6. Back with another update. Its September of 2002, and some things have changed. The Society has been broken. They were defeated by Sting, RVD, Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles in a 4 on 4 elimination match. Sting took umbrage with CM Punk and laid out a challenge for him to put his money where his mouth was and put the ROH Championship on the line. Punk accepted and was in over his head. One Scorpion Deathlock later and ROH had itself a new champion. Immediately after Sting won, he was brutally attacked by RVD! RVD, if you remember wasn't able to challenge for the ROH Championship as long as Punk was champion, but that's now null and void and he wants the title he held for almost a year back. LAX continues to dominate the tag team division. They have withstood losing the titles to Londrick, and gaining them back. They are looking untouchable, but with Kronik now finished with The Society, could they be the ones to finally put an end to LAXs dominance? Ric Flair has made his presence felt in ROH by recruiting a new, younger set of Horsemen. He scouted talents on shows for weeks before settling on 4 talents to manage. Charlie Haas, the X Division champ, Chris Harris and James Storm the America's Most Wanted and the Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe. Ric has dubbed them his Horsemen Of The Apocalypse. Finn Balor was injured in a match with Joe, but is prepared to return, but he says he's not alone. Joining him are new developmental call ups Hade Vansen and Kenny Omega. What could these 3 have planned? There was no bigger shock to the wrestling world than the signing Dana White made of Bill Goldberg. Having sat out his Turner contract, a lame bidding war between WWE and ROH saw Da Man join ROH full time. He made a few appearances squashing some of the kids and has mysteriously disappeared. What will happen when Goldberg returns? In WWE news, they have split their company in two with a brand split. And with that, Vince needed some new bodies to flesh out an already over sized roster. Among the names hired in 2002 are Road Warrior Hawk, Marty Janetty, Glen Ruth, Hulk Hogan, Tommy Dreamer, Johnny Grunge, Leatherface, Fit Finlay, Rocco Rock, Greg Valentine, Davey Boy Smith and...Norman Smiley? Ok Vince, have fun with them. I dont even want to know what you had to give Hogan to get him to come back.

Hope to see more updates from it

Thanks! Game world things are very interesting. NWA:TNA opened with Jeff Jarrett at the helm. They are different yet similar to reality. They have Shark Boy, and Sonny Siaki on their roster. But at regional they also managed to contract the services of Hulk Hogan who came out of his WCW contract buyout and then none of the new big three (WWF, ROH, NJPW) would touch him.

Scott Hall went on an excursion after his buyout phase was done and has returned but none of the big three will touch him or Nash.

NWA:TNA also has Glacier on their roster which I had a good laugh about. They have a lot of WCW names on their roster and I guess it's only fitting really.

Over in WWFE, Eddie Guerrero has been the WWF Champion for a few months and him and Austin brought the house down at Judgement Day in a 5* star match.

Speaking of Austin, he and Triple H haven't dropped the tag titles yet. Triple H did just win the WCW World Heavyweight title from Booker T though.

Sean O Haire is WCW Tag Team Champion and he also managed to take the Intercontinental title from Triple H and has been enjoying a decent run with it while Palumbo is out injured.

In other news, Shawn Michaels found his smile and returned to WWF only to also find a broken shoulder and back on the shelf he goes.

Shane Douglas has broken his neck, and wont see any action for 13 months.

I can easily look up more world news if that interests anyone.

 9.
I know I'll get told I cheated, but I made it so the game was fun for me, so that's all that matters.

In the Death of WCW mod, had Dana White open up ROH in May of 2001. In my head canon, he wouldn't open a promotion without investing some monetary resources into it so he also announced the Honor Network with initial Big coverage in USA and Canada.

The initial roster was a who's who of indy darlings plus a little gem named Rob Van Dam.

The first year plugged along with RVD and CM Punk being the headline feud over the ROH Championship and those two brought the house down everytime they faced off against each other. RVD couldn't have a bad match if he wanted so it was no surprise that he held onto the championship for almost a full year.

We slowly bought out failing promotions left and right, there was no one safe from ROH, except for FMW and OZ Academy which were bought out by NJPW.

When WWF rejected bringing back Brian Adams and Bryan Clark, ROH swooped in and brought the monsters aboard originally to help legitimize the fledgling tag division consisting of the Havana Pitbulls, LAX (Homicide & Low Ki), Londrick, and America's Most Wanted.

Coinciding with our rise to Cult and the 2nd overall promotion in the world, ROH managed to steal Chris Kanyon away from WWF, and CM Punk finally defeated RVD for the ROH Championship.

The next night on Weekly Honor! Punk arrived with Kronik and Kanyon, calling themselves the Society and putting everyone on notice that they were here to stay.

Austin Aries found the old NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship in Dana White's office and stole it, crowning himself champion and lording it over the division. That didnt sit well with rising star Chris Hero, who had to watch Aries "defend" the belt each week and intentionally get himself counted out to hold on to the title.* Hero would make Aries pay and take the title from him, rechristening it the ROH X Division Championship in the process.

AJ Styles held the ROH TV Championship for nearly a year before he was unseated by Christopher Daniels. They would have a rematch the next night but Styles would move on to help RVD, Rey Mysterio, and John Cena with The Society, and Daniels focus was shifted to Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and Kevin Steen.

Following bitter battles between LAX and Havana Pitbulls, LAX boasted they were untouchable and mocked Londrick who they were defending their titles against. Well, the Pitbulls wanted to teach them some humility and while they didnt win the titles, they did help Londrick unseat LAX from atop the tag division.

When ROH rose to Cult we opened 2 wrestling schools; the School of Honor and the Women of Honor, with the hopes that both promotions would feed ROH the future stars of wrestling, and they are doing just that. Originally a main roster member, Petey Williams from Canada was sent to the School Of Honor as an Opener and returned months later as an Upper Midcarder in setting himself in Daniels TV Championship match at ROH Civil War.

Also at Civil War, CM Punk finally ended RVD's Hope's of regaining the championship when he beat him in a Last Man Standing match with the caveat that if RVD lost, he cant challenge again while CM Punk is champion.

 10.
Just completely caught up, loving this through and through.

Definitely had a good laugh when I saw you had an In Your House in Calgary at McMahon Stadium. Poor bastards must have been freezing in an open air stadium in April hahaha

This is t the story of the island of Misfit Toys, it's where the real competition comes to play their trade.

 12.
Would there be any interest in a diary of my ECW game in the MA mod? Yes, I definitely cheated and gave them their own network, but that is the only thing I did.

The game world is in 2002, and the wrestling landscape has changed drastically. It would be a monthly breakdown from 97 to 2002.

But I can't give any other update other than what I've stated already. We have plans to change quite about the 9000verse you know

 16.
I'll check in with the team. I know that my end of this has been severely put on pause due to that stupid thing called real life (sarcasm).

Edit: just checked in on the team. I think real life is taking its toll on all of us. Will update if we can get our momentum back!

 17.
Took over booking from the Autobooker in 2001, we're now in 2002, as ECW, playing in the Montreal Aftermath mid which I tampered with fir my personal use.

Taking TNA's Xbox Division rule of cashing the title in ala Money In The Bank, CM Punk is now the ECW World Champion after cashing in on Owen Hart at November to Remember. He had aligned himself with Christopher Daniels, Homicide, Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar and Kat La Noir in an attempt to stop Owen and his brother Bret from getting a rematch. After Shane McMahon said no to Owen getting a rematch, Owen went to The Sinister Minister instead and was granted a rematch at ECW Starrcade (we bought out WCW in 2001), with one small caveat, he had to face off in a Steel Cage. CM Punk won the rematch with help from his Next Generation cohorts, and the battle continues to rage.

On Hard Hitting, Chris Jericho has teased cashing in his Golden Ticket on Sting, but hasn't pulled the trigger quite yet. Steve Austin (my figurehead) is engaged in a war of words with The Rock over the Television champion, which saw them meet at Starrcade and Rock walked away with the title.

On Up and Coming, Finn Balor is now the current No Limits (x division) champion and has decided to hold the championship instead of cash it in.

 18. If a promotion owned by a Media Group goes into debt, is it possible to still buy them out? EDIT: Found out the answer.
 19. I'm wondering what the Cult requirements are for each country OTHER than USA. I'm a National promotion who needs to be Cult in 3 other game areas, and I believe I have met that, but I want to make sure.
 20.
BCW, one of my dev companies in MA, just teamed up Bobby Roode and AJ Styles as....(drumroll)...The Machine Guns.

Now I want to bring them up to the main card and have them have a war with the Motor City Machine Guns before becoming a stable. Just have to wait a few more years for Shelley and Sabin to debut.

 21.
Damn it Heyman! It's like you don't want ECW to succeed at National. I'm not allowed to hire anyone that works for Cult or above.

There goes hiring ANYONE from WCW, WWF, AJPW, or NJPW when their contracts come up.

 22. Started a new game with the MA mod, and a month in Raven has died at 33 from a Kenny Death and Scott Steiner can't pois on any minds for at least 3 years as he's now in jail.
 23.
I have successfully won a bidding war for Randy Savage in 1993 as ECW.

a little history, playing Risky Business, I simmed to Jan 92 and ECWs open and took them over as a new player, Paul Heyman. I decided that I wanted to not have to worry about money so I cheated and gave myself unlimited cash. with that, I created the ECW Network, the biggest network of all time and slowly began my domination. By December of 92 I was a regional promotion and number 1 in the world, ahead of a national WWF, AJPW, NJPW and a Cult JCP and JPUK.

1 year and a week after inception, ECW went cult, and signed the roster to written deals, and then Savages contract came up. Entered into a bidding war with WWF, JCP, AJPW and NJPW and beat them all. The only product change I have made is bumping Modern to Heavy.

Life is good in the Land of Misfit Toys.
