  1. Is it just me or are the newly introduced workers far worse in potential in the Primary Skills category than the current workers (Cornell Verse). For example: There are a plethora of highly rated veterans when you start (Tommy Cornell, Rocky Golden, Rich Money, Nicky Champion, etc. etc. etc. etc.) and some already existing "younger" guys with great potential (Ernest Youngman for example). But the "rookie class" doesn't have the potential to develop as much as I feel that they should. Examples of this are the likes of James Diaz, son of a HOF, very big and muscular, but seems capped at 72 in Brawling (when he starts at 68! So very little progress possible for the 18 year old) and none of his other Primary stats ever seem to get out of the 60s. Many fall into similar definitions. Heck, just the legacy of HOF workers that are ALL seemingly far inferior than their fathers includes Dan Stone, Chip Martin, Dreadnought, Original Sinner, Robin DeLay, Son of Vengeance, Masked Mauler VII, even Matty Faith. If you add all of the "regular" rookies into the mix the situation becomes a little pathetic. My point is this: As the old guard retires, the new guard has less and less potential to create workers with similar skills to replace them. This becomes very obvious over long term simulations where I can graduate up to 14 workers per year from but the vast majority of them and other rookies cannot reach the levels of their predecessors even if they have a mentor and are in Performance Centre primary skills training for years. Thus in 25 years, when the old guard is essentially retired and replaced you are left with only a percentage of highly rated workers to replace them. Plus even Now the latest update (1.16) has removed the chance to create any highly rated rookies (which were already quite rare) as per request. These were basically the only guys that even stood a chance of matching the performances of the old guard. So basically we are left with one potential future superstar that will ever reach the heights of previous generations in Tommy Cornell Jr. Does the youth potential improvement system need to be updated so stats are boosted somewhat at the start (so many rookie workers never develop much at all and are still in their 30s and lower across all Primary Stats for the entirety of their careers in long term sims), and/or their upper potential caps raised somewhat? At least bring back the possibility of the highly rated rookies being created so there are at least a few workers who can match the potential of the past workers. This isn't unrealistic. Ok. Enough of my rant. Any thoughts on this? Am I wrong here? What am I missing?
  2. Too late now but it would have been funny to give her a May Young/Fabulous Moolah push in an orange jumpsuit.
  3. Neither did I. It was a huge hit to the Women's division to lose a HOF player in that manner. My only complaint is that I would have liked some sorid details on the case!
  4. So of all of the games I have ran so far the "weirdest" random event was running USPW in the Cornell Universe and almost immediately their biggest female star, Alicia Strong, was found guilty of 2nd degree murder, and sentenced to 17 years in prison! ……..I didn't hold her roster spot for her.
  5. A few of the best available workers for a new company (IMO) Ernest Youngman Aldous Blackfrier Cali Slick Davis Wayne Newton Fro Sure Hugh de Aske Logan Wolfsbane Nelson Callum Tennessee William Samael the Accuser
  6. Cool! So the User Attributes might be another factor. All of mine were set to 5 out of 10, I'll have to test it with higher ratings on Silver Tongue and see what happens.
  7. Hmmm....I've generally ran smaller companies so maybe that factors in (in accordance to the "<Worker Name> is not active in America. The only way for a company below Large size to hire him is via Talent Trade or Alliance Loans"), but my experience has been more along the lines 0f 30-40% will agree while 60-70% will not. I just tried the question "I'd like you to consider being open to work in America" on 20 under 23 male Wrestlers and 7 agreed, while 13 said "I'm not really interested in doing this."

All very young (Lucy hasn't debuted yet) and talented with the capability to work in QAW/USPW/5SSW/CWA/EWA when the old guard inevitably retires. Lauren Easter is also one to watch since she could turn up as an owner and/or booker with her business and booking skills.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Note that Spider Isako (and a general possibility for all foreign workers) you have to contact her by "View Profile" --> "Talk to Worker" --> "I'd like you to consider being open work in the USA" (or whatever country you are using), or she isn't hirable. Many foreign workers will not but some will.</p><p> </p><p> Also Juliet Balconi, Sabrina Wells, Sky Hermosa, Joanna Silver, Amy St. James, Izzy Quick, and Ruby Reece are all youths with good potential.</p><p> </p><p> Some slightly older but still with plenty of prime left</p><p> Fuyuko Higa is a spectacular female worker at 29. She quite often goes Hall of Fame or sometimes even Hall of Immortals(!) in long term simulations. </p><p> Some other really good "older" is 31 year old Etsuko Arihyoshi, and 28 year old Electric Dreamer. 30 year old Alina Americana is loaded with Star Power and Sex Appeal but isn't as good in the ring as some of the others listed.</p>
  9. Ok. Do you know anything about the mod site (tewdb.com)? Are they reputable? You can't even see what is there without signing up so I can't really tell much.
  10. After playing the game for the last month or so I think I am ready to try some mods out. Where is the best place to find good mods? I know there is a site dedicated to this but I don't know much about it, what their reputation is as far as quality, or if there are other options.
  11. Mods Also, I am ready to try some mods. Are there any good 2020 mods out yet, and where is the best place to get them?
  12. General Thoughts So I've been able to play TEW 2020 a bit now and I have a couple observations/questions. *Really fun game! I am enjoying playing in as many different variations as possible to really try to figure out how to be successful. I want to note that I am overall very positive, so my bitchin below is meant with the best of intentions. 1. AI Autobooking for Events/TV Shows seems to be very poor. -It can't correctly fill out an event time wise. For example, if I have a 3 hour event and use the Book Whole Show it almost never fills out the event even if I have plenty of unused talent that isn't fatigued that isn't doing anything. -It seems to me using the auto book gives Event ratings that can be much lower than the automated competition events even if the workers are properly suited for the company product and are similarly rated. Am I missing something here? It seems to me that you should be able to have the autobooker fill out the card correctly and in a generally good manner. 2. Types of gameplay. I know that this series has been out for many years now but I can't understand some of the limitations placed on the gameplay. It is great fun to run a company and book shows but why not be able to use it as a Worker? I understand that it would take some additional coding but the Workers, data, and so many aspects of the necessary programing are already going through the gameplay so I don't know why making it so you can play as only a worker instead of having to be required to run and book. Just have you choose at the start, then negotiate and make decisions as the arise from the Worker side of things. It would really open up the different ways you could play the game and also theoretically open up whole new potential buyers. It would literally double the gameplay possibilities.
  13. Click on the very top of the worker page where it says in yellow "Wrestler name" is an XX year old <White American male wrestler (for example)>. This will pull up the character edit screen that has several different options on it, including manager assignment.
  14. If you can afford it then creating a Performance Center and assigning young workers there increases their stats. Maxed out facility allows for 14 workers to be assigned there. Plus the can still work on regular roster or developmental at the same time. It is expensive to create the facility though.
  15. Anyone know at what point bigger companies will start to try to steal your workers? I assume it is based on popularity.
  16. <p>So when I started the full game yesterday I had a problem retaining my personal. (Keep in mind that I am still a newbie).</p><p> </p><p> Background: Several of my workers multi-work, including wrestler and manager, and/or color commentator, personality, ringside worker. They quickly gained popularity due to lots of exposure. So when my Women's Champion/Manager announced that she was leaving to film a television role soon, I "panicked" a bit and offered Written/Iron Clad contracts to my workers with the highest popularity ratings (they were just moving into their 40s in popularity). Unfortunately what this did is triggered the "big dogs" (USPW, SFW, TCW) to all start bidding on the Workers that I tried to lock up! I found this curious because some Workers also in that popularity range are not being offered these large organization contracts, only the Workers that I tried to lock up.</p><p> </p><p> So, does anyone know what the criteria is for large organizations to start trying to steal your talent? …...and why does a Worker with a similar popularity that I haven't tried to extend not get these same offers? Are there some general guidelines on this?</p>
  17. Thanks again. So the House Shows do help to progress the Workers. I was thinking about cutting them and running a heavier paid TV/Event schedule but maybe I need to rethink the ratios and keep some House Shows running instead. It also might explain why some of my non-Wrestler staff is starting to fatigue a little.
  18. Thanks for the info. I don't get why the surgery options are so cut and dry simple. Expanded options on this would add realism. But it is what it is. Another newbie question: House shows- Do they help in worker development? Does it add to Regional popularity ratings? Changes to Company Prestige and/or Momentum? …..or is it solely an additional source of income that I can ditch without negative reprecussions if I don't need them financially?
  19. Had a worker get a Semi-severed spinal column and is out for 13 months. Is it worth it to try a high risk surgery in such an instance?
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Zeel1" data-cite="Zeel1" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47568" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>You might want to tick on the stricter rules and see what it does. It might lower the rating a little more but at this rate that's not hurting much and it should hopefully put a stop to the incidents, atleast until you can get rid of the problem dudes. These would be the dress code, not leaving until the show is over, no outsiders... I think the three-hour pre-show arrival is the thing that people get most upset over which might also mean it's the biggest behavior stopper. <p> </p><p> I haven't admittedly tested it too much but this is the idea anyway.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> LOL! Judging their reactions to Fines and such I doubt they will listen to reason at this point but it might be worth a shot. I will try it out...…….unless I can them first (several are on last chance at this point).</p><p> </p><p> Again, I haven't played much but it has been generally good Backstage relations with the occasional issue but these guys...…</p><p> </p><p> Hey, at least it is good for a laugh!</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Matt_Black" data-cite="Matt_Black" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47568" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Also, what's the morale for some of the workers? Some personality types don't start causing a ruckus unless they're unhappy.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Morale is generally good. Most everyone is Happy and a few Very Happy. Only one Neutral, and 2 Annoyed (Shady K and Knuckles who are Prickly and Unpredictable). The other main culprits are Lead Belly who is Grifter, and Air Attack Weasel who is Gloomy. Others problem makers are Insecure, Mercenary, and Party Animal.</p><p> </p><p> Yeah, they aren't the most stable group. Looks like I need to promote some youth earlier than I had planned.</p>
  22. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Zeel1" data-cite="Zeel1" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47568" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>What are your backstage rules looking like?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No smoking or drugs, transport and hotel organized, transport paid.</p><p> </p><p> I actually gave them a masseuse, chiropractor, and paid for hotel and catering for one show but it made no difference to these guys!</p><p> </p><p> The next show I got the tag team belt off of Death Row. Need to get the secondary US Belt off of Quinten Queen. 4 more instances of crap before the show including Death Row again, and now a Manager, and even a Road Agent have Locker Room heat. Backstage rating down to 33%. Spiraling downwards out of control.</p><p> </p><p> It looks like I will have to fire a bunch of guys. Like 20% of my roster could go at this point and it is all vets! Pretty funny. A first in my very limited experience playing this.</p>
  23. <p>So I started a Cornellverse new company and loaded it up on youth and the best available cheap vets with some popularity in my area. Everything was going ok for about 7 shows in the first 3-4 weeks (due to a "Constant" schedule), then some of the vets started showing why they are not in bigger organizations.</p><p> </p><p> Knuckles and Shady K (Death Row), Lead Belly, Air Attack Weasel, and Quintin Queen have ALL become major pains in the last couple of weeks. Shady K got busted for harassing, and then the next show locker room fighting with 19 year old Dustin Deuce. Knuckles joined in at some point. Air Attack Weasel is pissing off the entire locker room, and Quinten Queen is behaving about the same. Lead Belly is bullying a couple people, and has gotten into a fight. Now at the last show Knuckles and Shady K fought with another 19 year old (Jack Avatar) in the locker room. The last few shows have had like 4 to 6 negative instances. I started with Stern Warning, the Fines but it just seems to piss them off but only makes their behavior worse. My Backroom score has plummeted from 80 to 43 in just a few weeks!</p><p> </p><p> Ugh. I guess Suspensions are next. I need to move belts off of any of these clowns ASAP so I can be prepared to fire them. It is crazy how quickly things just went to crap like that!</p>
  24. Performance Center/Dojo vs Developmental Newbie here playing the 2 month beta game with a couple of questions: *With bigger companies you can have both a developmental territory and performance center/dojo but I am not clear what is better for developing young workers. Also, if I do send a rookie to a dojo/performance center I am assuming that you lose a slot for a random graduate later? (I assume that is how it rolls). Since I can't yet play a full year to find out I thought I would ask for some input here. *Also, in regards to stats: I assume that the color indication goes from bottom up: red, yellow, white, green, light blue. My confusion comes from the fact that a light blue can sometimes have a very large range which can actually encompass a lower range (a green stat of 63-75, a light blue with 45-100 for example). Are the color codes only indicative of the top number? Do the colors mean anything else (like possible performance advancement on that specific stat)? I am guessing not, but just curious for some feedback.
