  5. This one isn't that dark but it does have some implications depending on how you look at it. I had a 2010 save back in TEW 2016 and I hired a young Jon Moxley to a PPA contract. He got injured very early on and was out for a few months. He returned with a pain killer addiction and started turning up to shows too high to work. I didn't want to fire him so I kept fining him, hoping he'd get the message, but eventually I signed him to an exclusive written deal purely so I could send him to rehab. When I did I got the message that he was happy with my decision and that he was now loyal to my user character. I guess he was grateful I didn't turn my back on him and throw him out of the company. Hits a bit harder now that I know he's had some substance and family issues IRL. Also a side note, not dark side of the ring worthy but funny to me, in the same save I had Davey Richards repeatedly pick fights with Eddie Edwards, as well as Chris Hero and Cesaro scrapping backstage. In-fighting between my two top tag team, what an absolute shambles of a division Edit: Turns out I took a screenshot from the save
  6. I've really enjoyed this project so thanks for a fun read. I'm looking forward to any new project you have with the next game. After you post the last show, could you post a summary of any plans you had for the save beyond what you've written? I think it'd be cool to know what future some of the 21CW guys had in store. 7. You can already do this can't you? Both in the main editor and during a save.
  8. 1997 Real World with WWF - My favourite save ever, built around a nearly 2 year long storyline Steve Austin feuds with The Hart Foundation. Bret wins the World Title and Austin has to work his way through the HF members to get to Bret. Austin win the Royal Rumble, beats Bret at WM14 for the World Title (in a rematch from their famous WM13 submission match). The feud humbles Bret, who, wanting to focus on the purity of the sport of pro wrestling, shows respect to Austin by shaking his hand and turns face. Brian Pillman returns after a 9 month stint in rehab. He doesn't like seeing Bret showing respect to Austin, still remembering Austin 'Pillmanize" him back in late 1996. Pillman corrupts Hart Foundation prodigy Chris Jericho, they attack and 'Pillmanize" Austin. The (kayfabe) injury is so bad Austin has to vacate the belt. A furious Bret officially kicks Pillman & Jericho out of the Hart Foundation. Pillman vs. Hart at Summerslam for the vacant belt. Edge & Christian debut by helping Pillman win the match and the World title. There's way more to the story after this but basically it culminates in Austin vs. Pillman at WrestleMania 15. Of course, Austin wins and gets his belt back. This save also had one of my most fun midcard feuds. Goldust wins Kurt Angle's Olympic medal. Goldust then mocks Angle with a serious of raunchy photoshoots where he sports the medal, and he starts wearing a sparkling gold wrestling singlet in matches and tapping people out with the ankle lock. A few others: Real World 1987 with Gold Standard Wrestling (custom company): Gold Standard Wrestling was built off the on again off again feud between Curt Hennig and Terry Gordy. Eventually I get enough money to hire some more big talent. Ted DiBiase wins the belt off Gordy, and creates his Million Dollar Corporation stable with Vader and Shane Douglas. Ricky Steamboat eventually wins a big end of year tournament a takes the belt from DiBiase. Sting also had a year+ long run with the TV Title and lead my favourite babyface stable ever with The Ultimate Warrior and The Road Warriors (was as unhinged as it sounds) Real World 1991 with WCW: Only booked a year. Had the 4 Horsemen turn face, Rick Rude wins the World Title, had a near 40 minute 100 rated title defense against Ric Flair, then dropped the belt to Sting at Starrcade. Also poached Shawn Michaels from WWF and had him feud over the TV Title with The Great Muta. Cornellverse 2020 with Canadian Conquest Wrestling (custom company) Alex DeColt uses his life savings to open a new promotion. Sayeed Ali and The Northern Lights run rampant over the company. Homecoming hero Edd Stone overthrows Ali to win the World Title. Shane Nelson finally gets serious about his career and makes one last effort to make something of himself in the business. He gets a run with the TV Title and reaches main event status for a while, until his skills begin to decline too much. I poached David Stone from CWA. I imagine that Alex was a devil on David's shoulder, telling him not to make the same mistakes Alex did by relying on family legacy, to leave home and find himself, knowing full well I was going to job him and the rest of the roster to my custom DeColt regen once they were called up from developmental. Also hired Robin DaLay and convinced him to get on roids. I'll definitely convert this one to TEW IX and continue it at some point.
  9. I have this exact feeling about those two, and that's why when I play TCW I always change Greg Gauge's gimmick so that it has nothing to do with his legacy (currently have it set to a "Best in the World" swagger gimmick) and why I refuse to hire Matthew Keith if Gauge is on the roster. I figure Gauge didn't take the Keith name so he's trying to be his own man. If I'm playing a promotion based in the US, only Jay Chord gets a 2nd generation gimmick. Alicia Strong would too but she's already a 7-time champ in 2020 so her legacy is good enough on its own. In fact most 2nd generation stars are good enough to not need to rely on their family name. Back to the topic of the thread, I'm struggling to book Freddy Huggins. I like him, but feel he's not quite good enough to be world champion, and too over to compete for the TV Title, so he's in this 50/50 cycle of winning a feud then losing a feud. I'm afraid he might get stuck in the Dolph Ziggler role. Although I'm currently pushing Chris Flynn to be World Champion which I didn't think I'd do, so maybe there's hope for Huggins. Rocky Golden is someone I've always disliked. I've gone to play TCW with earlier CVerse mods but bailed because I've felt the need to push Rocky. To me he just doesn't fit in TCW, and I'm glad he left for SWF in 2020.

  11. Sorry guys I didn't mean to come off as sad or self pitying, and I wasn't referring specifically to myself or my creations. I was just thinking about how the activity on this thread has dropped off quite a bit since last year, and with the new AI picture pack, naturally many are going to want to create pictures that align with that style. Add that most of the OG creators on this thread aren't around much anymore, we may have reached the point where new traditional renders become far more scarce. Personally I'm okay with it. AI lets more people create and creating is fun so more power to them, but I fully expect some people to continue with 3d renders. Also, I'm a stubborn guy and I like creating. If I want to make renders and think absolutely no one else will use them, I'm still going to make them, even if only rarely. I know some here feel the same.

  16. For old time's sake. TEW IX could mean the end of an era here. The Behemoths (Killer Shark & Titan) Dreadnought (Again - clearly I'm in love with the man)
  17. Damn, was hoping the game would start in 2024/5 so Dreadnought would actually start off decent. Oh well. My predictions are: BCG will have overtaken or be very close to overtaking PGHW as the number two organization in Japan. The order of the big 3 in the US in terms of pop and money will be the same. However, the new features involving creative teams and backstage roles will be implemented in a way that gives USPW a very toxic backstage environment. In contrast, TCW will have a great backstage environment (as long as Jay Chord doesn't have a role). Speaking of the big 3, SWF will have a women's division. TCW will not. Predicting a new Canadian company with a sports entertainment like product to fill the void left by CGC. Hoping for at least one next gen DeColt (or I'll just make some if there aren't) EWA will have a TV deal, helping them pull further ahead of their competition in Europe I'm a huge TCW mark so I'll make some more specific predictions for them: I predict the World Title lineage since 2020 will be Aaron Andrews --> Jay Chord --> Sammy Bach --> Jay Chord (starting the game off with his 2nd reign, and Mighty Mo being the 2021 King of Kings winner) Aaron Andrews and Wolf Hawkins have their TCW contract lengths in the 2020 database set to 4 years and 5 years respectively, so they'll still be around The New Wave will be reunited Edd Stone will have left the company to finally reunite with his family in Canada Davis Wayne Newton will finally have a contract with a big company, joining the TCW roster The Syndicate will be broken up. The Sinner Society will still be together, although with a slightly different line-up. Ernest Youngman will NOT be signed with TCW This last prediction is far fetched but I could see a big story of the 2022 database being Nicky Champion leaving USPW for TCW. Maybe he leaves due to being sick of backstage politics and Bri-Co shelling out the cash. This one change would be a huge shakeup to the CVerse. Might seem unlikely, but is it really a new TEW game if there isn't a major talent steal? Anyway, that's all I've got for now.

  21. Hey it's been awhile. These are some older renders I haven't posted since I was last here. - - - Edward Cornell | Tommy Cornell | Beast Bantom (lighting adjustment) | Sir Winston Watoga - - - Otis Von Battenberg | Sasquatch McGraw | Findlay O'Farraday | Animal Harker I don't use DAZ anymore but I've been learning to draw and paint so I had a go at creating a CVerse character. Dreadnought I can't draw to the level of DAZ or AI yet but when I get better and can make pictures that fit in well with the other renders on the board maybe I'll create some more. For now consider this an experiment.
