  1. Can this function be added in? I already have a save I want to continue, but I also have a few belts I'd like added to the Game World without having to start all over again. It would also be useful for modding and customization in general. You can access titles from the In-Game editor, but some reason there's no belt option in the importer.

I agree. I've always wanted a way to add belts with the lineage during a game.

  2. Bring back star ratings :D:p

TEW seems to be moving further and further away from the familiar territory of wrestling over the years in terms of presentation, at what point does it cease to be a wrestling sim and become a number management sim? Even if it is that under the hood, can we at least have a surface level that feels more like wrestling rather than playing around with a calculator or random number generator?

    Totally agree.

  3. Teemu I just want to applaud you for trying and trying and trying even though the sandbox crowd keeps getting kicked down. You're genuinely still putting in an effort. After my last comment about custom products vs the current system was deleted by mods, I gave up trying to fight the fight because it's pretty clear they don't care about how we want to play the game.

But then you come flying back in with another great suggestion and well thought out argument. Kudos to you sir, I hope someone listens to you.

I want to agree with this as well. Thank you.

I posted a poll the other day about products just to see what everyone is thinking. I would have thought someone at Greydog would have been at least a little interested to know. Well apparently not. The poll was deleted in less than 12 hours. Seems as though they didn't like the way people were voting. I PM'ed Arlie 2 days ago to ask why and to apologize if I somehow caused a problem but I haven't heard back yet.

  4. not the booking screen, the view tag teams screen, you can use to potentially sign new teams, it's hidden away under "veiw all tag teams worldwide" in the office. My fault for not being clear.

I'm not able to find this at all. I can't even find where to hire tag teams. I'm starting from the office screen, I click teams button, from there I click view all tag teams world wide. The only thing I can click on from there is search but there is nothing in the search that allows me to filter to women's tag teams. What am I don't wrong?

  5. So I had a thought.

Can a 'Sandbox' style product be added? No bonuses or penalties. At all. The user can book literally whatever. If the AI takes over this product it could revert to no product product or classic balanced.

This could allow for a solution to those who want to book a very specific way while still allowing the powerful product system to impact AI.

This would be great or just a sandbox mode in general with no bonuses or penalties. I think that would please that crowd.

A user preference to disable penalties/bonuses would probably be easier and that would be a true EWR mode.

I think either one of these ideas would fix the problem.

  6. I'm not sure about you guys but my TEW 2020 load times are half the length of my 2016 load times! I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600x and spending about two-three seconds trying to read as much of a workers' loading screen bio before it'll jump to the next!

Yes, load times are super quick for me with TEW 2020. Everything is seems instant. I never thought of TEW 2016 as being slow but this version is way faster. The only thing that takes any time at all is launching a new game and simulating the first 2 or 3 days and even all of that is really quick.

  7. Really enjoying the game so far, but I noticed in the tag team search you can't filter by gender, would be useful, especially running a womens company as it means the vast majority of teams on the list are useless too me as there are far more male teams then female.

I agree. This would be very useful. I use TCW but I like to build a women's division for the company including a tag teams.

  8. I think the overhauls to perception/pushes + some of the other things already mentioned here all contribute to making this version feel a bit more like an actual game. For me at least, that's going to give it a lot more staying power within an actual save.

I meant to add perception to my list of major selling points for TEW 2020. It just seems way more realistic to me. Honestly I'm still getting use to it but I love it.

  9. I see your point, but my head-canon would be something like "shit went viral yo."

I also would think (this is my hand-cannon as well) that people who live to far away from the show get to see it now, so more people are interested in watching it now that they can see it online.

I would also be thinking the same. It seems about right to me though. I would think that 30,000 something people buying an event from a small company would be expected. It really isn't a huge number. There are videos on YouTube that go viral and all the sudden have millions of views. One of my favorite video makers of all time (Steve Cash, RIP) made really awesome videos about a talking cat named Sylvester. He made over 60 videos total and had almost 800 million views for the videos. Unless you're a cat nerd like me you probably haven't heard of him, lol.

  10. <p>For me I love almost everything about TEW 2020. It's way better than TEW 2016 and that version it's self is still great to me. It's really easier for me to state what I'm not happy about.</p><p> </p><p>

Really only one thing bothering me about TEW 2020 and that is the product section. Overall I like it and see it as an improvement over TEW 2016 but I think we should have a way of customizing products like we did in TEW 2016. One idea I had was maybe just have a product freestyle option where we could just book whatever we want. Everything else I was unhappy about has been fixed and patched (which wasn't much anyway).</p><p> </p><p>

If the product section is tweaked a little bit then I'd probably give the game an A+, if not then probably an A-.</p><p> </p><p>

So my favorite things about TEW 2020 would be: 1. Attributes 2. Gimmicks 3. Tag Team search option 4. Child companies and the fact that we can bring up or send down titles. (I would however, love to be able to bring up the title and title holder at the same time so it doesn't interrupt the title lineage) 5. Again, just want to say that I do like the product section mostly</p>

  11. Only suggestion I have is to keep trying skins. Something dark might help, a few of the skins still generally keep the brightish tone of the default skin. I know when I first started playing the default skin messed up my eyes badly, particularly worker stat lists.

Try out Curb Stomp Skin's Simplified Skin. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=545643

Thank you for posting this. It is very helpful. Looks very good and is easy on the eyes.

Thank you Adam for your continued work on making an already awesome game even better.</p>
  13. Probably won't happen but I'd love to see a pre-order beta. The game is awesome as it is now and I know Adam will get it perfected anyway, he always does.

Most of what I'm doing now is trying my best to find obscure scenarios that will crash the game even if unrealistic so I can report if I run into something. I'm actually having fun doing that for some reason, lol. I haven't found anything that hasn't already been reported as of yet.

  14. <p>I did, what I'm calling an ultimate stress test, for 3 features of TEW. Child companies, alliances and broadcasters all in one.</p><p> </p><p>

So here's what I did. I set TCW to own every active promotion in the game as a child company. I created an alliance that included every active company in the game. I created my own broadcaster and gave a broadcast agreement and show for every active company in the game. I did the 2 months of allowed game play and I had no problems out of it. I traded wrestlers and titles all over the place, gave some companies 2 or 3 shows, created 20 alliance titles, and sent down and called up several wrestlers for development. Not the first problem. I just wanted to test these three features to see if they would work under the most ridiculous situation.</p><p> </p><p>

Honestly, I gotta say it was actually kind of fun in a weird way. Imagine owning the entire wrestling industry, lol.</p><p> </p><p>

As a second test I set TCW to own USPW, USPW to own SWF and SWF owned RIPW. Just wanted to see if it would crash it running that type of set up. I only tested for 2 weeks but I had no problems out of it as well.</p><p> </p><p>

    I used patch #5 for this test.</p>

  15. Thanks for the responses everyone.

So just a hypothetical, if I were booking Triple H vs Scott Steiner from the early 2000's in a 15 to 20 minute match how many points should a match be penalized for Scott Steiner having low stamina? I'm just trying to understand stamina in wrestling a little better.

What would an estimate for stamina be of say, Andre The Giant, Scott Steiner, Triple H, Goldberg/Batista, Rock, Austin, Flair, Sting be? Just asking so I can kind of understand what I'm looking at.

Again, thanks a ton everyone for breaking it down. It really helps to understand it a little more.

Admittedly, Scott had some other physical issues, and HHH was going out of his way to not do Scott any favors.<p> </p><p> Another example of someone who you wouldn't necessarily think of as "out of shape", Shane Douglas's match with (I'm pretty sure it was) Raven in the first year or so of TNA. Douglas was VOMITING during the course of the match.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I didn't see Punk vs Rock or Douglas vs Raven but I'll find it on youtube later. Who was struggling with the Punk vs Rock match? I did see Triple H and Steiner in the early 2000's. I don't remember thinking Steiner was so badly winded that it ruined the matches for me though. I'm not even sure I thought about it to be honest. I have to admit I'm not one that notices something like that unless its really obvious. Someone vomiting during a match would definitely be noticeable but then again I would also wonder if it was worked in for effect, lol. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I'll for sure check out Rock vs Punk and Douglas vs Raven. I really quit watching wrestling once the PG era kicked in.</p>
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Blackman" data-cite="Blackman" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48362" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That problem should solve itself. Even after 2 months in the demo: if they have a match every week, the value will go up of itself. And quite a lot.<p> </p><p> Don't be too afraid of the penalties. Most workers should be able to work a 10 minute match without getting more than 1/2 points of penalty (at least that's how it seems). That's not that much. Imo the values are perfectly fine considering they rise so much.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I can totally understand an obese wrestler like Yokozuna or Andre The Giant having trouble with stamina but what about someone that should be in about as good as shape as Triple H or Austin or even Batista?</p><p> </p><p> So what about people like Kurt Laramee, Big Smack Scott, Ekuma on SWF or Dazzling Dave Diamond, Killer Shark, Titan on TCW or Atlas, Charlie Thatcher, Petr Novak, The Force in USPW? All of them are really big names in C-Verse and all fairly young (mid 30's to mid 40's) and considering they're body style seems like they should be in good enough enough shape to go 15 to 20 minutes without a big stamina penalty.</p>
  18. <p>I always use the C-Verse data for games and have never really used a real world mod much. I always increase everyone's stamina by 15 to 20 points because if I don't I can't book many matches over 9 minutes without getting a penalty. I always felt like the ratings for stamina in C-Verse were a little low. That said, I was wondering what everyone else thought?</p><p> </p><p>

What does a real match look like when one or more workers don't have enough stamina? I always figured that when the match slows down after 2 or 3 minutes is because they start to get a little winded because that's usually when things slow a bit, but then after a few minutes it picks back up. Basically that continues through out the match. Seems like every match does that unless its short (under 5 minutes). Just a constant cycle of up and down and I just always figured the down moments are so the workers can both rest for a few. Does anyone know of a few real life examples (involving big names and not obscure wrestlers that most haven't heard of) of a match failing in 9 minutes or more because one or more workers involved ran out of stamina?</p>

  19. Or have the company buy the alliance outright (or something like it) and do it that way. For a historical example of this almost happening: Jim Crockett Promotions (the company later bought by Turner to form WCW) essentially "owned" the NWA by 1987. Crockett had bought out promotions not already bought out by McMahon, and Crockett also had Ric Flair (the NWA World Champion) under an exclusive contract which he used to change Flair from a traveling champion who would put the title up in any and every territory of the NWA to a company champion - that is, JCP's champion. JCP became synonymous with NWA at that point with the other American territories (save for WWC in Puerto Rico) dropping out of the alliance over the course of that year and the year prior (when Mid-South dropped out and became UWF).

I would love to see that sort of thing implemented, as it adds a bit of risk-reward to the business strategy end of things. Do you stick around, do you just up and leave, or do you try to take over the alliance outright and become the alliance yourself? I do think it only really works if the top belt in the alliance is NOT the one that you can simply buy or take with you if you leave, as that would most likely be the most prestigious one. So if you leave, you run the risk of not having the prestige that that belt carries. If you stick around, you have it but have to share it...unless you just take over.

I like it. Great idea I haven't thought about.

  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="cmacias94" data-cite="cmacias94" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48334" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Title pretty much says it. I think if your company is a founding member of an alliance you should be able to move a title from your company to your alliance, or your alliance to your company. Having alliances titles locked to your alliance and that's it is a bummer.<p> </p><p> Say you're in an alliance, and you create a title for it, if months, years, whatever, later you decide to leave the alliance, you should be able to take that title with you since you are the one that created it. On the other hand, say you're a small company in an alliance, and the founding member of that alliance decides to leave and takes the title with them, it would leave you out to dry without a big prestige title. It could be some fun interesting gameplay.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yes, I would love to see this happen. Just have more options in general with moving titles from place to place.</p>
