  1. I have multiple workers stuck at 55 in my Small fed. Is there any info on what exactly influences the cap?
  2. I've been playing a game with UEW and I've just reached Small size in August 2020. Here are some things I've found: - There are plenty of good options to sign. Have a look at unemployed workers at the start of the game because there are some people with potential there (I won't name any specific workers who have worked for me so as not to 'spoil' it). Keep an eye on the news feed to see when workers are expected to not renew their contract with other companies - add them to your shortlist when you see the news and then you'll get a notification once they're free. My 'Silver Tongue' skill is set to 7 and 9 times out of 10 if I ask a worker to make themselves available in Europe while they're unemployed then they agree and you would be surprised at who's willing to come and work for a crummy fed like UEW. Usually when looking for workers I look for good stats in Basics, Psychology, Stamina, and Technical (because you need at least one Technical Mastercall on each show) but of course the more good stats the better. - They have some good workers who start with good momentum and so can grow in popularity quite quickly if you put them in good main event matches. Konrad Makinen, my current UEW World champion, has grown from 28 popularity in January to 54 in September. Marcello Ricci - 27 to 55. Menace - 30 to 52. Kalu Owusu - 30 to 52. There's plenty of potential in the workers that are already in the company so use them well! - The Respectful Wrestling product of the company demands long matches but not everybody on the roster has the stamina to handle it, especially since you need at least one Steal the Show match every show as well. Along with multi-man matches, you can also make good use of the 'Slow Build' instruction to help manage this as many of the stars in the company have decent to good psychology. - It's fairly easy to make money. From the very start of the game I was making more than $2k profit per show and that's now risen to about $5k as we've gotten more popular. Set ticket prices to 'cheap' - I've been making more money with these prices as the attendance increases a lot and this also helps to increase your popularity more. You could go for 'very cheap' also if you really want to grow quickly, but I've found that the attendance increase for this doesn't offset the reduced prices and you end up not making as much (but still turning a profit). - Once you reach Small size, it's difficult/very expensive to maintain the right production values. I've upgraded Production Values, Live Event Experience and Broadcast Quality to the right levels but now I think I'll barely make any profit/take a small loss with each show. This is ok for me for now as I have a good stockpile of cash and can afford to not make much money while I continue to grow but it feels a bit risky. Music I have no hope of upgrading yet because the $10k a month fee will kill me. Will post more if I discover more as the company continues to grow!
  3. I didn't say I am a long term player, I said I was a long term player. I bought and played these games pretty consistently from around 2004 to 2011 and now I'm looking to get back into the series. I'm not on a crusade and I'm not making a big deal of it. I've decided I'm not going to buy the game and that's it - I'll move on with my life pretty quickly. This is just to provide feedback to the publishers and start a discussion about it. If nobody bothered providing feedback about something they don't like then businesses might assume that everybody is happy with their product and this could be bad for them. They're welcome to do what they like with this feedback including ignoring it.
  4. Nope, I'm trying to install 2010 to test how bad this DRM is before buying 2020 which uses the same DRM. It turns out the DRM is pretty bad, so I'm glad I did the test first.
  5. Yes, it's true, they've chosen a distribution method that they think is best for their business. I am letting them know that they have lost my business because of it. If they've lost my business because of it then it's probably a reasonable bet that they've lost other people's business because of it, too. They can choose whether this bothers them or not. I can't fault the level of support provided. I've received good support when I've had issues in the past and I can see other people receiving good support on the forums now. The fact is it that it shouldn't be needed because it shouldn't be necessary to contact the publisher every time you want to install your game that you bought on a new machine. I don't know any other publisher operating like this with digital purchases in 2020.
  6. I'm returning to TEW after not playing since TEW 2010 - in the past I was a long-time player having played EWR, TEW 2004, 2005 and 2010 (as well as the first two Wrestling Spirit games). I've been playing the demo over the last few days and enjoyed it a lot and I was ready to purchase at release. Then when it came to purchase I saw that the series was still, in 2020, using that crummy eLicense DRM service. I remember having trouble with eLicense with the games I bought in the past and right away I was turned off seeing it here. Thinking that maybe I was overblowing it in my memory or that maybe the service has improved in the nine years since I last used it, I decided to run a simple test: If I can download and install the copy of TEW 2010 that I bought in 2011 with no issue then I'm satisfied with the service and I'll buy TEW 2020. Downloading the installer is simple and I was able to find the order id for the purchase in my old emails no problem so I was hopeful, but then I entered the order id into the installer aaaaaand: Yuck. From memory I don't think I ever installed this more than once when I bought it, but even if I had it's not relevant. The fact is I'm being denied access to install a game that I purchased, pretty much for having committed the cardinal sin of having changed my laptop in the last nine years. I'm sure that if I contacted GDS support then I could get this sorted out, but I shouldn't have to go through the trouble of contacting the publisher every time I want to reinstall a game I purchased. The suggestion from the software that I repurchase the game when it already acknowledges that I've bought it before is particularly laughable. So I won't be buying TEW 2020 for as long as it has eLicense in place, which is a shame because I really did enjoy the demo and a game like this fits my current gaming habits/available time perfectly. There are much more modern and user friendly methods of DRM available (or distribution services that don't use DRM at all: gog.com) and so I have no idea why GDS persist with this service that I can remember people having problems with going back for more than 15 years now - in fact I remember Adam very kindly helping me out personally over email to resolve an issue with eLicense that I had going all the way back to TEW 2004. I know some people will read this and think "so you're not going to buy the game, who cares?" but I believe it's important that publishers receive feedback on issues such as this and understand that using bad DRM services like this does turn people away from their games and give people problems retrieving games that they've purchased in the past. If there is a more appropriate channel through which to give this feedback then I'd be happy to hear it.
