  3. May The Fire Dream Cup tour covered the length of Japan throwing up some great matches, the highlight of which was in the Semi-Finals when Heihachiro Sakai defeated SUKI in a great match, Sakai would go onto the final where he would be facing Munemitsu Senmatsu in a keenly anticipated match up. Matthew Keith continued to struggle after losing the World Championship and he was knocked out in the first round by Tatsuya Toshitara. Major news came out of BHOTWG during the month of May where it was shockingly announced that Sensational Dragon would be leaving the company with immediate effect, the news sent shockwaves around the wrestling world in Japan. Sensational Dragon at the time of leaving was a four time BOSJ winner, a six time Junior Heavyweight Champion and a one time Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. In the following days details came to light that Sensational Dragon has asked Kikkawa for his release and there was no particularly ill feeling, Dragons decision allegedly came after some grievances over booking directions involving him. Saitama Super Arena - 36,500 SELL OUT / 476,957 PPV buys via HYBOSO & 22,650 via Seleccion Mexico Hiroyasu Gakusha & Eagle Kawasawa vs Matthew Keith & The Architect Ko Minamino vs Magnum Kobe NEO (HDR, Sugiyama & Miyamoto) vs Emerald Angel, Panda Mask II & Ninja Shunji El Serpiente & Holy Ghost vs Flamboyance & Elemental III NEO (Hernanez, Takemura, MYSTIC Dragon) vs F.E.A.R (Munkata, Akio & SUKI) BHOTWG Openweight Championship 11th Champion Helikaon vs Tatsuya Toshitara Fire Dream Cup Final Heihachiro Sakai vs Munemitsu Senmatsu BHOTWG’s hot start to the year in terms of main event quality continued here infront of a big crowd at Saitama Super Arena as Heihachiro Sakai became the second winner of The Fire Dream Cup, in the process punching his ticket to a World Championship match. Outside of the cup final the rebirth of the Openweight Championship continued to be a success and Helikaon carrying it was seeing his stock rise and rise, another defence in another great match, this time it was Tatsuya Toshitara that answered the open challenge. The rest of the card was mainly filler, all of the focus going on the semi and the main. El Serpiente had appeared across the tour, making some appearances as part of the IWGP alliance coming in from CILL. May Game World Round Up - Fusion Pro Wrestling (FPW) Opens in Queensland, Australia - Acid II signs for TCW
  4. April Mabuchi Furusawa would be making the first defence of his title at Test Of Prophecies against SUKI, a man whom he had much history with, the match was also a chance for SUKI to really make a mark in BHOTWG. Helikaons open challenge would also continue as he and the company both hoped to really push the Openweight Championship as a big deal and something to look forward to. Flamboyance sought out a rematch for the Junior Heavyweight Championships, the two had hinted at possibly shelving their team if they failed to regain the gold. To mark the new PPV deal in Mexico The Ring Generals would be defending their titles against CILL Tag Team Champions The Wildfires in what promised to add something different to the card. Test Of Prophecies would also mark Shiki Saitos last match as a young lion as he faced the unenviable task of facing Munemitsu Senmatsu before heading off on excursion Kobe Football Stadium - 29,826 / 498,232 PPV buys via HYBOSO & 31,022 via Seleccion Mexico Hiroyasu Gakusha vs Mainstream Hernandez Deluxe (Keith & The Architecht) vs NEO (Sakai & MYSTIC Dragon) Shiki Saito Last Young Lion Match Munemitsu Senmatsu vs Shiki Saito BHOTWG World Tag Team Championships 31st Champions The Ring Generals vs The Wildfires BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships 33rd Champions Holy Ghost vs Flamboyance BHOTWG Openweight Championship 11th Champion Helikaon vs Elemental III BHOTWG World Championship 38th Champion Mabuchi Furusawa vs SUKI Furusawa had an excellent match against SUKI and more importantly for him it was a successful defence, before that was what came very close to being match of the night, answering Helikaons open challenge was Elemental III, the two men went to battle for just shy of twenty minutes when eventually Helikaon was victorious, the open challenges already proving to be a highlight of the match cards. The night had four title defences in total and they all turned out to be successful defences by the champions, Holy Ghost remaining top of the junior tag food chain and The Ring Generals saw of CILL’s The Wildfires. Munemitsu Senmatsu defeated Shiki Saito in Saito’s last young lions match, it was announced two days after the event that Saito would be heading to Mid Atlantic Wrestling as part of a new excursion agreement set up, loosely part of the IWGP Alliance (Via MAW’s relationship with TCW). Earlier in the night Matthew Keith started his life without the World Championship on the losing side of a tag team match. The Fire Dream Cup was up the following month back for the second time, the cup had proved popular the year before and this years line up with a stellar one. April Game World Round Up - Logan Wolfsbaine signs with TCW - DIW rise to small
  5. Ashes To Glory Tag Tournament Team Announcement The Ashes To Glory Tournament will run from May through until the end of the year where the final will take place at Night Of The Burning Hammer. The first tournament match will take place on the night of the Fire Dream Cup final, the tournament will consist of eight teams and we are pleased to bring you the bracket, which is as follows VS T-Bone Bright (TCW) & Emerald Angel Eagle Kawasawa & Panda Mask II VS Matthew Keith & The Architect Atsumori Takemura & Chomei Sugiyama VS Hiroyasu Gakusha & Elemental III SUKI & Ko Minamino VS Tatsuya Toshitara & Crimson Ghost Gonkuro Kamioka & Magnum Kobe
  6. March The reintroduction of the Openweight Championship was followed by Kikkawa announcing a new tournament named the Ashes to Glory Tag Team Tournament, it was outlined that this tournament would be made up of openweight teams where one member would be a heavyweight and one a junior heavyweight, there was no date or further details to this tournament given at the time. Speaking of the Openweight Championship, the new champion Helikaon announced he would be holding an open challenge at every monthly event, inviting anyone to step up to him, the first of the open challenges would take place at Syndicate of Fire. Emerald Angel vs Sensational Dragon was to headline the show with the semi final being Influence facing off against Flaboyance and their partner – the three men would be going under the name of Nextream, BHOTWG’s newest stable. After the events following the main event of Warrior Globe Haranobu Kobayashi would be facing Tatsuya Toshitara. Higashiosaka Stadium - 23,324 / 558,339 PPV buys via HYBOSO & 23,864 PPV buys via Seleccion Mexico (Pre Show) Kinnojo Horri, Hiroaki Nakasawa & Katsumoto Yokokawa vs Panda Mask II, Angel Flyer (CILL) & Shiki Saito Hiroyasu Gakusha, Eagle Kawasawa & Elemental III vs Deluxe (Keith, Waldorf & Statler) Special Openweight 3 Way Tag Match F.E.A.R (Munkata & Suki) vs NEO (Sakai & Hernandez) vs Senmatsu-gun (Kobe & Senmatsu) Haranopby Kobayashi vs Tatsuya Toshitara BHOTWG Openweight Championship 11th Champion Helikaon vs The Architect Nextream (Okakura, Yanagimoto & Razan Okamoto) vs INFLUENCE (Ghost, Angel & Furusawa) BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Championship 53rd Champion Emerald Angel vs Sensational Dragon A very strong event and the first live on PPV in Mexico and Japan with HYBOSO. Emerald Angel sucessfully defended his title in the main event in a great contest, the former tag team partners providing the sort of match everyone expected though it would only become apparent how significant this match really was two months down the line in May. In the Semi Final Mabuchi Furusawa lead Influence into the Challenge of newly formed Nextream, the massive surprise being that their third man was non other than Black Canvas Grapplings Razan Okamoto, after the event details of Okamotos deal were revealed, he was joining on a written deal that would mostly see him appear at events only (as opposed to tour shows) Kikkawa had been working to build a good relationship with BCG and this seemed to have played a big part in this deal – BHOTWG getting a big star for their events and BCG still retaining the core of his services. Helikaon was shocked when the first person to respond to his open challenge was none other than his stablemate The Architecht, Helikaon making a sucessful defence in just under 20 minutes in a good match. Elsewhere Toshitara settled a score with Kobayashi and we also had an openweight tag team showcase in the run up to the Ashes to Glory Tournament. March Game World Round Up - Valiant leaves SWF and joins USPW - Greg Gauge leaves TCW and joins USPW, ending his appearances in BHOTWG
  7. February Warrior Globe returned to Japan this year after having being an overseas event in 2021. Matthew Keith was one defence away from 10 defences, as BHOTWG got back onto Japanese shores it was announced that Mabuchi Furusawa would be the next challenger, after a singles win in the UK against Senmatsu and a win at Night Of The Burning Hammer over former stable mate Gakusha he had momentum behind him that the company clearly recognised. Sensational Dragon would face off against Toju Munkata in a number one contenders match for the Junior Heavyweight Championship in a match that promised to be exceptional. Rounding off the singles matches on the card would be Helikaon vs Koshiro Ino, Helikaon made an open challenge on social media to a heavyweight wrestler for a match at Warrior Globe, Helikaon keen to show him being a junior would make no difference and his class would shine through. Midnight Tiger debuted on the tour, coming in on a one year deal, Tiger was previously unemployed and working the independent circuit. Kobe Football Stadium - 29,734 / 193,342 PPV buys via Emperors Choice Hiroyasu Gakusha vs Haranobu Kobayashi Elemental III & Midnight Tiger vs Emerald Angel & Venom NEO (Sakai, MYSTIC Dragon, HDR & Hernandez) vs Senmatsu-gun (Senmatsu, Kobe, Shimakage & Yamura) #1 Contenders Match For The BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Championship Sensational Dragon vs Toju Munkata ***Surprise Title Match - See Event Review**** Helikaon vs Koshiro Ino BHOTWG World Championship 37th Champion Matthew Keith vs Mabuchi Furusawa Matthew Keith failed to reach ten defences in what was, in some peoples eyes, the best BHOTWG match in the last few years as Mabuchi Furusawa became a two time champion, a great match that went just a little shy of half an hour. After the match Haranobu Kobayashi whom had a victory earlier in the night began making his way down the ramp, Furusawa who was already on the mic scoffed as he saw Kobayashi appeared and remarked that he didn’t even know who Kobayashi was, Furusawa had Toshitara intercept Kobayashi and the two brawled to the back, Kobayashi never getting the chance to make a challenge. Furusawas post match address was interrupted a second time by Flamboyance who already had a beef with Holy Ghost (who were in the ring with Furusawa) Pretty Okakura would go onto explain that Flamboyance had been approached by many of the stables in BHOTWG about joining them but they had their own plans, he would further explain that at next months event (Syndicate Of Fire) Flamboyance and their new partner who would as a trio be operating under the name of Nextream would like to challenge any three members of Influence, Furusawa accepted not mentioning which members of Influence would be involved. The match between Helikaon and Koshiro Ino which was thought to just be a special inter weightclass match turned out to be something much more significant, just as the bell was about to ring BHOTWG CEO Tadiyuki Kikkawa appeared much to the excitement of the crowd, he would go onto announce that the following match would be a title match for the BHOTWG Openweight Championship making its return for the first time since 2008 – Helikaon won making him the 11th champion. Sensational Dragon got the better of Toju Munkata setting up the always highly anticipated match up of Sensational Dragon vs Emerald Angel for the championship the following month. Elsewhere on the card Midnight Tiger made his debut teaming with Elemental III in a winning effort. February Game World Round Up - TCW rise to big - TCW and MAW re enter developmental agreement that had previously been cancelled

  11. January 2022 2022 started off with two excursion announcements, Aio Bandai was headed to Canada and All Canada Pro Wrestling meanwhile Teruki Nakayama would be working for New York City Wrestling and would debut with NYCW that same month in a losing effort to Logan Wolfsbaine. With Bandai and Nakayama heading overseas the line up of young lions as of January 2022 was 22 year old Katsumoto Yokokawa and 20 year old Shiki Saito, Saito the more experienced of the two was headed into his second year as a young lion. January was loaded with events both in Japan and overseas and there was much excitement from the office who imagined this years shows abroad would fair much better. The month started off with New Years Flame at the Edion Arena in Osaka, the show was sold out (5,570) and the main event saw the in ring debut of Mainstream Hernandez as NEO defeated Deluxe in the main event. In the Semi Final Mabuchi Furusawa after a very topsy turvy 2021 debuted his own stable “Influence” which featured along side Furusawa the junior heavyweight tag team Holy Ghost (Crimson Ghost & White Angel) & Tatsuya Toshitara. The first of the Fighting Start shows (Fighting Start USA) took place in New York at the venue Sanctuary to 294 people, still an uninspiring figure but much more than last years visit. The Semi and the Main Event were as follows BHOTWG World Tag Team Championships 30th Champions Senmatsu –gun vs The Ring Generals vs NEO (Youngman & Takemura) Matthew Keith & Greg Gague vs Munemitsu Senmatsu & Kazunori Yamura The Ring Generals became two time tag champions winning a threeway which saw Ernest Youngman return to NEO once more and in the Main Event World Champion Matthew Keith teamed with his twin brother to defeat Senmatsu-gun. This card also featured El Jaguar from CILL and Harvey Robbinfield whom in the pre show defeated Shiki Saito. Following that was Fighting Start Canada, BHOTWGs first ever appearance in Canada, the show was held Lee’s Palace in Toronto to 259 people, the show saw a shock title change as Flamboyance lost the junior tag belts to Holy Ghost whom had hit the ground running after the formation of Influence. The Semi and the Main Event were as follows Munemitsu Senmatsu & Wolf Haskins vs Deluxe (Keith & Helikaon) NEO (Hernandez, Sakai & MYSTIC Dragon) vs Serpents Head (Ino, Kobayashi & Gensai) Wolf Haskins teaming with Munemitsu Senmatsu got a win over Deluxe, Haskins a hugely popular figure in North America that BHOTWG were happy to have on board for the night. Mainstream Hernandez had also proved popular across the two nights and he got the win for NEO over Serpents Head in the Main Event. Fighting Start UK rounded off the overseas events, held in London to the smallest attendance (153) of the three. Helikaon beat Magnum Kobe in a fantastic singles match in the final match of the card before the Semi and the Main Event which where as follows Mabuchi Furusawa vs Munemitsu Senmatsu BHOTWG World Championship 37th Champion Matthew Keith vs Heihachiro Sakai Matthew Keith made his ninth defence of the World Championship in a good match to close the show, Keiths run with the belt showing no sign of ending. And to finish off what was a gruelling January for the talent was Fighting Start Tokyo, which saw Holy Ghost successfully defend their tag titles and in the Main Event Emerald Angel retained against Elemental III
  12. I flip flapped a bit on where best to post this but as it probably comes under "creative advice" I went with here. Ive had an idea mulling around my head for a while of starting a C-Verse save with a fictional company in Japan (that I may or may not do a dynasty for) I am yet to locate the main figure behind this new company (im currently searching for potential people) but the idea behind the project is that it would be a mixed roster of both men and women, something that doesn't feature in any of the Japanese companies in the default starting c-verse database, based in a region that has no company as per the start of the default database (probably either Chubu or Chugoku) and ideally running a product not seen elsewhere in Japan, whilst still retaining an overall "eastern" feel (this may be a little trickier to pin down as classic mainstream puro, royal puro, lucharesu, wrestling as a sport, fast & furious and guerrilla warfare are all taken) With the above in mind I have had a few different name ideas and I just wondered which people liked the most MISSION: Pro Wrestling (may or may not include the colon I sort of like it better with) Nagoya City Wrestling / Hiroshima City Wrestling (depending on the region id set up in, I sort of always feel like having a location in the company name limits how big the company can grow but at the same time I think both of these have a good ring to them) Unity Wrestling Group / Pro Wrestling Unity Fusion Japan Pro Wrestling (______ Japan Pro Wrestling is a nod towards real life with New, All, Big etc) Ronin Revolution Wrestling Happy to hear suggestions, tweaks etc... I just wanted to steer away from what was already present in the c-verse, as im hoping to do with the location etc, so no coloured canvases or things relating to fire 😅

  16. December The year drew to its climax with the historic event Night Of The Burning Hammer which would this year take place at Tokyo Dome, a stacked card from top to bottom promised to deliver some excellent matches. To start the month the second graduate emerged from the Hinote Dojo during the Kikkawa era, Katsumoto Yokokawa, a 22 year old lightweight debuted during the tour shows and would take part in the Tokyo Dome pre show in a young lion scramble match. Tokyo Dome - 39,520 (Pre Show) "Young Lion Scramble" Katsumoto Yokokawa vs Shiki Saito vs Teruki Nakayama vs Aio Bandai (Pre Show) Burning Battle Royal - Winner Magnum Kobe Hiroyasu Gakusha vs Mabuchi Furusawa Serpents Head (Ino, Watoga & Gensai) vs Haranobu Kobayashi, Kinnojo Horri & Hiroaki Nakasawa Special IWGP Alliance 6 Man Roderick Remus, El Hijo Del Aguila & Sensational Dragon vs Aztec Prince, Mighty Mo & Elemental III BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships 32nd Champions Flamboyance vs Rebel Run X vs Holy Ghost vs Toju Munkata & Akio Deluxe (Waldorf, Statler, Helikaon & The Architect) vs NEO (Hernandez, Sakai, Takemura & Sugiyama) BHOTWG World Tag Team Championships 30th Champions Senmatsu-gun vs Triple T BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Championship 53rd Champion Emerald Angel vs MYSTIC Dragon BHOTWG World Championship 37th Champion Matthew Keith vs Munemitsu Senmatsu There was a lot to unpack by the time the 39 thousand plus had began filing out of the Tokyo Dome, first off the biggest attendance in Kikkawas reign as CEO and the first show ran in the dome. Matthew Keith edged closer to a year with the belt after a win in the main event, a fantastic match with Munemitsu Senmatsu that went a little shy of 26 minutes. MYSTIC Dragon was unable to turn his BOSJ victory into a victory here in the championship match, Emerald Angel making his first successful defence. Toshitara’s run of momentum that managed to get him and Takayuki 2000 a tag team title match fell just a little short on the night as Senmatsu-gun retained. NEO got the win in a stables war match after Mainstream Hernandez’s shocking debut the month previous, Flamboyance despite their understandable frustration at having to defend in a four way match managed to come out of the otherside and walk back up the ramp as champions. The IWGP 6 man showcased mexican talents for the first time aswell as impressive competitors from TCW, the alliance still thriving. Serpents Head after a so so year ended with a victory against a pair of legends and Kobayashi still looking to make his mark. And in the final golden battle Mabuchi Furusawa got the win in what was an excellent technical match. In the Days after the event there was expectation that atleast one of the current young lions would be heading out on excursion soon, attention turned to a new look January with the Fighting Start tour going global – a return to USA and Canada aswell as a first visit to the UK. Before that would be New Years Flame where you could always expect something special. Just before Christmas The Architect became the COTT World Heavyweight Champion at MAW’s The Night Of The Champions December Game World Round Up - Steven Parker leaves SWF joins USPW

  19. November Tadiyuki Kikkawa granted Kinnoji Horri a title shot at Shimotsuki and Horri spent much of the tour shows trying to get the upper hand over Keith and his Deluxe mates. After F.E.A.R got a pinfall victory over the junior tag champs in a multi man Munkata and Akio would be facing Flamboyance for the belts in what would surely be a great tag match. It transpired that Mabuchi Furusawa had assured Munemitsu Senmatsu that he had been guarenteed a world title shot and he promised Senmatsu a shot at it, obviously once Senmatsu found out this wasn’t true at all he wasn’t best pleased, Kikkawa seeing a good match making oppourtunity set up Furusawa v Senmatsu as a number one contenders match and with that, by the end of Shimotsuki the main event for Night Of The Burning Hammer would be set. Magnum Kobe had his second consecutive huge defence of his title as Emerald Angel was waiting in the wings, the other half of Junior Ace Team hoping to do what his partner could not News broke through November that Kikkawa had been looking at making some changes to Januarys schedule and an announcement was expected soon. The tour was littered with unexpected bits of video popping up during matches the images differed from back streets of Tokyo, Osaka castle, rural Japanese fields, as the tour went on all of these images had a figure in the foreground with their back to the camera, just as the camera was about to move around to show the individuals face the videos blacked out. Sapporo Stadium - 15,000 SELL OUT Tatsuya Toshitara vs Hiroyasu Gakusha Serpents Head (Ino, Gensai & Watoga) vs Senmatsu-gun (Shimakage, Kamioka & Yamura) Deluxe (Helikaon, Waldorf, Statler) vs NEO (Sakai, Takemura & Sugiyama) Mabuchi Furusawa vs Munemitsu Senmatsu BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships 32nd Champions Flamboyance vs Senmatsu-gun (Akio & Munkata) BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Championship 52nd Champion Magnum Kobe vs Emerald Angel BHOTWG World Championship 37th Champion Matthew Keith vs Kinnojo Horri Matthew Keith made a seventh successful defence of the world title and with Munemitsu Senmatsu winning his number one contenders match earlier in the night the main event for Night Of The Burning Hammer was set. It was the semi final however that stole the show and may have been the match of the year so far for BHOTWG when Emerald Angel beat Magnum Kobe in 21:56 to begin his first reign, after the match he was confronted by BOSJ winner MYSTIC Dragon and the two exchanged words and stared each other down. Flamboyance saw off their challengers though wouldn’t have been to impressed a few nights later when they found out their title match at the end of the year spectacle would be in a four way match. The on and off tease videos during the tour came to a head after Deluxe got the win over NEO, with all men still in the ring the familiar scenes played on the tron of a figure with his back to the camera in various locations around Japan, the screen then cut to outside Sapporo Stadium and a man all in black was seen entering the crowd area, the stadium was suddenly a buzz trying to spot the mystery man, the lights dropped and when they came back up the man all in black was stood in the middle of the ring between the two factions, he was hooded but his hood was branded ….. with the NEO logo, the NEO members proceeded to jump Deluxe and the mystery man lowered his hood.... to reveal himself as …... MAINSTREAM HERNANDEZ. It later transpired that as soon as BHOTWG got news that SWF would not be renewing his contract Kikkawa contacted Hernandez immediately, he was signed to a fairly modest deal, for one year, Hernandez popularity in North America was said to be of great importance. Nothing of note happened throughout the game world this month
