  1. Just found this mod listed on HOPW. How playable is it and is there anything I should know/do?

     

    The fact that your the only person to reply to this in over a year should tell you everything you need to know.

     

    I very much doubt I will ever do an update for this for TEW. if you would like to do anything with this data and release it as your own go ahead it is 100% freeware.

     

    TEW has a lot more polished mods available.

     

    I have taken the data offsite and am releasing a April 2003 version for another wrestling sim.

  2. I doubt any of the suggestions here are really going to matter but I'll suggest anyways.

     

    If a worker is on a handshake deal and are set as mandatory owner for a promotion they should be able to leave to open the new promotion.

     

    It makes no sense that a guy working once a month for $30 wouldn't leave to take up ownership of a promotion.

     

    Same should go with head bookers some should be able to leave the handshake deal booker job if it means they "step up" into owner of a promotion.

     

    I would also like to see random events where promotions are sold to other AI.

    Background:

    This (poorly edited) data was released at the end of TEW13, it was then updated for personal use for 2016. The user CM_Punk21 released his own version of the data for 2016. This data does not use any of CM_Punk21 upgrades.

     

    I have been working of the data since the release of TEW20, this is not a quick convert edit a few things with WWE and release. I have gone though every worker in the database, every worker has a home base and most workers will have attributes. The data is not perfect and most likely never will be

     

     

    Please Note:

    The data may be unbalanced

    Some of your favourite workers may be missing

    Some pictures are missing

    Some rosters maybe lacking

    Some changes have been made to better simulate the data in TEW

  6. I will be releasing an update to both data sets this evening with all of the things mentioned added/amended.

     

    Personality Attributes are still being looked at and tested as there is only so many times to can see 5 backstage fights, 4 damaged rental cars, 3 fights with fans, 2 mocked pushes per show before it ruins the game.

     

    Most personalities seem very overpowered so I prefer to leave them out rather than have them ruin the mod, as an example. I had Bubba Ray Dudley have a bully personality and he just beat people up every show. I think this would work better if he only did this to people with lower popularity/experience than him rather than established roster members.

     

    I do however love the personalities that effect booking like refuses to put people over / offering to put people over, shining up lower level opponents, passing on knowledge etc.

     

    I guess when it comes to personalities its that sometimes we set them to what we know they will become and not what they may of been at the time.

     

    I dont know that Bubba ray would have the same attributes in 1995 and in say 2001+

    Reason being is that besides the titles TNA had nothing really to do with the NWA and I wasn't happy with how it was simming in test games. TNA World and TNA tags have replaced the titles</p><p> </p><p>

    I have no problems with the mock up. I also have no problems with an expanded search options and I would have no problem if your able toggle off and on the whiteboard.</p><p> </p><p>

    really when it comes down to it this is the only screen that really matters (below) I just wish we have more options to edit down the side</p><p> </p><p>

  11. Personally I dont think anything you have done here is that different to what we already have besides moving the buttons around.

     

    I like the white board and I use it more now than any other version. I'm able to take notes of all the thing I need to add/change and follow up on, Right there in my face so I dont forget. I dont have a problem with it an option to toggle on and off though.

     

    The only things that would like that would improve the editor is adding relationships and chemistry to workers screen so its easier to edit as your working though your workers.

     

    and just for me I would like letters back no real reason I just prefer playing with letters over numbers.

  12. What are the contracts like? are they ongoing or written?

     

    I've noticed an issue with ongoing contracts where 70% of the rosters are on $50 per show or less. some workers are with a company 5+ years and are still only making $30 per show never having a payrise at all.

     

    I would think a company making that much money would spend 4x/5x more money on workers then what they are spending.

  13. In the editor the company needs to have prefix belts set to no.

     

    I think it depends on the needs of the company. like growth in roster size ect. maybe prestige of the title may count? the higher it is the higher chance it will come back?

     

    In my mod WWE would always revive the ECW TV title at the start of every game but the start of the mod WWE has no mid-card titles so I rather that than the WWE spirit title or whatever crap is generated in game.

  14. I'd love to see how many active users GDS had prior to the release of TEW2020 compared to now. Exactly what you describe is why I no longer visit GDS on a daily basis, it isn't even a favorite bookmark anymore. I have issues with TEW and I have things I enjoy but I keep all of that to myself now. What is the point of posting on a forum when 90% of the replies are unwelcoming at best?

     

    I was thinking almost the same thing, For a new release TEW game the forums are pretty dead. The mods forum 6 months into a new game is a ghost town. In my time zone only 9 threads have had any activity today.

     

    The only issue I have is the data that comes with the game and the 15 year old pictures it comes with.

    This data is still a very much a work in progress and the idea is to build the data from as strong of a base as I can, Only USA, Canada and UK are active at the moment. Also some of your favourite workers or promotions maybe missing but they will be added. I have already gone though most workers and they all have been given a home area and attributes have been edited.

     

    At the moment I have an idea of a 5 stage plan for the data which is not final and subject to change,

     

    Stage 1:

    Base data released

     

    Stage 2:

    Data fixes, Narratives update, adding missing workers, Broadcasters update. Venue update

     

    Stage 3:

    Data fixes, adding workers 2003-2008, UK scene update.

     

    Stage 4:

    Data fixes, adding workers 2009-2015, Mexico expansion

     

    Stage 5:

    Data fixes, Japan expansion. Hall of immortals/Hall of fame update

Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning, Vietnam. The Good Son, which I like, but most everyone else, including the people who made it, don't seem all that crazy about. Tommy Boy, can't forget that one. Home Alone, A Christmas Story, The Polar Express, Toy Story.</p><p> </p><p> Ghostbusters, Aliens, Meatballs, Star Treks: The Voyage Home & The Undiscovered Country, I could go on and on.</p><p> </p><p> Way too many others to count, I'd better quit while I'm ahead.</p><p> </p><p> In other news, I've seen a couple of brand new re-makes/re-imaginings lately: The Lion King, Aladdin, and Child's Play. Of those, Child's Play was far and away my favorite. The Lion King and Aladdin were all right, but didn't seem to have the... passion? Raw, natural emotion? of the originals. Especially the Lion King. I always have cold chills during the first few minutes of the original Lion King, didn't happen at all for the remake. Also, seen both the new It moves, and very much enjoyed those as well.</p><p> </p><p> Oh, and I just bought Bill & Ted Face The Music through Amazon Prime.   17. I'm working on my database and I have company that just wont open.

     

    I have tried everything I can think of to get it to open. I have a mandatory owner that I want to open the promotion and it just wont open. my worker meets the criteria to open the company.

     

    The last thing I could think of was the my worker style preference didn't match the company product and have spent the last day testing that theory and I can't get the company to open.

     

    I'm using the gorilla warfare product for the company.

     

    has anyone else had this issue? and can someone give me some insight on what i'm doing wrong? this can't be that different from 16
