1. I had this thought as I was thinking about a test I was doing with my CV2005 mod. 21CW and ROF are 1 and 2 in the world after 4 and a half years or so, which blew my mind. Normally, ROF is out of business by 2008.

What would be really cool is if the state of the wrestling industry and economy for each area was recorded each month so I could take a look and see what's happened. If it could be shown as a line graph that scaled monthly or yearly, that would be a really neat addition.

  2. The UK must have had a really great economy and wrestling industry, but this is great! I can't wait to explore what happened in the morning!

ROF as the #2 in the world?! Without looking, I bet they got on a broadcaster that also shows in Australia or India. DAVE usually survives and thrives, so I'm guessing the US had a bad run with wrestling industry and/or the economy.

  3. So in normal C-Verse canon, it was Nate Johnson that broke up Jack DeColt and Hotstuff Marie. In one of my CV 2005 test watcher saves, it was Steve DeColt that she cheated with, causing disgrace for Steve and a move from CGC to GCG, the only place that wanted him. Hahahahah

That's better than a jump to NOTBPW.

I still can't stop the 100 rating matches in NOTBPW, though, even after nerfing everyone.

  4. I think it might be helpful if the AI would create their events dynamically based on size and owner tendencies.

An insignificant or tiny company may be best off running once a month, but an owner who has flashy finance and low patience, may choose to run twice a month. An owner with prudent or mean finance and high patience may choose to run every two or three months.

As the company grows, they should be able to add more events as the promotion can handle it.

Once a company gets on TV, the AI might be instructed to cut back on extraneous events and just focus on higher importance events (that would be the PPVs or super shows).

I might be reading too far into schedule choices and I may be barking up a tree that doesn't have a squirrel, but this was just a thought I had.

  5.
Version 1.12 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gUmsK4U8cbhUwTXkkpm7eNLz5o7kxfeS/view?usp=sharing

    Completed new injuries fields.

Completed title bios, removed title lineages that don't make sense.

A few alter egos, changes to owner stats, little miscellaneous stuff I should have kept better track of.

    --

    What's next?

The straight port of 2005 is done. Next up is making an offshoot (v2.0) that is hopefully more balanced. It will have my locations and broadcasters modifications. (Including my Injuries modification that already exists.) As well as anything else I see that will add balance to the data.

-I plan to level overness based on where the worker should be at the time.

-I plan to make sure not everyone is god tier in their stats.

-I will alter things like Star Quality, Menace, and Sex Appeal to make better sense based on the worker.

-I will add or alter anything else that makes sense to add or alter.

If people notice errors with the nonbalanced data, I will update it. Otherwise, the balanced data will be what I'm working on.

  6. I just finished up 220 new broadcasters for the C-Verse. I have to test them. They'll be in the revamped more balanced offshoot of this mod.

I need to add in title descriptions and then I'll start my work on that.

I also made a locations file with 1098 locations (not venues) around the world. I am currently adding flavor text, but that's going to take me forever, so I'm going to replace C-Verse locations (and then add in venues) in the offshoot of 2005 data and just work on it when I find the time.

So there will be two versions, the straight conversion from 2005 and then a more balanced version. I figure the more balanced version will take me a couple weeks to get to where I want it. Then I'll move both versions ahead to the WreSpi release.

  7. In my games I see NYCW losing money rapidly. They pay on average $30K each month for workers. It seems some people might be too popular in this mod and inflating their prices. Whistler has average of 50 popularity all over america despite never having worked for a major company, for example.

Also some tweaks i made for my play through that seem to work well if anyone wants to give them a try:

    1) Remove all broadcaster deals. This lets the companies pick new broadcasters that work correctly in the new game without all the issues with the current broadcaster deals. I just sim the first month and start playing on January 2006 and companies that should have TV shows should have them. DAVE doesn't always get a new TV deal though but they reliably always get a PPV deal. SWF and TCW do not air their Tuesday A-shows, only their Saturday night A-shows. (Or set the saturday night shows as dormant if you want the tuesday night head-to-head battle instead.)

    2) Change debut date of RIPW to DEC 2005, create contract for RIPW and Professor Nero, make Professor Nero CEO for random length (or whatever you want), import company relationship for RIPW/SWF from default data. I think this would be nice to have in the regular mod to get around the issue of SWF not owning RIPW when it debuts even if its not canon. The debut is only about 9 months ahead of the canon debut i think so isn't really that much of a big deal.

Worker popularity was super inflated in 2005, you're absolutely right. I'm going to do an offshoot where the data is more balanced as opposed to straight 2005 data.

I'm working on an overhaul of the broadcasters right now, I'm hoping it fixes the issues inherent there.

When I'm done with this, I'm going to forward the data to the WreSpi release, which will have RIPW debuted. I thought about it and came to the conclusion that anything can happen at this point, maybe SWF doesn't make RIPW in this timeline. Alternate C-Verse reality and all. I mean, I can't get INSPIRE to reliably work, so getting the future to do what we want is... difficult.

I'll double check him (and Grandmaster Phunk).

  9. I really appreciate this mod. So I want to give you a bit of help if you don't mind, I've started adding descriptions to championships. Title bios are actually something that I suggested myself so I'd really like for this to have them.

These are largely copy/pastes from the default database but I'm correcting any discrepancies caused by the 15 year timeshift. For example Tadiyuki Kikkawa being the current cornerstone of the Burning Championship rather than a historical one. Many titles also haven't debuted yet so for those I'm writing it in a speculative, "this title is expected to be X" kind of language.

That's a great idea, Zeel. I honestly don't think I noticed that there were Title Bios. Hahaha

  10. I am really interested in playing this mod but the main post says the mod is unbalanced. Is it unbalanced in that it isnt realistic or is game-breaking? Any plans to balance it?

I say it's unbalanced because the stats are as they were in TEW 2005, which was before Adam changed some coding. You will see a large number of 95-100 rated matches. To be fair, all the greatest wrestlers of the C-Verse are in their prime, so it's expected, but it's a warning.

When all is said and done, I MAY make a more balanced version of the mod, but I'm currently working on a more robust locations (not venues) file and then I'm going to expand broadcasters.

When I'm done with ALL of that, I'm going to do my other project of C-Verse 2006 (the WreSpi start).

Then hopefully I can play the game for a bit. Hahahahaha

All that said, give it a spin, let me know any discrepancies you may find. I'm not an expert on every area by any means, so I welcome all the help I get.

  11. Thank you for all of this, MO.

I've got a plan to revamp the entire broadcaster set up. I made some of the same observations as you and I have some ideas kicking around. I just need to put them to paper, which I plan to do next, after I finish my new location file. The research is just about done on that, then I get to enter around 1000 locations. Hahahaha

For 1.11, I changed the broadcasters to the default database, which is more lenient than the port from 2016.

  12. Aw! I started a save with this that I really don't want to abandon. Is it possible for you to give me a quick idea of what I should look at if I want to tweak broadcasters in the in-game editor?

    I know, me too.

The minimum requirements needed to be altered for basically all of them. Coverage for some of the multi game area broadcasters have been retconned. Broadcaster type for internet didn't always port over correctly.

I knew that broadcasters weren't totally right, but I didn't look into it too hard because they "looked alright, I guess". Then actually playing the data further showed me how wrong I was.

I'm not going to lie, I want to do a huge broadcaster overhaul, but that would take a lot of planning. Same thing with the locations file. It's a good start, but I would put a little more variety in it. Will I probably do it? Yes. When will I probably do it? That I don't know.
