space that could have been used for the one thing Fifa fans have been crying out for for years, the ability to play a full manager career online with friends. I hate Ultimate team as it is just a con to get idiots to part with hundreds of pounds in real money to eventually get... no one of any significance. Basically (like the pointless womens "mode" last year) The Journey is just a gimmick that fans will become bored with very quickly, before realising they are stuck with Fifa 2016 in a shiny new shell but with all the nonsensical BS from previous games like being hacked down in the box right in front of the referee and not being awarded a penalty before tackling an opposing player and giving away a free kick because your shirt lightly touched his. Until Microsoft give Xbox One owners the same rights Sony do for it's PS4 owners on PES in terms of being able to download the "real" data for the game, I have zero interest in a cluster of real and fictional teams and players. Besides, their game modes are horrendous.

Please note people, I do not have time to add anybody who is not already in the data UNLESS they hold a belt in one of the promotions in game and then I shall push back release by an hour or so (depending how many people I have to add that win titles between now and Saturday) to get them added.</p><p> </p><p> WWE note regarding Raws Cruiserweights - this is going to have to use some creativity and "imagination" because there is no way I can put the cruiserweights in both NXT and WWE without giving them PPA appearances (which I've done). I've also added a loyalty to WWE to see if that stops them going off anywhere else. If any one can figure out a better way then let me know as the only other alternative is I don't put them in NXT and they become exclusive to the main roster.</p>

Once I get September's RWC edition released I'm not going to give a date on releases any more as they'll be released as and when. I have other projects I'm more interested in currently so would really like to get some of those out. I can assure those who like the data it isn't dead as I will still no doubt tweak and update from time to time but its just no longer my priority mod. Especially with 2 or 3 other excellent real world mods out currently.

Just so if I want to do a custom promotion I can give the "gen" workers a background story.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> To be honest, the original premise started back in 2003 when I was originally just going to make a "Fighting" mod for EWR with Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street Fighter, King of Fighters etc...Then, whilst working on it, nostalgia for the cartoons I watched as a kid kicked in and Thundercats, He-Man and TMNT were added. I thought I had posted the story up but upon looking through previous versions, it would appear I have omitted the story part from releases! The case was emblazoned with a wrestling ring and a picture of what looked like palette swaps of Ryu fighting Sub-Zero which, as a wrestling fan, and fan of fighting games intrigued him. He returned home, where he put the CD in a drawer and forgot about it, until a clear out in 2004 led him to re-discovering the disc. He thought, "why not find out what's on it?" and proceeded to load the disc into his PC. After installing the mysterious contents of the disc, Pointdexter was faced with the old "Play Now" radio button, which he ticked. In mere moments, he was met with the following screen...<p> </p><p> "Continue at your own peril. Entering your name and hitting Enter will change the world as you know it."</p><p> </p><p> Pointdexter laughed at the weak attempt to envoke fear. He entered his name as "The Tester" and hit Enter. Nothing. He was met with a blank screen and a flashing text bar. "Just as I thought, broken. When will I learn not to install crap from a second hand store." Pointdexter turned off his computer and went to bed.</p><p> </p><p> He awoke at 6am when his alarm started buzzing and made his way to the bathroom. As he returned, he noticed his PC was switched on, and on the screen was a picture of a sorcerer, a ghoul and a skeleton laughing. He sat down and hit the Enter key and the image disappeared, replaced with the words "Are you Sure". Pointdexter hit "Y" and before he knew it his entire room began flickering before it vanished completely! He was sat in his chair with nothing but darkness and the light from his PC. On the screen were the words "Select Workspace". Pointdexter selected "Office" and suddenly all around him, walls sprung up, filing cabinets, windows. It was as if he was creating his own world around him! He decided to see what else had been created, however when he got to the door he was met with the words "Door Locked".</p><p> </p><p> He went back to his desk, and noticed in the top right corner of the screen was a tiny "?" which he clicked.</p><p> </p><p> "Welcome [The Tester] to the Diabloverse. You are now in charge of creating the most exciting wrestling Universe ever to exist. You can pluck people or creatures from anywhere and program them to fight in your arenas. To select a character, please type in their name under the "Import" feature - be aware that heroes will act like heroes, but villains will be unpredictable with a penchant for evil deeds. They will live and breath in the world you create so be careful! To create a new wrestling promotion, please select "Create Promotion" and you will get to select where it is based. When your world is complete, you may leave the office space and explore your new world."</p><p> </p><p> Upon reading this, the tester decided to use the image from the cover as his basis for the 2 promotions he would see as being dominant... Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. After what seemed like years of building, deleting and editing The Tester had finally created his world, his Diabloverse and this time when he went to his door, he was met with a bustling street with generic people walking up and down, and vehicles that seemed to be on a loop around the block driving about. Across the road from his office was a huge Neon sign that read "Tonight: Kombat Promotions presents..." As he was reading a pedestrian walked into him, knocking him down. The Tester got up and shoved the man in the chest, upon doing this, the man exploded into a million pixels leaving behind a coin! Pointdexter realised he was the God of his own World and could delete and tweak until his heart was content - this was his Universe and no one would disrespect him here... or they'd be pixels.</p></div></blockquote>

<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Diablo X Update:</strong></span></p><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong> </strong></span></p><p> I have just finished Kombat Promotions and Reign of Kombat. This version will have RoK as the Developmental fed for Kombat instead of a splinter group who left the company. They are now based in Japan with Kombat instead of the USA. The roster is made up of the new characters from MK9 and MKX along with some of the older characters to help train them or who just work in development.</p><p> </p><p> I have written a few bios up but found I'm not that great at them so will probably stick to the copy and paste formula, adding in little bits as I go myself.</p><p> </p><p> I am tweaking ages too for some people as a lot will be in their late 30's / early 40's if I keep the ages based from 2013's version.</p><p> </p><p> I have also set active areas for everyone now in an attempt to make it a little more challenging and also because I tried it on the last version and really liked how it played out through a watcher game. I was happy with stats for most promotions and as such I have only tinkered a little so as not to unbalance things. I think I had it at afun balance on the previous game and having done a quick run through, it still plays well.</p><p> </p><p> I am using Mammoths gimmick pack for gimmicks instead of the previous mis-matched one's. I am of course adding a few of my own to it as there are workers with gimmicks that don't really fit any of the one's in the pack.</p><p> </p><p> I am really excited for this and look forward to getting it out to those who enjoy playing it as soon as I can. There is still an absolute mountain of work to get through though - but so far I'm enjoying the work, doing it 1 promotion at a time before I do free agents.</p>
