I'll admit I've been kinda lagging behind on future work upon the 9000verse, both because of catching up with new games like WWE 2K24 and Tekken 8, and because I've been starting to put together a brand-new mod from scratch, that is also mainly based on franchises in media (though mine will probably be mostly video game franchises)

Think it's a safe bet Vince McMahon's getting removed from the next RWC update after this week. Most likely also a scandal record slapped onto Brock Lesnar too.

ngl I kinda lost track of time as of late because I recently bought a Steam Deck. I'm also pondering making a mod of my own from scratch in a similar vein as the 9000verse but I'll still be working on the 9000verse mod itself here and there with little updates for the time being. And yeah given the abandonware discussion, I kinda had the feeling the 9000verse was going to be mentioned there at some point since it basically was pretty much abandoned.

Most likely mainly the River City Girls characters (if not just the main characters) - honestly some of the additions I've done were mainly just because I felt like it at the time, but most of the worker additions in the next big update will most likely be associated with companies I'll add eventually.

Other than that, yeah, there's not much else I can say. I feel like I could've done a little bit more with this before releasing it, but I'm honestly looking towards the next step with this mod - and that's by completely overhauling it in the next big update. New companies coming in while other companies close down, lots more fun stuff with the 'narratives', and plenty more are to be expected, but it's probably not gonna be for a while (or even longer depending on how much more procrastination occurs between now and then). I can confirm that the SAMPP-style GIF variant will be available for download once the next update comes out sometime before the end of this year (especially since I decided to add in a bit more pictures so you'd likely need to update to the newest version of the Picture Pack anyways) - at what point during this 'end of the year' period, I'm not certain, even as we're a little over a month and a half away from the new year. Yes, it would change based on what companies/stables they're involved with.

A sort of conceptual preview on the GIF pack, now that I've finished converting all the worker images into its proper format and size (through the power of useful GIMP 2 plugins) and am currently doing work on the stable/company logos. I'll admit I'm obviously nowhere near as talented with creating these types of logos as others, but I'm at least putting my mind into making sure each logo has at least some fitting aesthetics to its promotion. Again, with the fact that this is a mod that was been abandoned by its original creator a decade ago, there's some stuff I won't be able to accurately interpret the way Crayon would've wanted it (mainly the stuff not based primarily on a franchise).

UPDATE I was pondering for the longest time on an SAMPP-style GIF variant to the picture pack, and today I may be starting to figure out how to make that a reality using my usual image-editing software GIMP 2. Though the downside is that it's probably gonna take a little while to get everything converted in one batch and then adjusted + I would have the responsibility of making new company/stable logos to go along with that version of the picture pack. It most likely won't be incorporated just yet, but I can assure you it'll eventually be ready, down the line.

If it makes you feel better, I did do a stable BG of my own, of Ali's MMM some time before I pitched over here, I was just kinda shopping around to see if someone would have a better adaptation. Though thanks for the Viking Raiders BGs, the last one with the red text is the one I liked the most.

I've kinda just gotten started with the stable but it's mainly built off the 'positive vibes' gimmick Ali had a little while back with a little bit of the 'guiding light' stuff from even further back (if you're up-to-date with WWE and know what I'm talking about, at least) - though it's probably gonna evolve into something a bit more complex.

Two stable-logo requests for a modern WWE save (RWC starting in June 2023), using the SAMPP GIF-compatible picture pack: * A proper Viking Raiders stable background since SAMPP doesn't seem to have one. * A stable background for a repackaged team where Mustafa Ali leads and is joined by Mansoor and (the man formerly known as Ma.ce) Dio Maddin. I called them "Maximum Mind & Mettle" to retain the MMM acronym. I did make a stable background of my own for this one but it's kinda crap, wanted to see if someone here could do it better.

Now do the reverse and put beards on people who don't normally have them.

If anything I kinda find it odd that that's something worth making a 'scandal record' in the mod yet not the drama Vickie Guerrero wound up in a few months back that had arguably worse stuff going on behind-the-scenes (unless it was in an earlier version of RWC closer to around the time that happened and I passed over it).

I honestly don't really have a version-to-version plan on who goes into the worker list next, I kinda go with the flow. Nothing major yet for the next update, either. I do have plans to make Marvel and DC separate promotions, but that probably won't be for a while, until I finally commit to overhauling some of the universe as a whole. (And when that happens, the Marvel/DC split won't be the only major shift in the 9000verse's line-up of companies)

Little tidbit of an error I found on the June data, but for some reason on the GIF version of the database, UK worker Blake's profile picture is set to that of Westin Blake instead (even though UK Blake has his own profile picture in the pack)
