He soaks in the crowd reaction while looking longingly at the belt placed on his shoulder. A microphone in hand, he essentially cuts a promo about how his long journey to championship gold has come to an end, but now Reed has bestowed a new quest upon himself. He says its no secret this new championship isn't the most prestigious prize in the business right now, considering it has just been created, but with himself at the helm, that is about to change. "I want this championship to be something that's special, that only independent wrestling can accomplish. While the big 3 have their titles, the real wrestlers, those that work to make a true name for themselves in a sea of others just like them, will strive to hold this title, to challenge for it. People from across the country, across the continent, across the GLOBLE, will come to win this title. Someday someone worthy will take my place as holder of this belt, and when that time comes, that will be the day I finally hang up my boots, and end my career. To all those soon to be challengers, from SWAN or elsewhere, you want this title, you want to retire a legend, come and get some. With those words, the crowd are nearly stunned as Art Reed raises his championship high in the air, seemingly as an invitation for anyone and everyone to come and get some. Providing moral support is Youth Bandit's "Benefactor" Benjamin Baldwin, the self proclaimed "Long Lost Baldwin Brother" who you'd think would put things in favor of the young criminal, but doesn't really have any impact on the match, too busy with holding a framed photo of Alec Baldwin and attempting to convince the members of the audience of the "uncanny resemblance". Its quite a shame too, as not only does he miss a very fun high spot filled match, but also is too late to stop his hired gun from getting hit with TJ Time (Headlock Driver) and the win being handed to Bailey. In his first introduction to SWAN's audience, and any wrestling audience for that fact, Zippy Deverell, the 19 year old Kentucky native makes his way down to the ring, an arrogant swagger radiating off him. Swiping a microphone from a ringside attendant, he begins to speak, and he doesn't stop for nearly 5 minutes. Zippy talks about his time growing up in Corbin, Kentucky, which couldn't be any more different from the Windy City he finds himself at today, and talks about how when he was a child, everyone from teachers to bullies to his own mother wanted him to "Zip The Lip" "Ya see, Zippy always had something to say, something to tell you that most folks just didn't want to hear. At first, those teachers and doctors convinced me I was just talking to much, that it was 'RUDE' to say the things I was saying, but then it hit me. They didn't want me telling them the truth, telling them the things they knew already but keep locked away to make sure they could get thought their awful lives without thinking they got anything wrong with 'em. Now old Zippy is out on his own, and I can say whatever I want, and none of them wannabe wrestlers, the wannabe promoters running this show, and especially all you fat, outta shape, never worked a day in your lives folks here live and online, can stop me!" A couple of hope spots happen in the bullets favor, mostly to give the young man a breather and whatever in the moment pointers Casey sees fit to give him, but the result was always going to be the same, with Zippy's antics (poking the eyes, holding out till the count of 4, your simple, but effective heel work)really getting the crowd on edge. A video plays live for the YouTube audience as well as to be later uploaded to the official SWAN channel, Its another promo for Garry The Entertainer, who is wearing an old 80s style workout garb. He claims that he and Franklin are really working out for their upcoming debut on Pro Wrestling: SWAN, Garry talks about how he and Frankie have been watching the show and are scouting for someone to challenge, and hope to find one soon. Of course Franklin still seems to be portrayed in a creepy light, which actually causes Garry to pull the audience aside and explain. "I Know Frankie can come off as a little strange sometimes, but you have to trust me, as his keeper and translator, Frank makes all the moves, and when you guys get to know him, he's not that bad of a monkey. He can be a little anti-social, but he has a good reason to be, he just wants what's best for me, for all of us." After that, he then seemingly can't remember his motive for attacking Jimmy Jolt Jr at Spreading The Wings. He seems to get that most of the audience is now giggling at him, quickly mocking Jolt for not being here tonight, and making an official challenge for SWAN: Tainted Love, next month's big SWAN event, throwing down the "Challeng-Gauntlet" for Jimmy Jolt Jr to accept. Those matches are always enjoyable to watch, and this one was no exception. The LA Stars are an exciting high flying duo, a good foil to the ground and pound style of Eagle and Longball, the bulk of the match using their speed to keep Longball isolated from his fresh partner. While not official, one would figure a win here could see a future PlusUltra championship shot, and these three certainly wrestled like it was on the line. The opening minutes see a brief alliance between LaRue and Luck, as the two QAW fighters take note of Queen's size and attempt to neutralize the royalty out of the ring. Wants that's done however, an arrogant LaRue eats a kick to the side of the head, as both they and those watching knowing only one person can will in this bout. Despite Felicia Luck being only 20 and having 2 years in the business, she manages to hold her own against LaRue, even going toe to toe with the (slightly) bigger Jaguar. LaRue is a real house of fire, letting her kicks and fists do the talking for her as she really showcases herself as the lead in this match. It all comes down to Jaguar Queen unleashing the beast within, springing to life and dominating the field, dumping LaRue and setting up the boot camp graduate for the Butterfly Powerbomb. She hesitates to the crowd's confusion until they see what she sees, Mark Smart strolling down the aisle, holding a brown envelope with "Case File: Jaguar Queen" written in sharpie for everyone to see. Confusion turns to worry as Queen spots the envelope, Mark Smart teasing the idea of opening its contents, allowing enough time for Foxxy LaRue to hit A Flash Head Kick right on the money, knocking both Luck and Queen down, hooking the queen's leg, and securing the big match win, albeit from a very weird assist. 2. Thanks for all the predictions guys, I'm currently experimenting with the look and writing out the show, Ill be hoping for a friday post so get any predictions in!
  3. I'll be playing with the format as we go along, I'll also be changing the colors to be less cringe and easy to view with the human eye, I might forgo colors all together for a bit, haven't decided, but keep the suggestions coming Before we begin a recap of post show news, just after midnight on our very first show, The SWAN Offices received a mysterious package, containing a VHS tape, and no VHS player, meaning after an Intern was sent out to buy one (Do not fear, it came out of his pocket so the financially stability of SWAN is safe, for now) it was converted to MP4 format and was soon uploaded to the SWAN official YouTube channel, this is the content of that video in question: <div style="background-color:# A2A2A2;border-style:solid;border-width:2px";"> Someone is coming to SWAN... The opening shot of the video begins in a completely dark room, only vague shapes and lines are able to bee seen as the camera zooms in onto one of the shapes in the center of the frame. The camera inches closer and closer as some rather unsettling music begins to fade into the background. A light flickers briefly giving you a small glimpse of the possible horror that awaits you. A jump scare, a ghost, an alien, finally the viewers get their answer as a light is finally turned on and you see what the darkness has hidden. A stuffed Monkey, a small, harmless stuffed monkey is what's just sitting in what appears to be just a small closet in some unoccupied Suburban home. It sits there motionlessly, as you would expect until a figure suddenly juts out from the side of the frame. "HELLO EVERYONE, I'm so excited to meet you all! My name, of course, is GARRY THE ENTERTAINER, and this is my best friend in the entire world FRANKLIN, say hi Franklin! Franklin does not say hi to you... "I bet some of you might have seen us on our YouTube Channel, or maybe seen us live and in person, well you better grab something to hold onto because your not gonna believe what comes next! We're Coming to Pro Wrestling SWAN!!! YEAH, I'M SO EXCITED. I'm not sure when we'll be there, or who we'll be having fun with, but all you boys and girls out there can expect to see a lot more of Frankie and me in the future, I can't wait. In fact, I got to go and get our gear ready, its a long trip, good thing we got each other, I don't know what I'd do without Frankie, I'll see you later, say goodbye Frankie!" The Stuff Animal known as Franklin doesn't say goodbye to you either, but as Garry passes the screen, its easy to not notice Franklin has indeed move slighty closer to the camera as we fade to black.... </div> Normally the SWAN production team would get a few words with certain workers backstage, however in light of our battle royal, most where either too jittery to interview (Mark Smart would not stop talking) or too focus on their new goal to capture Art Reed's Championship Gold, but we do have a nice compilation of great Twitter moments from the past few days, all leading up to our next event; SWAN II: Electric Boogaloo!!! As the official opening of our show, Art Reed makes his way to the ring to a good ovation, he enters with a microphone and begins to talk about his career and his journey, he highlights the contrast between his amazing career and his lack of championship success. ” For eighteen years I’ve never held championship gold, eighteen years I’ve clawed and scratched my way through this industry until I’ve made my way here, Pro Wrestling SWAN. I’ve been in title matches before, I’ve been in battle royals before, but this, this match tonight will be the most important match of my career so far.” Reed says he wishes all the other 15 men and women in our main event luck, because if they think for a second they’ll be able to stop the incredible force that is his will, they’re gonna all the luck they can get. Dasher and Zephyr really take in the crowd’s hot anticipation, especially Dasher, taking in the hometown welcome. Penguin Man and Hallucinogen seem to as well, although it’s hard to read the face of the “relaxed” Hall and Penguin Man is, well a penguin and emoting is not their strong suit. After a rush from Dasher onto the son of the OG Penguin man tho, the action is in full swing. Dasher and Zephyr soon get to work attempting to isolate Penguin from his partner, Dasher using his quickness to stop nearly all hot tag attempts. At around the fifth minute mark, Penguin is placed on the top rope by Dasher, seemingly looking for a possible hurricanrana type maneuver, which Zephyr seems to disagree with but its already too late, as after hitting the opposite corner, he finds out firsthand Penguins CAN FLY, and do a beautiful double axhandle. The sudden crash is all he needs to tag in his partner for the first real time in the match. After a nice comeback, the high spots kick into play, each team opting to outmaneuver the other, one that seems to benefit Spiked Ice as the two seem to gel much more well as a team then their opponents. The crowd is on their feet as The Illinois Dasher signals for a dive to the outside as his opponents take out his partner with a double Irish whip to guardrails. Unfortunately like many times in the young man’s career, he is too late, not only for his partner, but for his own sake as Spiked Ice move at the last second, causing Dasher to crash and burn. It was simply a matter of rolling him back in and hitting a beautiful pair of Moonsaults to pick up the three count! Spiked Ice def. Zephyr & The Illinois Dasher in 11:58 RATING: 36 </div> <div style="background-color:# A2A2A2;border-style:solid;border-width:2px";"> “The Insider” Mark Smart vs. Slugger Longball Mark Smart seems to think he has this one in the bag as he comes down to the ring, 3-D Glasses on and nearly giggling himself to death as he gets into the ring with one half of the All American Americans (Freedom Eagle doesn’t accompany his partner, getting ready for the battle royal, at the behest of Longball himself). The bell rings, and Mark Smart immediately pulls out something he had behind his back, it’s a tennis ball! He plays with it in his hands as if Slugger should be impressed, much to his and the ref’s confusion. Mark’s smile drops as he realizes his mistake all to late as he must have brought the wrong ball and eats a hard knee to the gut from Longball, as the two start to go back and forth. Most of the match seems to be held by the impressive technical ability of the baseball masked Longball and finds himself able to break out of and counter any hold Smart attempts to do. Mark does have some moments, usually using a classic eye rake to try and work on the arm or head (He seems to have forgotten which one his forum friends said to go for) and yells for Slugger to ”GO BACK TO NEW YORK” somehow seeming to expect a cheap pop when our Chicago crowd was well aware of his LA origins. It’s not until we’re firmly past ten minutes in that The Insider gets to have a few minutes in control for once, which seems to make Mark Smart a little cocky and he tries to hit a top rope dropkick onto a rising Slugger, who casually gets out of the way as Mark eats the canvas hard, crawling over to one of the turnbuckles. Longball appears to set up his Homerun finisher (Think No Way Jose’s baseball punch) when the referees distracted by something rolling past him? THE TENNIS BALL! Mark Smart found the ball and rolled it past, creating a moment to nail his opponent with both a low blow and a quick rollup which does the trick, earning him the 1, the 2, and the 3! Mark Smart def. Starts to play over the loudspeakers. The large frame of Jimmy Jolt Jr comes through the curtain, smart phone in hand, hyping up the crowd for his hometown debut. Clad in a t-shirt that says ”@J3”, and his ring gears sports images of all the social media you can follow him on, the front of them have ”Wrestle Together”. Surprisingly, the small crowd is very into it, some hype to see the phone pointed at them as they try to look good for the livestream. J3 hands a phone to a ringside attendant, asking him to record the match for his channel. ANGLE RATING: 33 </div> <div style="background-color:# A2A2A2;border-style:solid;border-width:2px";"> “YouTube’s Favorite Son” Jimmy Jolt Jr vs. “Bullet” Bob Casey As the two wrestlers circle each other, Bob Casey suddenly offers a handshake, which after a few SHAKE HIS HAND chants from the crowd, the young rookie accepts, only to be blindsided with a forearm. A smirking Bob Casey starts to work over the legs of J3, attempting to do as much damage as possible in quick fashion. An attempted ankle lock is meet with a boot to the face, allowing Jolt to return to his feet, only for Casey to, strangely, attempt a suplex, getting his arms around the large man, but the 44-year-old veteran does not have the strength to get him off the crowd, looking up and seeing a bemused J3 before eating a belly-to-belly suplex himself. From here the match is firmly in The Social Media Masters control, using his size and power to neutralize any and all attempts by Casey to get momentum back on his side. The only thing really going in The Bullet’s favor is his ability to escape Jolt’s finisher attempts, always getting off the big man’s shoulders in the nick of time. Eventually he escapes, only this time he lands a kick in the face of Jimmy, staggering back as Bob prepares for a patented roll up attempt. It was all a feign as Jolt hits the ropes and lands a huge pounce that nearly sends Casey out of the ring. After pulling the now nearly knocked out veteran up, YouTube’s Favorite Son finally hits The Alternating Current (T-K-O) right in view of his camera for the win. Jimmy Jolt Jr def. TJ Bailey really stands out, using his technical skills to stop and start the matches pace at his command, taking the pure red headed Cabrera off his guard. He can’t be in the match forever, but Clutch McKane caries his weight good enough. Andre de Los Santos steps up by targeting the arm of McKane, using a forearm to land a DDT that causes The Speed King to favor it. Esteban continues his friends work, often showing fake concern for his opponent, which eventually allows McKane to sneak Bailey back into the match. Los Santos tries to keep TJ grounded but it fails to work, Cabrera having no such luck either as it seems the double missile dropkick is inevitable. Los Santos suddenly slaps his own hands as Esteban rebounds into the corner, running up and absorbing the combination and the pin, or at least he would have he been the legal man. The two highflyers don’t get an explanation as Cabrera hits a double clothesline on them as they argue with the ref, sending Bailey to the outside, and locking in an armbar on the already injured arm, forcing McKane to tap after almost fifteen minutes. There is a bit of hesitation as the bell rings to officially start the match as no one really wants to make the first move, only for Mark Smart to charge in at Jaguar Queen of all people. This action causes a domino effect as nearly ever able body tries to go for another in a mess of punches and kicks. The Elimination start in quick as Tus Amigos manage to eliminate Penguin Man after the bird brain tries to walk the springboard for a move we’ll never get to see. The two’s celebrations are cut off as they take too long to celebrate, getting sent to the outside via Jimmy Jolt Jr. Air Attack Weasel does the traditional heel tactic of waiting to strike, catching Clutch McKane off guard and ending his aspirations for championship gold. Foxxy LaRue and Felicia Luck have a nice back and forth, still heated from their pre-show match it seems, Bob Casey and Slugger Longball manage to eliminate each other after Casey manages to keep ahold of the NYCW vets mask. Jimmy Jolt Jr notches another elimination Dumping Hallucinogen, all the while Jaguar Queen manages to finally pull The Insider off her and power bombs him out of the ring and into the still brawl Casey and Longball. Foxxy LaRue eliminates Felicia Luck before going toe to toe with Jaguar Queen, all the while Art Reed and Jimmy Jolt Jr have a nice back and forth, Reed sensing the big man’s power advantage and trying to bring him down with quick strikes. Air Attack Weasel sees a opening as Jaguar nearly eliminates LaRue, knocking down his sparring partner Freedom Eagle, and coming up behind the large cat and sending her down, to an immense source of boos. AADub soaks in the crowd a little too much as he climbs the turn buckle to flip off the audience but is sent tumbling down as J3 literally calls time out with Reed to walk over and nonchalantly push Weasel out for a nice pop. We have our final four now, Jimmy Jolt Jr, Art Reed, Freedom Eagle, and Foxxy LaRue as each begins to prepare for a focus final minutes, or at least they would have, as suddenly a kendo stick strikes the back of Jolt, stunning him long enough to eat a Flash Head Kick to nearly decapitates the Chicago Native and sends him tumbling to the outside. Air Attack Weasel holds the weapon in question with murder in his eyes as he proceeds to wail and wail on poor Jolt, and an army of backstage officials are needed to make their way out to prevent further damage and escort a now grinning Weasel to the back. Now essentially a triple threat, Reed, LaRue, and Eagle all begin to have a sort of mini match, the focus being Reed and Foxxy having an impactful war until Eagle swoops in to make a move of his own. He swoops low one to many times, as a charging Eagle is sent over the top rope thanks to Art Reed. Its now down to two, Foxxy doesn’t allow the veteran Reed to get any rest, using that youthful momentum to strike hard and fast, slowly building up to a point she can just pick him up and throw him out. The two finally find themselves on the outside apron, Reed attempts to whip Foxxy into the turnbuckle post, only to catch herself, turning around to eat a knee to the face, and an elimination, as Art Reed is declared the winner. 5. OOC; The Journey to the first show is almost here, I've begun writing up the matches (which I'm probably terrible at, but might as well) while we wait for that I thought I'd do the card justice in a preview ala one of my favorite dairies of all time, I'll only really do this type of preview for big shows, as SWAN will have 2-3 shows a months, with only one being a "BIG CARD" type of feel. Sunday 19th, Pro Wrestling SWAN Presents: SWAN Spreading The Wings 2020 Tag Team Match Spiked Ice (Hallucinogen & Penguin Man Jr) vs. Zephyr & The Illinois Dasher The first match of any professional wrestling card is seen as a semi-prestigious position, often held by those just about to break the main event scene, or those that can be trusted to put out a great opening for the fans to get invested into. This Sunday however, this won’t just be the first match on the card, it will be the first match in the entire company. For these four young and hungry rookies, this opportunity is too great to ignore, too important to let slip by. This match won’t have a pre-built story, just two teams set out to prove to the other that they are the future of this company. Singles Match “The Insider” Mark Smart vs Slugger Longball This may not be the most exciting match on our opening card, but it will certainly be the interesting, at least in terms of seeing two distinctly different personalities coming head-to-head. Mark Smart, the internet forum rule bender meets one half of The All-American Americans, Slugger Longball in SWAN’s first singles match. The friend to children and adults alike will have his hands full, as you’ll be certain “The Insider” will push the regulations to their limit to get the win. Good vs evil, a story as old as time, can honestly and the American way prevail, or will the forums be chuckling at the result? Singles Match “YouTube’s Favorite Son” Jimmy Jolt Jr vs “Bullet” Bob Casey Get your phones and press record, it’s Jimmy Jolt Jr! The long time Titan Factory Trainee is coming back home and what an opponent to make it against! Bob Casey might have already been betted against by most of our audience, but looking at the facts, you might want to change your mind. A 24-year experience gap lies in “The Bullets” favor, and despite a history of Ls, you must figure that all that losing can change a man, change that can lead to a vicious attitude, and more importantly, all coveted W. While this will be a fun match regardless, there can only be one winner, will the “The Social Media Master” pick up a first win, or will Casey put a stop to the young man’s journey before it even gets off the ground. Tag Team Match Tus Amigos y Vecinos vs. Bailey & McKane Your Friends from Puerto Rico meet The Speedy Highflyers of 4C fame in a match that will certainly have long term repercussions. While not yet made, the promised arrival of Tag Gold in SWAN will have all teams, especially these two, in a winning mindset as they look to cement themselves as contenders for the future titles. Tus Amigo, despite only have a few years of tagging together, wrestle like they have done it for decades. Bailey and McKane on the other hand, have held onto tag team gold before (TJ holding it 3 times with current TCW “The Jock” Chris Flynn) so they have made it to this spot before. With two distinct styles going to war, this will be a match you’ll want to watch, as Los Santos says “You just might learn something” 15 Man Battle Royal for The SWAN PlusUltra Championship Featuring; Air Attack Weasel, Jimmy Jolt Jr, Mark Smart, Freedom Eagle, Jaguar Queen, Felica Luck, Art Reed, Foxxy LaRue, Slugger Longball, Penguin Man Jr, Hallucinogen, Bob Casey, Clutch McKane, Andre de Los Santos, Esteban Cabrera 15 Men and Women will march out to the ring at once an participate in decide the fate of the SWAN PlusUltra Championship. A Battle Royal is intense, the action flying around a mile a second, every move must be done with the upmost care, and for the many highflyers of the SWAN roster, the top rope has gone from your best friend to your bitter enemy. Not to mention most of the field will be pulling double duty tonight, will previous matches come back to haunt them, or will it fill them with enough energy to become the First Ever, SWAN PlusUltra Champion!
  6. OOC: More Character Building as I write the first show. <div style="background-color:#FF1515;border-style:solid;max-width:1500px;border-width:5px";"> Jimmy Jolt Jr. AGE: 21 (2 Years of Experience) Nicknames: “YouTube’s Favorite Son” “The Second City Slugger” “The Social Media Master” Finishing Moves: Alternating Current (TKO) The young Jimmy Jolt Jr, graduate of the Titan Factory, son of a truck driver and YouTube sensation (he told us to say that last bit, but 1K subs is not so bad we figure) looks to make a huge splash in his upcoming SWAN debut. With two years wrestling in the Titan Factory under his belt, where in his words “Got my &*t kicked in by dudes that look like meat eat other pieces of meat” it wasn’t until his YouTube vlogging and gaming adventures that got him a small cult following his vlogging of a rivalry with one “Killer” Clark Carlson, and while he’d ultimately lose, the personality and charisma radiating off him seems to click with many. Do not be fooled, the big man has a decent number of maneuvers, even some springboard offense in his arsenal, so It would be best if the more lightweight workers of SWAN keep their eye on the big man. In a new vlog titled “Journey to SWAN: Big Boy Begins” he was quoted as saying “Alright boys, Pro Wrestling SWAN made the call, and YouTube’s favorite son is coming home! Except some more vlogs and a few less livestreams while I get back to Chicago, and I’d like to thank you all so far for sticking with me, from the days of Dread kicking my teeth in training to this, I wouldn’t be getting this awesome opportunity, also I get to kick Mark Smart’s @$! So that’s gonna be cool….” We also tried to get a more personal comment, but Mr. Jolt only replied with the following image, so take that what you will. </div> <div style="background-color:#6996FF;max-width:1500px;border-style:solid;border-width:5px";"> André de Los Santos and Esteban Cabrera; Tus Amigos y Vecinos (Your Friends and Neighbors) AGES: Andre 25 (5 Years of Experience) Esteban 24 (4 Years of Experience) Hometown: Old San Juan Nicknames: “The Eses” “The Teachers” “Your New Best Friends” Finishing Moves: Vigilancia de la Vecindad ‘Neighborhood Watch’ (Double Superkick Combination) Bio: Hailing from the U.S Territory of Puerto Rico, Your Friends and Neighbors are making their mainland United States Debut in Pro Wrestling SWAN. Having had multiple mini-stints in FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling, these two young men look to take the Tag Team Division of SWAN by storm, and it seems they have the skills to do so. André de Los Santos, a man that not only claims is better than you, but some who have faced him seem to agree with that. Many a fallen opponent has been placed on record saying who the young twenty-five-year-old seems to know counters and moves they’ve never heard of in their lives, keeping even the most well-traveled veterans on their toes. Esteban “Ese” Cabrera was once completely paralyzed from the waist down, but through hard work, and inspiration from the All-Mighty Puerto Rican Power, he not only is able to walk, but has a good amount of mobility too! Such an inspiring story led to him come to the fabled world of grappling, and he has been said to want to be everyone’s friend, as far as you can trust him however, that’s still in the books. We asked the two as they flew in from the Island’s capital their goals in Pro Wrestling SWAN where, and they had this to say: Santos: “Tag Team Gold is our top priority, but with many tag teams already starting to form, my knowledge of in-ring maneuvers and counters could really help some of the more, ‘Inexperienced’ of the roster, like say, Art Reed, or you Bob Casey’s, people you think would have learned it all by now, but alas....” Cabrera: “Honestly, I can’t wait to just meet all these new faces and show them you can always trust a friend…. right?” We are hopefully for this young duo to really make a mark on SWAN’s tag team division, which you can only see live, or on our various social media pages. </div>
  7. In preparation for our debut event, SWAN Spreading the Wings, The SWAN Wrestling Overlords have seen fit to run a series of exposes on wrestlers that have signed on with SWAN in order to have our new fans better understand the talent. We've compiled a series of infodumps and interviews, and can't wait to see the responses. So sit back, relax, and get ready to MEET THE WRESTLERS: <div style="background-color:#00840F;border-style:solid;max-width:1500px;border-width:5px";"> ART REED AGE: 44 (18 Years of Experience) Hometown: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Nicknames: “The Pure Athlete” “The Wanderer” “The Dread Master” Finishing Moves: The Dread Lock (LeBell Lock) Dark Matter (Rolling Elbow) Bio: In true SWAN fashion, our first wrestler showcased really needs to introduction, Art Reed is an 18-year veteran that has showcased himself across the planet more times that most. A former DAVE and PGHW wrestler, Art Reed has the skills needed to become the face of SWAN, even at this late in his in-ring career. While many in the black and white ring will be flying, diving, and brawling their way to victory, Art Reed will be waiting, waiting to make his move all the while wearing you down, and just when you think you have it all figured out, the Dread Lock hooks around and your hand slaps that mat. Not only does he have the skills to back up his legacy, but so many professional wrestlers have said to have had their best match with Reed. Such names include DAVE & WLW Alumni Acid, CGC Veteran Bobby Thomas, Tag Team Sensations Greg Black and Elmo (Currenlty Benny) Benson, and PGHW Legend Eisaku Kunomasu, just to name a few. When asked why he chose to showcase his talents here at SWAN, The Wanderer did not mince any words, stating: “Eighteen years I’ve been doing this, and in those years, I have wrestled everyone, traveled everywhere, done everything, except for one specific thing; win a championship. It might be too late to win some of the biggest prizes in the game, but I WILL finish out my career living out the last of my childhood dreams, raising championship gold above my head. Holding that PlusUltra championship is one thing, but holding it , AND elevating it to the biggest prize in the business for all to strive for, that will be all the better.” We here at Pro Wrestling SWAN cannot wait to see what the Pure Athlete has to offer, and if you are too, be sure to check out all our social media pages for more information. </div> <div style="background-color:#FCEDCC;max-width:1500px;border-style:solid;border-width:5px";"> Mark Smart AGE: 35 (17 Years of Experience) Hometown: Silicon Valley, California, United States Nicknames: “The Insider” “Mr. Dirtsheet” “TotalExtremeWrestling.com Personified” Finishing Moves: Smart Attack (Heart Punch, usually loaded with a weapon) Bio: Mark Smart knows Pro Wrestling, inside and out. The Son of a “famous” TV actor, Mark Smart was a simple, dime a dozen independent wrestler with sloppy moves and (very) few victories before one late night on his mom's computer changed everything. TotalExtremeWrestling.com, the internets main source for wrestling news, as well as a hive of scum and villainy, changed the game for Mr. Smart. He realized, he could study his opponents, learn their weaknesses, and troll 13-year-olds who like TCW matches on their profile. For the past decade, the internet has changed Mr. Smart, the once happy go lucky wrestler has changed into a rumor spreading, rule breaking, win by any means man, but can you argue with the results? We wanted to ask what brings Mark Smart to Pro Wrestling SWAN, and The Insider had this to say: “Our debut roster has SO many secrets, so many rumors behind them, I’m just the man to expose them, like a cat among mice, watch yourselves my friends, Mr. Dirstheet is on the case.” Ominous words indeed, perhaps you yourselves should watch your backs as we head to our big debut event. </div>
  8. Glad to see you around, reading thru No Ordinary Man really pushed this project to the forefront (if the little joke didn't make it obvious) although I figured some of the names and storylines we'll be having might just make Marv cry, although at least we're not Canadian I've updated the roster page, still working on its format as stated I've VERY new to working with the code but I think I did an alright job so far, but it'll be changed in the future for sure. I have run our first show and will be writing it up soon, I do have to move my PC around, so I have some special "Meet The Wrestler" items written up, so anyone watching can expect at least one today!

  10. "Memes just show that people are engaged about something. A meme is just a little inside joke for a group of people that care about a certain thing." - Anthony Fantano Isn’t Pro Wrestling just awesome! Its probably the greatest thing ever invented, well, maybe not that good but you get the idea. Ironically for the all the ways some people argue, it really offers a lot of variety for what an individual is looking for. Maybe you’re a fan of the old-fashioned sports entertainment of promos and storytelling, maybe you like the good old Lucha Libre, or an epic old southern clash of power and passion, you want it, it’s yours my friend (and you don’t even need any rubies!). Let me ask you, what if, and this is just a thought, you combined all those things together, like some weird science experiment gone right(?), would you like that. Would you watch that, go to a live event with fans just like you, going along for the ride? Mind you, you can skip the whole southern style, I thought saying all of them would be cooler, although maybe you could see shades of that when we run shows but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Come to think of it, I also kind of lied when I asked you, since its not up to you, this train wreck in the making is happening regardless of our puny mortal understandings and opinions. You know what they’re not paying me enough to write all this, and you probably got better things to do so let’s hurry this up shall we? Our story begins in the good old United States, specifically the area known as the Great Lakes, part of the once powerful Steel Belt, in Pro Wrestling circle’s it has a rather lovely nickname as “East-Bumble$*@&” to symbolize how no one has ran this place since, well no one really knows but it’s been quite a few years. Its quite odd when you consider it, as the region has some of America’s most important cities, like Detroit, Minneapolis, Indianapolis (To be fair, rumors in the wrestling community are that people in Indianapolis HATE wrestling, with a passion, and would run it out should it ever come to the circle city), and one city is where we will be visiting today, Chicago, Illinois. The Windy City is a town where the pizza is Deep, the people are okay I guess, and dreams can occasionally come true, perhaps of those fabled achieved dreams, Pro Wrestling SWAN will be one. No one really knows all that much about Pro Wrestling SWAN, who runs it, why it was created, how it was created, no one can answer. Even their name is a mystery, when asked around, responses all hover around the idea that the name SWAN being chosen was because “It’s pretty Funny TBH” whatever that means. How did they get $350,000, actually that’s easy, it’s a fabled Illinois tradition to “Run into some cash”, so you can use your imagination! We do know one thing, the kind of wrestling they promise is a mix of indy dives, powerbombs, and aerial attacks, combined with storytelling and inside jokes that make even old Richie Eisen blush. Did you follow that, no, well I’m sorry I really am, I’m not cut out for this, I lied about the resume I sent them, I took creative writing as a joke I didn’t know I needed it for the major please give this a like or retweet, maybe I could get into Kotaku or something, I have needs and wants just like you. I guess if you had to describe SWAN, you could always use the most basic excuse when you can’t think of something good to say? You know the one, right? No Words Can Describe It... OOC: So I wanted to do a diary, I got that itch you just need to scratch, you know which one I’m talking about brother, around the same time I’ve been watching some PWG and Chikara tapes and something in me just clicked, I’m usually booking a sports entertainment, or TCW type of product, but I wanted to experiment with a more story driven project, as well as using excel sheets and word docs to get into that promoter mindset (or at least how I imagine it lol) SWAN’s product is set to Comic Book Lucha (I’ll put its other settings the following posts) meaning we’ll see some high flying action, as well as some zany/tongue in cheek characters and storylines that I hope you’ll both enjoy and I can do justice to the crazy thoughts in my head. I’ll also soon be adding a list of all the mods I have added to the default C-verse database, as my main one (the one hosting this diary) is filled with them as I like to expand as the game progresses, as well as the cool characters others have made and I can play around with, if you don’t want your mod or character showcased please feel free to DM me and I’ll be sure to correct that ASAP. Also, I love this format, but I hate writing, my bloodline has feuded with the concept for centuries, so please feel free to point out errors and I’ll fix them ASAP as well. I think I covered everything you need to know OOC wise, so without further ado, lets get on with the show.
