  4. <span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">Congratulations to all the winners and all the nominees. This especially goes to the Rookie class. I can remember being a Rookie back in the day and seeing that nomination. It was so important to me. I can tell you, as a veteran, it took me quite a long time to win the DOTM. So, to those who have been nominated but not won, your time will come.</span>

PromotionWars.com is a property of Promotion Wars === Hey DirigoJoe! Thanks for the predictions and comments and fun fan signs. I have enjoyed the start of your USPW diary and am looking forward to seeing what direction you take the company. You can feel free to do the gauntlet, of course. One of the things about starting in any company is that a lot of them begin in the same direction, with the same starting storylines and branch off from there. The main event may or may not have a non-finish. It might lead to the tag match at the show after the big event as this is the go-home show to Stars, Stripes And Slams. All you can do is keep "watching" and find out.
  6. Whether you scratch that diary itch or not, it's good to see you around. If you ever need to talk about things, my PM box is open. But I hope things go from surviving to thriving.
  7. Yeah, believe it or not, I'm still around. LOL. Sometimes I miss the old days with a lot of the DOTT stuff. I still look at your old Battle Lines stuff and use some of it in the here and now for ideas and all, to be honest. I do the same with Ish. It's good to see you around though and I hope things have been going well for you.
  8. Pariah vs Jillian Jarvis Comments: I think this still builds toward Stars, Stripes And Slams. Pariah wins by Rage DQ when Jarvis refuses to stop attacking her. Kirk Jameson vs Enygma Comments: This would be a high profile win for the Marksman but he just doesn't have enough pop to go over the man in the green mask. The Cold Warriors vs The Texas Express Comments: I can't have all the heels losing, can I? Cold Warriors take this one and then give it back at Stars, Stripes And Slams. Anthony Trask vs Roger Cage Comments: One of the closest matches so far. The USPW National Champion squeaks by as we see an attack by The Olympus Order. Brandon Smith vs Trent Shafer Comments: A double pinfall between the two would continue this feud. Rich Money and Steve Frehley vs Running Wolf and Nicky Champion Comments: But Money and Frehley get their heat back after the match. Comments on the Diary Overall: Looking forward to seeing what you do this with one, DirigoJoe! Always interested in another USPW diary. Oh and it's Jillefski, not Jillefsky.

  10. Looking forward to your Superbrawl card. A lot of matches on this one but I understand that. Sting vs. Stan Hansen Again, Hansen is shared with AJPW so Sting picks up the win. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. El Gigante I will never choose against The Nature Boy. I actually think El Gigante will win by DQ but I just can't pick against the man I consider the G.O.A.T. and have met in person. Lex Luger © vs. Sid Vicious A title change here, with Vicious winning by knocking Luger out with Powerbombs. Doom w/ Teddy Long © vs. The Young Pistols Young Pistols were good but they were not Doom. Larry Zbyszko vs. Bobby Eaton "Z-Man" Tom Zenk © vs. Bobby Eaton Another wrestler I've met in person. I will have a hard time picking against Beautiful Bobby. The Steiner Brothers © vs. Kevin Sullivan & Dan Spivey Thrown together match is thrown together. Either The Steiner Brothers win because they're The Steiner Brothers or they lose so they can be elevated to face Doom. "Stunning" Steve Austin w/ Madusa vs. Terry Funk Funk wins by DQ because of interference by Madusa. Austin starting the Legend Killer gimmick here. He lays out Funk with the Stun Gun. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Ricky Morton & Jeff Jarrett As you might be able to tell, I am a huge Horsemen fan so, yeah, Arn and Tully begin their build toward becoming WCW World Tag Team Champions again or maybe United States Tag Team Champions against The Steiner Brothers. Big Van Vader vs. Junkyard Dog Vader beats JYD so bad that JYD cannot continue. Dustin Rhodes vs. Dutch Mantel The young Dustin Rhodes has more potential than Mantel. While Mantel won the first match, Rhodes gets the win on pay-per-view. The Fabulous Freebirds w/ Diamond Dallas Page vs. "Flyin" Brian Pillman & Ricky Steamboat I just happen to like Pillman and Steamboat better. The York Foundation vs. The Lightning Express & Tommy Rich I am a fan of The York Foundation and Alexandra York telling the world how long the match will take. Maybe this is where Tommy Rich becomes Thomas Rich?" WCW Superbrawl should be a great one. Looking forward to reading it and seeing how my picks do.

  13. Great shows so far. Looking forward to the big ones as we move toward Superbrawl and the Clash. Glad to see Morton and Jarrett show excellent chemistry as a team but what happens when Robert Gibson returns from injury? Will he be the odd man out? Will the 6 man tag team title come back? Will they name their team the Double J Express? Make sure you tune in and find out. Stan Hansen vs. El Gigante The Lariat really belongs to AJPW. Gigante probably wins by DQ when The Nature Boy/Horsemen interfere. Ricky Morton w/Jeff Jarrett vs. Arn Anderson w/ Tully Blanchard Anderson wins here and Jarrett pulls the upset on Blanchard later on. I was a huge fan of Jarrett before the Double J stuff when he was in the USWA. Ron Simmons w/ Butch Reed & Teddy Long vs. Steve Armstrong w/ Tracy Smothers* Like in the previous match, Doom gets some momentum here with The All-American beating Armstrong after Smothers beat Reed. That evens things up as we head toward the tag team title match.

  15. It's time for another WCW Saturday Night! The show is looking pretty good with three top caliber matches that each could fill a main event time slot. Ric Flair vs. Rick Steiner In singles action, I'll take the G.O.A.T. every day and twice on Sunday. Flair is my favorite wrestler of all-time and you will never(well, rarely) see me vote against him. WCW World Television Championship "Z-Man" Tom Zenk © vs. Larry Zbyszko I was a fan of the Z-Man as a child. He beat Eaton(another one of my favorites). Let's see where this run goes. Brian Pillman vs. Jimmy Garvin Flyin' Brian, God rest his soul, could have been a megastar.
  16. NEWS: USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING PREVIEW! We are about a week and a half away from the biggest show to start off the new year in Stars, Stripes And Slams! The matches for that show are getting settled and this week we have a grudge match in our main event. It is a non-title bout as Grandmaster Phunk, coming off a win last week, takes on USPW World Champion Rich Money. After Phunk's win last week, Money and Charlie Thatcher attacked him in what was seemingly a random assault. Phunk is looking for some payback on this night. Can he defeat the USPW World Champion in a non-title match? The man known as The Bronzed God Zeus came out and confronted the USPW National Champion Roger Cage last week. Two weeks ago, Zeus had challenged Cage to put the title on the line. Last week, Cage agreed to the match and the two men brawled before Cage sent Zeus out of the ring and into the hands of his stablemates, Bad Intentions. This week, Zeus will be stepping into the ring in a match with three year veteran Leaf LeBaum. LeBaum is a high flyer from Arizona that signed witht he company last year. A win against the number one contender to the National title could do wonders for his career. The women's division will be showcased on this evening as 35 year old, 16 year veteran Sara Marie takes on 29 year old, ten year veteran 'Fearless' Faith McGee. The match will be a down-to-earth veteran wrestler taking on a naturally agile high flyer. In recent interviews, Sara Marie has had some good things to say about McGee. Of course, she may not have known that she would be taking on McGee in the first hour main event on American Wrestling. Both of these women want to work their way up for a title shot against Jaime Quine but which will pull off the victory? We will also see matches such as Running Wolf continuing to run The Business Gauntlet as he takes on Sterling Whitlock, 'The Marksman' Kirk Jameson taking on Bulldozer Brandon Smith and a tag team flag match where The Cold Warriors aim to raise the communist flag against the American flag of The Texas Express. Plus there will be more! Remember, the live aspect of USPW American Wrestling means that anything can happen. Make sure you BE THERE and, as always, Keep Pounding! 17. <p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">Great first show, ink625. Good to see Tully Blanchard back with the Horsemen. However, I disagree with you about Barry Windham being an odd fit for them. I assume this turns Windham into a face?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> With Parker headed to AJPW, will you be keeping Dale Veasey aka Lt. He doesn't seem to have much of a fit with the company outside of the State Patrol.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> Sorry that you missed out on 'Sweet' Stan Lane. He steps inside and has a microphone in hand. He tells the people here in the arena that they need to shut their mouths so they can hear what he has to say. He says that we are coming very close to the final time that Nicky Champion steps inside a USPW show and goes one on one with The Dark Destroyer. This time, the two of them will step inside the unforgiving steel cage. Frehley reminds everyone that there will be blood in this match. It will be the ending to a great feud and a stepping stone to The Dark Destroyer once again becoming the USPW World Champion. Frehley says that Nicky Champion is a manufactured champion and that will come to light at Stars, Stripes And Slams. He adds in that on that night, Nicky Champion will know his role in this company and that's not at the top. His role is below The Dark Destroyer. He warns the parents in the audience that this match will not be for the faint of heart. He opens his mouth to continue when the lights flicker and a clock appears on the USPWtron screen. He says for them to take a look around here. He says that money bought this place but that he earned the USPW World title by being the best wrestler in the company. That is why it annoys him when he has to deal with peasants and poor people who are beneath him. The lights in the pool area start to flicker amd then the sound of a Native American war cry fills the area. Money looks a little worried and tells his butler to go and find out what's going on. Money stands up, holding the title belt and showing that he is wearing a swim suit. An arrow comes flying out of nowhere and lands on the ground at the feet of the USPW World Champion. Attached to the arrow is a note. Money picks up the note and the camera catches what it says: 'Coming for you. -RW' Money crumples up the note and tosses it into the pool before storming off inside the house. Bryden welcomes everyone to the Fish Shop and she says that because of all the fans that tuned in last week she gets to present a second edition of The Fish Shop right here on the Reverie network. She announces that her special guests tonight are none other than the USPW World Tag Team Champions: Jacob Jett and Julius Moor, along with their manager Persephone. These are the group known as Flight & Might. The champs and their manager approach the set with a large bag being dragged behind Moor. They move to stand on either side of Bryden and she says that they should just get the elephant out of the room and find out what's in that bag. Jett says that, inside the bag, are a list of tag teams that answered their challenge last week. He says they need to go through some of the names and make a decision on who challenges them at Stars, Stripes And Slams. Jett motions to Moor and Moor pulls out the first tag team name. That first name is Shockwave. Persephone speaks up that this wouldn't be a bad match except they already beat Shockwave for the title and they beat them last week. Moor tosses the first name out and picks out another one. This time, it's Samoan Destruction Inc. Jett talks about that being a tag team up in Pittsburgh. The two men who should be at the head of the line are these two men right here as both are former USPW World Tag Team Champions and they are in the greatest stable in professional wrestling history. Jett tells her that somebody needs to clean that stable because it's filled with. He's stopped by Moor before he can say something and he's reminded that this is a family show. Jett shrugs and says he was going to say that it's filled with wrestlers who are past their prime. Moor agrees and Cartier speaks up again, saying that if that's true then they won't mind The Business accepting their open challenge for Stars, Stripes And Slams. Moor answers for them, stating that they will need to fear the American flag on this night. Julius Moor gets right up in the face of Charlie Thatcher, Jacob Jett gets face-to-face with Dusty Ducont and even Persephone lines up with Elizabeth Cartier. The USPW World Champion yanks Phunk up by the hair and catches him with a stiff European uppercut, the move known as Money Shaker sending Phunk right back down to the mat. Thatcher bounces off the ropes and hits Phunk with the Crusher Legdrop. Phunk is left lying on the mat as Rich Money's music hits. He says that Communism will never be brought to this country. Turk Trenneman speaks up and issues a challenge to The Cold Warriors, not for Stars, Stripes And Slams, but for next week on AMERICAN Wrestling. Trenneman says that he is issuing this challenge for a slight variation on the flag match. He says they will have a normal tag team bout but the losing team must raise and salute the winning team's flag. That flag will stay up for the duration of the show. Trask looks up in the camera and says that, while he arrived in USPW 2 years ago, he has not had the success that he should have. That is because he would rather inflict pain upon the wrestlers and wake them up from their own destruction than win matches. He says that he is certainly not a winner in the sense of men like Nicky Champion or Rick Law. But he is a winner in awakening souls and showing them the truth of this world. Would you rather take the blue pill and remain an unknowing participant in your own demise? Or would you rather take the red pill and wake up from the light to see the darkness that lies within? There is one man who is brave enough to take the red pill and join my cause. He will be revealed next week on American Wrestling. Inside the ring, Champion gets to his feet and gets his arm raised by referee Robbie Sanchez. He begins celebrating his victory but doesn't quite get the response that he usually gets. Why? That is because 'The Dark Destroyer' </em><em><strong>Steve Frehley</strong></em><em> has come into the ring through the crowd. A fan holds up a sign in the background: 'I can see Frehley now, The Rayne is Gone!' Steve Frehley stands in a corner behind Champion, waiting for Champion to turn around. Champion slowly does turn around and is nearly taken out of his boots with a Dark Destroyer Spear. Frehley gets up first and picks up Champion, wrapping him around the waist -- Launch Pad Suplex! The overhead belly-to-belly suplex sends Champion flying across the ring. Frehley exits the ring and pulls a table out from underneath the ring. He slides the table back inside the ring before joining Champion inside once again. He throws three straight stomps to the head of Champion and then picks him up -- Frehley's Comet! The crowd boos very loudly and a 'Frehley Sucks' chant begins loudly in this audience. Frehley yells at the fans, threatening them. He picks up the table and sets it in the corner before laying Champion against the table. The only thing moving on Champion is his chest as he is still able to breathe. Frehley walks to the opposite corner and then charges -- Dark Destroyer Spear through the table! Champion is completely down and out! Frehley slowly stands to his feet as his music begins to play. The announcers go crazy, calling Frehley a maniac. They wonder about the condition of Nicky Champion after going through a table. Frehley celebrates in the ring as the show comes to a close. 21. I do love this time of year in both WCW and WWF. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it, especially with the restrictions you put on yourself. It would be so difficult for me to live up to them. WCW United States Heavyweight Championship Lex Luger © vs. Barry Windham The Total Package just beat Stan Hansen at Starrcade. His momentum continues WCW World Tag Team Championship Doom w/ Teddy Long © vs. Ricky Morton & A Mystery Partner I assume that Morton's partner will be Wildfire Tommy Rich as he was in real life. Either way, I see Morton and Partner winning by disqualification. WCW World Television Championship Tom Zenk © vs. Bobby Eaton I go back and forth on this one. So when that happens, why not pick a time limit draw? Of course, that's a staple ending for Television title matches. It might lead to a future rematch. Dustin Rhodes vs. Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker The Natural is just getting started here. He begins with a win against the State Patrol member. Terry Funk vs. Dutch Mantel Two veterans of the ring. Funk is way more valuable than Mantel at the moment.
  22. NEWS: USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING PREVIEW! Welcome to the most must-see television program in the history of television. Welcome to USPW American Wrestling. Last week was the very first show of the decade and it ended with a bang and USPW World Champion Rich Money defeating USPW National Champion Roger Cage. This week's main event should, also, be a great one as former six time USPW World Champion Nicky Champion steps in the ring with former six time USPW World Tag Team Champion D.C. Rayne. Can Rayne make a transition from tag team wrestling to singles wrestling when facing one of the most popular wrestlers in the world today? Make sure you tune in and find out when these two popular wrestlers meet. Speaking of the Natural Storm team, the other member, Eddie Howard will also be in action. He will step in the ring with one time USPW World Champion The Dark Destroyer Steve Frehley. The Natural is a former six time USPW World Tag Team Champion but he does have the strength and power to match up with Frehley? Howard had better avoid the Frehley's Comet if he wants to survive in this match. After getting good ratings last week, Belle Bryden will be bringing The Fish Shop back to Amercian Wrestling this week. Her special guests will be none other than USPW World Tag Team Champions Flight & Might. Last week, those two men issued an open challenge for their tag team titles at Stars, Stripes And Slams. They have told us that they have gathered up a lot of offers for that match. On this show, they are going to go through those offers on this show to determine just who deserves a title match. At the beginning of the show last week, Running Wolf was challenged to run through the Business Gauntlet. If he could defeat four members of The Business in a row, then he would earn a USPW World title shot at Stars, Stripes And Slams against Rich Money. Last week, he defeated Dusty Ducont. This week, he continues the gauntlet by taking on the veteran Rajah. Rajah will be looking to help secure his place in The Business by picking up this win. On the other hand, Running Wolf is looking for a USPW World title match. Make sure you tune in and see this heavyweight bout. In the first hour of USPW American Wrestling, we will see a first hour women's tag team main event. The USPW Women's Champion Jaime Quine will have her first match in 2020 as she teams up with the veteran and former USPW Women's Champion Raven Robinson. Those two women will step in the ring with two women who have been working together as of late against The Triumverate. Those two women are Melody and Sara Marie. Quine will be looking to solidify her reign as USPW Women's Champion with a victory, while all three other women will be looking to make their mark as challengers to that Women's title. We will also see matches such as Funky Fedora taking on what seems to be his predecessor in Grandmaster Phunk and 'The Complete Package' Joss Thompson stepping in the ring with the man who makes sure that everyone obeys the rules Rick Law. Plus there will be more! Remember, the live aspect of USPW American Wrestling means that anything can happen. Make sure you BE THERE and, as always, Keep Pounding! Though, I've never been at DOTY winning status so who knows what the future will hold. Thanks for the opportunity to vent and lean on. As I told Historian, I may just take you up on that and I appreciate the offer.

I appreciate your words about the anniversary. It was tough though I did a lot of 'fake it till you make it' yesterday. The days ahead right now continue to be tough so I might take you up on the offer. Then again I might just want to crawl into a hole and be alone. Depression is a wonderful thing. LOL.
  24. Hey Kijar! Great to see you here. I can tell you that Jumbo is usually used either as a jobber or not used at all in a lot of games. It seems that he was thrown together in this tag team. Though they seem like they might be able to do some damage if booked correctly. Of course that's meaning in a Paul Heyman style where he gets the best of all of his athletes. Your words do flatter me. I won't lie. Today, August 3, is definitely a tough day for me. It is the one year anniversary of my sister passing away from breast cancer. If there are any females reading this, please make sure you get checked when the time comes. The next life you save could be your own. 25. It's great to see you here, KYE. You've been one of my best long-time readers. I know it's been a week since I started this diary without an actual show to show for it. Right now, I think I may have started this diary too soon just to get it started on my birthday. My writing muse has locked himself in another room and isn't letting me get at him to work on the shows. I am hoping to get re-started on the shows soon and I apologize to the readers.
