I'm into year two. Like others have said, Furasawa is awesome, incredible in the ring and a locker room leader. Funakoshi is strong, and Torii has been a rock. Razan was a step behind early, but by 2021, he's neck and neck with Furasawa for the best score of each show. After putting the belt on Furasawa at Lion's Roar Spirit (shaking hands with Maeda and ending any interpromotional tension), I'm pretty stumped where to go next with the title, as there are so many deserving options. I signed Frankie Perez to a written deal after rising to medium, and within 4-5 months, he's been involved in four of the top five match scores and also eager to put over people, etc. The Cobras are also red hot. BHOTWG is signing everything not nailed down but being able to secure written deals has contained the damage.

It's cool. I'm playing as BCG and sent a few rookies to NYCW. When the first new dojo class graduated, I sent a lightweight to ACPW and a brawler to PSW.

So far in 2020, Torii has been better in my save. Good enough to change my plans for him In 2016, he seemed a notch below.

Yeah, I was able to sign SUKI for $800 a show on a written deal. Now I just wish I had done so preemptively with Furasawa because he had been the best guy in the company.

It was going wonderfully until Burning Hammer poached Furasawa and Toshusai during the middle of the Grand Prux, blowing it to bits. Bummer. Now I'm wondering if it makes since to sign some other non-loyal guys to written deals.

Hate the booking screen. Frustrated about products. But I like everything else and am having a lot of fun so far.

Really like the new home page and the rearranged buttons in the office! Still getting some headache vibes around the eyes when using the blue screens, like the office, worker search, etc.

<p>I'm very grateful for this thread and discussion, as this has been weighing heavily on my mind as I dabble with BCG prior to what I hope to be a long-term save. My first take was that the mechanics of the touring schedule, as is, with tons of tour shows that aren't financially viable combined with no extensive breaks in the schedule, seemed like sabotage. That said, I'm reluctant to make choices that feel like "cheat codes," either, making it too easy to make money and grow. I'm still not sure where I stand after reading and considering everyone's points of view, but it certainly won't be leaving the schedule as is. I'm probably going to completely re-do it on my own to resemble the way I played BCG in 2016, with tons of shows per month and the traditional break-period months between tours. I'll run a higher percentage of "normal" shows to counter what feel like unrealistic economic burdens, although I'm not sure if I'll completely abandon "tour" shows, so as not to make it too easy to prosper. For example, the grand prix will probably be all "normal" shows. </p><p> </p><p> I have no qualms with any perspective voiced here. People can and should play to their preferences and priorities. I do think it is possible to bridge the gap with booking choices regardless of which path you take--you can develop talent fine without tour shows; most companies can survive with tons of tour shows, albeit with a stern degree of difficulty, etc.</p>

Maybe! LOL. They do have a lot of guys with orange hair or orange highlights. Once you notice, you won't unsee it.

Funakoshi is my favorite CVerse character and the rock of any save I'm doing. I don't book that heavily around stables, but I do have him head up a gallery of rogues, too. I put Razan at the head of his own stable (generally with the other orange hair guys!), and Torii his own with Blast and Dynamite.

I know this would involve some disruption to the CVerse with him now having a full-time deal elsewhere, but Greg Gauge is a GCG alum and has ownership skills.

What are your plans for the World belt? Last time, it felt like the story was Razan's rise to the title, if you could keep him at the start. This time, he's already had a run. Furasawa has also had it. I love Funakoshi so much, I could easily keep him champ forever, but alas, probably shouldn't. A program with SUKI is probably in store for 2020, but who is next in line for a title run?

I'm a BCG guy, but I'm thinking of trying SAISHO, as I love their roster this time around. I'm interested to hear tips and strategies others employ.

Merle was awesome with CWW settings, as long as you could keep him. I also liked Robinson and Nigel Svennson as solid uppercard guys.</p>

When you say round robin, do you mean a G1 / Champion Carnival style format? I do that for the GP and TagMania (renamed Kazu Yoshizawa Tag League). It's ridiculously hard but so satisfying. I also use the 2 blocks of 8 format, usually spread over 7 tour shows, although I'm thinking of trying 2 months with 7 tour shows for each block. I do a lot of other tourneys, too, to fill up the calendar. Sole Survivor will probably be a single elimination deal like the NJ Cup. Late in my '16 save I had a six-man cup and even a mentor/protege tag tourney for Generations, which I'll probably try again.

This became my favorite promotion in 2016 and I'm thrilled it's retained its talent and is going strong. I haven't started an active save yet, but my first impression is that the roster is a little bloated, and I'll probably dump some of the old-timers and bottom feeders to make way for the surprising youth movement. I'll probably try to nab Miyake and Kitou(sp?), who ended up with SAISHO, as well. The GCG belts/angle is intriguing. That's pretty much how my '16 save went anyway when GCG folded. I could see booking long term for a Funakoshi v. SUKI unification match.

Very excited that BCG is looking healthy and has some promising new talent along with GCG veterans.

I thought I had it going, a save in which I took Black Canvas Grappling to National, #1 in Japan and top 5 globally, but my computer died with zero warning. Heartbreaking. I just started a new one as Japanese Championship Wrestling, trying to see if a start up touring company can survive building around a core of loyal young lions.

When the game first came out, I had fun but lackluster BCG saves, but I started a new one after digesting this thread's advice and it's been the most fun I've had with TEW. I'm in 2018, having just survived the bleeding money in cult phase, now having good shows AND turning profits. The most noteworthy development was Burning Hammer buying and folding GCG, leaving their entire roster for the taking, which has been amazing for BCG. Has GCG gone under in any of you saves?

I'm having a best case scenario BCG save where I retained Razan & Tanyu, got TV, and made it to Cult without much drama. Torii, who I usually find good not great, had a great 2016 title run before dropping to my favorite guy, Funakoshi. Torii has been so good, he and Blast, who has also been better than usual and well behaved, are now long term tag champs. 2017 saw an emerging Yoshinaka Taku win the Grand Prix after killing it in the tag division, but floundering with the big singles push and getting a bad attitude. Back in tags, he's rebounding well, though. The big news in 2017 was BHOTWG, despite dropping to cult, buying GCG and not taking on their talent, meaning BCG added the entire GCG upper card for an invasion angle. Hiroyasu Gakusha is declining before 40, but the other guys rule. This scenario has breathed tons of new life into the company by adding countless fresh main events. Razan is looking to end Funakoshi's two-year reign in late 2018, after really coming into his own with great scores and SQ, but Tanyu is in the picture long term, growing into our top big match point getter.
