  1. <p><em>One of the nice things about work from home is logging out on break, turning right and having TEW there.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>CZCW 4 - Dark Wave</strong></p><p> </p><p> So yes, the hidden pre show workers were Fuyuko Higa, Acid and Acid II. Acid and Acid II will be teaming as Acid Wave and the trio together are the Dark Wave. I think it fits with Higa's new render (Which I LOVE) and the Coastal Zone theme. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="1XOnZYX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1XOnZYX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Also yes, it's a spooky themed stable with lights out teleportation. I am a simple man who knows what he likes. </p><p> </p><p> Acid is professional and has the passes on knowledge attribute. He has some pop, with 32 in the South West and some decent skills too. High psych means he might be a road agent when he retires which would be nice (He's 42 so who knows when he might retire). He only wanted $220 a show.</p><p> </p><p> Acid II was an obvious choice. Decent stats but no overness means he is a cheap $30 a show. The big selling point is that Acid is Acid II's mentor (naturally) and with the passes on knowledge attribute he is helping Acid II grow a fair bit.</p><p> </p><p> Fuyuko Higa was a must hire. I'm not sure if contracts work the same way when you are reading this, but her small American pop meant I got her for $30 a show. 92 star quality, high 80s technical, 80s psychology, 90s consistency, stamina and resilience. Speaks fluent English too. No brainer.</p><p> </p><p> For the pre show I ended up with Al Coleman again. I keep getting to the end of the show and realizing I had not used him. Oops.</p><p> </p><p> The show starts with Joanne Rodriguez giving updates on Cougar and Flash. Both are injured, but CZCW loyalists Going Coastal want a crack at the Dark Wave.</p><p> </p><p> This leads right into Acid Wave vs Going Coastal. The main point of this Coast 2 Coast was to really establish the Dark Wave as a threat, so the rating here didn't matter as much. Same with the next match of Higa vs Waylon Walls. </p><p> </p><p> In a pre-taped segment J-Ro narrates highlights of the first two Perez/Rodriguez matches and announces Perez/Rodriguez 3 for Vendetta as a title unification match!</p><p> </p><p> To hype for that match we then have Frankie and the Cobras face Pablo and Notorious. The match rules, but looking back I should have kept the CZCW and COTT champs on the same side. Oh well.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Coast 2 Coast</span></p><p> Monday Week 3, January 2020</p><p> Oakland, CA (405 people)</p><p> </p><p> Al Coleman and the Wild Cats defeated Matt Sparrow, Amy St. James and Onslaught on the Pre Show - 49</p><p> J-Ro gives injury update and books tag match - 55</p><p> Acid Wave defeated Going Coastal - 44</p><p> Fuyuko Higa defeated Waylon Walls - 54</p><p> J-Ro announces Perez/Rodriguez 3 - 71</p><p> Frankie Perez and the American Cobras defeated Pablo Rodriguez and Notorious - 67</p><p> </p><p> OVERALL........59</p>
  2. This is phenomenal. I'd point any new player to this thread if they wanted to see what playing TEW is like.
  3. Very interesting premise, always enjoyed the WttCZ threads.
  4. Thanks Reaper, it's super easy to write too! Aw Morti I'm blushing! Quick aside, the reason the CZCW stuff doesn't have much in the way of images is I had already played through to the end of the demo when I decided to do this dynasty. CZCW 3 - The Big Surprise Normally I would book the Zone more as a regional company focusing on either big matches for the events or building pop in new regions with my sub events. This save with a broadcaster and with Coast 2 Coast I felt as if I could do more standard storytelling inside the CZCW framework. This show was really the first step towards getting to that point. Pre show featured some of our younger talent letting us down and Al Coleman and the Cobras showing just how good they are by carrying Chet Chavez and Gangster Nation (Bullseye and Waylon Walls) I started the show off with the big surprise. We had Joanne Rodriguez return to the Coastal Zone to be the on-screen authority figure for CZCW. J-Ro is a people person, positive outlook and over as all get out for a company the size of CZCW. Plus she only wants $400 a show! Easy decision there. J-Ro came out, introduced herself as authority and said she was impressed by Masked Cougar and American Flash. Even though Cougar did not win, he had just hit I Am Cougar on Coleman and J-Ro explains she booked Cougar vs Flash as tonight's main event. If Cougar wins he will be added to the CZCW title match! From there I wanted to test out Simon Waves again, this time against Cali Love Machine and Heartbreaker in a triple threat. No one here blew me away. Next I wanted to try out some more of the insignificants as Pablo Rodriguez, Ellie de Grazia and Air Raid Syren faced Frankie Perez and the California Dreams. Honestly P-Dawg and Pablo carried this. The insignificants have a long way to go. The main event at least delivered. It did show that Flash and Cougar are a step below Pablo and Frankie right now in terms of ratings however they can still easily main event a Coast 2 Coast. After the match I ran another angle, with J-Ro coming out to put over both athletes. She raises Flash's hand and Flash and Flash and Cougar shake hands. As they are shaking hands the lights go out and when they come back Acid and Acid II are in the ring. The two lay waste to Cougar and Flash, decimating them and tossing them aside. The lights go out again and evil laughter fills the auditorium. When the lights come back on Fuyuko Higa is in the ring and hits a Higa Green Driver of J-Ro! The trio pose to end Coast 2 Coast. CZCW Coast 2 Coast Monday Week 2, January 2020 Stockton, CA (403 people) Hugh de Aske and Juliet Balconi defeated Jack Avatar and Tony DeWonderful on the Pre Show - 39 Al Coleman and the American Cobras defeated Chet Chavez and Gangster Nation on the Pre Show - 53 J-Ro is the big surprise - 74 Heartbreaker defeated California Love Machine and Simon Waves - 44 Frankie Perez and the California Dreams defeated Pablo Rodriguez, Ellie de Grazia and Air Raid Syren - 49 American Flash defeated Masked Cougar - 60 Higa, Acid and Acid II debut to destroy J-Ro, Flash and Cougar - 41 OVERALL........54
  5. <p><em>Thanks Foolinc, I haven't had a chance to read any of the 2020 dynasties yet as I have either been working, sleeping or playing the game myself but yours is earmarked for sure.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>CZCW 2 - Revolution 2020</strong></p><p> </p><p> What do you mean CZCW's first PPV is the first Saturday of the year!?!</p><p> </p><p> Yeah, I somehow always get caught by surprise with Revolution. Maybe I am used to playing as some other companies that have later in the month events? Whatever the reason I had little to no plans for what to run at this event. Looks like we're winging it, the ol' 2k special.</p><p> </p><p> In the pre show a couple of new hires defeated the California Dreams (Kira Lee and Skye Hermosa) as I tested for tag chemestry and another new hire defeated Jonnie Perez. </p><p> </p><p> The American Cobras were a team that I used in almost every single 2016 CornellVerse game. They are that good. Seeing them holding the COTT World Tag belts is a huge relief because they are in CZCW and as such over in CA. I put them against the Wild Cats, mainly to see how good the Cats are in 2020. Turns out, pretty good!</p><p> </p><p> Moved right on to another Xtreme title match and this one required some thought. In the end I chose Frankie-Boy Fernandes to face de Aske. de Aske begins as insignificant so I cannot put another insignificant worker against him and I believe FBF had very warm momentum. I equated that to him winning a #1 contenders match at the December event and booked the match. I did steal the show again, but decided to only give them ten minutes.</p><p> </p><p> Keeping the title matches going I had Notorious face the Beach Boys with the CZCW tag titles on the line. Total throw away, and not diggin the Beach Boys. Speaking of throw aways I needed to fill time so I put here a four way between California Love Machine, Heartbreaker, Malik Cash and Waylon Walls. This was a mistake.</p><p> </p><p> I then booked the only angle of the event (CZCW events don't require angles but I wanted this one). The angle teased a BIG SURPRISE at the next Coast 2 Coast! WHAT COULD IT BE!?</p><p> </p><p> In the semi main I booked Al Coleman, American Flash, Masked Cougar and Matt Sparrow in a CZCW #1 contenders match. Honestly anyone here could've won and I would've been fine except for Sparrow who was there to get pinned.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event we ran it back! Pablo Rodriguez vs Frankie Perez, this time for the Coastal Zone Championship. They again blew it out of the water and I knew I would have to run it back a third time at Vendetta. At this time the beta was only two months long, so I felt like having the same main event for both events seemed fitting. Wanted to see if I could improve it.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Revolution</span></p><p> Saturday, Week 1, January 2020</p><p> Grissom Auditorium (1619 people)</p><p> </p><p> Hidden and Hidden defeated The California Dreams on the Pre Show - 47</p><p> Hidden defeated Jonnie Perez on the Pre Show - 64</p><p> The American Cobras defeated the Wild Cats to retain the COTT World Tag Team Championships - 68</p><p> Hugh de Aske defeated Frankie-Boy Fernandes to retain the Coastal Zone Xtreme Championship - 68</p><p> Notorious defeated the Beach Boys to retain the Coastal Zone Tag Team Championships - 51</p><p> California Love Machine defeated Heartbreaker, Malik Cash and Waylon Walls - 43</p><p> Major surprise announcement next C2C - 67</p><p> American Flash defeated Masked Cougar, Al Coleman and Matt Sparrow - 69</p><p> Frankie Perez defeated Pablo Rodriguez to retain the Coastal Zone Championship - 73</p><p> </p><p> OVERALL.......66</p>
  6. CZCW 1 - The CZCW Network So after playing a few test runs and doing some mod work my first serious game was with Coastal Zone Championship Wrestling. The Zone is usually a great beginning company when trying to get your bearings with any new CornellVerse and this years is no different. I began playing as Jack Avatar, because I was lazy and didn't really feel like having an interesting user character. Same with using 'Jack of All Trades' for user talents. One of the things I was very interested in this game was the idea of smaller companies getting their own broadcaster. For $52,500 of my starting $120,000 I started the CZCW Network as tiny across America to help build the Zone Brand. I also began looking for some new talent to help make the Zone my own. I put my events on the CZCW Network but I also put the television show Coast 2 Coast on the Network as well. What I did not realize is that Coast to Coast is on a Monday. Whoops. I decided to make the 'debut episode' of Coast 2 Coast feel like a big deal. I grabbed the COTT title for the night and started to look at my talent. I figured the best way to start the show would be a 15 minute Steal the Show match for the Xtreme title. Hugh de Aske was always a good hand for me in 2016 so I was glad to see he was holding the title. El Jaguar is another name I had a lot of success with in 2016, so I put those two together. After that I had Fox Mask get up from the booth and cut a promo. In my mind having Fox Mask cut the 'Welcome to the Coast Zone" promo was important, especially if done after a banger of a match. He basically represents the company and having him on the first show was a must. Next we had a triple threat of 'workers I wanted to see'. Tigre Savage was a wildcard, American Flash has the 'In fine form' attribute and Kira Lee is the prodigy of Joanne Rodriguez. The three put in a decent, if unremarkable match. Honestly the biggest take away was how far above the other two American Flash is. Around now I realized that I had not booked Masked Cougar. Like...at all. I popped a quick video in hyping that Masked Cougar would be in action at Revolution. After that I had Frankie Perez come out and cut a 5 minute promo on Pablo Rodriguez. In my head he puts over Pablo and the COTT title, saying that holding the CZCW and COTT titles at the same time would be huge for his legacy. So our main event. Pablo Rodriguez, former booker of EILL/SOTBPW (the biggest company in Mexico and a former monster of a company) vs Frankie Perez, the CZCW faithful. I give them 20 to close out the show and they do not disappoint! Far better than I was expecting to start off with! CZCW Coast to Coast Saturday Week 1, January 2020 Los Angeles, CA (389 people) Hugh de Aske defeated El Jaguar to retain the CZCW Extreme Championship - 50 Fox Mask welcomes Network Subscribers - 49 American Flash defeated Tigre Savage Jr and Kira Lee - 53 Masked Cougar hype video - 45 Frankie Perez promo - 55 Pablo Rodriguez defeated Frankie Perez to retain the COTT World Heavyweight Championship - 72 OVERALL.......58 I'll take it for sure!

  8. Hello! My name is Nikk, you may know me as Astil from here or 2k on letsplaytew on YouTube and Twitch. With my current inability to stream I've decided to go ahead and boot up a dynasty to scratch that sharing itch. This will be a little different than a lot of the other dynasties I've read and enjoyed on the forum. I will be writing this as myself, no character work roleplaying as the booker. I'll add in some screenshots as I go along. I'll also probably be bouncing between a few save games. To really get a true experience of TEW 2020 (and 2016) I wanted to try a few different things. Also, I mean, the true TEW experience for me is jumping between saves to keep things fresh! Right now on the docket we have CZCW, a RTG save in the CVerse and a save playing as the 8 major companies in the CVerse. I'll try to keep things organized here on the front page, so come back here for a table of contents of sorts. The rest I'll figure out as I go. Thanks for hanging out and enjoy the content.
  9. So I had a thought. Can a 'Sandbox' style product be added? No bonuses or penalties. At all. The user can book literally whatever. If the AI takes over this product it could revert to no product product or classic balanced. This could allow for a solution to those who want to book a very specific way while still allowing the powerful product system to impact AI.
  10. Attributes play a role in this too. A driven or egomaniac owner is less likely to give up the book.
  11. Iron Clad does not prevent workers being poached. I have seen in multiple tests this to be the case sadly. To be clear I tried making workers Written non Exclusive with Iron Clad. These workers got poached.
  12. This does not work. If offered an exclusive gig he will still take it.
  13. Would love to see a split in attitude era, with the way it is in game now label crash tv (or something similar) and a more long-segment friendly attitude era also available.
  14. I thought SWF being in decline is mentioned in there bio? A rough few years capped by the owner being run off. I think SWF being hard is pretty spelt out. They have tons of young talent to make up for it though so its not all bad.
  15. +1 from me as well, only way it could be improved is if it auto saved, but that's more a user end problem lol
  16. I think it would be more user friendly if the level of variance could be set in the new game screen where you select game areas. As it currently is I fear most users don't even know the feature exists as it is buried in the editor.
  17. <p>For the AI booking mentioned: <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2367796#post2367796" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2367796#post2367796</a></p><p> </p><p> Can that be set in the editor?</p>
  18. So this suggestion is to allow for Survivor Series and Royal Rumble matches in 'Matches that are too long will lose the crowd' products. Make the the max match length per worker over 4 instead of static. So if the 1v1 and 2v2 max 15 maybe add 5 per every 2 workers after 2v2. So a 5v5 Survivor Series is now maxed at 45 minutes and a 30 man rumble is well over the normal 75 minutes.
  19. <p>Hello!</p><p> </p><p> I noticed there is a lack of Cable Commercial broadcasters in the CornellVerse. Is this intentional? It seems like it is shortchanging a cool feature in the Terrestrial/Cable/Internet split. Perhaps some of the smaller Terrestrials (The Pop!, GNN Sports, etc) should be cable?</p>
  20. I love the new booking. Very very streamlined! That bottom bar is SO good. Dont think I can go back to the old 16 ui now that I've gotten to speed with the 2020 bottom bar. The fact that you can have multiple webites is so small but so dope. I want to mess around with the 'age up/down' features more but the rest of the mod suite is really powerful and intuitive.
  21. You can change from Attitude Entertainment to Sports Entertainment to PG SE over time for sure though, yes?
  22. Not sure if this is a bug so I decided to pop this in here: The default angles set the user up for failure. Right now running a post match beatdown will get the angle punished for nothing interesting happening because it's rated on Overness/Overness instead of Fighting/Selling.
  23. <p>If I am misunderstanding I apologize.</p><p> </p><p> I think it'd be cool to be able to have each user choose what they want the default segment length to be. For example at default it is 5 for angles and 15 for matches however I may want to do 20 minutes if playing BHOTWG</p>
  24. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Self" data-cite="Self" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>People stream TEW? Why?<p> </p><p> (I'm really too old for this internet stuff)</p><p> </p><p> Of course Grey Dog want to make a game that allows people to play and develop real world mods. I've always assumed that was 99% the point since the beginning and when 99% of the money comes from, with the C'Verse being a delightful secondary bit of fun with a small following. I don't see how Youtube changes that, unless the revenue streams are that enticing, and find a way to make it back to the company.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Why not? People show up and it's fun. The revenue streams are...non existant basically. So the idea that GDS would market toward such a small percentage of their audience is a touch knee ierk.</p><p> </p><p> Also I truly hope the cverse never goes away. I love it!</p>
