  1. As per the faq (http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=544966) in the technical support forum you most likely have some sort of display scaling set.

    Right click on your Desktop -> Properties -> Settings, and click Advanced. You will see a place to set your DPI, make sure it is 96.

     

    On Windows 10 right click on you desktop and click "display settings". Then see what it says under scale and layout (100% scaling is 96 dpi). The resolution does not matter as long as it is bigger than the apps resolution of 1366×768.

     

    If that does not work you should create a thread in the technical support forum.

  2. Similar to what I did for WMMA5 I plan on making all the pictures that are currently assigned to characters in the default TEW2020 database available as free pictures which can be imported into other mods. This is primarily for use in organic mods like I Effin Rule's Effganic Mod.

     

    I currently do not have a time frame for this although since I want to start my own Effganic game, I will be starting on it this week. There are a lot more workers in TEW than WMMA so it will take longer.

    Imagine if all those said "Match Requirement: Wild Brawl", "Deathmatches will be severely penalized", "Fans will expect storylines", etc.

     

    Well your idea looks simpler than what I was going to suggest. I was thinking of a system similar to the attribute system for workers. Each attribute would be classified (ie generic, hardcore, comedy, risque, etc.). Basically the reason for classification is so that the game can tell what style the product is so it can be affected by industry trends.

     

    I was also thinking about how changing products could work with this system. Say maybe you could add one attribute and remove one without it having much of an affect on your attendance for the cool-down period. The amount of changes could potentially be unlimited but the more you change the more effect it will have on your popularity and attendance.

     

    Anyway I haven't really fleshed this out yet as I was just brainstorming.

  5. Organic mods, for example, are now going to kill my computer because I can't set the amount of workers that will debut in my game world without doing extensive database editing.

     

    The new dojo system overall is a really cool addition, but if it meant losing that extra bit of control, I don't think it's that worth it.

     

    While agree there should be an option to turn off random gens, I'd argue that the new training center system opens up some possibilities. If I'm not mistaken, in past games the amount of workers generated was a global setting and applied across all active game areas. With the new system I can set set things up asymmetrical (ie if I want many more Canadian workers than the rest of the world I can do that).

     

    Now obviously because new training centers can open up organically (this could also be something that would be nice to have the option to turn on/off) I don't have 100% control but I am intrigued by the possibilities. But yes it will be more work and editing (especially because for organic mods one likely needs the "seed" schools to close at some point to prevent worker bloat...and as far as I've seen there are no narrative's that could change the number of graduates a school produces).

     

    Anyway just my 2 cents.

  6. I often wonder why they stopped making NCAA Football and Basketball games. They were often better than the pro versions. Well, anything is better than Madden, I don't remember the last time a good Madden game came out. Maybe in like 2003 or so.

  9. Additionally I can put close dates on these generic training facilities. So that is an option.

     

    This is something I think you will need to look into. According to the handbook, wrestlers can form schools when they retire which stay active until they die or leave the business. So we really need some long term sim data to get a feel for how often this occurs.

  10. I'll give you 2 examples:

     

    - lets say you have 2 popular workers that put on a dud of a match. Then the final segment grade will be 40% of the rating of the in-ring action plus 60% of the workers popularity because this would result in a higher final grade.

    - now flip it...two unpopular wrestlers put on a sensational match. Then the final segment grade would be 60% of the rating of the in-ring action plus 40% of the workers popularity as this would result in a higher final grade.

     

    At least that's how I interpret it.

     

    Edit: trust someone to beat me to it and explain it better, lol.

  11. BTW: Are you still doing renders VBigV? I'd love to see some rerenders of some of the C-verse women. But judging from the WWE screens, you might like RW more. :p

     

    I do want to get back into doing more renders at some point but I'm not sure when I'll have time to start. I got a new beast of a PC in November after my old one had a hard drive failure (it was time...it was getting pretty long in the tooth). I do have Daz set up but don't have everything moved over yet.

     

    Nope I'm not a real world person. In TEW2016 I strictly played CV, CV97 and Thundervers.

    - the top left corner and the 1 pixel black border I left opaque to keep it matched with the default side and top bars of the rest of the interface.

    - the big bars (black & gold) and the white elements are at 50% opacity.

    - the background in the boxes is at 25% opacity

  13. I'm not really motivated to make some this time around. It would be better if the stat boxes were below the bio box, so a part of the background would be totally visible. Maybe 50% opacity would be an option?

     

    But it still looks ok I guess. Definitely prefer the full opacity. The other version looks especially awkward with your example pic. :p

     

    Yeah I hear you. Everything centered works great for generic backgrounds but not for people. Even something like I've mocked up below would be better for anything more complex. I did shrink the long gold bar and the long black bar so I have have no idea if it would work in the context of the game. Ideally it would be nice to have 50% of the screen clear.

  14. There is one big thing though, and it is one that I won't fully be able to test until the full release comes out: Worker Generation. This is now tied mostly to training facilities, as I understand. This means that most (if not all) new workers will come from training and not full random generation. I already had a few training facilities in the game to mimic boxing, wrestling, etc, but had to crank them all the way up just to have them pump out 12 workers a year. This means I'm going to need a new solution for worker generation and I am hoping some of you may have some ideas. The first that comes to mind is just create a ton of generic facilities for each region to keep the numbers up. Would you all be ok with their bio reading "graduate of Generic US Wrestling School #1" or do you have any better ideas?

     

    Okay I was really wondering how worker generation works now so this is good information.
