  1. That is my point. No one else seemed to get as many chances to get where Orton is now. Also I never said he wasn't talented.
  2. I am not a Cena fan, but I don't think it is fair to put Cena and Orton together. Cena is someone who caught on with the fans and that is what lead to him being where he is. Though once he got there they changed his character quite a bit, which is something I understand to some extent (though not as far as they went). In the end what matter is the fans pushed Cena to the main event. Orton on the other hand has been pushed constantly to be a maineventer staring in like 2002. I really do think a lot of people given the same consent pushes that Orton has gotten over the last 9 years would have been just as big as Orton is now, except it would of happened a lot earlier.
  3. ROH had a different mindset, booker, and ownership then. Plus it was one of the worst reigns in ROH history (though not as bad as Xavier’s). It just seems to me that his name value isn’t enough to make signing him a logical move. I mean sure he is a good wrestler, but why bother with a 40 year old good wrestler when you have a dozen in their 20s and 30s already with the company. It would be a different story though if ROH were making a push for Mexico.
  4. Years ago I had a friend tell me about this movie called The Blair Witch Project and how great it was. So I went and saw it. I never listened to another movie suggestion from him again. The moral of the story is once someone tells you something that is blatantly wrong on insane you don’t listen to him or her the next time they tell you the same thing. This is not a comment on the quality of TNA or my opinion on TNA, just about how that circle only can happen to a crazy person who learns nothing from the past.
  5. My favorite World War 3 moments are both Nash related. The first is in 1997 when he came down from the rafters dressed as Sting. The second is in 1998 when he stops every one in the ring and gets them to throw out the Giant.
  6. Good answer. An injured Morrison returns to seek vengeance on the man who took him out of action. It also sets up the upper face camp for ADR. I just wasn't thinking. Though I still don’t see it happening.
  7. The problem I have with that is a transition to who? If we still had Miz as a champion I could see giving the title to an upper face to pass the title to ADR, but who would an upper heel be passing the title to?
  8. Anyone who says they have never felt good over someone else’s failures or miseries is full of it. Sure it isn’t something to be proud of, but it isn’t something to be ashamed of either. It is just part of being human. Also it is a very poor argument when the person you are defending does the same thing. People hate me, but who cares they are poor and less then me because I am rich and famous. In the end he may not be a bad person, but he sure is an idiot.
  9. Looking at what they actually have in stock I would go with Glory By Honor VIII & IX. 8 has Nigel's and Danielson's last match and a ladder war so he should like it. 9 is a great show that represents current ROH very well.
  10. I hope the talk of doing more house shows in the markets the show is being shown means ROH comes back to the Twin Cities (last time was 2007).
  11. I am happy, as I know they own the local CW station in Minneapolis. Plus some higher production values in ROH sounds quite nice.
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Unregistered" data-cite="Unregistered" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>And now I'm thinking of Piper in a Zombie movie. They live was amazing, so Piper in a Romero film.... zomg. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I love Romero. Dawn of the Dead has been one of my 2 favorite movies for 18 years now, but his last 2 zombie movies sucked. How the man who made a film as intelligent as Dawn made a film as dumb as Survival is still beyond me.</p><p> </p><p> They Live still has the greatest fight scene of all time. Made even better as it is all about putting on a pair of sunglasses.</p>
  13. I hated the remakes of Halloween with a passion as they go to show Zombie has no idea to do suspense or horror movies for that matter. I thought the background was just weak and if anything turned one of the most stone cold killers in movie history into nothing more then a big dumb kid with a bad childhood. Also if you are going to try and add depth why turn him into nothing more then a Jason clone. Plus how the hell did he get so muscular? All he ever did was make masks. It was better when he was just a kind of tall guy. The only way Halloween could have been a good movie would have been if Joe Grizzly would have killed MM and the movie would have turned into a picture about a bad ass trucker. Though to be fair I hate Rob Zombie movies other then the Devils Rejects as I don't think he knows how to make horror movies (Devil Rejects is not a horror movie).
  14. I thought having the last 3 matches back to back like they did was a mistake. Make either Davey Strong or WGTT Kings the last match before intermission and move something like the womans tag to after intermission. I think it would have given the show a little better flow.
  15. If someone put a gun to my head and pick the guy currently on the indies who will make it big one day in the WWE my choice would have to be Kenny King. He may not be the best at anything, but he has the look more then anyone and is good and has only gotten better at everything over the last few years. He will be a huge star one day.
  16. The name change doesn’t bother me at all. It seems kind of logical. As a company they are expanding from just wrestling to more general entertainment. It started with wrestlers writing books and staring in movies and is now shifting to them producing works (at least movies) under WWE Films that has no wrestler involvement. It would be like if a company existed that made just TV shows under the name General TV decided to start making movies too and changed it’s name to General Entertainment it just adds up. What will be interesting to see is if we end up with something like World Wrestling Entertainment a subdivision of WWE.
  17. If true TNA better bay for his rehab or it will just make them lost worst, even more so if the WWE pays for it. You would have one company trying to help a former employee and another taking advantage of an employees situation (even if the employee is the one to blame). It sounds like some bad PR to me.
  18. I am thinking about it, though I will not be able to watch them live it would be a nice thing for me to watch Monday and Tuesday. Edit: and now I have bought it.
  19. When someone says if I don't win I will quit you give them a title match no matter what their current record is, that is part of wrestling 101.
  20. I was never huge on the Hardys though at different time I was almost a fan of them. Seeing them now makes me a tad uncomfortable. I can’t see them without thinking they have lost their minds and that wrestling is somewhat to blame. Almost makes me feel a little guilty as a fan of wrestling. That being said the Hardys vs the Young Bucks is one of the few things I would actually still like to see the Hardys due (along with Hardys vs. MCMG once Shelly comes back).
  21. I don't think it would be that hard. You just need a month of HHH talking about his past and how what Sheamus did is something he would have done in the past. Throw in Sheamus doubting it for a bit and the crowed always wondering if this is the day HHH turns on him and it seems like an easy storyline to write.
  22. Anything that gets Gina back on TV is a good thing. Something about how cute she looks yet knowing she could beat me up if she wanted to. Which is weird because I am in no way one of them pain is pleasure people.
