    Finally got some graphics for all SNP's events completed, hopefully all feels on-brand and/or reflects the point of the event, i.e. I don't know if there's any lore out there for SNP, but I assume Festival of Violence is meant to take place during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, especially given their connections to the 'National Arts Council.' Done several variants to match the previously posted logo sets, and an additional set without a logo.     thecoolestjedi21 has been working on a year 2000 mod. He’s released a couple betas but sadly there’s been no updates since May. 2000 is definitely the year I’d like to see too, and whilst I wouldn’t want his thunder stolen it would be a shame if no finished mod for 2000 was created. Failing that a 99 mod would be great. Whatever the year, I’ll also echo previous sentiments to make the starting point at a pivotal moment in the year that sets the game up realistically for a quite a few months rather than defaulting to January

    Been working on a few alternate SNP logos. The yellow banners were intended to be paired with the blue shield logos, and they ended up inspiring the rampant lion flag logo, so there isn't a set missing 🙂 Hopefully gonna get some SNP event logos done too.     Thanks guys, I was eventually gonna evolve into just 'PROJECT STEEL' to lean more into that hardcore cult/underground feel, but I started a new save before I reached that point. Might have to revisit it sometime, even if it's just an excuse to create a new logo! The national banner set felt incomplete without the other colourways, so I whipped them up quick

    Thanks! 😁 I was just catching up on some posts and noticed couple days ago you said in willr0ck's thread about having a non-regional version of PSW. Well I forgot to add these last night from my old save when I was trying to expand to national. I couldn't think of anything better that started with P. The only alternatives I could think of was Pro Steel Wrestling which sounded too generic, or Patriot Steel Wrestling which I wasn't sure would fit the style (but could've made a cool logo now that I think of it). In the end Project Steel Wrestling sounded good to me. Dunno if you want them, but here they are anyway 🙂 PSW Custom 'National' Logos Custom 'National' Banner

    Thought I'd update my stuff and remove all the imgur links from the original post now we can directly upload images. So check that out if you're after some ECW stuff or custom UEW event logos! 😄 Also means I can finally be bothered to share my alternate and custom logos and events from my old PSW save, a trophy, and a couple WWF/WCW graphics I did on the request topic last year. So here's all that's new and been added to the original post, including Terrible Towel inspired PSW logos and the custom events from my save – some of which probably make little sense with no context(!) but here they are anyway if anyone wants to use them. If I can find the time I'll go back and make versions with the PSW logos removed in case anyone wants a generic version for a different promotion in their save.     I honestly think Cody was doing fine until Tony Kahn took complete control of the booking. The whole product changed when that happened and I think Cody lost the creative outlet that being on the booking committee gave him. The only place he could do it was his own storylines - hardly surprising given it’s exactly what TK wants from his roster — their creative is completely in their own hands. AEW completely changed from what is was pre-pandemic. I’m not surprised there were creative differences between the two. Cody clearly is more interested in traditional style booking and storytelling - whereas TK just kinda wants to showcase great matches and bring in surprises. That’s why Cody’s stuff always seemed out of place. I’d been considering doing a save — maybe even trying a diary — based on Cody keeping the book using the Before The Fall 2020 mod where there’s no pandemic. I don’t really like AEWs current direction so thought it might be interesting to see how different things could have been. But I was thinking ahead and wondering if I could see a scenario where Cody would eventually leave to start his own promotion cos their creative differences are obvious, that and TK strikes me as the kinda guy who always wanted to get his hands completely on the booking regardless. I still never imagined he’d ever actually leave for real, though. Ever. Whilst I know money is also an issue he’s gotta be feeling pretty alienated to consider going back to WWE. Good luck to him, though. It’s not a good look for AEW to be honest. On screen, him leaving will have zero impact, but the implications it has backstage and for the company’s reputation will be interesting. If Cody can leave for WWE (potentially) any one can.

    How about both members make a genuinely friendly wager to see who can capture a singles title first (was gonna say world title, but figured they may still be a secondary title level in game). And they make a pact that the first to do so promises the first shot at the title to the other. Have them regularly meet up to hype each other for matches, check out each other’s progress and generally cheer them on. Then when one finally captures a title, quash the eventual turn we’re all conditioned to expect by having two other contenders take issue that they’re handing out title shots to their friends who ‘haven’t earned it’. Possible routes after that: - The tag partner and two contenders end up in a 3-way number 1 contenders feud with the eventual tag match coming near the end of the feud - The champ proposes a tag match - if he and his old partner win he gets the shot. If they win he’ll defend against both of them in a triple threat - The two other contenders make life hell for the champ and his buddy tries his best to watch his back. Ultimately he’s unable to stop them despite his best efforts and the champ loses his title to a 5th wrestler not part of the story thanks to their interference. This then leads to the eventual grudge tag match. Could even have the other team become tag champs prior to this and have the original team get one last run at the belts before eventually going their separate ways again

    Thanks for the feedback re: cancelling a turn, guys Just encountered a new issue... I got 2 guys on loan in my save using creative control to stop me booking them in too many angles - but they have no creative control clause in their contracts, though, and I can't override it. Any idea why this is happening?

    Brian Kendrick has been fired from AEW almost as soon as he was hired after his potentially dangerous conspiracy theories/beliefs (re)surfaced. I’m not sure if he already has traits reflecting this in the mod - but he almost definitely should be considered toxic right now. He has apologised, seemingly recognised the problem and taken ownership of it. But obviously remains to be seen if he does change, and what affect on his personality traits that would have moving forward.

    So AEW continue the eons-long tease that Wardlow is gonna turn face in the MJF/Punk feud. Personally, it’s so telegraphed at this point that I’m hoping it turns out to be a red herring just to play with audience expectations. If I was to do this in game - i.e. prepare Wardlow for a turn and after a while cancel it - what would happen? I presume there’s no benefit to the story and it won’t recognise the tease was a swerve. But do the affects just cancel out or is there a penalty for not following through?

    Having a toddler and a baby pretty much limits me to playing through one mod at a time at a very very slow rate, and I'm very much stuck into a 98 ECW save for the moment... But I've really been feeling alienated by the direction AEW has taken, especially since The First Dance. The pandemic definitely played its part in that too, what with the roster bloat as it set the wheels in motion for Tony Kahn to become a haven for both indy talent and WWE releases. I enjoyed reading through the feedback and your own responses, it sounds like a lot of great work and thought has gone into this. So consider me provisionally on board! I need to scratch that early-days style AEW itch and would could have been.

    Right or wrong, Tony Kahn has been hyper sensitive to even the most valid criticism for a long time. Just ask Jags or Fulham fans. The signs have been there for a while for wrestling fans but this is the first time I think AEW fans have undeniably been able to truly see it for themselves

    100% this. I’ve made this mistake several times. The description is for when you’re choosing pre-set angles from the list. The commentary is for the segment during the show. To be honest, I always just copy the description into the commentary anyway.

    I’ve since moved on from my C-verse save, but when I was booking PSW I set up an annual charity show for the 21st December called The PSW Toy Drive Christmas Special. Show had to take place in Pittsburg and benefitted whatever local equivalent the CVerse universe has to Toys 4 Tots. Fans could get their tickets in advance by donating toys to the charity at a drop off point or by turning up at the door on the night with toys in hand. Of course I could only simulate this by lowering ticket prices to zero. I envisioned a bunch of usually rowdy, bloodthirsty yinzers lined up in the street getting in the spirit wearing Santa hats and clutching toys, waiting to get in for a chilled, fun show. Naturally it was a throwaway show to reflect the mood and so nothing impacted the regular booking. All matches set so workers kept it safe and took no risks. No one needs to be injuring themselves for charity four days before Christmas! More segments than usual, all comedy based and Christmas themed. I wish I’d considered Candy Cane on a pole match - that’s genius! I’ve actually got an event logo I created for it too which went for overly festive and traditional opposed the grittier more hardcore looking logos I used for the rest of the shows. Had I carried on with the save, I was considering doing a theme/story for each show that parodied a famous festive movie. Had an idea to spoof It’s a Wonderful Life where one of the mid card guys gets his spirit destroyed at the start of the show, but is then saved by an upper carder who helps him take on one of the top heels; eventually leading to the entire roster coming out to cheer him on to victory when all hope seems lost. The show naturally would have featured a segment with him running around the arena screaming Merry Christmas to all the wrestling related inanimate objects he can find!

    Couple questions regarding Road Agent notes: If I want a tag team to dominate/squash, can I do this? Do I set both partners to dominate? Or just one? Can only one member of the team dominate or is it dependant on their Unit/Individual classification as a team? Also, if I don’t chose to script the match or have it called in the ring, what exactly is supposed to be happening? Are the workers following a rough layout of the match? I get that it gives no bonus or penalty either way, I just don’t get what choosing neither is supposed to represent in reality. Sorry if these have been asked before, search function is pants lol

    Pretty much what the title says. Is there any chance this can be the default selection for all 8 spots when loading up any angle? I’ve had quite a few occasions now where I forget to tick script and I get doubly penalised - one for the worker cos they’re not great at improv and again because I did tick script for another worker and it throws them off their own promo. It’s got to the point where I now just tick script for all 8 spots as soon as I load up an angle, then deselect it for the workers I wanna improv after, incase I accidentally don’t tick it for someone and bomb the angle. I feel it just makes more sense that being scripted would be a default selection as there’s less penalty if you accidentally don’t chose someone to improv
