  1. I always do a brand split and have 2 or 3 brands each with its own show. There is now way I'm doing a brand split in TEW 2020 at the moment, lol. Booking is way to chore like and the fact that I have tinker around to do an angle that is within the "perfect" time limit frame just adds to the work. I decided at the last moment to get TEW 2020 but it was mostly due to loyalty and the hope that some things will be addressed. I'm still toying with TEW 2020 but if some more things aren't fixed (and there isn't a whole lot that needs fixing) then I'll just revert back to TEW 2016 for no other reason than 2016 doesn't feel like work.
  2. Cverse is my favorite. For me I just like the fictional data bases more. When I first started with this series I preferred the RW mods (back in the EWR days). When the switch was made to TEW I started out for a short moment with the RW mods but decided to try out the Cverse. It was just more fun for me. I didn't feel limited to pre-conceived ideas. Not that I would totally copy real life but for example I felt as I would have to create and use Evolution as a stable when it was time for it to debut. Then I'd have to eventually break it up and do a story line that had Batista against Evolution. So I started feeling like I was re-creating what had already been done to an extent.

I've tried other fictional mods and there are some great ones out there as well but I just always default back to Cverse.

  4. I prefer the new system. I don't see promotions referring to talent as being "main eventer, upper mid-card, mid-card, lower mid-card, opener etc... When they are talking about the roster talent they usually say something like "mega star, big name, veteran, up and comer" and such. I think the new system feels more organic, realistic and has a more natural flow to it.
  5. I had almost decided not to purchase TEW 2020 because of the product section but I changed my mind and got it. I'm still undecided if I'm going to stay with TEW 2016 or switch to TEW 2020. I like everything about TEW 2020 except for the product section. It makes it seem very limited. As for TEW 2016 I like everything about it except for some of the new concepts in TEW 2020. Kind of a weird place to be in, lol.
  6. I am thinking about buying this but I was wondering how good is this despite the fact that there are issues with the Auto Booker and smaller issues?

Most of the issues at this point seem to be minor and probably will be dealt with at some point. The only thing bothering me is the product selection. I came very close to not buying because of it but I changed my mind. Other than that I'm happy with the game. I'd give the game somewhere between a B- or B. If the product section was more versatile then I'd give it an A easy, maybe A+. When TEW 2016 came out I think I gave it an A or A+. I haven't decided if I'm sticking with TEW 2016 or making to change to TEW 2020.

I'd advise trying out the demo. If your new to the series then maybe even try out the demo for TEW 2016 and TEW 2020 to see which you like the best.

  8. The way I think of it, you need a good grounding in basics (40+), safety, selling. Those are your key stats. They won't make you good by themselves, but will make sure you don't actively stink up the ring.

Then on top of that, high stats in at least one of either brawling (or hardcore/puro if that's how your company rolls), technical or aerial. That will make you interesting to watch. You don't really need more than one. 90 brawling and 20 technical and aerial is better (IMO) than 60 in all three. Obviously 90 in all three would be ideal. ;)

Then psychology (and experience now) is the seasoning on top, which makes sure you're able to be the leader in the ring instead of needing someone else to tell you what to do. These come naturally though, so they're the least important in terms of hiring people (assuming you've already got some vets on the roster), especially youngsters.

Kinda like when you're hiring for a company, knowledge of the industry and processes is the least important thing, as that can be taught and will come with experience. If you keep shouting at customers who get under your skin (poor basics), being miserable all the time and looking like you've just got out of bed (poor selling) or swearing at them (safety), that's a huge problem. You should be able to engage them in conversation and make them interested in what you have to say (top row skills). But not knowing the answer to something technical they ask (psychology) isn't that important, that'll come with time and nobody knows everything.

Thank you for posting this. Very helpful indeed.

  9. Thank you.

Dude, you totally rock! Thank you so much. This is the main reason I never booked anywhere except the US and Canada, because I don't know the other areas and locations as well and I'm to lazy to learn. Now I can have these wonderful maps to help and at the same time improve my geography knowledge.

If you get some extra time, the only map missing is India. It would extra awesome if you could do India as well.

Anyway, thank you again so much for the maps.

  10. RW mods are so subjective. Just a quick discussion on Discord we had a week ago proved it, we had wildly different Star Quality numbers for Jeff Hardy, Jericho etc.. That's also one of the reason why I never play RW - the mods very rarely project the stats that I think are the correct ones. Everyone has 10-20 points higher stats than they should, pretty much.

I can always kind of guess when a RW mod is made by someone that likes high-fly type of wrestling and has a bias for it because every single powerhouse wrestler has they're stats set 15 to 25 points lower than they should be. I've noticed most that like high-fly or technical wrestlers seem to be biased against the powerhouse guys for some reason. Anyway, it can hard to get Goldberg over in some of those mods.

This is why I've always made my own. :)

    By me, for me.

I tweak several things that I disagree with even on C-Verse. Not to saying my ideas are better but there are several points I don't like in C-Verse that just don't work for me.

  11. I think you forgot to say (SIKE) or (APRIL FOOLS) at the end of this....

Sorry people voicing clear issues with the game ruins your safe space.

For real? You’re actually praising the locking of threads that criticize? Oh, boy. I don’t even have words for this one LMAO

I'm guessing he's being sarcastic, lol. At least I think/hope so. At this point its become a joke, lol. Just makes things look worse than they are to delete post that have any criticism of TEW 2020.

  12. I'd just like to say a big thank you to everybody who mods this forum and has been working hard to delete criticism of TEW2020.

Locking negative threads and letting positive ones rise to the top of the page has helped me see the good side and has hidden problems from my view.

I think this is a nice way into lure people into buying the game. I'll be buying on day 1 (whenever that is).

    LMAO.

  13. Loyalty is the only reason I could see myself buying the game in it's current state so I understand where you are coming from with your post. I am going the opposite direction though, primarily based on how I currently don't feel respected as a long time customer at this point, whether it's by other long term fans of the series who are more active posters, or by the moderators who appear to be actively deleting some dissenting opinions and criticisms... It really has all just left a sour taste in my mouth, as someone who has been buying all the TEW games (as well as Wrespi and Comic book hero) since EWR.

I totally agree. I have had some of my post taken down that were mildly critical. I did a poll offering ideas based on what others were suggesting to get an idea of what most wanted to see. The poll was removed, lol. Most of the voters (about 78%) wanted something different. There were only 15 voters before it was taken down. So yeah, it has kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. However, I'm not one that worries about the bad taste, I'm mostly concerned about the game in its current state. That is mostly why I'm in the no category. For the first time since 2004 I actually find myself enjoying the traditional WWE game (WWE 2k20 as bad as it is) more than TEW 2020. That is a huge swing for me. I'll be sticking with TEW 16 unless something major changes.

  14. At first I liked TEW 20 but after playing the game for a while I'm a no. I think at first I was looking at the new features the most and is probably why I felt that way. I have purchased every TEW game on release date but not this one.

I'm really disappointed with how the product selection is done. There is no way to customize it. All of the penalties I'm getting dinged for makes the game feel like a chore. TEW 16 was fun and previous versions were fun, TEW 20 is not so much fun.

The UI seems to be more trouble than its worth. The UI is also making the game feel like a chore. I have to spend way to much time clicking buttons and going from one screen to the next to find something. I've spent a lot of time trying to give this game a chance but it's just to disappointing. I feel it's a step backwards.

Unless the UI is massively improved and product customization is added then I'm a no but Adam has already said neither of these are happening so that brings me to a no.

There are also some other issues I'm not happy with but product limitation and UI are the big disappointments for me.

There are some great new features and wonderful ideas but I'm just not digging the limitations of TEW 20.

I'm going to hope that maybe a future TEW will be what TEW 2020 was hyped up to be. I'm also hoping that the game will be developed on something better than VB. It's time to look forward.

  15. I think you can use them in matches, but they're still technically retired. I don't know how overuse penalties work when doing this, though.

After clicking the wrestler box in the editor, you have to talk to the worker and ask them to come out of retirement. If their skills and health are okay then they most likely will. If not then beef-up their skills and/or health and then ask them to un-retire again. Be sure to make note of where their skills and/or health are so you can set them back if you want.
