1. How badly can announcing drag my main event down? Since I hit Cult I haven't got higher than a B for a main event when at regional I was regularly hitting A's. The only negative on the dirt sheet is the announcing (the best announcers available in the UK have 65 for announcing)

So my question here is what to do after you've completed the challenge. My fed is at Global and my UC has been the champion twice at this level. So now what? I'm thinking about leaving and having my UC start a local fed and then repeating the process with some young protege but that seems like an odd move for a 32 year old who is on top of the world so to speak. I'm out of competition. I have all the big stars. Too many even. This is easily the most successful run at the Road to Glory challenge I've ever had but because of that I'm now unsure of where to go or what to do so early in my career.

Did you complete the RtG challenge by getting an A* match in a national fed? 8.
I started a new game using Derek B's 1997 C-verse mod. Here is Arutha Hawke:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/Hawke%20Start_zpsswcvimrb.jpg

I opened the National Wrestling Federation based in South UK. The start game is so different to TEW13 and it was really odd to be running nine shows a month in the first year. I managed to get into profit in May 1998 and at the end of 1998 I have 287k in the bank.

In Jan 1999 Hawke has improved very quickly due to the 90 matches he has wrestled already:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/Hawke%20Jan%2099_zpsqgog6tbc.png

The British scene is fairly strong at the moment, NWF and MOSC are both regional and ROF just opened so there are plenty of places for British talent to gain experience.

Top Five Matches:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/1999%20Top%20Five%20Matches_zps9sztegsy.png

End of Year Rolls:

1997 - 37. “Eeeehhhhhhhhhhh” or “It’s Not Arrogance If You Can Back It Up”

1998 - 49. "Where There’s A Will" One of your die hard fans has passed on bequeathing their worldly possessions to your promotion. Do you accept it or donate it to charity? Gain EITHER $56,609 or +5 Prestige.

I've got loads of money so I took the prestige

 9.
End of Year Four:

British Wrestling Federation - Small ($98k in the bank)

It's slow progress with the UK's wrestling industry so low, it is rising now though and I must only be a show or two away from Regional. 21CW just went bust so there is no one to steal my workers and there are so many to choose from.

Cornell went to SWF who also have the biggest star in the world and the best wrestler of 2019; Rocky Golden.

Best UC match so far: Hawke over O'Curle, Kohl and DeAske - B-

End of year rolls:

Year 1: 19. “Feet of Fury” You have devoted your holiday season to training in the ring +5 to your Puroresu skill

Year 2: 3. "Trusted Companion" You gain the Loyalty of one of your roster (random roll from the list of your current roster)

Year 3: 34. “Healing Hands” Over the holiday season you book yourself in for several massages and physio appointments. +7.5 to all Physical Condition.

Year 4: 54. "As Real As It Gets" The World of MMA called you out and you delivered. Add +10 between Toughness and Menace. Add MMA to your character (Other Genre)

hmm, I'm not sure how my flippy guy is ever going to win an MMA fight but we will see.

 10. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/LeeDiv_zpsdq8fib0w.jpg Despite the render Mr Lee is 16, that must have been a short marriage.
 11. Well done Soxfan, I inducted Samayel into the RTG Hall of immortals
 12. Mine went from 28k to 4.5k and show costs from 4.3k to 1.7k.
 13. Adam's announced changes for the next patch: Changes for next patch: - Sponsorship has been raised a little - Local companies no longer have a minimum roster size - Show costs are much lower for all companies below cult, especially local
 14. End of Year 2: A good year for Arutha Hawke, he is now the figurehead of BWF and has defended his title in classic matches against JOJI and Merle O'Curle (both C-'s). Hugh DeAske is up next at the start of 2018. Rolls so far: 19. “Feet of Fury” You have devoted your holiday season to training in the ring +5 to your Puroresu skill 3. "Trusted Companion" You gain the Loyalty of one of your roster (random roll from the list of your current roster). Bryant Ramirez is now loyal to me. He is Bruiser's regen and he is obviously now getting a push.
 15. Thanks to the new patch I managed to claw back the $75k debt I had and the British Wrestling Federation survived. I now have everything I need to be the figurehead except Merle O'Curle is more over than me. That will be rectified when I take my BWF title back at the next show. I'm looking forward to getting deep into a save at last. If you post an update in this format (or similar) i'll update the front page with your ongoing challenge: Arutha Hawke (British Wrestling Federation - Small) Game date: August 2017 Best UC Match so far: D vs Merle O'Curle (April 2017)
 16. Maybe because, like me, you imagined him facing midgets at every show
 17.
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/ColPic1_zpsegrmsfmw.jpg

Good luck with that

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/ColPic2_zpsxzxrghw1.jpg

 18. The new patch increased my sponsorship from $7k to $28k. Thanks Adam. Time to take advantage and get this $75k debt cleared..
 19.

http://puu.sh/oJv3Z/05ad5632c8.jpg

Just had this show as a small company. El Mitico Jr. is a legend.

Screw El Mitico, how did Fro Sure get a 71 out of Annihilus?!

 20.
What can affect sponsorship? My momentum and popularity are rising and the industry and economy are also rising however my sponsorship income dropped by 40% in one month.

My product is also the same so it can't be that.

 21.

I just lost my second save. I tried going one event a month with very low cost workers until I started a profit, and then switched to somewhat better workers. It was working, and I was making a profit of between 2-3k a month, but I got closed after about a year and a half with approximately 20k left in debt. I didn't really want to try it the 4 shows a month way, as that seemed less realistic, but it looks like that may have to happen.

For people that were successful with 4 shows a month, how long were your shows? How many workers per show did you have? Did you use events exclusively?

I only ever use six workers per show and each show is one hour long. I am $55k in debt though, I don't think it's going to turn around for me.

 22.
I'm up to June 2016 after booking 20 hour long weekly shows. I'm still losing $8k a month but at least if I go bust this time I'll have 75 matches under my belt. I'm gaining a point per month in each performance stat and i'm only a bit of star quality away from being able to make myself the figurehead.

I'm not too far from Small I think so in an ideal world I can jump ship to a regional promotion before we go bust.

 23.

That's rough man. How many shows are you running in your first year? I lucked out and started with a decent-ish economy and industry and was able to pull in enough sponsors when to maintain the company when it started to dry up.

Seven I think. Got $18000 in debt and couldn't pull it back. I'm going the route of lots of shows now, weekly shows for the first few months.

 24. Make sure the wrestling industry and economy are in decent shape. I just went bust again, fifth time lucky I guess.
