  1. How does Max Age work for alter egos? When under contract does the alter ego automatically become unavailable once the worker hits the max age or does it only become inactive when they’re being hired by a company? For example, in Fleisch’s 98 mod Rikishi/Fatu is using The Sultan gimmick. It’s WWF exclusive and set for a max age of 33. Im playing as ECW, so will the AI stop using this gimmick when he turns 34 and switch it to one of the others that are available? Or does the AI only take this into consideration when hiring a worker? In other words if they keep renewing his contract for the next 10 years without releasing him is it possible he’ll still be The Sultan in 2008?
  2. Just noticed WCW Halloween Havoc isn't in the 98 database (v1.1). I haven't checked 92
  3. Possible silly question, but I don't want my 98 save to auto-generate any new workers aside from the real life workers set-up to debut in the database. Is the database pre-set to stop this happening, or do I need to have certain settings chosen? I've turned off auto-regenerate and picture requirement on, but I've just noticed the Free Pictures section is stacked, so I'm guessing the pic requirement setting will make no difference? I've not long started my save so restarting isn't a big deal for me right now if the only option is to delete everything from the Free Pictures section of the DB. I just don't wanna get a year into it and find the game world populated with a bunch of randos
  4. Just checked and she's listed as female on my save (v 1.1). WWF's product doesn't have women's wrestling integrated either. Is it possible you accidentally changed that on your save, or are playing v 1.0, Villain?
  5. Didn't have a lot of time so threw something together quick. Not totally happy with them, but hopefully they'll do. The Corporation - Alt 1
  6. Unless anyone already has one made, I’ll try whip one up in the next couple hours.
  7. Y'know, maybe it was just that he changed his ring gear. Pre WCW he mostly wore white t-shirts and those baggy white and black zoombas. When he returned he kinda stuck to black tees and dark jeans. So that probably made him look slimmer haha
  8. I’ll 2nd this - it’s the same look as his appearance on the cover of the first ECW album which was released around the time of his departure to WCW. 97-98 Sandman does look slightly different to 2000/01 Sandman, though. I don’t know what the difference is (face less bloated, different hair, I dunno?) so I do understand the difference you may have been looking for. I started watching in 2000 and when I checked out their older events I noticed Sandman didn’t quite look the same.
  9. How's this? Based it off the apron design from early 90s. Totally sympathise on the OCD, so if the colours don't match the logo you're using I can swap them around (or make this banner style into a logo).

  11. UPDATED: 06 Oct 2022 Finally updating this now the new board can show images! Contents: Real Word: - ECW: PPV Logos, Supershow Logos, TV Logo, Stable Logos (Mostly 98-2001, some 93-97) - WWF: Stable Logos - WCW: Banners CVerse: - PSW: Alt Company Logos and Banners, Custom 'National' Logos and Banners, Alt Event Logos, Custom Event Logos - SNP: Custom Company Logos and Banners, Events Logos - UEW: Event Logos Other: - Generic Trophies ECW PPV logos are replicas of arena banners, or are closely inspired by them, rather than the home video/DVD cover logos which were never used elsewhere by ECW. Supershows never usually had banners or custom aprons, so some are inspired by TV spots when peddling the tapes. A couple others use fonts/designs from event programs, tickets, etc. I've included a couple generic logos based on the normal ECW banners they used for these shows if you want that authenticity! Stable logos mostly inspired by t-shirt designs where possible. 12. Thanks so much for this, Fleisch. As soon as you mentioned you were releasing a final update I was glad I didn’t get time to start a game after the first release! Definitely gonna be doing an ECW save, but I’ve no doubt I’ll get multiple playthroughs with WWF and WCW too. Looking forward to any updates you got coming on the 92 mod as well.
  13. Couple ECW notes: - Joel Gertner should be removed from the announcing team. Styles was still calling shows solo at this point - Paul Diamond's popularity should be reduced so he is Unimportant within ECW - I feel Tommy Rich should have his popularity reduced so he is Well Known at best and Recognisable at worst within ECW - If you want to set up for long term booking it might be worth considering removing Lance Storm from The Triple Threat stable and putting Bigelow back in. In storyline Storm is only with them for a couple months, never officially gets made a member and by the start of February the whole thing is revealed to be a ruse - Also, I'm not sure if it's something I did during the set-up, but the game created generic events to fill in the gaps for months without one. It didn't do that in the beta
  14. Figured I'd share a big dump of ECW PPV/event logos I created for my saves, styled after the banners they'd hang in the arenas. I haven't used logos from the DVD covers for the smaller events/supercards, as the designs from the home releases were literally never used anywhere else by ECW (they even changed the PPV logos for the covers). Instead I've used a few fonts I was able to identify from tv spots, event programs, tickets, posters, etc. Some events are still accurate, some aren't. Either way, all the fonts were used by them at some point, so they'll all have an authentic ECW feel (hopefully!). As a neat little extra, I've also created logos for a couple shows I've only ever seen referenced on old ticket stubs and programs. ECW: Extreme Championship Wrestling PPVs Guilty As Charged Living Dangerously Barely Legal - Alt 1 Wrestlepalooza Hardcore Heaven Heat Wave Anarchy Rulz November To Remember - Alt 1 - Alt 2 November To Remember (97) Massacre on 34th Street Events/SuperCards A Matter of Respect - Alt 1 As Good As It Gets - Alt 1 Born To Be Wired Crossing the Line CyberSlam (98) CyberSlam (2000) Holiday Hell (2000) Hostile City Showdown - Alt 1 House Party - Alt 1 - Alt 2 It Ain’t Seinfeld - Alt 1 Ultimate Jeopardy - Alt 1 UltraClash (93) UltraClash (98) - Alt 1 Generic Event Banner ’98 Generic Event Banner ’99 TV Shows ECW on TNN (Logo) ECW on TNN (TV Intro) - Alt 1 ECW Hardcore TV (Style 1) ECW Hardcore TV (Style 2) ECW Hardcore TV (Style 3) Other Events Beach Brawl - Alt 1 Extreme Beach Party Red, White, Black & Blue Tour - Alt 1 There's a bunch of pre-97 event logos and some minor tours/shows from 2000 unaccounted for that I may add to this later. For now I'm gonna work on a haul of ECW stable logos, hopefully I'll be able to share those soon.
  15. Only had time to have a quick poke around and it looks great! Can't wait to get my teeth stuck into this. Hopefully I'll get chance later tonight to start up an ECW game, definitely gonna give WWF and maybe WCW a whirl at some point in the future too. Much obliged, Fleisch!
  16. Totally appreciate all the work you’ve poured into this mod. Having worked with clients who don’t get how much effort goes into what they see as ‘small changes’ to their projects, I can understand how complicated updating everything must have been if starting from scratch would have been easier! Looking forward to seeing this drop
  17. Couple other random bits: - “Hollywood” Bob Starr should be removed from ECW roster - Stevie Richards should have a 4 month starting absence, as he was out having neck surgery at this time (the one that messed up his vocal chords) - Justin Credible is married to someone outside the business - Beulah McGillicutty should have Outside Interests trait as she leaves the business mid-98
  18. This Reddit post really helped me understand the general differences between the RW mods available: Either way there’s no right answer. Just whatever suits your own gameplay preferences best EDIT: Be sure to read through the comments as well as you’ll get a much better rounded general idea than if you just read the original post
  19. Sounds like a good compromise! Got a few more random bits I’ll leave here in case you want them. Workers: - Jeff Jones should be added to ECW roster as a ref (w/ Heel Ref gimmick) - Pee-Wee Moore should be added to ECW roster as a ref - Al Snow should probably have Flavour of the Month attribute as he was just getting super over in ECW with the Head gimmick at this time - Sabu is married to someone outside the business - RVD gets married in 98 to someone outside the business - Joel Gertner gets married in early 98 to someone outside the business - Justin Credible should have a friendships with Sean Waltman and Scott Hall? Broadcasting: - The next episode of ECW Hardcore TV is #247 Production Values: - Music possibly should be changed to at least Minor Licensed? May be tough to find a balance because they used a mixture of their in house band(s) doing original songs and covers/knock-offs, and using huge tracks like Enter Sandman, Back in Black, etc. IIRC I think Heyman admitted most of the time they didn’t have permission to use the licensed music. So, I dunno, maybe Minor Licensed or Licensed may best replicate that? Ongoing storylines at the time were: - Taz vs Shane Douglas vs Bam Bam Bigelow - Sabu (w/ RVD and Bill Alfonso as support) vs Sandman - Lance Storm vs Chris Candido (w/ Sunny as support) - Justin Credible vs Tommy Dreamer & Mikey Whipwreck - The Dudleys vs New Jack, Spike & Kronus - F.B.I. vs Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney
  20. How do you tend to set up workers in regards to their future roles? I noticed Guido is available to referee (think it’s 2010 he refs?), and Taz and Al Snow are available as colour guys. Whereas Heyman is only listed for his role at the time (personality) and isn’t available as a manager or colour. Just so I don’t go listing stuff that doesn’t need to be adjusted if I see any others I’ve been looking into what was going on with Furnas and LaFon at the time. Both are still apparently on loan to ECW from WWF a few months into 98. I think WWF were so unimpressed with them both that they got released upon returning (along with Brakus and Lance Wright) Phil LaFon is the interesting one. Despite being contracted to both companies he doesn’t wrestle again with ECW or WWF after Dec 97. As you mentioned he ends up in CMLL - but not until August 98. Well in November 97 he was arrested after an incident involving himself, a woman he was sticking it to, her husband and some guns. Maybe he’s injured, but it just seems odd that shortly after this he doesn’t wrestle again for either company. Maybe he should have a starting absence?
  21. <p>Just realised I forgot to add:</p><p> </p><p> Stables:</p><p> - Francine and Sunny should be added to Triple Threat stable, both as Support</p><p> - The Dudleys should be a Brotherhood stable.</p><p> - Justin Credible’s entourage should be a Cult stable</p><p> - Lance Wright’s WWF Invaders stable is possibly best suited as a Gang</p><p> </p><p> Titles:</p><p> - TV title should be a floating level championship</p><p> - Tag title probably should be as well</p><p> </p><p> Relationships:</p><p> Thinking about it, would it be worth setting ECW and WCW at war to better help simulate their hatred of each other and WCWs constant talent raids?</p><p> </p><p> EDIT:</p><p> - WWF may be more realistic with a No Signing agreement towards ECW. JR has said before Vince didn’t want to put them out of business and IIRC they only tended to sign talent when their contracts were up anyway. And thinking about it, after 2 Cold Scorpio leaves I can’t think of any major workers leaving ECW for WWF until The Dudleys and Taz in mid-late 99. So for now that might be more accurate.</p>
  22. The beta is looking great so far, gonna have to give this a play through when it sees a full release. (I may have to check out Chronicles 92 to keep me busy in the meantime!) I’ve been having a poke around ECW and found some things to keep you busy on this gloomy Saturday afternoon Relationships: - WWF and ECW should both adopt a friendly attitude to each other - ECW should be set to accept developmentals from WWF (there was no talent trading by 98) - WWF and ECW should both have a No Stealing agreement with each other - ECW absolutely loathed WCW, relationship should be hostile both sides - At the end of 97 ECW and FMW started working together. They should both adopt friendly attitude, have talent trading and a no stealing agreement (and should probably have an Alliance set up) - ECW and Michinoku Pro Wrestling should adopt friendly attitude. ECW should have a no stealing agreement. MPro should have a no signing agreement. Roster: - Al Snow is on loan to ECW from WWF but hasn't been assigned a contract with WWF - Doug Furnas was originally loaned to ECW from WWF in 97. I can’t find out for sure, but I assume he is still on loan at this point - Darren Drozdov should be on a 6 month loan to ECW from WWF - Lance Wright should be on a 6 month loan to ECW from WWF - Nicole Bass should be on ECW roster. She made her debut at the start of January and was then sent away for more training so should probably have a 1-2 month starting absence to simulate this - Bill Alfonso needs to be added to the ECW roster - Bill Wiles was part of the ECW roster around this time. He only wrestles sporadically so should be on a very limited short term deal (he makes 3 appearances in 98 from Jan-March if that helps) - Gran Hamada should be on a 1 month loan to ECW from Michinoku Pro - Gran Naniwa should be on a 1 month loan to ECW from Michinoku Pro - Great Sasuke should be on a 1 appearance loan to ECW from Michinoku Pro - Too Cold Scorpio/Flash Funk should be on a 1 appearance loan to ECW from WWF - Tammy Lynn Sytch (as Sunny) should be on the ECW roster, with a handshake agreement, as she was allowed to make appearances when she wasn’t booked for WWF shows - Chastity (Denise Riffle) is not in the database. She should be on the ECW roster as a Manager and Personality Managers not assigned: - Bill Alfonso manages RVD & Sabu - Francine manages Shane Douglas - Joel Gertner manages Buh Buh Ray, D-Von and Big Dick Dudley - Jason Knight manages Justin Credible - Sunny manages Chris Candido - Lance Wright manages Brakus, Doug Furnas and Darren Drozdov Tag Teams to add: - Chris Candido & Lance Storm started as a team in late 97 (Individuals) - RVD & Sabu started teaming in 96 (Individuals, but to be honest you could make a decent case for them to be a Unit at this point in time) - The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer started occasionally teaming in late 96 (Individuals) - Doring/Morrison & Roadkill started as a tag team in late 97 (Unit) - New Jack & Spike Dudley started as a team in late 97 (Individuals) - New Jack & Kronus (as The Gangstanators) started teaming in late 97 (Individuals) - Little Guido & Tracy Smothers (as The FBI) started teaming in early 97 (Unit) - Blue Meanie & Super Nova (as Blue World Order) started teaming in early 97 (Unit) - Chris Chetti & Jerry Lynn start teaming right around now for a few months (Individuals) - Justin Credible & Jason Knight started occasionally teaming in 97 (Individuals) Stables: - The Dudleys: Buh Buh Ray (Member), D-Von (Member), Big Dick (Muscle), Sign Guy (Support), Joel Gertner (Support) - New Jack, Kronus & Spike Dudley are an unnamed Alliance (All members) - Doug Furnas (Member), Brakus (Member or Muscle), Drozdov (Member or Lackey) and Lance Wright (Leader) (I don’t know if they had a name, but I they were doing a WWF invasion gimmick at the time) - Justin Credible’s entourage should be listed as a stable: Justin Credible (Leader), Jason Knight (Fodder or Support), Nicole Bass (Muscle) Personalities, Roles, etc: - Jason Knight should be set to Wrestler, Occasional Wrestler and Manager - Sign Guy Dudley should be set to Manager and Personality (I’d say he’s the latter at this point as he is mute) - Gran Naniwa should be made available to work in USA for his ECW appearances ECW’s Event Schedule for 98 was: - Jan, Sat Wk 1: House Party (Postfix Year) - Jan, Sat Wk 4: Hostile City Showdown (Postfix Year) - Feb, Sat, Wk 3: CyberSlam (Postfix Year) - March, Sun, Wk 1: Living Dangerously (Postfix Year) [PPV] - May Sun Wk 1: Wrestlepalooza (Postfix Year) [PPV] - May, Thurs Wk 2: It Ain’t Seinfeld (Goes dormant after) - May, Sat Wk 2: A Matter of Respect (Postfix Year) - Aug, Sun Wk 1: Heat Wave (Postfix Year) [PPV] - Sept, Sat Wk 3: UltraClash (Postfix Year) - Nov, Sun Wk 1: November to Remember (Postfix Year) [PPV] Following events in the database were not held in ’98: - Guilty As Charged (First held in 99) - Anarchy Rulz (First held in 99) - Barely Legal (Only held in 97) - Hardcore Heaven (Held 94-97, revives again 99-2000) - December to Dismember (Only held in 95) - Market Street Mayhem (Only held 92 when they were Eastern Championship Wrestling) - Good Times Gone Bad (Can’t find any record of this one ever existing) - Bedlam Brawl (Can’t find any record of this one ever existing) If you want any more dormant events, these appeared more than once in previous years: - Holiday Hell (Held 93-96. Revived in 2000) - Ultimate Jeopardy (Held 94, 96-97) - When Worlds Collide (Held 94 and 96) I’ll leave it there for now! I have got a few other things I might post later, including some stuff that could be left to your own discretion depending if you wanna set the company up to be prepped for long term vs short term booking. I might see if I can figure out the ongoing feuds active at the time too if you want them
  23. Definitely gonna have to check out ECW in that 98 mod later!
