  1. Just wanted to update anyone interested; I got diagnosed with carpal tunnel so I've severely cut back on my computer time while I recover. I do plan on continuing this, it's just fallen down my list of priorities until my doctor reevaluates me in about a month. I hope to post the next show in a few weeks, thanks for your patience!
  2. ~~~ CZCW Presents: Welcome to the Coastal Zone 2020 ~~~ Frankie Perez vs Frantic Ali Last Man Standing match for the Coastal Zone Championship The 'Buzzsaw' Frankie Perez has cut through his competition and remained champion for one full year, tying the record set by his former partner Mikey James. Frantic Ali has risen to a title shot with some dominating performances, earning his title shot with his smash-mouth style. One trained in the dojo, the other trained in the school of hard knocks. What happens when two born-fighters at the top of their game collide? ~~~ Pablo Rodriguez vs Aldous Blackfriar Cage match for the COTT World Heavyweight title The mysterious Blackfriar arrived in CZCW several months ago and made an immediate impact with his mind games, leading to this match where the winner takes all. Not only is the title on the line, but if Rodriguez wins Blackfriar must leave CZCW, and if Blackfriar wins Rodriguez must retire. ~~~ Notorious vs The Uprising vs Gangster Nation vs Lilly & Rose Hardcore match for the Coastal Zone Tag Team titles Two bitter tag team rivals have joined together recently in 'defense' of the Coastal Zone saying they will protect their turf with everything they have against newcomers, including The Uprising and Lilly & Rose who both look to become the first women to hold Coastal Zone gold. ~~~ Marvel Malloy / Storm Spillane / Kid Fantastic vs Remmy Skye / Frankie-Boy Fernandes / California Love Machine Remmy Skye and Going Coastal have proven to be an effective team and look to be favorites in the upcoming Trios Tournament, that is if they can get through Kid Fantastic and the American Cobras in the next chapter of the Coastal Zone's longest running rivalry. ~~~ Deadly Deadshot vs Pinky Perez Mask vs Mask The Coastal Zone Xtreme champion has been adding to insult to injury by attempting to unmask his defeated opponents leading to Pinky Perez stepping up to end Deadshot's reign of terror in this non-title match. ~~~ Hugh de Aske / Hustle Muvva / Lug Phelan vs Josh Jacobs / Tyrone Gray / Nate DeMarcus vs Jonnie Perez / Teresa Perez / Shooting Star Perez 3 vs 3 vs 3 to determine Trios Tournament seeding The jockeying for higher seeds in the Trios Tournament continues in this match pitting the Coastal Zone's own Perez Family against teams from IPW and MAW. While La Familia has home field advantage, Team IPW has a size advantage and Team MAW has the legendary Sam Keith in their corner. ~~~ American Flash / ??? vs Matt Sparrow / 'American Flash' After ten years and two title reigns, Flash Sparrow imploded when Sparrow joined Aldous Blackfriar's efforts and betrayed American Flash. Months later, Sparrow has finally accepted Flash's challenge to settle things in the ring with this tag match where 'Flash Sparrow' takes on American Flash and a mystery partner. ~~~ This Friday, Week 2, May 2020 in San Francisco, CA Available on WrestleWorld On-Demand ~~~ Frankie Perez vs Frantic Ali Pablo Rodriguez vs Aldous Blackfriar Notorious vs The Uprising vs Gangster Nation vs Lilly & Rose Marvel Malloy / Storm Spillane / Kid Fantastic vs Remmy Skye / Frankie-Boy Fernandes / California Love Machine Deadly Deadshot vs Pinky Perez Team IPW vs Team MAW vs La Familia American Flash / ??? vs Matt Sparrow / 'American Flash'
  3. ~~~ CZCW Presents: Fighting Spirit IV Friday, Week 3, April 2020 ~~~ As the show begins the American Cobras' music hits and Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane come out to the stage accompanied by a bored-looking Britney Hollywood doing something on her phone. As they pose on the stage, Kid Fantastic comes out and fetches ("Get over there! And bring that mic!") the Guru from the announcer's table and tries to rush him over to where the Cobras are waiting. Malloy grabs the Guru's hand and forces him to raise the mic to Malloy's mouth. "Thanks for having us, The Guru. There's a few things we'd like to get off our chests before we main event tonight. First, let us assure the world that the American Cobras are a solid as ever, and after tonight we'll be even more solid. Second, I'd like to address our so-called 'losing streak!' Everyone saw Rodriguez cheat to beat us! And then that fluke win by the LA Stars in New York, two matches is not a streak!" "Don't forget you lost Reach 4 the Gold." Spillane chimes in. "That match you didn't even win your qualifier for?" Malloy retorts. "Thanks for reminding me. Ok, so maybe we hit a little rough patch in the ring, but we are living large everywhere it counts!" Spillane reaches out to pull the Guru's hand holding the mic up to his mouth. "Third, what my partner meant to say ("Don't tell me what I meant!") is the in-ring stuff definitely counts and we're ready to get back to winning in the ring just as much as we win at life after we settle this little disagreement. I look so good in gold it should be a crime not to just hand me a title belt!" "Fourth!" Britney Hollywood walks over and grabs the Guru's hand. "I am over this! Who cares who gets called 'captain?' We can call you both 'captain' if it gets us past this. Let's call everyone on the team 'captain!' ("Captain... Fantastic?!" Kid Fantastic says loudly in the background.) While there's been a bump in our engagement ever since you two started bickering, our overall numbers are dropping because you haven't been keeping up with producing content together. Besides, we all know who's really in charge." Hollywood turns on her heel and leaves the stage, moments later the Cobras follow. The Guru and Kid Fantastic are left looking at each other for a moment until Kid Fantastic yells out "Fifth! You heard the lady! Captain Fantastic!" and proudly struts after his teammates. 51 ~~~ vs Carlos Barrera / Miguel Rivera / Bullseye / Waylon Walls vs Talia Quinzel / Selina Svelte / Kate Lilly / Debbie Rose 4 vs 4 Total Elimination: Winners pick the Coastal Zone Tag Team title match stipulations The Uprising's music hits and Talia Quinzel and Selina Svelte look laser-focused as they head to the ring, both stopping at the end of the ramp to wait for Kate Lilly and Debbie Rose to make their entrance. The announcers talk about the various accomplishments of both teams, noting that they faced each other many times in AAA before that promotion's closure but seem to have found a common cause in CZCW. Lilly, Rose, Quinzel, and Svelte all touch their fists together in unison before entering the ring and each taking a corner to pose on the middle rope. Notorious Nation has new music but Fro Sure is still the hypeman for the crew, coming out first with a mic and his energetic style. In the ring, the women all line up to meet the bullrush, but their opponents come out of the crowd to enter the ring from behind. Someone on the women's team spots them, however, and the brawl is on! The ref starts the match and tries to exert his authority to gain control of the situation but sees little success until the various fights start spilling out of the ring until just one competitor from each team is left in the ring. Bullseye creates some space to work his aerial style on Debbie Rose, leading to Rose on the mat and Bullseye headed to the top rope. Lilly slides in out of nowhere to save her partner before Bullseye can leap, so he shrugs and leaps outside the ring taking out The Uprising and Notorious both. Lilly helps Rose recover while the big man, Waylon Walls, slides into the ring. Remembering the last time he encountered Lilly & Rose, Walls looks like he has violence on his mind, but Lilly & Rose immediately drop kick his legs out from under him as he runs in for a double lariat. Lilly & Rose continue double-teaming him until the ref threatens to disqualify somebody, and Rose agrees to go to her corner. The other competitors gradually filter to their corners as they recover on the outside, and we have an actual match as tags start being deployed. As the match goes on, Notorious Nation uses every trick they have to eliminate Selina Svelte. The next elimination occurs when Debbie Rose distracts the ref long enough for Kate Lilly to use a low blow against Carlos Barrera and get the pin. Miguel 'Bullet' Rivera, not the most emotionally stable person, blows up and rushes Lilly with wild brawling. All Lilly can do is cover up until she manages to tag in her team's heavy hitter, Talia Quinzel, who goes strike-for-strike with Rivera and manages to goad him into coming in for her big spine buster Spinal Trauma for the pin. Before she can even stand up, Bullseye is on her, using his speed advantage in a surprise attack. Even without Barrera directing traffic, Gangster Nation has their own groove they lay down for the match, isolating Quinzel with Bullseye's reckless aerial assault complemented by Walls' power. Lilly & Rose soon make their presence felt as the ref is distracted by Lilly while Rose uses the low blow against Bullseye, leading to Quinzel picking him up and driving his spine on the pine with a Spinal Trauma and the pin. Once again, she's blindsided! This time, Walls comes in with a big boot to Quinzel's head, and immediately picks her up for a Jumping Double Arm DDT and the pin. Neither Lilly or Rose seem worried about having to face Walls, instead they take their time to wear him down with their quick tags and dual offense, eventually hitting The Thorn for the pin. Winners: Talia Quinzel / Selina Svelte / Kate Lilly / Debbie Rose 61 ~~~ Quinzel grabs a mic after all four women get their hands raised by the ref and addresses Notorious Nation. "We're not just going to break through the glass ceiling in CZCW, we're going to shatter it forever! We want a Hardcore match!" Lilly & Rose look shocked as they trade a few words. Kate Lilly soon asks Quinzel for the mic and says, "A Hardcore match? Debbie and I just gave you the opportunity to gain an advantage but it sounds like we should have just let Notorious Nation win! We agreed on Lilly & Rose being your first challengers after you win the belts, but now we're not so sure you've got what it takes to win in the first place! We think the honor of being the first women to hold Coastal Zone gold should go to us!" Quinzel doesn't seem surprised in her response, "There it is, earlier than I expected but I'm glad it's out. We've known each other for a long time Kate, you and Debbie have always been about looking for an angle to get ahead. And you know what? It's ok. The deck can be so stacked against us sometimes that going outside the lines is the only way to get what we deserve. How about this? We make it a three-way match for the titles, and as long as either The Uprising or Lilly & Rose win then all four of us get a piece of what we want. Don't think we'll just roll over for you, either. Those belts are ours no matter what you decide!" As Lilly & Rose talk to each other, Carlos Barrera has a mic and says, "You must be Coastal Zone Tag Team champions the way you're handing out title shots! No? Notorious are still the champs? Good, then I'm going to tell you how things are going to be. Tonight you earned naming the stipulation, and it's not lost on us that you want to beat us at our own game, but you didn't earn the right to include more outsiders in our match. You think we're just going to walk into an ambush? There's not going to be a three-way match for our titles... because Gangster Nation will be there to make it a four-way!" 42 ~~~ vs Heartbreaker / Swipe Romero / Zel Quinn vs Paradox / Paradigm / Paranoia As the Paratroopers make their entrance, the announcers point out that their last match together was over 10 years ago, and that after that match none of them were heard from again until 'Yesterday's Man From Tomorrow' Paradox arrived several months ago. Quinn rolls to a different direction but Paradox seems to know where he's going to be, leaving Quinn unable to create the space he needs. ~Hey! Can you hear me? It's happening again~ He shakes his head several times, and starts speaking, just a line of words and phrases. The match begins with Paradigm trying to give Romero a pep talk, which distracts the young wrestler long enough for Paradigm to attack and gain the advantage. ~I know it can get bad but you aren't alone anymore~ The other Paratroopers seem to have been waiting on this, as they both yell out "It's time!" and Paradox finally gets tagged in. The "Magic Monkey' flips up to the top rope and walks it to the other turnbuckle where he leaps off onto both Paradigm and Paranoia. ~Remember the breathing thing Paradigm taught you~ Heartbreaker looks deep in thought as he calls Quinn over to tag him in. Romero approaches and, encouraged by Heartbreaker, he attacks Paradox but finds no success. ~Remember that Paranoia is always watching~ The lucha veteran Heartbreaker makes his entrance carrying his single rose, accompanied by the hyperactive Zel Quinn and a sneering Swipe Romero, soon finding a woman at ringside that he hands the rose to. ~The toughest part is coming up, keep breathing~ His mind apparently made up, Heartbreaker attacks but Paradox immediately counters with a brutal sounding enzuigiri leading to the pin. While the match is ongoing, Paradox is standing on the apron watching when he suddenly grabs his head with both hands and looks to be in pain! ~pain! pain!~ Paradigm and Paranoia show some good double team moves as they isolate Romero, but eventually he manages to tag in Quinn. He seems to be having a conversation with someone, which confuses his opponent for several moments. ~I'd tell you you'll get used to it but you already know better~ Quinn's speed and unorthodox offense gives his team some momentum, and they start exchanging tags. Romero's sneer turns into a scowl as Paradox somehow easily dodges whatever he throws at him, all while having some sort of animated conversation. ~Just relax and breathe, it's almost over~ This makes Quinn more hyper, and Romero to somehow sneer even harder. Heartbreaker has Romero tag in Quinn, and the 'Magic Monkey' is loose once again, picking up speed until suddenly Paradox is in his way. Paradox is still talking to himself as Heartbreaker approaches, carefully studying his opponent and deciding on a course of action. ~Everything's going to be ok~ With Paradigm in front of him gesturing to the crowd, Paranoia with his hands in his pockets behind him, and in contrast to his last appearance, Paradox seems serene as he makes his way down the ramp. Winners: Paradox / Paradigm / Paranoia 47 ~~~ The Guru stands backstage between Masked Cougar and Al Coleman, thanking them both for agreeing to an interview without their respective backup in attendance. Al Coleman interrupts to say he doesn't need 'backup' to deal with The Pride, leading to Cougar getting in his face. No one takes a swing, however, and the Guru tentatively continues the interview. He asks Masked Cougar, "You have a Trios Tournament coming up where you have to defend the Trios belts in every match you're in, why accept Shoot Club's challenge now?" Cougar responds, "Why? Why not! Do you think we're not capable of beating some trainees and their overbearing coach? I've heard the critics say that I've been splitting my attention too much by trying to have it all, but I have always been focused on cementing my legacy. If anyone has any doubts about that let them step into the ring with me and find out!" Cougar leaves, so the Guru transitions to Coleman. "How do you see your match going tonight?" Coleman chuckles. "Aw, you didn't even get to ask about the Silver Tiger thing! You know, personal differences aside, we know not to take the kitty cat crew lightly. They're champions for a reason, but Shoot Club has been studying those 'reasons' and have a gameplan for dealing with them." "And that gameplan is..." Coleman studies the Guru for a moment. "You used to wrestle, right? The only way to know Shoot Club gameplans is to be Shoot Club, and I just happen to have 5-minutes free right now if you think you can impress me..." The Guru hastily thanks Coleman for his time and departs the area, leaving Coleman smiling coldly after him. 54 ~~~ vs Deadly Deadshot vs LA Star #1 Coastal Zone Xtreme: No DQs The LA Stars come out together carrying their newly won COTT World Tag Team titles and posing with them in the ring. As Star #1 takes to his corner, Deadly Deadshot makes his entrance by running down the ramp and blindsiding Star #2 in the head with the Coastal Zone Xtreme belt! Star #1 goes after Deadshot, but the ref intervenes allowing Deadshot time to get in the ring and starts the match before letting Star #1 go. The two competitors slam together and seem evenly matched with their aerial skills, but Star #1 soon deploys some mat wrestling and is able to keep Deadshot on the ground. The champ flounders a bit while Star #1 has his way until Deadshot uses an eye rake to interrupt the momentum, and then builds up momentum of his own with aerial offense. With Star #1 looking in trouble, Deadshot points his finger gun at the youngster and hits the Dead Drop for the pin. Right after the three Deadshot flips Star #1 over and starts untying the mask, but Star #1 struggles giving Pinky Perez time to hit the ring, causing Deadshot to flee with his title. Winner: Deadly Deadshot 58 ~~~ The Guru is standing backstage with Harry Allen, introducing him as a pioneer of the cruiserweight style: "I don't know about all that, I just know that there's a lot of competition here in the Coastal Zone and I feel like I have at least one good Flying Fist Drop left in me, and that's usually all it takes to get my hand raised..." "Avast! And ahoy and whatnot..." Hugh de Aske swaggers up to the Guru with IPW stars Hustle Muvva and Lug Phelan trailing behind. "Are ye the salt to talk to about the Treasure of the Trios Isles?" The Guru apologizes to Allen then asks de Aske "Do you mean the Trios belts? Or the Tournament Cup? Either way, it's not up to me." "I see... A 'Cup' you say? How big? Be it filled with other, smaller treasures?" The Guru shrugs. "The Governor has given us our letter of marque, we are to sail the Coastal Zone under the flag of IPW, plundering the enemies of the crown! Aye, scurvy dogs! Curl your tails and bay for your masters for the 'Scourge of The Coastal Zone' and his loyal crew sail again!" de Aske swaggers off somewhere, saying "Nice hat!" to Allen on his way out. Hustle Muvva shakes his head and follows with Lug Phelan shrugging then bringing up the rear. 45 ~~~ vs Harry Allen vs Aldous Blackfriar A high-energy country tune plays and Harry Allen comes out to the stage, raising his fist high above his head. As he walks down the ramp he tips his hat to each side of the venue and settles in to wait for his opponent. A choir starts singing in Latin but soon EDM music kicks in and Aldous Blackfriar makes his entrance accompanied by Matt Sparrow and 'American Flash.' Blackfriar enters the ring and takes the center, raising his arms at his sides and tilting his head back while Sparrow and 'Flash' kneel on either side of him with their heads bowed. The ref starts the match and Allen and Blackfriar circle each other, Allen testing for openings while Blackfriar smiles at him and avoids his attempts. Suddenly, Allen starts kicking it into a higher gear, using his tried-and-true aerial style to keep Blackfriar off balance. Eventually, Allen is able to down Blackfriar with a cross-body off the ropes, and he raises his fist high above his head indicating he's going for his finisher. As he leaps, Blackfriar moves and Allen's fist meets the mat. Blackfriar immediately starts working on Allen's hand, trying to remove it as a weapon in his arsenal by slamming it into the ring post, stomping, or wrenching his fingers apart. Still, Allen doesn't give up and manages to stay in the fight long enough to create some space and work some more offense. Allen gets shut down quickly as Sparrow distracts the ref so 'Flash' can hit a High Velocity Senton. Blackfriar receives no further trouble from Allen as he shortly puts him away with a Batwing. Winner: Aldous Blackfriar 57 ~~~ After the match, Sparrow and 'Flash' slide under the ropes and kneel on opposite sides of Blackfriar in the middle of the ring with their heads bowed. Suddenly the lights dim and the words 'THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF PABLO RODRIGUEZ' appear on the screen for several seconds, followed by a shot of Rodriguez himself half in shadow. "I, Pablo Rodriguez, and while I'm not sure if my mind is sound any more, find enough strength through my faith to commit this last will and testament to video to be publicly played in the event of Aldous Blackfriar showing his face again. First though, my confession. I confess that I haven't always walked a righteous path. I confess that I have done things I should regret... but I don't. I confess to my hubris, of thinking that I could face the corruption and remain unchanged. Lastly, I confess I looked into the mirror recently and realized that no matter how hard I fought I would never truly be redeemed unless I was willing to lose it all... I will my earthly possessions to be divided equally among my surviving relatives. To American Flash, I will whatever prayers I have left for you to find your peace after all this. And to you, Aldous, I will one thing, but you have to come take it in person. What is it? My title? My servitude? My career? If it's my soul, you might have to get in line... but you must face me to get whatever it is that you want. Lastly, my final testament; I testify to all that is good in this world that I will stop Blackfriar if it takes everything I have. Keep the faith!" The venue lights come back up as the screen above the stage goes dark and Blackfriar still stands in the center of the ring with Sparrow and 'Flash' on either side. His smile is huge and his eyes are wild as he lifts the mic to speak. "Are you testing me, Pablo? 'The Martyr Sheds Light To Grow The Tendrils Of Despair - So Rings Out The Harmony Of Dusk!' Am I wrong about you? This isn't an exact science so I could never be sure before I started. Severe adjustments will have to be made... Yes, though! Absolutely keep the faith so the fall is that much sweeter! What is it I want from you Pablo? You might not have it after all, so I'll take everything just in case! If I lose, I will leave CZCW forever but I'll have been right about you all along. If I win, then I get your title and your career, and I keep searching." Blackfriar stops smiling. "It's time to see who truly hears the Harmony!" 60 ~~~ vs Masked Cougar / El Jaguar / Silver Tiger vs Al Coleman / Connor Threepwood / Ellie de Grazia Coastal Zone Trios title match Shoot Club looks like a small army as they all wear the same uniform and move in unison down the ramp to the ring, Eureka LaBelle bringing up the rear with his ice chest and towels. One by one, Shoot Club removes their hooded robes, dumps them on a waiting LaBelle, and enters the ring. The Pride are out next, all wearing their Coastal Zone Trios belts, with Silver Tiger also carrying his COTT Trios title. Masked Cougar's face has a dark look as Tiger raises his COTT belt, and he starts down the ramp before Tiger is finished posing, causing both Jaguar and Tiger to rush to catch up. The match starts, and it's clear Cougar is giving Tiger the cold shoulder as he only tags Jaguar. The dissention in The Pride would be clear to anyone, but Coach Coleman is the type to not only notice but take advantage when he pushes Tiger into Cougar at an opportune moment, nearly leading to an implosion in the champs' corner. Still, Shoot Club is not without their issues as Coleman mostly coaches from his corner, letting Threepwood and de Grazia do most of the work. While talented, de Grazia is still young and not anywhere near her peak leading to The Pride isolating her. Coleman's face is unreadable as he watches de Grazia bear the brunt of The Pride's offense, finally he demands she tag out but The Pride have her occupied with their quick tags. The finish comes when Jaguar faces off against de Grazia and gets caught around the waist by her as she heaves him over her head, but she doesn't notice that he lands on his feet until he moves behind her and hoists her up into the Jaguar Suplex for the pin, Coleman noticeably putting his hand out to stop Threepwood from breaking up the count. The match also seems to have left Masked Cougar still in a bad mood as he pulls his hand away when the ref tries to raise it. Winners: The Pride 61 ~~~ A video package rolls to hype the biggest main event of the year: Frankie Perez vs Frantic Ali in a Last Man Standing match for the Coastal Zone Championship at Welcome to the Coastal Zone. Both wrestlers speak, showing no animosity towards each other, just the will to win and be on the top of the mountain. Perez is particularly interested in breaking his former partner's record as Coastal Zone Champion by becoming the first person to hold the title for over a year. Ali talks about his humble beginnings, and about finding his purpose in life by fighting to earn everything he has. 65 ~~~ vs Marvel Malloy vs Storm Spillane At stake: A spot as Captain of their Trios team The American Cobras enter the stage together, Britney Hollywood conspicuous by her absence, and walk down the ramp in unison to pose in the ring. They shake each other's hands when the match starts, and start a feeling out process, gradually building up speed as offense gets countered and then counter-countered. While Spillane and Malloy are nominally specialists in ground-based and aerial offense respectively, their years of teaming and training together have created well-rounded competitors in both of the Cobras. As they are incredibly well-matched, neither one gets an advantage for long, perhaps leading to the frustration both start showing in being unable to win. Malloy starts leaning into his striking and technical skills and Spillane noticeably starts growing more reckless, deploying his rarely seen flashy side in order to unbalance Malloy, but this proves to be a mistake as Malloy starts feeling his need to be the most talked about person on the show and responding with his own flashy skillset. With momentum finally on his side, the pin soon comes after a Marvel Breaker. Malloy holds his hand out to Spillane, helping him up, but Spillane doesn't let go. Instead he squeezes Malloy's hand and pulls him in until they're nearly nose-to-nose, saying something that goes unheard by anyone but Malloy. They forcefully drop each other's hands and Spillane stalks away to the back while Malloy watches him, looking concerned. 7. Friday, Week 3, April 2020: It's been an eventful 2020 for the Confederation of the Territories with several promotions in North America becoming new members, plus the creation of a new Trios title, and April has been the biggest month and it's not even over yet! Week 1: COTT World Heavyweight champion Pablo Rodriguez faced Fallen Angel for the title at CILL Sobrehumano on Friday, and then teamed with American Flash to beat then-COTT World Tag Team champions The American Cobras the next night at CZCW Spring Break Bash '20 in a controversial match. Saturday, Week 2: Yes, you read that right! The American Cobras' losing streak continued as they lost the COTT World Tag Team titles after a five month reign at NYCW The King Of New York to underdogs The LA Stars. On the same night, Pablo Rodriguez defended the COTT World Heavyweight title against DeCipher at EMLL Mortal Combat IX by using the ropes during the pin. The COTT has publicly both condemned Rodriguez for resorting to cheating, and apologized for Rodriguez not showing up to any fan events before or after Mortal Combat IX and has offered a discount on merchandise for ticket-holders. Wednesday, Week 3: OLLIE Arte De Luchar #2 is the event agreed upon by the COTT to hold the match to crown the new COTT Trios champions where the team of Silver Tiger, Disturbed, and Dragon Americano defeated Tricolor Jr, Cosmic Rider, and Extranjero Loco to fill the vacant titles. Ironically, Silver Tiger was recently put forward by the former champs as a replacement for the injured Tigre Salvaje Jr, which the COTT declined. Given this and the apparent tension between Masked Cougar and Silver Tiger at CZCW Spring Break Bash '20, we reached out to The Pride for comment but received no response.
  8. ~~~ Simon Waves is still staring at the ceiling from his hospital bed when Willow gets back with her cantina coffee. He doesn't move to acknowledge her in any way which worried Willow because it wasn't like him. To be honest, Simon hadn't been much like himself since the Beach Boys had to disband, but it had steadily gotten worse until she barely recognized him now. Still, she knew he was still in there somewhere and was willing to help him come back if she could. Someone arrived and Willow hoped it was the doctor with Simon's MRI results, but it was another nurse there to do whatever it is that nurses do to keep everything running. "And how are we feeling? Not very good I see." The nurse talked as she worked on whatever she was doing. "That's ok, I think you're going to get better soon." "Did the doctor say something?" Willow perks up at the nurse's remarks. "Yes, of course! The Doctor says a lot of things, all the time! Oh, you meant Simon's doctor? We haven't spoken, but I wouldn't trust him if he works in this hospital. I work for Dr. Cocteau who runs the Better You clinic, and Dr. Cocteau has taken a special interest in young Simon's case so he sent me with a special offer." "So Dr. Cocteau can fix Simon's ankle?" "His ankle? Oh yes! His ankle and anything else that seems to trouble him these days. Dr. Cocteau wants me to tell you that Simon's case fascinates him, and he's willing to treat Simon for free if Simon is willing to be a case study for the Doctor's research!" The nurse hands Willow a business card that says 'A Better You For A Better Tomorrow!' with an address under it. "Come by whenever he's ready!" As the nurse leaves, Willow looks at Simon still staring at the ceiling and fidgets with the business card. ~~~
  9. ~~~ CZCW Presents: Spring Break Bash '20 Saturday, Week 1, April 2020 ~~~ As the show begins, The Guru is standing on the stage with a mic and he introduces someone as the COTT's authorized representative, as well as the owner of Mid Atlantic Wrestling, the legendary Sam Keith! Keith receives the mic from the Guru and waits for the cheers to die down. He thanks everyone for the warm welcome and says he knows everyone must be looking forward to the show as much as he is so he'll make it short. Due to The Pride's actions at Uprising last month, the COTT thought it prudent to send someone to collect the COTT Trios titles... "And they picked you? Or did you volunteer because you hate yourself?" Masked Cougar's voice rings out across the venue and he soon comes out from the back with a mic accompanied by El Jaguar and Silver Tiger. "It must be that you hate living. There's no way anyone would volunteer for this suicide mission otherwise." Cougar gets right into Keith's face and it looks like someone might take a swing, but cooler heads prevail for now and Keith begins speaking again. "Well, Cougar, to tell you the truth I was sort of volunteered. But I promise, when I told the Mid Atlantic boys all about it, there was no shortage of volunteers willing to come back me up. I mean, I did sweeten the pot a little by offering whoever came with me Mid Atlantic's full backing in the Trios Tournament... Coastal Zone! Please welcome at this time to the stage... Mid Atlantic Wrestling's official entrants, and eventual winners of the Trios Tournament, Mid Atlantic American champion Josh Jacobs and the Mid Atlantic Tag Team champions Tyrone Gray and Nate DeMarcus!" The Pride doesn't look very impressed as Jacobs and Gray come out to the stage, but that quickly changes when big Nate DeMarcus follows. The three MAW champions line up in a staredown with The Pride, and as Cougar looks up at DeMarcus he throws his COTT Trios belt to the ground in front of Sam Keith. El Jaguar and Silver Tiger look at each other, but neither makes a move to give up their COTT Trios belts until Masked Cougar makes some emphatic gestures and Jaguar drops his belt in front of Keith. Cougar turns and gets in Silver Tiger's face until he angrily drops his COTT Trios belt as well. "I have a big match tonight, otherwise I would take this Mid Atlantic trash out myself! I promise everyone this: when the time is right, we're going to come for what's ours and no one will stand in our way!" DeMarcus grabs the mic from Cougar and says "See you in the tournament!" 63 ~~~ vs Remmy Skye / Frankie-Boy Fernandes / California Love Machine vs Acid / Babau / Moroi The lights go out for several moments, and when they come back up Babau and Moroi are twitching in the middle of the ring. The lights go out once again, and this time when they come back up Acid is in the center of the ring between the Night Terrors, standing with his arms crossed over his chest. He hits the middle rope, and poses with his crossed arms while the announcers point out that Acid probably influenced all five of the other wrestlers in this match. Remmy Skye's music hits and he comes out to the stage with Going Coastal, then they move in unison to the ring while Skye and CLM play to the crowd. CLM and Acid begin the match, but before they lock up Acid crosses his arms and just stands in the center of the ring, as if daring CLM to do something about it. CLM attacks, but Acid is able to dodge the sequence and comes back up in the center of the ring, his arms still crossed over his chest. CLM briefly considers his next move, then smiles and tags in Fernandes, who approaches Acid and launches into some offense. Again, Acid is able to dodge the sequence of moves without even uncrossing his arms and comes back up in the center of the ring. Fernandes looks surprised, and after some moments, goes over to tag in Remmy. Remmy steps up to Acid, still in the center of the ring with his arms crossed, and instead of attacking Remmy starts dancing to the delight of the crowd. Acid goes from confused to enraged in about 3 seconds and attacks Remmy! The posturing over, the match begins in earnest with Acid taking control, emerging as his team's general by directing Babau and Moroi in their efforts to defeat their opponents. "You know who I am! You know what I do!" Kid Fantastic starts yelling at the crowd as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Remmy, on the apron waiting for a tag, sees Kid Fantastic and goes to confront him, leaving Going Coastal in a 2 on 3 situation as Skye and Fantastic start battling outside the ring by using their environment. Inside the ring, Fernandes has felt the need for speed and starts showcasing his flashy moves leading to Babau and Moroi to try to keep up. Acid, instead of trying to keep up, tries to slow Fernandes down. Fernandes manages to avoid several attempts by Acid to interrupt his momentum, then tags in CLM for some classic Going Coastal tandem moves. Acid rolls out of the ring, leaving Going Coastal to face The Night Terrors in a de-facto tag team match, which CLM soon wins for his team after a Coast-Liner on Moroi. Winners: Remmy Skye / Frankie-Boy Fernandes / California Love Machine 63 ~~~ Britney Hollywood enters the stage carrying a mic while Going Coastal are separating Remmy Skye and Kid Fantastic. "Congratulations, boys! I knew you could do it! You made it worthwhile for me to come out here by winning your match! I was running some numbers earlier and it turns out that overall engagement is up when The American Cobras interact with you two. How-ev-er! There's data to suggest that our numbers might go even higher if we add a little twist. So, that got the wheels turning, and it all came together when I remembered the Trios Tournament, which would definitely boost our numbers! So to kill two birds with one stone, instead of the usual tag team match, I'm challenging you two and your colorful friend to a trios match! We might as well take your friend's friend over there for our team ('You know who I am!' Kid Fantastic yells out as he struggles against Going Coastal's grip) and you boys can all have a great time beating each other up in front of the little people. Win-win!" 50 ~~~ vsvs Flash Savage / Ozzie Goldstein / Raphael vs Mr Lucha III / Electric Dreamer / Extraordinario Jr vs The Tic / Little Dragon / Katoh Freak 3 vs 3 vs 3: Single Elimination Team WLW is out first, led by the man said to be World Level Wrestling's unofficial mascot, The Tic. He and Little Dragon play to the crowd as they're followed by the strange Katoh Freak. Out next is Team OLLIE from Mexico, a high energy entrance for the group of lucha libre experts led by Mr. Lucha III. As team OLLIE makes their way down the ramp, Mr Lucha and Extraordinario jostle each other a bit as they both try to reach the ring first. Out last is the freelance team of Canadians, all three wearing matching sparkly gear with the Canadian maple leaf featured prominently in a gold design that complements their blonde hair. The match begins and the action is almost too fast to follow as speedy competitors battle it out. Luckily, Katoh Freak is there to slow things down whenever he manages to catch someone with his strikes. The Tic and Little Dragon make a particularly effective duo in the early match, but Mr Lucha eventually hits the Third Strike on Dragon to eliminate Team WLW. As Dragon is pinned, a fourth, larger blonde Canadian in the form of Jerry Martin comes out to the ringside area carrying a Canadian flag and enthusiastically cheering for his team. With Team OLLIE and Team Canada now squaring off, the action seems even faster until Mr Lucha is able to hit the Third Strike on Ozzie Goldstein. Extraordinario tags himself in and goes for the cover, but Mr Lucha breaks up the pin himself and gets in Extraordinario's face! Extraordinario doesn't back down leading to Electric Dreamer stepping in between them to defuse the situation, and none of Team OLLIE notices when Team Canada launches a triple dropkick attack. Mr Lucha and Extraordinario fall through the ropes to the floor outside, where Jerry Martin is waiting to use his flag pole as a weapon while the ref is otherwise occupied in trying to regain control of the match. Electric Dreamer is triple-teamed until Flash Savage is able to secure the pin. Winners: Flash Savage / Ozzie Goldstein / Raphael 60 ~~~ The Guru is standing backstage between Pablo Rodriguez and American Flash, and says everyone would like to know why they requested a match tonight as a tag team given the issues they've been having. Both Flash and Rodriguez start to speak at the same time, so they pause, and Flash gestures for Rodriguez to go ahead. "Ever since this match was announced, people have been asking me 'Why? Why would you trust someone like American Flash?' Who says I trust him? In this business, trust can be a luxury. I've been in locker rooms all over the world and trust is often the first casualty when survival is at stake. I plan on not only surviving, but thriving, as I stand alongside anyone willing to do the work of stopping Blackfriar. And if I ever turn my back to Flash again, maybe I'll deserve what I get for not learning my lesson." The Guru says it must be tough relying on someone to watch your back if you don't trust them. He then asks American Flash how he feels about teaming with someone so soon after Matt Sparrow's betrayal. "Nothing about the last few months feels great, I don't know about you but when I don't feel great I focus on the goal at hand. There are a lot of places to hide in this world and only one of me so the goal tonight is to stick to Rodriguez like glue because I think that's the shortest road to finding Blackfriar. Wherever Blackfriar is, I have a feeling Matt can't be far behind." Finally, The Guru asks about why they wanted to face The American Cobras. Rodriguez answers, "When you're about to go to war you should hone the steel of your blade until it is as strong as your convictions. To put it simply, nothing but the best will do to help prepare us for what's to come. I know what it takes to be a champion of the COTT and if Flash and I can make it through The American Cobras I think we'll be as ready as we can be for Blackfriar." The Guru thanks both Rodriguez and Flash for their time, and wishes them luck tonight. 54 ~~~ vs Connor Threepwood vs Simon Waves Shoot Club tryout Threepwood is out first, wearing a hooded robe and accompanied by the rest of Shoot Club. Coleman is wearing a Shoot Club-branded tracksuit and carrying a clipboard to the ring as de Grazia follows with a stopwatch and a whistle around her neck. Eureka LaBelle brings up the rear, barely able to juggle the folding chair, ice chest, and towels he's carrying. As Coleman settles in, Simon Waves' music hits and Simon comes out accompanied by Willow, who seems somehow unhappy to be there. Halfway down the ramp, she grabs his shoulder and tries to get him to go back with her, but he seems determined so after a moment she follows him to the ring. The match starts and Waves rushes Threepwood, gaining an early advantage with his speed and determination. Coleman starts scribbling on his clipboard while he watches Threepwood barely able to keep up as Waves pours it on, but Threepwood able to stay in the fight with some surprising speed of his own. Eventually, Threepwood is able to take Waves down to the mat, where Waves shows off an underappreciated part of his skill set with some chain wrestling. Suddenly, de Grazia blows the whistle as the stopwatch hits the 5-minute mark and Threepwood somehow transitions into the Stretch Plum on the spot. His grip is tight as he holds a struggling Waves in place, but he seems to be waiting to apply the pressure needed for a submission victory. Coleman reviews his clipboard, and blows his whistle which triggers Threepwood to fully apply the Stretch Plum for the tap out. Winner: Connor Threepwood 57 ~~~ Coleman holds out his hand and LaBelle rushes to fill it with a water bottle, then attends to Threepwood's towel and water needs while Coleman enters the ring and addresses Simon Waves. "I liked that fire at the start! You've got some decent fundamentals, and that plus the fire is a solid foundation to build on. I might even stake my reputation on being able to turn you into a champion in any promotion in the world but let's face it, I'm not exactly known for my generous nature. What is it you bring to the table, Simon? There's a war coming, if it's not already here, and I need soldiers! Not special projects. Application is rejected, sorry Simon." Simon Waves seems taken aback, and hangs his head while Willow stands nearby with a concerned look on her face. "I am going to do you one favor. It's not going to cost me anything, but it will change your life, possibly even for the better. And if it does you're going to find me one day and say 'Thank you, Coach Coleman!' I probably won't remember you but I like to think it'll still feel good to hear." Coleman takes Waves down to the mat, and applies the Ankle Brace! Waves thrashes and taps the mat in vain as Coleman twists; Threepwood, de Grazia, and LaBelle line up between Coleman and the onrush of CZCW officials; and Willow cries out for Coleman to have mercy! There's no mercy to be found in Coleman's eyes or smile as he continues to twist until Waves lets out an agonized scream. Coleman lets go and rolls out of the ring just as the press of CZCW officials makes it past the other members of Shoot Club. Unable to make it to the back on one foot, Simon Waves is carried while a worried Willow looks on. 50 ~~~ vs Notorious vs RagnaRock Open Challenge for the Coastal Zone Tag Team titles: Hardcore rules Heavy metal riffs fill the venue as Chet Chavez returns to tag team action alongside Onslaught, both young wrestlers having apparently discovered a shared love of music and deciding to form not only a tag team but a band as well; 'RagnaRock' being the latest name of this venture. They take to opposite sides of the ring, climb the middle rope, and throw out the horns while they headbang. The riffs suddenly end and are replaced by driving hip hop beats, announcing the arrival of hype time with Fro Sure. Sure starts his spiel about Notorious being the 3-time tag champs when suddenly Carlos Barrera and Miguel Rivera come running out to the stage and down the ramp. Chavez and Onslaught are focused on meeting Notorious' usual bullrush but it never comes. Instead, Barrera and Rivera stop in front of the ring and stand there while Bullseye and Waylon Walls arrive at ringside behind RagnaRock. Barrera tells the ref to start the match, and the assault by the four men is brutal and quick, leading to a fast win when Notorious hits the Drop Off on Chavez. Winners: Notorious 57 ~~~ Notorious and Gangster Nation take the center of the ring, Carlos Barrera grabs Fro Sure's mic and says "This is your one and only warning! The Coastal Zone belongs to Notorious Nation and we will defend what's ours, whatever it takes! All four of us made it through the Coastal Resort and we all bled in the dark matches. We bled until we clawed our way to where we're at today. We beat the hell out of each other and kept coming back for more! If you want to act big in the Coastal Zone, you better be prepared to back it up. Outsiders and other fools, the Notorious Nation will bleed to keep what's ours! Are you willing to bleed to take it?" The Uprising's music hits and Talia Quinzel comes out with a mic, accompanied by her partner Selina Svelte. "Honestly, we expected something like this. Capable women come along and the men all put aside their petty differences for long enough to gang up and prevent those women from realizing their fullest potential. And I'm not even talking about 'Notorious Nation' yet! We've been here for months and the best we've been given is two matches against, and no offense ladies, teams far below our abilities. Number one, where's our match with Going Coastal or the Cobras? Ice Cold hasn't been busy lately... Number two, why are we only wrestling other women? We've proved ourselves on the greatest women's roster ever assembled by becoming 5SSW Tag Team champions and we can't even get a match against The Night Terrors. Why? Because capable women scare men. And guess what? You men should be scared..." As Quinzel holds Notorious Nation's attention, Kate Lilly and Debbie Rose slide into the ring and quietly pick off Bullseye and Miguel Rivera by choking them out. Next is the big man, Waylon Walls, and in a brilliant bit of timing Lilly & Rose hit The Thorn on him just as Quinzel finishes speaking. Carlos Barrera turns around in time to suffer the same fate as Walls, and Fro Sure backs out of the ring and avoids the stage entirely as he quickly heads to the back. "When they wake up, somebody tell them that their next open challenge already has some takers." 45 ~~~ vsvs Deadly Deadshot vs Pinky Perez vs LA Star #2 Coastal Zone Xtreme title: No DQs As the match begins, Deadly Deadshot's strategy is revealed as he takes every opportunity to let Pinky and Star #2 fight it out, presumably so he can pick over whatever is left. Star #2, young and inexperienced, falls for it easily but Pinky is able to both deal with him and keep some pressure on Deadshot throughout the match. Deadshot switches to Plan B and grabs a chair from under the ring and uses it to blast both Pinky and Star #2. Then, staring at both of his downed competitors, Deadshot makes a decision and slowly extends a finger gun at Star #2. He picks up Star #2 and hits the Dead Drop for the three count, then immediately starts untying the young high-flyer's mask. Pinky recovers enough to notice what's happening and tries to intervene but Deadshot is quick enough to leave the ring with both the mask and his title. Pinky finds a Shoot Club towel left at ringside and helps LA Star #2 cover up his face as he heads to the back. Winner: Deadly Deadshot 65 ~~~ The Guru is backstage with a mic, standing with Frantic Ali as he briefly hypes the stakes of tonight's main event. "Not only is a shot at the Coastal Zone Championship at stake, a main event spot on the biggest card of the year is on the line. Ali, why have you accepted Masked Cougar's challenge with so much to lose and seemingly so little to gain?" "Because he's a working man, that's why!" Cali Slick arrives on the scene with Ice Cold in tow. "There's a job to do and lucky for all of us there's a working man here to do it. Reminds me of my Father. Anyway Ali, we just wanted to wish you luck in your match tonight. Be seeing you!" Slick, Becker, and Cash leave and Ali grabs the mic from The Guru. "That right there is the reason I'm here tonight! Opportunity is knocking so loud for me even Cali Slick heard it from under his rock, now he's sniffing around for a piece. You say there's so much to lose but I say I've already achieved so much more than anyone said I could. I have a date with Frankie Perez coming up and I need him to know he should take me seriously. If he doesn't, then it will cheapen the whole thing and I can't have that. Masked Cougar, you are about to become a statistic. Just an example to the world, and especially to Frankie Perez!" 51 ~~~ vs Pablo Rodriguez / American Flash vs The American Cobras As the match begins, Rodriguez locks up with Spillane and Matt Sparrow comes out to the stage. Flash notices Sparrow once he's about halfway down the ramp, and drops off the apron to confront him. As Flash gets closer, Sparrow starts backing up, soon turning around and breaking into a sprint. Flash starts running after Sparrow, stopping briefly to look at the ring, and chases him to the back. In the ring, Rodriguez and Spillane are chain wrestling until Britney Hollywood distracts the ref and the Cobras are able to double-team Rodriguez. He's soon able to create some space and get to his corner, but he finds it empty with no one there to tag. The Cobras' advantage in the match is continually exploited to wear down the Lucha Legend, though Rodriguez is periodically able to get some offense in, especially once he starts cheating. Eye pokes, holding the shorts during a quick rollup, even biting foreheads as Rodriguez fights for his survival. Suddenly, American Flash comes running back down the ramp and stands in his corner, enthusiastically reaching out for a tag! Rodriguez seems split on the matter, he knows he needs a break but he's hesitant to make this particular tag. The Cobras take advantage of the situation and continue to work over Rodriguez. Not normally one to cheat, Flash surprises everyone by jumping up on the top rope and looking for a target in the ring, but is so focused that he doesn't notice Matt Sparrow coming back out and sneaking up on him. Sparrow pushes him off the top rope and into the ref! Pee-Wee Germaine rolls out of the ring to the floor below and Flash shortly follows to check on him. Sparrow grabs a chair from under the ring and starts stalking Flash, but Flash catches him and does a spinning back-kick into the chair causing Sparrow to get a face full. Flash grabs the chair and throws it into the ring, then starts climbing after it but Sparrow grabs his leg. Rodriguez reaches the chair first, and doesn't hesitate to use it on both Malloy and Spillane. He drops the chair and goes for a cover on Spillane, the groggy ref does his best to get into position and count the three, and gets there for the pin. Winners: Pablo Rodriguez / American Flash 72 ~~~ The ref, still on shaky legs raises Rodriguez' hand as American Flash slides into the ring with a chair. Rodriguez notices him almost immediately and is on guard, but that doesn't deter Flash from raising the chair and moving towards Rodriguez. Suddenly, another American Flash comes rushing out to the stage and down the ramp, hitting the ring and attacking the other American Flash, making him drop the chair. Rodriguez quickly picks up the chair as he watches the struggle between the two Flashes unfold. He lifts the chair but seems uncertain what to do, which one to hit. "Oh if only you had an Oracle of your own..." Aldous Blackfriar appears on the screen above the stage, along with 5SSW star Fuyuko Higa. "There's a lot said about you Pablo, but knowing the future isn't one of them. You also aren't a gambler, even at 50-50 odds. Which one is it, Pablo? Which one is enacting my will and which one is willing to stand with you to stop me? Choose!" After a moment, Rodriguez swings at the closest American Flash, dropping him to the mat. The other Flash seems grateful and moves towards Rodriguez only to meet his own chair shot! With both Flashes down, Rodriguez makes a move towards Sparrow, but stops when Sparrow drops to his knees and bows his head. On the screen, Blackfriar starts laughing! "'The Endless Will Be Revealed Through Both Their Wisdom And Folly - So Rings Out The Harmony Of Dusk!'" The screen goes black as CZCW officials hit the ring to tend to the carnage, Rodriguez seems deep in thought and doesn't resist when someone takes the chair from him and leads him to the back. 55 ~~~ vs Masked Cougar vs Frantic Ali #1 Contender for the Coastal Zone Championship Frankie Perez' music hits and the champ comes out to the stage in street clothes to pose with the title. Perez then goes to sit next to Cliff Anderson and The Guru at the announcer's table while Frantic Ali's music starts and Ali himself comes out to the stage. He pointedly stares at Frankie for several moments before heading down the ramp to the ring. Before Ali can reach the ring, The Pride rushes out to attack him! Ali is able to hold his own as he throws brutal punches and knees, and is able to create enough space to hoist Cougar up on his shoulders for a Death Valley Driver but Jaguar and Tiger intervene to save Cougar. Ali is finally overwhelmed by The Pride and rolled into the ring where Cougar forces the ref to start the match and immediately goes for a pin. Ali kicks out before one, practically throwing Cougar off of him in the process. Cougar immediately goes back on the attack with his aerial offense and chain-wrestling, using his speed advantage to avoid Ali's big swings. While heavy strikes are Ali's bread-and-butter, he shows off some of his own mat skills and flashy moves as he waits for his window to really lay into his opponent. Complicating matters for Ali are Jaguar and Tiger on the outside, both luchadors willing to lend their leader a hand with a quick assault or well-placed ref distraction. Momentum seems to be on Cougar's side until it finally happens; Ali catches Cougar with a massive right to the jaw as Cougar is coming off the top rope! Cougar seems out but his drastic change in fortunes continues as Ali picks him up for the Death Valley Driver and hits it before Jaguar and Tiger can react. Both of them quickly jump up to the apron, the ref intervenes with Silver Tiger but El Jaguar slips by only to eat some heavy punches and be hoisted up into a Death Valley Driver. Tiger pushes the ref out of the way to get to Ali and immediately gets his own Death Valley Driver. Ali picks Cougar up on his shoulders again, turns so he's facing the announcer's table, points at Frankie Perez and drives Cougar down into the mat once more for the pin. Winner: Frantic Ali 67 ~~~ Frantic Ali continues staring at Frankie Perez as the ref raises his arm, leading Frankie to taking off his headset and standing with his title raised above his head. Ali beckons Frankie to the ring, and as Frankie starts heading to the ramp Ali sits on the middle rope and lifts the top rope over his shoulder. Frankie decides to decline Ali's gesture and instead enters the ring from a different side. Both men approach each other and meet in the center for a staredown for several moments, then Frankie produces a mic from his back pocket. "You said you wanted me to take you seriously and I'm here to tell you... no, prove to you that I do. When we meet in the ring I want there to be no questions about who's the better wrestler so I want our match to be a Last Man Standing match!" Ali smiles and nods, looking eager to fight, as Perez drops the mic and raises the title once again. 62 ~~~ Attendance: 1440 in Long Beach, CA 24, 525 viewers on WrestleWorld Overall: 61 ~~~

  11. Went down the rabbit hole on YouTube and found this that I thought I'd share for people not familiar with Kevin Sullivan's work.
  12. Kevin Sullivan is a great shout out! My first memory of him is when Hulk Hogan was feuding with the Dungeon of Doom, I think I asked my mom if I could call the WCW Hotline to suggest the Taskmaster hire the Undertaker to help him kill off Hulkamania for the Master. I gained a much better appreciation for Sullivan later on when I looked into his earlier work and he's probably an influence on what I'm doing here whether I realize it or not. Well, if Blackfriar winds up thawing someone out of a block of ice to deal with Rodriguez we'll know where I got it. Thanks for checking out the thread and taking the time to predict and comment!

  15. Tuesday, Week 1, April - The Confederation of the Territories has officially vacated the COTT Trios titles and is expected to soon announce the participants in the match to crown new champions. The COTT would like to thank their inaugural trios champions Masked Cougar, El Jaguar, and Tigre Salvaje Jr for their contributions to the sport of pro wrestling, and further wish Tigre Salvaje Jr a speedy recovery and return to the ring. The former champs are assured that every effort possible will be made to accommodate them in a match for the titles at a future date. In related trios news, CZCW has issued a statement saying that Silver Tiger will be allowed to replace Tigre Salvaje Jr as one third of the Coastal Zone Trios champs on the condition that The Pride accepts their spot in the yet-unamed CZCW Trios Tournament, and further that they defend their titles in every tournament match they participate in. CZCW has offered The Pride the number one seed in the tournament as well as a first-round bye, meaning they automatically advance to Round 2. Should they accept, a new Trios title reign will be acknowledged by CZCW for the purposes of record keeping. CZCW also revealed that their trios tournament has already generated commitments from several promotions to field teams. Already on board are MAW, QAW, and IPW from the USA, OLLIE from Mexico, and WLW from Japan. The tournament will be held under single elimination rules with seeded brackets, and is expected to be held throughout the summer but due to the complexity of holding such a large tournament CZCW declined to say when they expect the final match to be held.
