Hi. I know I've been around so long that I should know this but lol I guess I'm a fool. I wrote a personal thread over a decade ago and I went back to find it now in 2020 and I would really like to delete it but for the life of me I cant seem to figure out how. Can someone help?

Funny to see this seeing as I went above and beyond to acquire the greatest boxing game ever just this week. Well you will need a region free PS2. So a modded PS2 or a Japanese PS2. I highly suggest getting a modded PS2 though. I'll tell you, slot has changed. When I was 14 years old here in NYC I'd take my console down to Chinatown and they had 3 different video game stores all on Elizabeth street. Two were small little places within an indoor two floor mall. These gaming places were flanked by all kinds of places. Alot of places specialized in imported VHS. Sometimes NJPW and AJPW VHS but more so anime. This was before Dragon Ball had a US show. Crazy and fun times. I'd go there any time a new Fire Pro Wrestling came out. I can still remember perfectly buying my first ever fire pro game down there. It was 6 man scramble. Anyway out of the mall this much bigger store called J and L gaming and they had everything and even old consoles and games and rare stuff and I'd go up to the counter and ask them to mod my console to be region free and it seemed like this secret operation LOL. Well now you just go to Ebay. I still have my first gen PS2 fat body with the mod chip for region free. Somehow it still works but just barely. So I bought a modded PS2 and its insane. 100s of games from all kinds of consoles and arcades loaded you dont need any disc to play. Insane amounts of memory. Incredible. So I cant recommend it enough. When you get the region free PS2 you them pick up Victorious Boxers 2 Victorious Road. Its very important you get the Japanese Victorious Boxers 2 Victorious Road because there are 3 versions of Victorious Boxers 2 a USA an Australian and a Japanese. The USA and Australian DO NOT have the mode that makes it the greatest boxing game of all time. Dont get either of those by mistake. Not to mention the USA and Australian are pretty easy to find. The Japanese not so much. Now Victorious Boxers 2 has this career mode. You design your character head to toe and his fighting style and all that. Listen, you have to manage every aspect of your fighters life. His every day training. His diet. You literally have to deal with his freaking Amino Acid intake !! Seriously! And first you fight amateur until you get your license to be a professional boxer. Now let's say you have picked America as where your character is from (you can pick America, UK, Korea, Thailand and japan maybe somewhere else too and after you pick the country you pick which gym to join which also will determine which city your from. So if you're from the USA for instance, any of you familiar with boxing as serious fans, you should know about the regional titles the NABA the NABO the NABF. You start of course 0-0 after you turn pro. You can basically video scout potential opponents and see their actual fight with whomever in the boxing world they fought. Eventually you will crack the top 20 of one of the sanctioning bodies, now as far as I went I actually never did challenge for any of the regional titles because as I came closer to the top of those rankings I cracked into one of the primary international sanctioning bodies, the WBA, WBC, IBF or WBO. Yes you can unify the titles. Some of those organizations even have a "super championship" which is awarded to you when you have basically if you're a dominant champion who successfully defends his titles you will be awarded the super championship. You can of course via dieting go up and down weight classes. Also when you begin you have to decide which year your career starts and this is cool because in the game you will face some guys based on real people if you're active when they were. I cant remember all of them. I know for sure theres a Muhammad Ali. I think Tyson. Larry Holmes. There are a bunch. Jack Dempsey. And of course you watch their careers go up and down too and at different weight classes you will see Sugar Ray Robinson, Hagler, Hearns lots of guys and also fictional guys from punch out appear. Vodka Drunkenski aka Soda Popinski. Super Macho Man. Mr. Sandman and more. It's cool too because before every title fight the champion and challengers national anthem plays while the camera focuses on the country flag and you. And there's an insane number of countries represented. Your choices are limited but the countries are in the game anyway. And I think you can pick them for created fighters outside of career mode because yes there are a bunch of other modes. Now this career mode is awesome and incredible but its one mode of several. On the other hand there is a Japanese PS1 game called Boxers Road which is alot older than Victorious Boxers 2 (1995 I think) but its hyper focused on the career mode which is like the VB2 one but on steroids to a degree. You do need a PS1 memory card if you get a modded PS2 and intend to play Boxers road. But the ultimate boxing game and from what I can see the favorite of the hybrid man who is one part boxing fanatic one part gamer psycho has got to be the sequel to Boxers Road, "Boxers Road 2: The Real". This is believe it or not a PSP game BUT ALL PSP games are region free ALL. The movies they make for PSP are not but all games are so it doesnt matter if you have a UK PSP USA PSP or Japanese PSP. So if Boxers Road 1 was VB2 career mode on steroids then Boxers Road 2 is like that except on Bane level steroids or Captain America super soldier serum levels. Now you may think to yourself it sounds all good but you cant read Katakana, Kanji etc. etc. Well friends that too is ok because the majority of these games were made in English for whatever reason. Much of the menus and everything are in English. What parts are not are very easy to navigate with basic common sense and the very few times there are legit hold ups due to alphabetical barriers there are tons of resources online to help you. If you deep dive into it you'll likely find people have uploaded pre made diets and training routines for specialized fighters (outside boxer, counter puncher, KO artist, super heavyweight (or as they were called in Primo Carneras day, Super Dreadnought class [yes they classified bigger than average heavyweights with the same word used to describe a ,massive battle ship and there was even briefly a super dreadnought title. I even created one in a previous TEW game lol.] and so many other types.) I mean its not such a big issue as it used to be So I cant recommend those games enough. Yes you will have to hop skip and jump to make it happen but its definitely worth it. There are small communities dedicated to the games, places folks are willing to help out. If you look into the games I do believe you will consistently see people saying "greatest boxing game ever." Out of the Park Developments Title Bout Boxing... I mean I dont know that it's really so much a game as it is more a pure simulator. The community has been dead for a long time. The original creators I dont think are involved any more, there is a guy who bought the IP and the thing with TBB is they said for decades they would have a RPG style career mode and they talked about a TBB v 3 but the forum is a no mans land. Some time ago the new owner went to defend the game and the plans of a career mode and talked about how he loved the game and why he bought the IP but that was a while ago and the main page I think its last update was like 2014. Idk but unless you're a true boxing lunatic like me who would take entertainment value out of pure simulation extremely pure simulation I dont know if its everyones cup of tea. There is a game out there also that you can get on steam I believe it's called Universal Boxing Manager. The game had incredible promise. It was coming from german developers. Unfortunately they abandoned the project after putting alot of work in. They wound up bringing it up to a point that is just playable but you can see they left so much on the table. Still it can be fun. Anyway I hope to hear at least someone took my advice and got one of the games and let's me know what they think

The obvious huge one is how Bigger Dan Ewe went from musclebound orange mohawked somewhat neanderthal looking madman of the ring (who I spent so much time playing as in the original WreSpi) to a bland "meh" sellout.

First of all I am shocked to read the statement by Genadi. Those of us who have been (at times more active than not) here for 15 years plus are of course familiar with the regulars. It makes me sad to think those two points you raised would cause you to pass on 15 years of community, continuity and dedication. Are they truly such dealbreakers or was it a case of your concerns really coming to a boil with you? I hope your concerns can be addressed where they can be, but if they cant, and I have seen that the UI is a major gripe for many but it appears that it cannot be undone (dont kill me folks, maybe I'm mistaken but I think i read that Adam said it's not possible/realistic. I dont want to misquote him though so if I'm wrong it's on me and I apologize.) I hope you will continue on Genadi you are a true GDS superstar. Now. Comedy matches. My God. I hate comedy matches but whatever this isnt about personal preferences I guess. I cant believe the business has evolved to this where were debating comedy matches here but it is what it is. Well let me ask. Dont you guys think that the comedy of comedy matches are rated and reviewed on just how funny they are? For example when someone throws an invisible grenade isnt the crowd reaction based on the supposed hilarity of the spot as opposed to how well the guys are selling this..... "move" so to speak? Idk I think TEW is a pro wrestling simulator, rating pro wrestling booking... unless you add categories specifically to rate comedy and workers abilities to be funny (I e. Goldberg wearing a wig was supposed to, I THINK, be funny but it has become one of the most infamous things in wrestling) execute funny effectively.... a demographics receptiveness to funniness.... that is also era sensitive... its alot of additional stuff and I dont know that comedy is such an important thing that it's worth it this is not a stand up simulator. I dont know. I guess I'm out of touch

If I can be selfish though... this is really silly perhaps but it occurred to me some time ago.. well I am not exactly sure which TEW it was, but in one of the TEW games where the in game websites are concerned there would be the little tidbits and they would end with "so and so forum member had this to say" and the "so and so" in question was a username belonging to an actual active and well known legitimate GDS forum member in ghost days. I was really honored to have been one of those people and always found it cool to see the name "Ramaeno" pop up when I played. But that little touch of awesomeness went out the window when I changed the name. So it's nice to have that novelty back now.</p><p> </p><p> I am very flattered midnightnick that you remember that I wrote diaries some time ago. It was alot of fun and I remember when the community really got behind the Jim Force character. That lead to alot of comedy I'm sure you long time users remember. </p><p> </p><p> Well guys thanks for responding to my post and thank you to whomever it was specifically that was kind enough to make the change back for me. Hello. I hope anyone reading this post here is doing well and staying safe during these trying, difficult, scary and unprecedented times. I know we all have so much going on so what I am here to ask about is a bit trivial I nevertheless hope it's not too terribly annoying. Well this is a bit embarrassing as well as I am looking to hopefully undo something I had asked to have done quite a few years ago now. Well when I originally signed up my username was Ramaeno and I was very active at times. My life took some incredible and unbelievable twists and turns the likes of which would maybe make for a good movie LOL but no matter what happened I would always now and then pay attention to the happenings of GDS and TEW specifically. And of course I've been a loyal, paying customer, having bought every version of TEW ever made and some versions of WreSpi and WMMA. At some stage I wanted badly to change my username to what it is now. I regret this and am here looking to go back to my original username if it is, I do hope, possible. I'm sorry to be a nuisance and make a trivial request but I have been eagerly observing the forum and watching the developers journal for the upcoming TEW 2020 and as such with its release nearing I am hoping to once again become an active part of the community. If someone would kindly direct me to whatever course I would need to take for my perhaps annoying and presumptuous request to be taken care of I would really appreciate it. I'm sorry for any trouble or inconvenience I may cause anyone. I hope you all stay safe and healthy and I send my best regards and wishes to Adam and GDS I know TEW 2020 will be a huge success and it has been by far and away my favorite game series. Hey, I know this isn't a request thread. I'm not making a request but I wanted to ask/make a statement. There's an interesting C-Verse character who isn't really a C-Verse character. The only one of it's kind as far as I can see and unless I missed it in the old thread I haven't seen the character touched. That being said, yeah, have a look at TEW2010 I think his pic is in the default pic folder, if not, Im pretty sure its in 07 or 08 and or WreSpi. PJ Strong. I'm gonna start a new dynasty with him as my avatar actually but yeah, was thinking this unique character out to get a make offer, not to mention probably agers as well since he looks 9 years old. Adam did comment on him personally. He said that PJ is Sam Strongs kid but that he was too young to be in the game (at the time I think the game was 07.)

Hey Petecrimson I appreciate that. It's definitely usable though! So thanks to you I can move forward with the game, lol. I do hope someone finds the time if they would, to do a full on render if possible but thanks to you atleast I can use it and I actually think its quite good. I was considering turning the image black and white, but, that would just be awkward I think if his pic was black and white and everyone else wasn't. I'd done it before for one fed and it took awhile. Anyway, thanks again. OH, also, I found out that there were a couple of cool Tiger Mask type masks in the default pic folder for random characters, however, the people wearing them wouldn't pass for Alexander and the mask colors are different. AH, I think I should say that I am not a big fan of Clark Alexander at all, to be honest, in TEW 2010 I used TCW alot and would job him into oblivion but given the current dynamic of my situation with my fed in 2K13, he is the best person for the role I need... I mean, if Gino Montero were available then Id definitely prefer him but seeing as my fed isn't in a position to convince foreigners into the territory, I'm stuck with whose available. Cheers!

I suppose if it were really impossible to do the request, then, if someone could adjust of those bottom pics, if the mask could be made black with silver patterns and the worker given tanner skin, if all else fails perhaps those kind of adjustments could work... thanks again guys

OK this is a SUPER HUGE REQUEST in that it is like a critical request for plans in game and so im really hoping someone can help!! WORKER: Clark Alexander - I believe this version of Clark was done by J. Silver as I found these in the 2K10 re-render thread. I definitely could think of better candidates for the character (Gino Montero, for starters) but my promotion doesnt have tons of money and I cannot hire workers who don't work in my game area....Personally, I like Black Tiger 7's mask the best, his or Black Tiger 4, although obviously Guerrero is legendery and some would say the first was the best.
