  1. Matthew Keith and Koshiro Ino are two guys who, in time, seem positioned to have a great blood feud after NEO Prime splits. (I might or might not have designed a whole mod around that potential feud) Brooke Tyler and Lucy Stone-McFly seem destined to clash at the top of CWA for a long time. Pink Spider and Pumpkin Jack seem positioned to start a great rivalry that will headline ZEN cards for years to come.

  3. I have to think Roderick Strong is under the devil mask. He's been faking an on-and-off injury for a while now and already has goons doing his dirty work. And no one else other than Wardlow has beef with MJF. If this eventually leads to an Adam Cole heel turn, all the better. He's better as a heel anyway.
  4. Punk's still got a lot left in the tank. If he can't stay healthy, you could always use Punk as a manager or color commentator. He could like Jerry Lawler or JBL remain with the company in an on-screen role decades after retirement and do a great job. With his history with Dana White and UFC, Punk could be a great bridge between the McMahon ownership group and the new ownership group. If I'm WWE, I have to think you capitalize on the momentum and run him vs. Reigns soon while Punk is healthy. Since Roman beat Punk's record for the streak, you could always have that be a bone of contention between the two stars.
  5. Bossman isn't bad in the ring, but that gimmick in '95 was pretty bad. Orndorff was one of Hogan's first major WWF Feuds. He actually permanently injured his arm to put Hogan over -- Orndoff didn't get treatment that's part of the reason Orndoff's arm is the way it is. There's a great worked shoot promo there if you want go that route. Roma's good enough in the ring and still pretty over. He starts in a tag team with Orndorff. Him and Orndorff could probably have some great matches with The Mega Powers and others. Speaking of tag teams, was watching some early JCP Stuff and would love to see you bring in The New Breed (WCW Version). They would be fun to watch in that Nitro product. Not sure how good the match ratings would be, but Royal and Champion could go in real life. (I've recently become a pretty big New Breed mark and have been telling everyone with a 90s diary to bring them in. They were ahead of their time and wouldn't be out of place today)

  8. Can get to this this weekend. May need a try or two. (Some examples of my work are in this thread)
  9. I can't do it from scratch, but I can edit an existing title to make an AWA United States Belt. (I think the MACW/NWA United States Title made into the AWA Style would look wonderful) (I mean I can do it from scratch but it won't look very good) Will take me a day or two to get it done but should be done Saturday. (Ignore the post count, I've been here making graphics here for a decade)
  10. Glad to see someone else doing 21CW. A lot of posters shy away from doing 21CW or RAW because they believe you have to be British or Australian to do that justice. Since most major C-Verse companies are based off real world American companies any wrestling fan can do a great job covering them. (Japan, of course, is the exception). Looking forward to your take on 21CW. (Push Mark Adonis, he's money in the bank)
  11. As a Rick Martel fan, only if Rick wins the AWA World Title after the two split.

  13. Both agree and disagree here. You are absolutely right about most fans not knowing who Osprey is. AEW also wants to start running Wembley every year, Osprey coming in was arguably their biggest English star and since Tony strapped a rock to him, Osprey has become even bigger. That win over Jericho at All In London absolutely was a star-making push for him. If Osprey left for WWE, he might not come in a star but given that WWE wants to push guys so they run big UK Shows (Drew McIntyre for example) WWE would make Osprey a star. It's addition to AEW in part by subtraction. Look at Sheamus, someone who isn't nearly as skilled or talented or has Osprey's star quality, WWE absolutely stuck a rocket on him and have continued to give him a push because of who Sheamus can draw to the product.
  14. CW: Discussion of Genocide, Violence, Bigotry Even if this was true, a good chunk of the AEW base hate Ronda and many will absolutely stop buying tickets. Ronda Rousey is one of the visible American transphobes when there's an entire American political party (The GOP) who wants to genocide trans people. Hiring Ronda Rousey is a PR disaster. And Tony Khan hired her for a developmental brand several thousand people watch on an internet subscription service solely so a couple news organizations will write about it. Did Mainstream Media write about Ronda's debut? Yes. Mainstream media wrote about David Arquette winning the title and probably when Courntey Cox showed up on Nitro and that killed WCW. And Courtney Cox from Friends was a way bigger mainstream star in 2000 than Ronda Rousey is today. You don't sign people to get a headline. Wrestling fans don't care about Ronda, she has go away heat for the comments shes made about wrestling, her poor in-ring work and rumored backstage attitude. She won't draw a dime that's why Ronda is in ROH. If nothing else, it's a huge risk for no reward. Author's Note: Because of how heated this discussion is, this will be the last statement I make on the matter. As a lbgtq+ person, I'm trying to give my friends here a lbqtq+ perspective the Ronda Rousey signing and how it will influence AEW, because I know that we have many on this board very invested in the company and I want to give them an honest assessment of the situation. I have tried to remove emotion and/or inflammatory material from this post. I don't think most wrestling fans understand how disproportionately lbgtq+ the AEW fan base is compared to the general population and I want to emphasize that.
  15. CW: Transphobia, Hate Speech As an lbgtq+ person, Tony employing Ronda Rousey in any capacity will make it difficult for me to personally support AEW in any way. Her comments about trans woman Fallon Fox were completely unacceptable but ESPECIALLY in our current political climate. As far as I can tell Ronda has made no attempts to apologize or change her views or reflect. As part of the career community, I will personally attest that lbgtq+ fans are a huge and very loyal part of AEW's fanbase. Employing Ronda Rousey will immediately hurt AEW attendance and ticket sales. AEW's fanbase is built upon American New Japan fans and American Stardom Fans. Overwhelmingly, these fans are either lbgtq+ themselves or love someone who is. It isn't 1996, most Anime fans aren't cis white men anymore. Especially when the most over truly homegrown talent The Acclaimed are also the most important lbgtq+ act in wrestling right now. (I'm counting MJF as an MLW product but given the merchandise numbers you could argue The Acclaimed are more over now). What if Anthony Bowens rips into AEW for hiring Rousey? What if he decides to leave AEW when his (4-year contract from 2020) comes up? Bowens is The Acclaimed, he does almost all the microphone work and most the in-ring work for the trio, without him the leading merch seller in AEW ceases to exist overnight. I know not everyone here is not part of the lbgtq+ community like me. Tony Khan has made a monumental business mistake employing Ronda and unless he apologizes and this will hurt the company. Regardless of your opinion on Ronda, from a business perspective Tony just made a massive mistake.
  16. I mainly do logos and alts (which I'm most known for) but with logos, it feels like you get only a couple of fonts for the ai-generated text. They're well-shaded and relatively well-rotated fonts put in an expressive, but for a guy who actually prefers to hand draw his logos (to varying levels of success), it just doesn't scratch that itch for me!
  17. I understand why AI has appeal and why people use it. Renders and logos take a TON of time and skill and AI can step in and let you create graphics for a mod or creator in minutes. It democratizes the game and helps a lot of people. I'll probably use it at some point. Things with less detail, like trophies or belts, sometimes do come out really good particularly if further edited and messed around with in GIMP. As someone who has both made and requested logos for TEW, AI cannot compete with either human-made logos or renders. For me at least, there's a level of craftsmanship in human-made work that AI cannot duplicate. For example, there's a huge problem with stylistic variety, line consistency and text alignment in logos and in renders a lack of contrast and a lack of consistent lighting source among other things. After you've seen a couple threads of AI generated images, (right now at least) the images do appear a bit samey. And given that AI works as a composite image based on prompts, I don't know if a future version will address the lack of variety and options. I can't speak for everyone involved but for me it doesn't appear the same. (Going to just say my general opinion of AI is that overall it isn't capable of replicating creative pursuits to a professional degree and may never be).

  19. His work has similarities with older LBGTQ+ characters like Adrian Street or Adrian Adonis you don't see a lot anymore, but in way that LBGTQ+ fans (like me) can appreciate. (While those comparisons often come up from the IWC, Castle largely says his inspirations are stuff like rock music for the record.) I remember reading somewhere that Dalton usually prefers to work as a face and after seeing Rampage I kind of like him better in that role. From what I've seen (probably three or four matches), Dalton's workrate is really strong. He's a former amateur standout which you don't often see a lot in wrestling nowadays (here's some proof for his work with Team USA) -- a lot of the great in-ring workers were amateur standouts: Angle, Lesnar and the Steiners notably. He's one of those guys the more you read up on and watch him the more you think he should be a much bigger star than he is. (Eddie Guerrero and Magnum TA were also collegiate wrestlers among others) Between the Acclaimed and Castle (among others), AEW has developed a pretty strong LBGTQ+ fanbase and its a genuine point of strength for the company -- especially since the WWE brand has been negatively associated with homophobia & notable homophobic far-right politicians. (Though to be fair, Vince McMahon who was in charge when a lot of this negative WWE behavior happened seems soon to leave the company)

  21. I've always found him a real unique act in AEW, I don't really know if there's one comparison but Pillman isn't a bad one. The fans got behind him in the match with Nick Wanye, Dalton definitely is getting over in AEW. I'm glad to see Dalton start to move up the card. He's still losing, but at least Tony has started protecting him in finishes -- and having Dalton challenge for Belts. Thought his work with Nick Wayne was pretty good. I was worried for a bit Castle would be enhancement talent. He's way better than job guys like the Outrunners and the Workhorsemen.
