So after the abrupt end to my BHOTWG diary due to some long winded tech issues I was having the time has come for me to look at Ideas for a new run! Ive played TEW for a few years now but I still find myself not feeling up to scratch with C-verse lore/history (whichever phrase you prefer) when it comes to diary writing I would really like to stick as close to c-verse history as possible so what would you fine folk suggest is the best way to do this? just reading through bios / company histories etc? specifically what I'm interested in this case Is Golden Canvas Grappling - id seen some discourse over the use of the lion vs that of the tiger on some of the graphic mod pages - from what I gather it was originally the tiger? Id spent some time this evening picking out some people who were most closely affiliated to GCG (people NOT employed by another company at the default cverse start date of jan 2020) and im currently trying to create some narratives in my head for which of these people would be behind a potential GCG reboot and why. So in the short (as im worried this has just become a bit of a wall of text) whats the best way to get up to speed with cverse history? specifically Golden Canvas Grappling and the main figures around them.

Thanks both for the input and the nice words! At the moment I’m spending the free time I have for TEW on getting the right add ons and mods back on the game - then I’ll have a think about which way I’m going, SAISHO was the outside bet as I’ve played a save as them before.

Diary Update So some sad news for myself and those who have been following this, after TEW stopped working on my PC part of the steps to recover the game was reinstalling, due to my error I didnt think to move my save games to another folder to re add so the long and short of it is I have now lost this save! Whilst I cant remember the exact results, for those who were following this diary here's what was coming out of Night Of The Burning Hammer - Matthew Keith was winning the title and thus taking control of NEO, the following day at New Years Flame he would be disbanding NEO, all members going their separate ways, my plan was to keep Sakai away for a month or so when he would return with a new stable - Helikaon was to drop the Openweight title to MYSTIC Dragon, in the short term I was turning Helikaon heavyweight, long term the plan was for him to switch to KC Glenn and turn on Deluxe - Toju Munkata was winning the Junior belt and my plan was to keep it on him long term - Serpents Head stable was getting a shake up, wasnt exactly sure how I was gonna do this but Koshiro Ino was 100% being turned on by the others - Takenori Doi, Tomonaga & Yunokawa were all set to return from excursion at New Years Flame, id intended to push them all as much as I could within the restrictions of the games popularity system, Tomonaga and Yunokawa had very sucessful mexican excursion, probably the best excursions ive seen in TEW in terms of being booked, wins and title runs - I was going to continue to focus exclusively on Mexico in terms of foreign expansion, Id just raided OLLIE for 4/5 workers - one of which was North Star Jr, long term there would be regular Mexican events, id hoped to have a Mexican title too Whats Next? I may well look at doing another diary at some point in a similar sort of style to this, most likely in Japan again. In the short term im working on a C-Verse UK indie expansion, im not sure how far down the line with this ill get but I hope to at some point be able to share it with you all! Night Of The Burning Hammer Full Card & Preview Main Event: BHOTWG WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - Heihachiro Sakai (c) vs Matthew Keith If Sakai retains Deluxe lose all titles they hold and cannot challenge for any during 2023. If Keith wins the Championship he also takes control of NEO In the main event the on going Neo x Deluxe war will come to a head in what has now become more than just a championship match. After a brawl broke out post main event of Shimotsuki the two men wanted to add even higher stakes to proceedings, Sakai putting forward that if he wins Deluxe will have to vacate any championships they hold which at the time of writing is both the heavyweight tag and openweight and they cannot challenge during 2023, on the flip side if Keith wins not only will he become World Champion but he will also take control of NEO, what would Keiths intentions be? absorbing them into Deluxe? kicking some members but keeping others? This match will be the fifth between the two men for the World Championship and the shocking statistic that Heihachiro Sakai wont like seeing is that Matthew Keith has won every single one to date. Who will lead the company as champion into the new year? Semi Final: BHOTWG OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - Helikaon (c) vs MYSTIC Dragon NEO vs Deluxe in the Semi Final as well as the Main Event. Helikaon has worked tooth and nail to make the Openweight Championship relevant and worth talking about and he has certainly done that, the Semi Final at the Tokyo Dome will be the ninth defence for the champion and the second against MYSTIC Dragon. One of the interesting point of this match is that Helikaon could win this match but still end up losing the championship if Matthew Keith were to lose in the main event 7th Match: BHOTWG JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - Emerald Angel (c) vs Toju Munkata vs Pretty Okakura vs Tsuneyo Yanagimoto The Junior Heavyweight Championship match on almost every BHOTWG card tends to be the best match so there are high expectations for this. A dangerous environment for the champion defending in a four way, he initially rebuffed Flamboyance's challenge due to not wanting to defend against a tag team, in the following weeks Toju Munkatas name emerged and CEO Tadiyuki Kikkawa signed off on a four way match. Okakura and Yanagimoto looking for their first singles gold in the company meanwhile Munkata hoping to reach former heights once more. Emerald Angel has held the title for a year with nine successful defences to date, the junior heavyweight landscape in BHOTWG is very healthy and for these four man this could pose a last chance to climb to the top of the mountain. 6th Match: ASHES TO GLORY TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FINAL - Elemental III & Kinnojo Horri vs Atsumori Takemura & Chomei Sugiyama VS After the injury of Hiroyasu Gakusha whilst working for Pro Wrestling SAISHO Elemental III was left with having to find a new partner for the final, his choice was one of the most decorated wrestlers on the BHOTWG roster in Kinnojo Horri. In the other corner the NEO pairing of Takemura and Sugiyama who would have an eye on the main event for obvious reasons will believe they have a real chance to capitalise on Horri coming in for the final, their opponents being a totally fresh team, both NEO man have had a few bit part years, particularly Sugiyama and they will really feel like they have something to prove. Will born winners Elemental III and Horri be able to click straight away? or will Takemura and Sugiyama have a break out moment? 5th Match: BHOTWG WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Ring Generals (c) vs INFLUENCE The Ring Generals have had their fingerprints all over the heavyweight tag division for the last two years, at Night Of The Burning Hammer they will be facing fresh challengers and two big names, former World Champion Mabuchi Furusawa and a two time Tag Team Champion in Tatsuya Toshitara. Furusawa bought INFLUENCE together at the start of the year and all four members have found benefit, if results go the right way for them both tag championships will be in INFLUENCE hands. The Ring Generals the same as Helikaon later in the night are in a position where they could potentially win this match but still end up losing the championships later in the night. 4th Match: IWGP 6 MAN TAG - Aaron Andrews (TCW), Mimic (ACPW) & Koshiro Ino vs Aztec Prince (CILL), Suki & Munemitsu Senmatsu VS For the third year in a row there will be an IWGP alliance 6 man tag team match, this will be the first year that there will be All Canada Pro Wrestling representation in Mimic. Aaron Andrews will be heading to Japan again as will Aztec Prince, two figures with growing popularity in Japan. 3rd Match: BHOTWG JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - Holy Ghost (c) vs Rebel Run X vs F.E.A.R High paced, High Octane action is promised in a three way clash for the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. Holy Ghost have proved to be formidable champions, both men have grown with the belts and in both cases they could be working their way into singles contention, maybe holding both singles and tag belts is something that drives the champions on, whatever it is they have seven defences under the belt. Rebel Run X and the F.E.A.R team of Akio and Ko Minamino have both been nearly teams, nearly claiming the belts on a few occasions, in Rebel Run X's case nearly regaining them as they have one reign to their name. As mentioned with the singles landscape for the juniors its highly competitive, the tag scene has the potential for the same and all three teams here will want to be top of that scene heading into the new year. 2nd Match: Sepents Head (Kobayashi, Gensai & Watoga) vs Senmatsu-Gun (Kamioka, Shimakage & Magnum Kobe VS Six men whom all probably feel they should have higher status on this card will clash in a stable v stable match early in the night, could a victory in this 6 man tag match propel the winners into a great 2023? In a match this loaded with talent you would be completely within your rights to feel like the answer to that question is yes Opening Match: Razan Okamoto vs The Architect VS In the shows opener The Architect will have what arguably could be described as the biggest match of his career, the two time Sam Keith Classic winner and one time COTT Heavyweight Champion has been wrestling in Japan for two years and will see this as a potential chance to propel himself, having recently signed a new deal with BHOTWG (deal allows him to still work for MAW) he will be feeling good heading into this. In the opposite corner BCG star Razan Okamoto will face stern competition, Okamoto has been appearing on BHOTWG through the year as a part of a working relationship with BCG, he has impressed when featuring with other Nextream members Pretty Okakura and Tsuneyo Yanagimoto but this will be his first singles match at a big event. On a night where the landscape for Deluxe could change drastically can The Architect use this as a platform to soar high? or will Okamoto keep him grounded?

The match of the night, as it so frequently is, was the Junior Heavyweight Championship match as Emerald Angel defended his title and in the process secured a year as champion, Flamboyance both came out to challenge to challenge after the match but the champion refused to be drawn into agreeing to a three way match against a tag team. The Ring Generals were attacked after their victory by the INFLUENCE pairing of Mabuchi Furusawa and Tatsuya Toshitara, the two having won earlier in the night made a challenge for the following month after laying out the champions. BHOTWG November Preview Hiroaki Nakasawa says goodbye to BHOTWG in November as his contract runs up and it was announced he would be leaving the company, the four time World Champion has only featured sporadically of late and may look to make an impact elsewhere. Shimotsukis main event will be NEO vs Deluxe in a 6 man tag, with Ernest Youngman heading back over to Japan at Heihachiro Sakais request to join up with his NEO mates, the stable war that has been bubbling up for weeks now continues, Matthew Keith also has announced that Helikaon will be putting his Openweight open challenge on pause to feature on team Deluxe. The Junior Heavyweight Championship is set to be defended in a moutwatering encounter between the champion Emerald Angel and Elemental III, this will be the champions ninth defence as he creeps slowly towards a year atop the mountain. After nearly capturing the Openweight Championship the month before Ieyoshi Shimakage has turned his attention to other Deluxe members and challenged The Ring Generals for their World Tag Team Championships, Shimakage will be teaming with his regular partner Gonkuro Kamioka. Stable vs stable in the main event and also earlier in the card as INFLUENCE will face F.E.A.R, Flamboyance (Okakura and Yanagimoto) will be teaming up once again to face Rebel Run X and finally Kenta Watoga vs Magnum Kobe will open the show, a fued that had been sparked during the tour shows and online with insults thrown back and forth.

Munemitsu Senmatsu got a win to further Koshiro Ino's poor year in singles action, Senmatsu was fancied to challenge the World Champion but with the after match events in the main event we didn't get to see if that would come to fruition. Holy Ghosts formidable run with the Junior Tag Championships showed no sign of slowing down as they made relatively light work of the F.E.A.R pairing of Ko Minamino and Akio. The final of the Ashes To Glory Tournament was set, in two months time at Night Of The Burning Hammer the teams of Hiroyasu Gakusha & Elemental III and Chomei Sugiyama & Atsumori Takemura will face off for the trophies. The opener was a fantastic six man between Deluxe and Flamboyance that many considered to be the match of the night, after the match the winners were attacked by members of NEO thus making both ends of the show about Deluxe v NEO, many questions were left as to where this situation would end up for all involved. BHOTWG OCTOBER PREVIEW The road to Night Of The Burning Hammer will begin to wind its way to December with Burning Harvest at the end of October. The IWGP alliance will once more step into the limelight as BHOTWG World Champion Heihachiro Sakai will face a formidable opponent in Wolf Hawkins, the champions third defence will be the main event. Sakai would be forgiven for being preoccupied as Deluxe have been doing all they can to hound NEO of late, the fires of a stable war being stoked. Koshiro Ino and Munemitsu Senmatsu will be facing off in a special singles match, a match up that could head up any event in which both men will be looking to create a launch pad to the end of the year. Senmatsu has a record of 5-2 in singles matches in 2022, most of those wins coming in his run to the Fire Dream Cup Final, Ino on the other hand is 3-7, 5 of those losses coming in TCW. Looking at the singles records for the year you would be forgiven for making Senmatsu the favourite, though over the years Ino has made many people look foolish when underestimating him. Akio & Ko Minamino of F.E.A.R have a golden opportunity as they find themselves in a title match for the BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, the champions Holy Ghost (White Angel & Crimson Ghost) have made formidable figures since picking up the belts, this is going to be their 7th title defence. In further tag action we will also have Ashes To Glory Tournament Semi Finals when T-Bone Bright and Emerald Angel will face off against NEO's Atsumori Takemura and Chomei Sugiyama and in the second Semi Final Hiroyasu Gakusha & Elemental III come up against Senmatsu-gun pairing Gonkuro Kamioka and Magnum Kobe. September A signing to start off the month, with the input of Emerald Angel BHOTWG signed Mercury, the 30 year old had left EXODUS a few years previous and he had his mentor to thank for picking up this job. Quest of Heart at the end of the month would see Mainstream Hernandez's last match for BHOTWG in a F.E.A.R v NEO multi man match. Pretty Okakura would be challenging Emerald Angel hoping to do what his stablemate Yanagimoto could not and dethrone the champion. HINOTE DOJO UPDATE Current Young Lions Park Myung-Seop Signed to a deal as recently as this week retired kickboxer Park Myung-Seop becomes the newest face to appear at the dojo. Whilst it has been acknowledged by most at the dojo that Myung-Seop will not be a "regular" young lion the 29 year old South Korean will still appear in the traditional all black attire and performing the usual young lion duties backstage. Still yet to make his in ring debut there is little conclusion that can be drawn as to his in ring skills by the public, however behind the scenes the Hinote Dojo trainers will tell you that his clear upside is his impressive stamina and toughness. Katsumoto Yokokawa Making his debut at Night Of The Burning Hammer in 2021 Yokokawa has gone on to have 40 matches to date, many people still mark him as a dark horse for future success though there is a feeling that he is failing to show even the first shoots of that potential. Yokokawa certainly has a good look and possesses natural star quality and his in ring psychology has started to come along a little, on the flip side stamina is clearly an issue for the junior heavyweight whom often shows clear signs of tiring if his matches make it much past the 6 minute mark. Excursion is still a long way into the 23 year olds future. August CEO Tadiyuki Kikkawa continued his advances into the Mexican market by launching a sensational attempt to sign Gino Montero as his EILL contract was coming up, whilst BHOTWG finances at the time were well enough ultimately they couldnt keep up with EILL whom eventually sexcured Montero at a hefty $308,100 per month (¥44,652,933) at the time the highest paid earner (per month) at BHOTWG was Kinnojo Horri ($94,600/¥13,710,378). Aside from the failed attempt at bringing Montero in news also broke of Mainstream Hernandez having agreed a deal to return to SWF roughly a year after leaving them, Hernandez had enjoyed his spell in BHOTWG slotting nicely into NEO he also made some sporadic appearences with TCW during this time proving hugely popular on their shows. Such was the good feeling in Japan towards Hernandez that he was granted a Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match before he left the following month, this would take place at Summit Challenge. The first defence of Heihachiro Sakai's reign as World Champion would come up against Koshiro Ino, with past NEO ties between the two the match was highly anticipated. Tsuneyo Yanagimoto with all the momentum in the world behind him as BOSJ winner would be challenging Emerald Angel for the Junior Heavyweight Championship, though this match was billed as the semi final for many it was the main event, BHOTWG junior division seemigly much stronger in depth than the heavyweight one. Helikaon would continue his open challenge, his current number of defences standing at five. The card would also feature an Ashes To Glory Tournament Quater Final. July A unique feature of this years Best Of The Super Juniors was that two of the nights came from Mexico, Kikkawa continuing his focus on pushing into the Mexican market, two good shows one in Monterey and one in Mexico City.
