I am off from work tomorrow for the Veterans Day holiday. There’s still one PC I’m waiting on for either training or confirmation that they aren’t training. If I get that notification, the season finale will go up tomorrow, given that everyone’s put predictions in. Otherwise it’ll be a Saturday post as usual.

I know this is a semi-joking post but I’ll give you a short, honest answer now and save more details for the effort posting in the off-season: If a wrestler loses faster than an average match in the division constantly, and takes longer than the average match in said division to win, (s)he won’t be #1. Wins only factor so much before strength of victory/defeat become factors.

Working with an outdated League spreadsheet to figure out the easiest way to present this proposed “power ranking” system and…there are a few surprises in this data so far. I’m still debating on if I want to actually give the formulae out when I actually present this, but other than that…I think there will be some room for discussion during the off-season. (Who needs hot stove baseball when The League exists?) Also, 15 out of 16 matches have been run for the week. The lone holdout is a PC match.

As a collective, the GMPCs of the Alpha Division have decided to let their stats ride and bank the points for end of the season. So GMPC matches (and some PC bouts) start tonight. As usual, predictions first. ALPHA: Mastachas, Nuclear, McDonald, O’Hallister. Mastachas wins the League Championship in the show’s main event after Nuclear puts himself in position in the semi-main. BETA: Blackfield, River, Ouilette, Pulsar. The Frenchman manages to make it to Alpha, where I expect him to pull a Daniel Simmons next season. GAMMA: Priest, Rodriguez, Gibson, Molina. Molina finds a way, and Rose bounces (literally) off of Priest to allow both PCs to make it to Beta. DELTA: Hida*, Heartilly, Nocturne, Delight. The * notes that it’ll take Hida 6 minutes, which clinches the promotion for Dhillon. Nocturne manages to eke out a victory and stay in Delta, while Delight gets a last hurrah before going to Omega and reinventing herself.

CLINCH SIMULATION REPORTING After Season Ten, Week Thirteen: One week remaining POSSIBLE SCENARIOS REMAINING PER DIVISION: 16 ALPHA DIVISION—LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP This is George Mastachas’s championship to lose. He finishes with the bests record in 12 scenarios (4 solo). Of the 8 ties, four of them are a three-way tie which would go to Mastodon. The other ties are against Nuclear, and he holds the tiebreaker there. Any of the top three can leave Week Fourteen as League Champion, it’ll just make more moving parts for some than for others. BY THE NUMBERS: George Mastachas clinches League Championship with: Win. (8 scenarios, 50%) Nuclear Templeton clinches League Championship with: Win (over Mastodon) AND Mastachas Loss (4 scenarios, 25%) The Mastodon clinches League Championship with: Win (over Templeton) AND Mastachas Loss (4 scenarios, 25%) ALPHA DIVISION--RELEGATION Do not be thrown off by the standings. Yes, Reverend Johnny Gross is in seventh place in the standings. Yes, Daniel Simmons can still escape relegation while Gross can not. Yes, De’siree Mitchell can still be relegated. Two people are trying to occupy one spot to avoid dropping to Beta, and the favorite to keep their spot is Mitchell by a three-to-one margin. She just needs to win or avoid tying with Simmons if she does lose, since Simmons wins all of the tiebreakers in this group of three. BY THE NUMBERS: Reverend Johnny Gross: has clinched relegation. Daniel Simmons: Clinches relegation with: Loss OR Mitchell Win (12 scenarios, 75%) De’siree Mitchell: Clinches relegation with: Loss AND Simmons Win (4 scenarios, 25%) BETA DIVISION—PROMOTION TO ALPHA The discussion turns to second place in the division, and who can actually make it there. Four people can at least tie for second, but only two of them have a chance to promote due to tiebreakers—namely, the two men currently on seven wins. Ouilette’s is easier—win and he’s in, or lose and have Yoshii lose as well since Ouilette wins the tiebreaker. If he loses and Nakamatsu wins, Yoshii advances. BY THE NUMBERS: Brian Blackfield clinched Division Championship in Week Twelve Jean-Paul Ouilette clinches promotion with: Win OR Loss + Nakamatsu Loss (12 scenarios, 75%) Yoshii Nakamatsu clinches promotion with: Win AND Ouilette Loss (4 scenarios, 25%) BETA DIVISION--RELEGATION Three people trying to fit into two spaces at the bottom side of the division. While Blood River could also tie at 6-8 to end the season, he is safe from relegation via tiebreakers. Only Billy Norris, Angela Wassermann, and Pulsar are at risk to join Big Scott Weathers in Gamma next season. BY THE NUMBERS: Big Scott Weathers has clinched relegation Pulsar clinches relegation with: Loss (8 scenarios, 50%) Angela Wassermann clinches relegation with: Loss AND Pulsar Win (4 scenarios, 25%) Billy Norris clinches relegation with: Loss AND Wassermann Win (4 scenarios, 25%) GAMMA DIVISION—PROMOTION Once again, Indigo Rose is in control of her own destiny. A win, and she promotes to Beta. Of course, that’s easier said than done as she has the division champion, Christian Priest, across the ring from her. Lucas Molina faces Diamond, whom he lost to earlier this season. A win there, plus a Rose loss, and he backs into the Beta Division via victory time tiebreaker over Rose. Neither match is certain on the outcome despite the pundits’ beliefs, but on paper at least the advantage is with Indigo Rose. BY THE NUMBERS: Christian Priest clinched the Gamma Division title in Week Twelve. Indigo Rose clinches promotion with: Win OR Molina Loss (12 scenarios, 75%) Lucas Molina clinches promotion with: Win AND Rose Loss (4 scenarios, 25%) GAMMA DIVISION--RELEGATION Erick Gibson would win any three-way tie with Markus Clay and Diamond (combined 3-1 head-to-head). He also wins individual tiebreakers over Clay (season sweep) and Diamond (victory time), and so cannot drop to seventh place no matter what the combination of results turns out to be. This side of the division is mostly set, the only question is the finishing order of Diamond and Clay in the relegation spots. This is the easiest division to sort out, for which the author is thankful for the ease of it. BY THE NUMBERS: Diamond and Markus Clay both have clinched relegation. DELTA DIVISION—PROMOTION Monty Dhillon gets the unique honor of not having any sort of odds for his advancement listed. He not only needs to lose to Hida to drop out of the promotion spot, but he also needs to lose in under three minutes and fifty-three seconds. Seems implausible, right? But this is Kichi Hida we’re talking about. You know, the current record holder for fastest match under the Delta Division rules since they were adopted for Season Nine, at three minutes and eighteen seconds. It is entirely possible for her to pull off a blitz win and stun the world. Her best hope though is just to get the win no matter how long it takes and hope that Jun Onoo can stop Lance Heartilly. That combination would get her into Gamma. It’s going to hinge on the Dhillon/Hida match to determine who makes it into Gamma next season… BY THE NUMBERS: Monty Dhillon clinches promotion with: Win OR Loss to Hida in 3:54 or longer. (The latter would serve as the tiebreaker.) Scott Stevens, being a primary PC, is exempt from relegation (he would have clinched it otherwise). My loss is your gain this week. I was going to get a flu shot this morning but when I got there, they told me that I couldn't get one without filling out a consent form ahead of time...wheich I wasn't notified about so I could print it at work. (There is no printer at my residence.) So...back to the apartment and slaving away over a keyboard for the last two hours gives you the following! THE LEAGUE: SEASON TEN, WEEK THIRTEEN DELTA DIVISION (8) Devil's Delight (1-11, OVR 420) vs. (2) Lance Heartilly (9-3, OVR 440)* If the match were scored on points and ended after three minutes, Delight may have won it. However, reality dictates otherwise, and it was around the seven-minute mark where things went completely out of her grasp. An implant DDT, a Heartilly Arm Breaker, a stump piledriver, and finally the Hellacious Leglock was the combination that did Delight in. Heartilly seemed to enjoy inflicting additional pain on the hapless Delight, who falls to 1-12 on the season and is probably looking forward to getting as far from Heartilly as she can. Lance Heartilly (10-3) def. Devil's Delight (1-12) via Submission (Hellacious Leglock) in 10:22. Rating: ** Changes for Lance Heartilly: OVR + 3.99, XP + 484.98, no notable damage Changes for Devil's Delight: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.24, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION (7) Scott Stevens (4-8, OVR 418)* vs. (5) Jun Onoo (5-7, OVR 471) One of Stevens’ few wins this season came at the expense of Jun Onoo in the first half of the season. For most of the opening half of this Match of the Night contender, it looked like history would repeat itself, as Stevens controlled the bulk of the opening minutes, However, Onoo had both Stevens’ Toxic Sting and his piledriver well-scouted, as Stevens failed to find purchase with either move on numerous occasions. A well-timed Cary Stevens distraction led to Stevens getting the advantage when he was in danger of falling to an IMPACT Driver, and after a few more attempts at the piledriver, including after successive powerbombs, Onoo connected with a backbreaker drop and simply put all of his weight on Stevens’ chest and shoulders, and Stevens could not get a shoulder up before three despite his best efforts. Onoo avenges his loss from earlier in the season, and puts the pressure on Nocturne as she’s up next against a promotion contender in Kichi Hida. Jun Onoo (6-7) def. Scott Stevens (4-9) via Pinfall (over shoulder backbreaker drop) in 18:16. Rating: *** Changes for Jun Onoo: OVR + 5.74, XP + 529.50, minor damage to head and body Changes for Scott Stevens: OVR + 0.80, XP + 105.90, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION (3) Kichi Hida (9-3, OVR 461)* vs. (4) Nocturne (6-6, OVR 426) Both women knew they needed a win for different reasons. For Hida, it was to keep a hope of promotion. For Nocturne, it was to keep in the upper half of the Delta Division and thus out of relegation back to Omega. It turned out that Nocturne was still too green, and Hida made her pay in a mostly one-sided affair. Hida moves to ten wins, and now looks for Tornado to pull a major upset later on if she has any realistic hope of escaping Delta at the end of the season. Kichi Hida (10-3) def. Nocturne (6-7) via Pinfall (Eternal Violence) in 6:19. Rating: * Changes for Kichi Hida: OVR + 2.65, XP + 442.78, no notable damage Changes for Nocturne: OVR -0.81, XP + 110.69, minor damage to head GAMMA DIVISION (5) Terrance Stevens (5-7, OVR 473)* vs. (8) Diamond (4-8, OVR 474) A must-win for Diamond, who simply did not come out of the starting blocks looking like it. It took her a few minutes to get any sort of offense going, but by that point, Stevens had sent her out of the ring, hit a piledriver on the protective mats, and barely missed a Meltdown while still at ringside. When the two got back in the ring, Diamond managed a couple paltry moves but swiftly ate a Meltdown. Three counts later, Diamond’s fate for Season Ten was sealed. Terrance Stevens (6-7) def. Diamond (4-9) via Pinfall (Maple Leaf Meltdown) in 9:08. Rating: ** Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR + 3.92, XP + 557.04, no notable damage Changes for Diamond: OVR -0.07, XP + 139.26, minor damage to head GAMMA DIVISION (6) Erick Gibson (4-8, OVR 484)* vs. (7) Markus Clay (4-8, OVR 469) While not a squash in the purest sense of the term—Clay got enough offense in that Gibson was a bit woozy for a minute or three—this was entirely under Gibson’s control. Strike after strike landed, Clay was never able to get up to speed, and Gibson landed the Terminable Offense for the victory, claiming the tiebreaker over Clay individually. With already claiming a potential three-way break between himself, Clay, and Diamond, Erick Gibson has secured a place in Gamma Division next season, and Markus Clay has been relegated! Erick Gibson (5-8) def. Markus Clay (4-9) via Pinfall (Terminable Offense) in 7:39. Rating: ** Changes for Erick Gibson: OVR + 3.83, XP + 556.22, no notable damage Changes for Markus Clay: OVR -0.07, XP + 139.06, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION (5) Angela Wassermann (5-7, OVR 470)* vs. (7) Billy Norris (5-7, OVR 501) A Match of the Night contender, Wassermann let this one get away from her. She had Norris in trouble early, flirting with her arm breaker some nine minutes in, but was unable to find the right sequence to get it locked in. A further golden chance got squandered when Norris sent her to the outside with a high knee to the back, and then missing his follow-up top rope senton attempt. Even then, Wassermann let Norris fight back to some semblance of coherency. This would cost her as upon their return to the ring, Norris would hit a Boomerang DDT and immediately follow up with the Down Under Disaster, keeping Wassermann down for three. Wassermann now needs to be wary of another loss and falling into seventh next week, as Norris gives himself some much-needed breathing room. Billy Norris (6-7) def. Angela Wassermann (5-8) via Pinfall (Down Under Disaster) in 14:40. Rating: *** Changes for Billy Norris: OVR + 5.48, XP + 685.91, minor damage to head Changes for Angela Wassermann: OVR + 0.76, XP + 171.48, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION (8) Daniel Simmons (2-10, OVR 498)* vs. (6) De'siree Mitchell (4-8, OVR 488) Another Match of the Night contender, this one had Simmons fighting from behind for the majority of the bout. It wasn’t until about ten minutes in that he started to get some solid offense strung together, and once he got some momentum Mitchell had no solution for him. Simmons connected with the Working Man’s Dropkick twice, the second leading immediately into a Blue Collar Driver. Mitchell was not getting up after that, and Simmons completes the improbable season sweep, keeping alive for the moment his hopes of not being sent back to the Beta Division! Daniel Simmons (3-10) def. De'siree Mitchell (4-9) via Pinfall (Blue Collar Driver) in 16:54. Rating: *** Changes for Daniel Simmons: OVR + 5.64, XP + 793.18, moderate damage to head Changes for De'siree Mitchell: OVR + 0.78, XP + 198.30, moderate damage to head BETA DIVISION (8) Big Scott Weathers (3-9, OVR 477) vs. (3) Blood River (6-6, OVR 501)* UPSET ALERT! As if the previous two matches weren’t upsets in their own rights, this one was a Match of the Night contender that saw River fall behind early, fight his way back into the contest, and draw even with Weathers around the nine-minute mark. An attempted slingshot legdrop went for naught, though, and Weathers would not look back after that, quickly battering River into position for his sleeper hold finisher, and the shock submission victory. With the loss, River will not be able to beat Ouilette’s record outright and since Ouilette has the tiebreaker, River is eliminated from promotion contention! Big Scott Weathers (4-9) def. Blood River (6-7) via Submission (Welcome to Dreamland) in 11:48. Rating: *** Changes for Big Scott Weathers: OVR + 5.27, XP + 683.98, minor damage to head Changes for Blood River: OVR + 0.73, XP + 170.99, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION HARDCORE MATCH (4) Yoshii Nakamatsu (6-6, OVR 504)* vs. (6) Pulsar (5-7, OVR 473) Nakamatsu needs a win and a Ouilette loss to keep his chances of promotion alive as, once again, Ouilette holds the tiebreaker. While this was a competitive bout, closer in physical results to a typical Match of the Night contender, something about these two just didn’t seem to click with the hardcore ruleset. It was even for the most part, but one power DDT too many from Nakamatsu spelled the difference. One of those was followed up by a DEVASTATION Knee, and when the pin attempt did not net three, Nakamatsu connected with an Emperor’s Fall. That did the trick, and Yoshii’s done his part. Now he needs Blackfield to do the same to have a chance next week of backing into the promotion to Alpha! Yoshii Nakamatsu (7-6) def. Pulsar (5-8) via Pinfall (Emperor’s Fall) in 11:21. Rating: ** Changes for Yoshii Nakamatsu: OVR + 4.04, XP + 631.08, no notable damage Changes for Pulsar: OVR -0.07, XP + 157.77, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION (1) Monty Dhillon (10-2, OVR 524)* vs. (6) El Tornado (4-8, OVR 444) No tricks this week from Monty, as he stared down the masked luchador before the bell rang. Once it did, it was nearly over in three minutes, except that Tornado was able to avoid the Blockade Lock twice and an Empire Bomb once. It took Monty another three minutes before a 1346 led into a Livewire Lariat, and that into the Empire Bomb for the pinfall victory. The win puts him in control of his destiny next week. With any result other than losing to Hida in less than 3:53, Dhillon promotes to Gamma! Monty Dhillon (11-2) def. El Tornado (4-9) via Pinfall (Empire Bomb) in 6:48. Rating: ** Changes for Monty Dhillon: OVR + 3.79, XP + 483.26, no notable damage Changes for El Tornado: OVR -0.07, XP + 120.82, minor damage to head and body GAMMA DIVISION (4) Diego Rodriguez (6-6, OVR 506)* vs. (3) Indigo Rose (7-5, OVR 486) This fourth clash of technical wizards, in which Rodriguez leads the series by a 2-1 margin, was a must-win for Rose. A win and a Molina loss to Priest in the main event, and she was right back in control of the second promotion spot. As was to be expected of these two, this was a slower-paced, grinding encounter with neither grappler backing down from the other. With grappling skills basically equal between the two, the question would become which factor would be the decider, Rodriguez’s strength or Rose’s speed. The answer, at least on this night, lay with Rose and her ability to slip out of the larger Rodriguez’s holds. His Harmony of Dissonance went for naught, while it only took her two attempts at the Vite d’Indaco—albeit after a pair of variated DDTs—to get the hold locked in and force the submission. Rose now has to wait for the main event, and hope that the First Church of Wrestling delivers on her prayers, to see if she has a chance next week at promotion. Indigo Rose (8-5) def. Diego Rodriguez (6-7) via Submission (Vite d’Indaco) in 16:05. Rating: ** Changes for Indigo Rose: OVR + 4.31, XP + 560.88, minor damage to head Changes for Diego Rodriguez: OVR -0.08, XP + 140.22, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION (7) Reverend Johnny Gross (3-9, OVR 494) vs. (1) George Mastachas (9-3, OVR 519)* This went about the way that everyone expected. Gross got enough offense in to get Mastachas winded a little bit, but by that time it was far, far too late. Mastachas continues the roll he’s been on, manhandling Gross en route to another pinfall victory by way of the Wrath of Zeus. Pressure’s on Nuclear Templeton now—a loss to Brandy later on, and Mastachas claims the League Championship! As for Reverend Gross…the loss means that, as he is unable to win any tiebreakers between himself and any combination of De’siree Mitchell and Daniel Simmons, he is the first person locked into relegation back to the Beta Division this season. Rating: ** Changes for George Mastachas: OVR + 4.40, XP + 732.76, no notable damage Changes for Reverend Johnny Gross: OVR -0.08, XP + 183.19, minor damage to head and body ALPHA DIVISION (3) The Mastodon (8-4, OVR 515) vs. (5) Mel O'Hallister (6-6, OVR 520)* O’Hallister did everything in his power short of bringing a sword to the ring to face Mastodon, and it still was not enough on this night. Despite eating a great deal of offense, Mastodon found a way to power through, thwart O’Hallister’s plans, and notch his ninth win of the season with a lariat that nearly separated O’Hallister’s head from his body. Mastodon still has an outside chance at the League Championship, but he absolutely needs Templeton to lose or else he’s eliminated with one week remaining in the season. The Mastodon (9-4) def. Mel O'Hallister (6-7) via Pinfall (Rampage) in 15:01. Rating: ** Changes for The Mastodon: OVR + 4.25, XP + 730.81, minor damage to head Changes for Mel O'Hallister: OVR -0.08, XP + 182.70, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION FIRST BLOOD MATCH (4) Brandy McDonald (7-5, OVR 517) vs. (2) Nuclear Templeton (9-3, OVR 526)* Pressure time for the reigning champion. A win, and he sees his hopes drawn out to Week Fourteen. A loss, and he’s out of contention. Standing in his way is the Season Eight League Champion, the always-dangerous Brandy McDonald. A very good match, and in the discussion for Match of the Night, McDonald had to come from behind to get Templeton to the point where he could be busted open. McDonald tried on several occasions to simply bash her way into drawing blood, to no avail. Frustrated, she even landed Brandy with a Twist and then tried to bust open Nuclear while he was still a bit woozy, still with no luck. Templeton finally regained his senses, realized what was happening, and proceeded to deliver a face-first powerbomb and then a DDT that busted open his opponent. Nuclear wins a hard-hitting, close contest, and the dream for a repeat remains alive heading into the final week of the season! Nuclear Templeton (10-3) def. Brandy McDonald (7-6) via First Blood (DDT) in 15:20. Rating: *** Changes for Nuclear Templeton: OVR + 5.78, XP + 791.96, minor damage to head Changes for Brandy McDonald: OVR + 1.77, XP + 197.99, minor damage to head and body BETA DIVISION (1) Brian Blackfield (11-1, OVR 565)* vs. (2) Jean-Paul Ouilette (7-5, OVR 515) If Ouilette can manage the improbable and knock off The Juggernaut, he clinches promotion. A fitting prize for managing to do what’s only been done three times in the past, right? The opening eight minutes were largely controlled by Ouilette. In fact, he nearly had Blackfield pinned after a spinning elbow blow at 8:30, but Blackfield got a shoulder up at the last moment to avert the pin. (Behind the curtain speak: Blackfield’s OVR, as well as some others, is at the point where moves with less than a 30% chance to finish cannot beat them at all. The elbow blow in that instance had a 21.6% chance after all modifiers were factored in.) Nonplussed, Ouilette continued the assault, all the while conceding ground to Blackfield’s counterstrikes and dodges. On the third attempt, nearly seventeen minutes into the contest, Ouilette finally landed Le Petit Mort. Enter The Juggernaut. Two minutes later, Blackfield had the Highland’s Wrath locked in, center of the ring, and Ouilette simply passed out a few seconds later as Blackfield was exerting that much pressure due to the adrenaline rush. Blackfield had to fight from behind, and proved to the doubters that he’s got at least a fighting chance in the Alpha Division next season, as he stops Ouilette in the Match of the Night so far! Frankie Garnett: As much as my snap instinct is to disparage the man, as I was prone to doing before when he was wrestling here, Bob, he made the absolutely right call to put this one on last. ???: Oh, good, so I don’t have to smack you for talking trash about my husband! There’s a beat of silence as the camera pans out to show former League analyst, color commentator, and podcast host Tori Montgomery sitting to the right of Frankie Garnett. Bob Sinclair: Tori! A pleasant surprise! What brings you here? Tori Montgomery: The complex answer would take longer than the match we’re about to see, Bob. The simple answer? I asked Will to keep an eye on the kids and came across the property. I may have retired from doing this full-time but the urge to stop in once in a while is still there. Frankie Garnett: …you’ll have to excuse me for a bit, Tori. I’m still in a bit of shock. Tori Montgomery: What, that I came back while you’re still here? Frankie Garnett: That, and well…other things. Bob Sinclair: Regardless, Tori, while we let Frankie get himself composed, give us your thoughts on our main event here. Tori Montgomery: Well, history favors Christian Priest. He’s got a slight edge over Molina these past two seasons. While he may not have anything to truly wrestle for this season, clinching the division title already, I think he’s looking to make a statement to the folks in the Beta Division. I don’t see him resting on his laurels this week. I expect this to go…seven, maybe eight rounds and end in favor of Priest, two straight falls. Frankie Garnett: That’s where we’ll disagree, Tori. A 2-1 final, going past the eighth round, and Molina’s going to do himself no favors by pushing too hard when he should just give it up and look for next week to make his bid for promotion. Tori Montgomery: …Bob, did I just hear that correctly? Did Frankie actually provide meaningful commentary? Bob Sinclair: Yes, Tori. That’s not the same Frankie you’re used to. You’ll see for yourself as we go. The bell sounds and the first round of this European Rules match is underway! Bob Sinclair: You can already see what Molina’s plan is—try to wear down Priest’s stamina with sapping rest holds. Tori Montgomery: I’m not sure he even knows what he’s doing, Bob. Frankie Garnett: I’d argue for the opposite. You know Priest is going to be good with his stamina for a while. Especially with getting to rest every five minutes. You’ve got him thinking you’re going to wear him down. Now’s the time to come in guns blazing, use your strikes and impact drops, and try to steal a fall before Priest can get momentum under him. Tori Montgomery: That’s the first round I’d give to Priest tonight. Took him a few rounds to adapt to Molina’s plan of attack, and perhaps my advice was the wrong set to give last round. Frankie Garnett: I’m pretty sure the founder of the First Church of Wrestling was simply trying to set Molina up for this. He’s not just a hulking brute after all. Bob Sinclair: Priest has closed the gap in this match after a decisive fourth round, and I think now things are going to get a bit more intense moving forward. It’s Monday, time for predictions before I start running what matches I can! (Also, if you’re deciding not to train or spend XP this week, letting me know that early means I can run your match as well and *maybe* get the show up on Friday night again. Just saying… 😉) ALPHA: Nuclear, O’Hallister, Mastachas, Simmons. Mel plays the spoiler, and Simmons puts Mitchell into a must-win next week. Mastachas places himself at a “win and you’re the champ” scenario. BETA: Blackfield, Nakamatsu, River, Norris. Ouilette stumbles against The Juggernaut, which opens the field for Week 14 Chaos(tm) in the Beta Division. GAMMA: Molina, Rose, Gibson, Stevens. Commissioner’s Decree: the European Rules match is ending the show with Blackfield/Ouilette as the semi-main, algorithm be damned. But I see Molina stunning Priest, who eases up this week knowing a 4* match is almost guaranteed with him in Euro Rules. Rose keeps pace to force drama in Week 14, and Diamond gets doomed after Stevens finishes the sweep. DELTA: Dhillon, Hida, Stevens, Heartilly. Delta’s top 3 all win, much to the chagrin of the author who wants Nocturne to finish with a winning record. Those looking for Heartilly to stumble should look to next week instead, as Delight is still far too outclassed and still trying to find her wheels in the ring.

CLINCH SIMULATION REPORTING After Season Ten, Week Twelve: Two weeks remaining POSSIBLE SCENARIOS REMAINING PER DIVISION: 256 (16 x 16) AUTHOR’S NOTE: When I mention “tied for second” or “tied for seventh”, I mean any scenarios where whomever wins/loses the tiebreaker would be in second or seventh place in the standings, respectively. As an example: if the bottom of a division had 5-9, 5-9, 5-9, 1-13 for positions five through eight, all those 5-9 records would be considered “tied for seventh” and thus at risk of relegation depending on who lost the tiebreakers, even though the common parlance is “tied for fifth” as that’s the highest one could reach. On the upper half, a look of 9-5, 9-5, 9-5. 6-8 would have the top three positions technically “tied for second” in my outlooks below, even if whoever lost the tiebreakers would not be promoted. Keep this in mind especially for Delta Division, as the drop to Omega happens from fifth-place on down for GMPCs. With two weeks remaining, it’ll be easier to find scenarios that clinch or eliminate wrestlers, and so expect a little more detail. Most of the below calculations have taken tiebreakers into effect; in cases where the tiebreaker has not been fully resolved due to pending matches, the current holder is considered to win the ties. ALPHA DIVISION—LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP Mel O’Hallister is officially eliminated from title contention, and the field is reduced to four—one favorite, two dark horses, and a long-shot. For these, I have gone and figured out tiebreakers as best as I can, so what’s presented below is correct to the best of my abilities. The odds-on favorite, when tiebreakers are considered, is George Mastachas. He wins the tiebreaker against Nuclear Templeton, effectively doubling his chances. Nuclear’s only hope for a repeat is to win outright with the best record and not be tied with anyone. Mastodon wins both individual tiebreakers on strength of victory time, and would also win the three-way break unless Nuclear somehow wins an Alpha Division match against Mastodon in just a touch over three minutes. I do not see that as likely, so Mastachas gets the three-way break scenarios. The longshot is Brandy McDonald. Only four paths take her to a tie for the Championship, which would be a four-way tiebreaker with Templeton, Mastodon, and Mastachas. With these results…if the times work to her favor, she could actually win the Championship: Week 13: Brandy must beat Nuclear in under 20:40. Simmons and Mastodon must also win. Week 14: Brandy, O’Hallister, and Gross must all win. This would tie four people at 9-7, and Brandy would have the victory time tiebreaker as these four would all be 3-3 against each other in this scenario. This is the only way she can emerge as the Season Ten Champion. So in the end, it sorts out to… BY THE NUMBERS: Percentage of scenarios winning the League Championship (percentage with outright best record), factoring in tiebreakers George Mastachas: 50.000% (25.000%) Nuclear Templeton: 28.125% (28.125%( The Mastodon: 20.313% (3.125%) Brandy McDonald: 1.563% (0.000%) ALPHA DIVISION--RELEGATION Reverend Johnny Gross needs to win both his matches, De’siree Mitchell to lose both of hers, and Daniel Simmons to win in the final week of the season, to stave off relegation. Otherwise he loses tiebreakers to both Mitchell and Daniel Simmons individually and combined—that nearly hour-long European Rules match really did him no favors. Simmons has a chance to avoid relegation—he needs Mitchell, Gross, and himself to end up tied at 4-10, or for him and Mitchell to finish at 4-10 and Gross to finish at 3-11. If that happens, he wins the head-to-head tiebreaker(s) and would avoid relegation. That’s his only hope of surviving. If Mitchell wins either of her next two matches, she avoids relegation and dooms Gross and Simmons to another season in Beta. That simple. BY THE NUMBERS: Percentage of scenarios in which relegation occurs, accounting for tiebreakers: Daniel Simmons: 98.242% > 98.438% > 90.625% Reverend Johnny Gross: 64.331% > 90.234% > 84.375% De’siree Mitchell: 64.331% > 38.672% > 9.375% BETA DIVISION—PROMOTION TO ALPHA With The Juggernaut clinching the division title last week, eyes now turn to the race for second place, and a spot in the Alpha Division. Jean-Paul Ouilette has a massive advantage when tiebreakers are factored in to everything. Not only does he have the most chances of finishing unopposed (no ties) for second, he also wins any tiebreaker with one person (either Blood River or Yoshii Nakamatsu). River and Nakamatsu’ chances number in the low double-digits out of 256 scenarios, and Billy Norris has even fewer than that. Pulsar and Angela Wassermann, despite being ahead of Norris in the division, cannot win tiebreakers to catapult themselves into second. The lone five-way-tie scenario for second place would see Ouilette win the tiebreaker. For Norris to proceed into the Alpha Division, he needs the following to happen: Week 13: Norris, Weathers, Blackfield, Pulsar all must win Week 14: Weathers and Norris must win. (The other two matches do not matter.) BY THE NUMBERS: Percentage of scenarios where promotion is earned, accounting for tiebreakers: Brian Blackfield: 100% > Clinched Division Title Jean-Paul Ouilette: 36.087% > 55.859% > 84.766% Yoshii Nakamatsu: 36.163% > 55.859% > 8.203% Blood River: 36.234% > 17.480% > 6.250% Billy Norris: 10.504% > 14.355% > 0.782% BETA DIVISION--RELEGATION Big Scott Weathers is guaranteed to tie at best for worst record in the division. A few scenarios exist where Weathers could eke out a tiebreaker in a four-way or five-way tie, as there’s a match or two that could affect those scenarios, but odds are that he’s not going to get any of those to happen and he’ll be dropping. His odds below simply note that he’s going to finish with at least a share of the worst record. Outside of that, It’s nearly even odds between Pulsar and Billy Norris to drop. Norris is slightly more likely of the two. The only other person at risk is Angela Wassermann, and that’s only if she sits alone or is tied with Weathers only at the bottom of the division. Any other scenario where she’s tied, with three or more people tied for seventh, and she’s safe. BY THE NUMBERS: Percentage of scenarios where wrestler is relegated, accounting for tiebreakers Big Scott Weathers: 87.421% > 95.703% > 100.000%* (not clinched yet, could eke out a tiebreaker against Pulsar/Wassermann or Norris/Wassermann) Billy Norris: 56.570% > 32.104% > 46.875% (slight variance possible due to pending matches) Pulsar: 56.064% > 74.292% > 34.375% (slight variance possible due to pending matches) Angela Wassermann: 21.489% > 30.151% > 18.750% GAMMA DIVISION—PROMOTION With Christian Priest clinching the Gamma Division crown, eyes turn to the dogfight for second, much like in the Beta Division. There are only three others who can promote despite four people who could tie for second. Lucas Molina is the clear frontrunner, given that he wins basically every tiebreaker against Rose and Rodriguez. Indigo Rose has less than half the chance that Molina has, and Diego Rodriguez is a longshot at best. Terrance Stevens, despite having two paths that lead to a four-way tie for second place, cannot promote in that scenario (Molina wins that tiebreaker). But overall, it’s going to take a collapse from Molina to keep him out of the Beta Division next season; he has the inside track going into the final weeks of the season. In all but eight scenarios, he at least finishes tied for second. (Those eight scenarios all feature him losing both matches, Heartilly and Hida winning both remaining matches. The other two matches each week can go either way, hence eight scenarios.) Lance Heartilly and Kichi Hida now have almost identical chances of making it, without tiebreakers factored in. The tiebreakers make things interesting. Dhillon has individual tiebreaker over Lance Heartilly. He also currently has it over Kichi Hida, and only loses that if Hida can beat him in under 3:53. Lance Heartilly has the individual tiebreaker over Hida and also currently the three-way tiebreaker. Dhillon claims the group tiebreaker if he beats Hida and doesn’t take 25 minutes to do it. Even if Lance wins the group breaker, Dhillon has it over Hida barring a blitz victory from Kichi. So the only way Dhillon does not promote is if he loses both matches, and both Heartilly and Hida win out (the eight scenarios I mention above). Hida needs to have either Heartilly or Dhillon fall to third place if she’s going to get into Gamma next season. (Note that if tiebreakers were not considered, Hida’s chances would be listed at 71.875%.) *Walks in, casually drops Week Twelve a day early, leaves.* THE LEAGUE: SEASON TEN, WEEK TWELVE DELTA DIVISION (5) Nocturne (5-6, OVR 422) vs. (6) El Tornado (4-7, OVR 444)* A perfectly average and acceptable opening contest, Nocturne let Tornado get a little too overzealous and overconfident, avoiding several of Tornado’s rope-assisted aerial moves. She even had Tornado’s Super Twister, a move not seen in The League in a while, well-scouted, and that was the difference in this one. As soon as she got Tornado facing her, she hit a seated face plant and immediately locked in the ankle lock. There was no table breaking there to save Tornado this time, as he had to tap before Nocturne ripped the foot off at the ankle. With two weeks remaining, Nocturne evens up her season record but has a tough task on the horizon in the form of Kichi Hida. Nocturne (6-6) def. Rating: ** Changes for Nocturne: OVR + 3.94, XP + 484.62, no notable damage Changes for El Tornado: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.15, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION (4) Jun Onoo (5-6, OVR 471)* vs. (8) Devil's Delight (0-11, OVR 416) From the opening bell, Onoo had to fight from his back foot, as Delight seemed to be unrelenting in her assault. It was an aggressive side of Delight we haven’t seen all season, and though Onoo needed fewer hits to get Delight in trouble, he had to deliver them in the rare openings she left him. By ten minutes in, Onoo had tried for a few lifting power moves, only for Delight to slip out of each of them, and eventually a short DDT led right into Purgatory’s End. Onoo was too far from the ropes, and Delight nearly pulled Onoo onto his side with how much pressure she was exerting that Onoo had to tap. In what can only be called a massive upset, Devil’s Delight finally gets her first win of the season, and she earned it without any outside interference! Devil's Delight (1-11) def. Scott Stevens found this out to his chagrin, as even with his father’s interference to prevent Eternal Violence, it only took Hida another minute to connect with the charging knee to put down Stevens in what could be loosely defined as a squash. Hida now looks to later tonight, to see how her fortunes will fare after the top two men in the Delta Division face off. Kichi Hida (9-3) def. Scott Stevens (4-8) via Pinfall (Eternal Violence) in 7:49. By the time that Weathers started getting any sort of meaningful offense in, it was all but over. Sure, Weathers nearly managed to get Pulsar into Blackout territory, but not after suffering a scare as Pulsar went up top, maybe looking for the Zodiac Implosion but got thrown off the ropes for his trouble. Pulsar would eventually pick up the sudden win with a slingshot guillotina, and due to a faster victory also claims the tiebreaker over Weathers. There’s still a few matches in the division to occur yet, but it would be incredibly difficult for Weathers to escape relegation at this point. Pulsar (5-7) def. You wouldn’t have guessed that she knew, though, if you shut off the match at the four-minute mark after Gibson hit a Probationary Hearing. If you’d done that, you would have missed Diamond controlling the majority of the closing seven minutes before putting Gibson down with a top rope clothesline. It wasn’t fast enough to steal the individual tiebreaker from Gibson, but if Clay stumbles in his match coming up next, Diamond’s hopes of remaining in Gamma for Season Eleven remain alive! Diamond (4-8) def. Erick Gibson (4-8) via Pinfall (top rope flying clothesline) in 11:20. Win, and force Priest to do likewise if he wanted to clinch the division. Lose, and watch the grasp you had on second place in the division go slipping away. For the first couple minutes, she seemed well aware of this. The problem was that Clay started to pick up the pace, and once that happened Rose had a very difficult time getting him slowed back down. Clay wouldn’t look back, nor would he let his foot off the pedal, as a rope-assisted senton was enough to keep Indigo Rose down for three and thereby award the Gamma Division to Christian Priest. Rating: ** Changes for Markus Clay: OVR + 3.99, XP + 557.71, minor damage to head Changes for Indigo Rose: OVR -0.07, XP + 139.43, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION (5) Angela Wassermann (5-6, OVR 469) vs. (4) Blood River (5-6, OVR 496)* Bob Sinclair: Action in the heart of the Beta Division is up next, as Angela Wassermann and Blood River try to rise up a little bit in the quagmire that is the bulk of the Beta Division standings behind Brian Blackfield. Frankie Garnett: A bit of a clash of styles here; River likes to utilize his speed while Wassermann’s a proponent of the ground and pound game to set up her cross arm breaker. I think River’s got this one, but it’ll be close and I would not be shocked at all if Wassermann takes this. Bob Sinclair: With that, both wrestlers look ready to go—at least, I think River’s ready, it’s hard to tell with that mask—and we are underway! Bob Sinclair: River taking a bit of a slower pace to start this match; that was not something I’d expected. Frankie Garnett: Agreed. Then again, we should know to expect the unexpected from River given who and what he is…allegedly. Bob Sinclair: Everyone watching knows this slower pace isn’t going to last; River’s eventually going to try to pick up the pace. The question is: will Wassermann be too worn down by then to stop him? Bob Sinclair: Turns out the answer is yes, Wassermann was quite ready for the tempo to go up! That punch landed flush and River looks staggered out there! Frankie Garnett: That superman punch may not be enough to win on its own, Bob, but it’ll certainly help Wassermann wear River down, especially if a few more connect! Bob Sinclair: River again looking to slow the pace down. Frankie, does this strike you as a good plan? Frankie Garnett: On a quick thought, no. River’s strengths are his speed and his daredevil aerial assault. But if you look over the last few minutes, Wassermann seemed ready for him to amp up the pace. This could be a deliberate counter tactic since he had been in control for most of the slower portion of the match. Bob Sinclair: That seems rather counter-intuitive, but I can’t find a single fault in anything you said there, Frankie. The big question is whether Wassermann will stay down long enough given this slower pace for River to go up top for either of his finishers. Frankie Garnett: Holy…I think she just broke the ref’s face! Bob Sinclair: Wassermann was looking for a knockout blow, but hit the wrong person! Medical staff is quickly down here to look after the ref, but meanwhile River looks to continue his assault as there is no official to stop him! Bob Sinclair: River is frantically tapping out, trying to get Wassermann to release the hold, but there’s no official to see it! Frankie Garnett: Oh, man, if she ends up losing this one because of that, I do not want to be anyone in The League’s front office tomorrow morning. Bob Sinclair: I’d like to believe Angela Wassermann has more self-control than that, Frankie. Frankie Garnett: Oh, it’s not her I’m worried about. It’s all the armchair officials who will be crying for two officials at ringside at all times starting next season. Bob Sinclair: The ref still looks a bit out of it as he falls into position for the count…one, two, three! I think it’s justified to say that Blood River steals this one tonight, as Wassermann had him to rights earlier! Frankie Garnett: I would venture Wassermann only has herself to blame, Bob. If she wasn’t being so aggressive in trying to take off River’s head with her knee, the ref would have been aware enough to see the submission earlier. This falls on her! Bob Sinclair: The argument could be made either way, folks, but the record books will show that on this night, Blood River picks up the win in a very close contest! Blood River (6-6) def. Angela Wassermann (5-7) via Pinfall (slingshot legdrop) in 14:37. Rating: *** Changes for Blood River: OVR + 5.47, XP + 815.88, minor damage to head and body Changes for Angela Wassermann: OVR + 0.76, XP + 301.47, minor damage to head This was the Match of the Night (1 [1 this season] for Blood River, 4 [2 this season] for Angela Wassermann) GAMMA DIVISION (3) Lucas Molina (6-5, OVR 467)* vs. (4) Diego Rodriguez (6-5, OVR 505) The fan in the author was looking forward to this match the most out of the entire card—spoilers, I’m a sucker for a good, technical showcase—and this match delivered on the promise with a Match of the Night contender. Back-and-forth through, Molina had an early advantage before Rodriguez evened things back up. Molina would get another advantage, but finding no joy as his heel hook did not lead to a submission victory. Rodriguez fought back again, his Prelude to Dissonance preceding an attempted Discordant Melody that Molina fought out of. Molina would trip up Rodriguez immediately afterwards, and get the Molina Bodylock applied. Despite being only a few inches away from the ropes, Rodriguez found little leverage to pull himself closer, and had to tap out. Molina takes advantage of the Rose loss to forcibly re-insert himself back into the discussion for promotion to the Beta Division! Lucas Molina (7-5) def. Rating: *** Changes for Lucas Molina: OVR + 5.39, XP + 606.10, minor damage to head Changes for Diego Rodriguez: OVR + 0.75, XP + 151.53, minor damage to head and legs ALPHA DIVISION (3) The Mastodon (7-4, OVR 510) vs. (6) De'siree Mitchell (4-7, OVR 487)* Another Match of the Night contender, Mitchell knew coming in that she had the advantage—after all, she had beaten Mastodon earlier in the season. That stopped neither one from throwing hands and just having a pure strong-style contest. Neither one back down, and it was Mitchell who blinked first due to the size and power advantage of Mastodon. A press powerslam only netted Mastodon two (and a very brief two at that), but when Mitchell tried to escape a follow-up powerbomb, it looked like she landed awkwardly on her left ankle. That momentary distraction was all Mastodon needed as he delivered a Rampage to put Mitchell down for three and split the season series. The Mastodon (8-4) def. De'siree Mitchell (4-8) via Pinfall (Rampage) in 14:22. Rating: *** Changes for The Mastodon: OVR + 5.45, XP + 791.21, minor damage to head Changes for De'siree Mitchell: OVR + 0.76, XP + 197.80, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION (7) Reverend Johnny Gross (3-8, OVR 495)* vs. (4) Brandy McDonald (6-5, OVR 514) Ever since winning Tag Team Turmoil, Gross has not been able to get his singles game back on track. That continued to hold true here tonight as, while he made the match competitive, Gross was simply outclassed by the former League Champion. One shot at the Brandy with a Twist is all she needed to put Gross down for three, and in doing so all but assure Gross gets put down to Beta—he loses both individual tiebreakers to Simmons and Mitchell, and he’s not winning a three-way tiebreaker with a 50+ minute European Rules victory on his ledger. He’s going to need to win out and hope Mitchell loses both remaining matches, or else his second tenure in Alpha is also going to last for a single season. Brandy McDonald (7-5) def. Reverend Johnny Gross (3-9) via Pinfall (Brandy with a Twist) in 13:46. Rating: * Changes for Brandy McDonald: OVR + 2.95, XP + 669.09, minor damage to head Changes for Reverend Johnny Gross: OVR -0.90, XP + 167.27, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION (2) Yoshii Nakamatsu (6-5, OVR 503)* vs. (3) Jean-Paul Ouilette (6-5, OVR 509) This was another Match of the Night contender, and the author is honestly surprised it didn’t go to four stars. The advantage coming in was with Nakamatsu—after all, he had fought to keep the number two spot in Gamma last season to even make it here, while Ouilette had no such track record. Though it was Ouilette who controlled the opening half of the match, keeping Nakaamtsu off his game. When the Frenchman went for Le Petit Mort, only for Nakamatsu to small package him for a one-count, that give Yoshii the spark he needed to get back into the contest. Nakamatsu would fend off a second Le Petit Mort, only for Cecile Corine to trip him up while going for a DEVASTATION Knee. That opening would directly lead to Le Petit Mort actually landing, and Ouilette steals a victory with the help of his dame du jour at ringside, putting him in the driver’s seat to move to Alpha along with The Juggernaut next season! Jean-Paul Ouilette (7-5) def. Yoshii Nakamatsu (6-6) via Pinfall (Le Petit Mort) in 13:53. Rating: *** Changes for Jean-Paul Ouilette: OVR + 5.42, XP + 548.31, minor damage to head Changes for Yoshii Nakamatsu: OVR + 0.75, XP + 171.35, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION (8) Daniel Simmons (2-9, OVR 498) vs. (2) Nuclear Templeton (8-3, OVR 522)* Maven Deltzer was generous in giving this match two stars. From the casual viewer’s standpoint, this was a one-sided squash, plain and simple. Simmons never stood much of a chance with Templeton still looking to repeat as League Champion. Nuclear’s one attempt at a finisher, the Radiation Leak, went for naught, but a press powerslam did what the submission hold could not. Templeton forces the pressure on Mastachas to win or give up the Alpha Division lead, coming up a short while from now! Nuclear Templeton (9-3) def. Daniel Simmons (2-10) via Pinfall (press powerslam) in 11:48. Rating: ** Changes for Nuclear Templeton: OVR + 4.07, XP + 728.50, no notable damage Changes for Daniel Simmons: OVR -0.07, XP + 182.12, moderate damage to head GAMMA DIVISION (y-1) Christian Priest (10-1, OVR 565) vs. (5) Terrance Stevens (5-6, OVR 472)* The announcement was made as Priest made his way to the ring, anointing him the Gamma Division Champion for Season Ten. Knowing he had nothing to lose, Priest dominated the opening four minutes of the match, nearly locking in Martyrdom on Stevens. When Terrance escaped before it could be locked in, Priest seemed to just go on cruise control for a while, giving Stevens a bit of hope that he could pull off the upset. After five minutes of this, however, and having to endure a Canuckle Shuffle, Priest got tired of the games and promptly followed a powerbomb with Martyrdom to secure the submission victory and avenge his loss from earlier in the season. Rating: *** Changes for Christian Priest: OVR + 5.16, XP + 604.23, minor damage to head Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR + 0.72, XP + 151.06, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION (5) Mel O'Hallister (6-5, OVR 520) vs. (1) George Mastachas (8-3, OVR 514)* With Nuclear winning earlier in the evening, the pressure was on Mastachas to duplicate the effort against O’Hallister. Unlike Nuclear’s opponent, O’Hallister was dangerous in his own right, if allowed a chance to build some momentum. Mastachas made sure he did everything he could to prevent O’Hallister from getting more than a couple of moves in at a time, even slowing the pace of the match considerably to be certain he minimized the number of mistakes he could make. The forethought paid dividends, as O’Hallister was never able to get Mastachas into Irish Clover territory, much less the Dream. It took five attempts before the Wrath of Zeus put an end to the proceedings, and Mastachas remains atop the Alpha Division with two weeks remaining, officially eliminating O’Hallister from championship contention. George Mastachas (9-3) def. Mel O'Hallister (6-6) via Pinfall (Wrath of Zeus) in 21:57. Norris had just barely gotten Blackfield to the point where a Boomerang DDT might be in the works, only to walk into a Scotland Destroyer—I mean that literally; Norris was so concerned about the submission finisher that he forgot this was a thing. Twelve minutes and change later, exit The Juggernaut, stage left, with another victim under his belt. Brian Blackfield (11-1) def. Billy Norris (5-7) via Pinfall (Scotland Destroyer) in 12:23. Rating: ** Changes for Brian Blackfield: OVR + 4.10, XP + 631.73, no notable damage Changes for Billy Norris: OVR -0.07, XP + 157.93, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION (1) Lance Heartilly (9-2, OVR 441)* vs. (2) Monty Dhillon (9-2, OVR 522) An executive decision was made the day before the taping by League Commissioner/owner Will Prydor to put this match on last. It’s not that often that the top two wrestlers in a division face each other this late in the season, with a division title and even possibly promotion at stake given Kichi Hida lurking in the wings. Prydor would say in the press phone call afterwards that he expected this to be the actual Match of the Night. Instead, it turned into a squash. … You’re expecting the author to say that Heartilly did the squashing, right? Think again. Monty Dhillon got into Lance Heartilly’s head before the bell even rang, as Dhillon came to the ring dressed up as a Canadian Mountie to observe Halloween. Heartilly took offense to this—as if facing a Canadian who excelled in the power game instead of pure technical wrestling wasn’t enough of an affront to him—and pie-faced Dhillon before the bell. That was really the last bit of hope that Lance had, as he seemed to be unable to take Dhillon seriously and landed only eight offensive maneuvers for the entire match to Dhillon’s seventeen. It took just five minutes for Dhillon to end things, with three usages of the Hammer Mill preceding a 1346, a stump piledriver, and then the Empire Bomb. Dhillon takes control of the Delta Division lead, and has the tiebreaker over Heartilly and (for the moment) Hida. I’m just saying there’s a chance… EDIT 2: All 16 matches have been run in a marathon 3.5-hour sitting. Only a 3* MOTN this week, but that got the nod by only a fifteen second margin. Some close matches and only a few 1 star bouts this week. At work tomorrow I’m updating my clinch simulator since that’s the (technically) more powerful CPU I have available to me, and that’ll help me eyeball other ways for clinching to happen on either end of a division.

Based off of events this morning, I am sorely tempted to convert Devil’s Delight into a parking meter maid and job her out. Freaking parasites ticketing me for legally and properly parking at my residence…. Rant aside, predictions. ALPHA: Mastachas, Nuclear, Brandy, Mastodon. Top 3 do what needs to be done, and this sadly eliminates O’Hallister from contention…who was one of my favorites to win it this season. BETA: Blackfield, Nakamatsu, Wassermann, Weathers. The Juggernaut cares not for your dreams of chaos. GAMMA: Priest, Molina, Rose, Gibson. The race for second heats up as Priest locks in a division title. DELTA: We, the fans…you mean that’s not allowed? Fine… Dhillon, Hida, Onoo, Nocturne. Because of division and popularity/OVR disparity that match is scheduled to run in the middle of the card. I may pull an executive decision and run it as the main event. We’ll see.

CLINCH SIMULATION REPORTING After Season Ten, Week Eleven: Three weeks remaining POSSIBLE SCENARIOS REMAINING PER DIVISION: 4,096 (16 x 16 x 16) AUTHOR’S NOTE: When I mention “tied for second” or “tied for seventh”, I mean any scenarios where whomever wins/loses the tiebreaker would be in second or seventh place in the standings, respectively. As an example: if the bottom of a division had 5-9, 5-9, 5-9, 1-13 for positions five through eight, all those 5-9 records would be considered “tied for seventh” and thus at risk of relegation depending on who lost the tiebreakers, even though the common parlance is “tied for fifth” as that’s the highest one could reach. On the upper half, a look of 9-5, 9-5, 9-5. 6-8 would have the top three positions technically “tied for second” in my outlooks below, even if whoever lost the tiebreakers would not be promoted. Keep this in mind especially for Delta Division, as the drop to Omega happens from fifth-place on down for GMPCs. ALPHA DIVISION—LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP After the events of Week Eleven, and the four-star main event, the momentum shift has gone in favor of the reigning League Champion. Nuclear Templeton saw his chances double from last week, as he is now the front-runner in projections with 2,502 out of 4,096 scenarios in which he at least ties for the best record. In the outright winner, no ties outlook, a little more than a quarter of the scenarios give him a second League Championship without resorting to tiebreakers. The man he defeated, George Mastachas, suffers only a minor setback and is now only slightly worse than Templeton in the odds department. What’s important to note, though, is that Mastachas holds the tiebreaker over Nuclear, so some of these numbers may be misleading. Another week at the minimum is needed to help narrow down the scenarios where tiebreakers come into play. The only other person to improve their chances is the Season Eight Champion, Brandy McDonald. Her upset victory over Mastodon more than tripled her chances…to a robust 164 scenarios and only 2 outright. Despite his loss, O’Hallister still barely outpaces McDonald in terms of odds, and would need as much of a miracle to get back into true contention by Week Fourteen. The author does wish to note that at present, eight scenarios exist that end with a five-way tie atop the Alpha Division at 8-6. There are only 64 scenarios existing where he escapes even being tied for seventh place. His victory over the Right Reverend may have cost Gross his chance at avoiding relegation, though. In almost 3,700 scenarios, Gross finishes tied for seventh or worse. His best hope at avoiding the drop for a second time is to pray for De’siree Mitchell’s collapse, as she is only one win ahead of him in the standings. He would need either O’Hallister or McDonald to lose all three of their remaining matches, win all three of his, and possibly get some help in order to bring either of the mid-table wrestlers into danger, which doesn’t seem likely. At this point it appears to be a three-person race to get to safety in sixth place. Sixteen scenarios exist where fourth through seventh places tie at 6-8 and must go to tiebreakers to determine who drops into Beta. More likely, though, is a simple bottom two with no tiebreakers—over 71% of the scenarios end with the bottom two clearly marked for relegation. His victory over Pulsar eliminates all doubt, as with a four-match lead and three weeks to go, he has clinched his third divisional title in as many seasons and will be moving to Alpha in Season Eleven. As for who’s joining him? The field gained a little more disparity after Week Eleven, with only one person knocked out of contention, and two front-runners ahead of the rest of the field. Yoshii Nakamatsu and Jean-Paul Ouilette sport identical odds to finish at least tied for second place, with the final tiebreaker yet to be determined between them. There’s a large gap to the 5-6 crew, and even the current seventh-place holder, Pulsar, has a shot of advancing. Only Big Scott Weathers has been eliminated from the promotion hunt as even if he wins all of his remaining matches, he cannot catch either of the people at 6-5 since they still have their rematch coming up later this season, and so one of them will have at least 7 wins. More than half of the remaining scenarios see a clear second-place finisher without the need of tiebreakers. Crave chaos? Two scenarios still exist where second through seventh end up tied at 7-7 (a six-way tie!), and affect both promotion and relegation. Here’s how events must go down for this ultimate chaos to happen: Week 12 Winners: Wassermann, Norris, Pulsar, Nakamatsu. Week 13 Winners: Norris, River, Pulsar. Blackfield/Ouilette can go either way but affects Week 14 Week 14 Winners: River, Pulsar, Wassermann. If Blackfield wins Week 13, Ouilette must win here. If Ouilette wins week 13, Weathers must win here. Pulsar still stands as the most likely to join him (3,043 out of 4,096 scenarios), but those people who now sit at 5-6 each have 30+% odds of finishing tied for seventh place or lower. Of those, only Billy Norris sees this as an improvement, going from just worse than even odds to just over 30%. There’s still a lot of flux in this division, though most of it has now shifted to the lower end of the standings as everyone not nicknamed The Juggernaut can still end up being relegation bait at this point of the season. I mentioned above that utter chaos can still happen with a six-way tie for second/seventh place. The odds though favor a clear “loser” in seventh place without tiebreakers, at just over half the scenarios remaining. At worst, he finishes 10-4. At best, the current third-place people can finish 9-5. Since Priest cannot drop below either third-place wrestler in the final standings, he’s secured his ticket to the Beta Division. Another win, and he’ll do so as the Gamma Division champion. The week eleven fallout brings a positive swing in outlook for Indigo Rose, and a sharp downturn for Lucas Molina and Diego Rodriguez. Rose is now the favorite by far to finish in second (or even tied with Priest for the division lead!), in 3,164 of the 4,096 scenarios. Aside from Rose, only Rodriguez and Molina have over 1,000 scenarios in which they finish tied for second. The longest shot remaining is Erick Gibson. Exactly 4 scenarios out of 4,096 see him move to 7-7 and possibly be relevant for a promotion. A five-way tie can still happen for second place, at 7-7. Those wanting chaos in the Gamma Division need to hope that this exact series (and ONLY this series) of events happens: Week 12 Winners: Stevens, Gibson, Molina, Clay Week 13 Winners: Priest, Rodriguez, Gibson, Stevens Week 14 Winners: Diamond, Gibson, Priest, Clay. Though it’s far more likely that second place is clear, whether tied with Priest at 10-4 or ahead of the third-place finisher by a match or more. The loss to Markus Clay not only eliminated any long-shot chances she had of winning promotion, it may have also doomed her to the Delta Division for Season Eleven. She finds herself with nearly-identical odds as Clay of finishing tied for seventh or worse. No one else in the division has at least a 50% chance of dropping, though one person is just under that mark. Unless either Diamond or Clay get on a hot streak to end the season, they’re the most likely to be going to Delta. Not as much chaos available on the lower end of the division, though, as a four-way tie at 6-8 is the best that can be offered (64 out of 4,096 scenarios). Right now, second-place is 9-2 (as is first place), meaning at worst second-place is a 9-5 record. The best that Jun Onoo or Nocturne can manage is 8-6. So it comes down to two PCs and a GMPC for the right to escape the Delta Division. Lance Heartilly’s chances took a minor dip, while Monty Dhillon’s and Kichi Hida’s improved just slightly. Hida is likely to need one more Heartilly loss that she can capitalize on in order to promote, but as of this moment it’s still likely to be Heartilly and Dhillon who move on. Two-thirds of remaining scenarios make it clear who’s promoting without the need to determine a tiebreaker between the second and third position. The other third (1,312 scenarios) have the top three all finish tied with each other. It’s not perfect since it’s working off of fifth-place or worse, and does not account for Primary PCs being in that bottom half (who are exempt from relegation to Omega). But it’s better than nothing. We all knew that Devil’s Delight was sure to be dropping to Omega. Being winless after Week Eleven was a sure sign of it. What I wasn’t expecting is that Jun Onoo, Nocturne, and El Tornado all have a shot at escaping the bottom half of the standings and thus being sent to Omega next season. Scott Stevens should consider himself lucky that he has an exemption clause in his contract that prevents him from dropping into Omega, otherwise he’d be the third-most-likely to drop a division. Most surprising of all, though, is that Kichi Hida, who is not eligible for demotion into Omega as she is listed as Eternal Phoenix’s primary character, could end up tied for fifth-worst record or worse in exactly 16 out of 4,096 scenarios (basically everything where she loses all three bouts remaining, and Onoo/Nocturne win all three of theirs, which would tie third through fifth at 8-6). I do not see that being a likely occurrence though. THE LEAGUE: SEASON TEN, WEEK ELEVEN DELTA DIVISION (7) El Tornado (3-7, OVR 442)* vs. (5) Scott Stevens (4-6, OVR 419) A rather poor opening bout, suitable mainly for a warmup act and nothing more, this featured Stevens having an advantage for the opening minute, and then losing all momentum as Tornado sped his way past the Texas native en route to the season sweep. Otherwise, there really wasn’t much to report on in this match—it was rather dull and lifeless throughout. El Tornado (4-7) def. Scott Stevens (4-7) via Pinfall (springboard guillotina) in 5:22. Rating: * Changes for El Tornado: OVR + 2.61, XP + 442.36, no notable damage Changes for Scott Stevens: OVR -0.80, XP + 110.59, no notable damage DELTA DIVISION (6) Nocturne (4-6, OVR 416)* vs. (1) Lance Heartilly (9-1, OVR 440) The first contest between these two, in week seven, was a Match of the Night contender that went over fifteen minutes in a normally hectic Delta Division. This time around they managed to condense a similarly technical match into twelve minutes and still maintain Match of the Night contendership (though it would ultimately be third-best for the week). Heartilly was the first to try to end things, attempting his Hellacious Leglock on multiple occasions but finding no purchase on the hold as Nocturne seemed to have the counter for every attempt. Likewise, Nocturne’s one attempt at the Midnight Solstice went for naught as Heartilly had it scouted. But when Heartilly tried for his Arm Breaker, failed, and ate a short DDT, it was Nocturne who surprised the crowd by kipping up, doing a forward roll, and immediately grabbing the ankle of Heartilly, grapevining it as the ankle lock was cinched in. Heartilly had to tap a few seconds later, being dead center of the ring, and Nocturne proves that week seven was not a fluke as she becomes the 2 in Heartilly’s 9-2 record! Nocturne (5-6) def. Lance Heartilly (9-2) via Submission (Midnight Solstice) in 12:02. Sadly, Clay never got that memo. What followed was Clay dominating the offensive output two-to-one, and Diamond never even got to the point where she could attempt to unleash the Jawjacker. Instead, a simple top rope clothesline would be enough, and Clay not only avoids the sweep but also claims the tiebreaker over Diamond due to over four minutes of saved time. The League Original is in deep, deep jeopardy after so sudden a loss. Markus Clay (3-8) def. Diamond (3-8) via Pinfall (top rope flying clothesline) in 7:55. Her sister never got involved except for shouting encouragements, and at one point Delight even landed Hellborne Rising on the right arm of Dhillon, looking to at least weaken the Livewire Lariat if not either of his finishers. When she failed to lock in Purgatory’s End on two occasions, she had left enough of an opening for Dhillon to claw back into the contest. Two minutes later, the fact that she controlled most of the first half of the bout was irrelevant. The Livewire Lariat may have missed, but a Hammer Mill into the Blockade Lock was enough. Delight was left with no choice but to submit, and Dhillon takes advantage of Nocturne’s victory to pull even with Lance Heartilly atop the division. The division lead is at stake next week as Dhillon and Heartilly are set to lock horns in Week Twelve! Monty Dhillon (9-2) def. Devil's Delight (0-11) via Submission (Blockade Lock) in 9:08. She then proceeded to knock fifteen seconds off of that time tonight as she systematically cut Onoo down to size. Onoo got a little offense in, otherwise this may have been the first 2:xx match in modern League history. This was more of the same, a technical bout that didn’t wow the audience. Then again, it’s never been said that Molina was here to entertain people. Rose at least makes an attempt at it, though there was decidedly less of that in this bout as she had to fend off Molina’s offense from all angles. One mistake too many was all she needed, though, and Blood from a Rose led into Vite d’Indaco. Molina to his credit at least held on until after the fourteen-minute mark before he tapped, ensuring that he would win a tiebreaker if it was needed. However, on this night, Rose vaults ahead of Molina in the division with three weeks remaining! Indigo Rose (7-4) def. Lucas Molina (6-5) via Submission (Vite d’Indaco) in 14:05. Gross seemed to fade off after four minutes, clearly still feeling the effects of last week’s battering at the hands of Nuclear Templeton, and Simmons capitalized on this. He would go on to prove all the nay-sayers wrong as a simple powerbomb bridged into a pin was enough to keep Gross down for three, and that loss may have sealed Gross’ fate to be relegated to Beta for the second time! Daniel Simmons (2-9) def. Reverend Johnny Gross (3-8) via Pinfall (powerbomb pin) in 10:58. Weathers’ hope spots ultimately led nowhere, and Yoshii maintains his spot in the standings for the moment with a win. Whether he’d remain there due to tiebreakers was yet to be determined, however. Stevens had Diego within Meltdown territory at that point with a furious offensive assault. Rodriguez clawed his way back in little by little, and by twelve minutes into the contest he had Stevens looking out for the Prelude to Dissonance. Then the ref got taken out by a reversed whip to the corner, and Rodriguez pressed the advantage even more, laying in strikes and even hitting the Prelude to Dissonance. The problem, though, is that the Maple Leaf Meltdown can come from nowhere, and in a hurry. Stevens connected just as the ref regained his senses, and a three-count led to a minor upset as Stevens prevents Diego from capitalizing on the Molina loss! Terrance Stevens (5-6) def. Diego Rodriguez (6-5) via Pinfall (Maple Leaf Meltdown) in 15:43. Rating: ** Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR + 4.29, XP + 560.68, no notable damage Changes for Diego Rodriguez: OVR -0.08, XP + 140.17, major damage to head BETA DIVISION (5) Angela Wassermann (5-5, OVR 469)* vs. (3) Jean-Paul Ouilette (5-5, OVR 504) A Match of the Night contender (and clubhouse leader for that honor for most of the real-life week, up until Friday night), Ouilette had to come from behind in this one. Wassermann had him rattled in the opening few minutes, and she pressed the attack when she could at every opportunity. Around ten minutes in, she managed to bust Ouilette open hardway with a hard knee strike to the forehead, and things looked bleak for the Frenchman. But Wassermann could not seem to get Ouilette grounded long enough to attempt her cross arm breaker, and Ouilette would take advantage of that opportunity. A few strikes, a Fleur de Lis, and a Le Petit Mort that almost looked desperate was enough to keep Wassermann down for three. Ouilette pulls out the win, and Wassermann pulls defeat from the jaws of victory. Jean-Paul Ouilette (6-5) def. Angela Wassermann (5-6) via Pinfall (Le Petit Mort) in 12:48. The one big surprise in this bout was The Acolyte actually managing to interfere, preventing a top rope clothesline, AND not getting caught in the process. Even that would not be enough for River to win, as Norris got lucky with a springboard senton for three. River is prevented from joining Nakamatsu and Ouilette at 6-5 in the division, but still remains within grasping distance of promotion with three weeks remaining, while Norris gives himself a much-needed boost in his quest to avoid relegation. Before O’Hallister could get any sort of significant offense in, Mitchell had him eyed up for an All Out Blitz. It’d take her a few minutes to finally deliver on it, while busting O’Hallsiter open and never being in any significant danger herself. Not quite a squash, but not really competitive either, Mitchell may have just eliminated any hope O’Hallister has of squeaking out a League Championship! De'siree Mitchell (4-7) def. Mel O'Hallister (6-5) via Pinfall (All Out Blitz) in 14:12. In a lengthy squash, she dominated Mastodon from bell to bell, never letting the big man get more than three moves in a row. What was even more surprising is that after failing to lock in Hair of the Dog, she immediately responded with Brandy with a Twist, and Mastodon simply did not get his adrenaline rush that many expected. McDonald was quick to capitalize and a few seconds later she had dealt Mastodon his biggest blow to overtaking George Mastachas for the division lead! Brandy McDonald (6-5) def. The Mastodon (7-4) via Pinfall (Brandy with a Twist) in 8:19. The Alpha Division is officially put on notice: Brian Blackfield is coming, and he has no intentions of slowing down! Brian Blackfield (10-1) def. Pulsar (4-7) via Pinfall (Scotland Destroyer) in 13:40. Rating: ** Changes for Brian Blackfield: OVR + 4.17, XP + 632.53, minor damage to head Changes for Pulsar: OVR -0.07, XP + 158.13, moderate damage to head GAMMA DIVISION (5) Erick Gibson (4-6, OVR 483) vs. (1) Christian Priest (9-1, OVR 560)* Gibson’s plan of attack, encouraged by Karen McClure at ringside, was to make Priest come to him and strike when the openings presented themselves. All in all, not really a bad strategy—he actually controlled a fair bit of the match using this stratagem. Naturally, the downside is that his opponent was Christian Priest, and the head of the First Church of Wrestling eventually had enough of the games and bulldozed through Gibson. McClure managed to stop a Canonized by tripping up Priest, but less than thirty seconds later he had fired off another one, this one connecting. Gibson put up a good fight, but it wasn’t enough as Priest prevails in this Match of the Night contender. In addition, due to Molina being upset earlier tonight, the win ensures that Christian Priest earns promotion and now only needs one win in the next three weeks to clinch the Gamma Division championship! I’m going to take a guess and say Mastachas based solely on the fact that he’s ahead of Nuclear in the standings. Templeton has had…mixed success, let’s say, with making comebacks and fighting from behind. I think Mastachas takes this and gives himself a commanding lead in the division going into next week. Bob Sinclair: Bold choice, Frankie. We’ll see how it pans out as senior official Jacob Smalls calls for the bell, and our main event is underway! Bob Sinclair: A fairly even opening few minutes here. I wasn’t expecting much different from these two. Frankie Garnett: Indeed, Bob. But something to remember, not only does Nuclear need this to keep his hopes of a repeat alive, he’s also fighting the clock. He needs to beat Mastachas in less than 20:23, otherwise Mastachas will hold the tiebreaker no matter what. Bob Sinclair: We have seen sprints here tonight—Kichi Hida in particular—but that seems a tough time to beat given the caliber of these two, Frankie. Frankie Garnett: Just a bit, though Nuclear can pull it off when the motivation and opportunity are there. Bob Sinclair: Frankie, if you’re George Mastachas, what’s your strategy at this point? Frankie Garnett: The clock is your friend. Slow the pace down. Even if you lose some fifteen minutes from now, you’ll have the tiebreaker and that may be crucial heading into the end of the season. Sure, the win would be better since you’re all but eliminating Nuclear from the equation, but even maintaining a little advantage is just as important! As I write this, there are three PC matches that need to be run, and one of them (at least) gets run in a few hours after work as I got training instructions first thing this morning. The clubhouse leader for Match of the Night is a Beta Division bout, just shy of 13 minutes. The runner up is a Delta Division contest. I’ve already started updating the clinch simulation sheets and…well, if you want MAXIMUM CHAOS(tm) then you may be in for a treat when that write up gets posted on Sunday.

Back to a regular schedule this week, which means…prediction time! ALPHA: Nuclear, Brandy, Mitchell, Gross. The first two matches are rather even over a career and I don’t see that changing now. Mitchell seems to have Mel’s number, and I do not trust Simmons at all the remainder of this season. BETA: Blackfield, River, Ouilette, Nakamatsu. Doing something unusual and not taking any upsets this week. Each of the top 4 win their matches and the only thing that solidifies is Blackfield clinching the division. GAMMA: Priest, Rodriguez, Molina, Diamond. All are repeats of first time matches earlier this season. I see no need to try to rewrite history this soon. DELTA: Hida, Dhillon, Nocturne, Stevens. I admit, the “smart” money is on Heartilly over Nocturne but I BELIEVE, damn it all! EDITED TO ADD (because I forgot): This season I’m running Omega after the season ends. Reason for it this time is because my one-week staycation from work starts on November 10 and runs through the 19th. Week Fourteen falls on Nov 11-12 and that gives me a week to just jam out Omega stuff and start figuring out the aftermath before the holidays hit…which is the reason Season Eleven’s not starting until 2024.

CLINCH SIMULATION REPORTING After Season Ten, Week Ten: Four weeks remaining POSSIBLE SCENARIOS PER DIVISION: 65,536 (16 x 16 x 16 x 16) Please note: these numbers do not factor in tiebreakers unless specifically told otherwise! ALPHA DIVISION At the top half, this is George Mastachas’ championship to lose. In 72.04% of the scenarios, he finishes at least tied for the best record, and in almost 28,900 of those scenarios he finishes with the outright best record in the division, winning the League Championship without any of this tiebreaker chicanery. The second most likely is not The Mastodon, but Nuclear Templeton instead. The reigning champ can finish with a share of the best record in 31.73% of the scenarios, and stand alone with the best record in 8,152 cases (12.44%). The Mastodon ranks third in the scenario outcome, at 28.34% likely to at least share the best record and 9.45% to have the outright best record. Interestingly, Mel O’Hallister and Brandy McDonald both still have paths to the League Championship. Mel has a 9.25% chance (1.57% outright) of emerging with the best record. Brandy McDonald, the Season Eight champion, needs a miracle after her loss to O’Hallister in Week Ten. Out of 65,536 scenarios, she ties for or has the outright the best record in 768 of them (1.17%). In outright best record, no ties, she only has 4 chances. That’s a 0.0061% chance. In the race to avoid relegation, Daniel Simmons is almost locked in for that. He has a 98.24% of finishing with one of the two worst records; only 1,152 outcomes see him survive to wrestle in Alpha next season. De’siree Mitchell and Reverend Johnny Gross have identical odds of dropping: 64.33%. Brandy McDonald is mostly safe, at 8.91%, and Mel O’Hallister even more so, at 1.39%. Even The Mastodon (0.024%) and Nuclear Templeton (0.009%) are mathematically capable of dropping into the bottom two, though pigs are more likely to fly first. BETA DIVISION It’s going to take some sort of tiebreaker wizardry for Brian Blackfield to not promote to Alpha Division. There are scenarios where two other people tie The Juggernaut at nine wins on the season, at which point the tiebreakers come in to play. But all of that will be rendered moot if Blackfield wins any one of his next four contests. For that matter, there are possible scenarios where six people tie for second place in the division! Thus nothing is absolute yet, just almost so. For the record, the odds slightly favor Blood River (36.234%) over Angela Wassermann (36.215%), Yoshii Nakamatsu (36.163%), and Jean-Paul Ouilette (36.087%). No one is mathematically eliminated, as even Big Scott Weathers holds a 2.24% of at least tying for second place in the division. On the lower end, the odds are against Weathers to remain in Beta. He holds an 87.42% of having one of the worst records at season’s end (this includes tied for seventh place). Then it’s Billy Norris (56.57%) and Pulsar (56.06%). Even those currently with five wins still have over a 21% chance of dropping into a tie for seventh or worse. The Beta Division is going to be in flux for the rest of the season and may be one of the more intriguing divisions to watch with how close everyone outside of the lead is. GAMMA DIVISION Much like Brian Blackfield a division above him, it’s going to take some tiebreaker wizardry to deny Christian Priest a ticket to the Beta Division. He’s guaranteed to at least tie for second place, but clinching a promotion or a division title may not happen this week. There are too many moving parts to analyze for what’s supposed to be a quick overview of the upcoming four weeks. Behind Priest, both Lucas Molina and Indigo Rose have a 46.31% chance of at least tying for second, and Diego Rodriguez is right behind them at 46.22%. Even Diamond, currently in seventh place in the division, has a 0.05% of finishing tied for second—32 out of 65,536 scenarios. The only person who has been eliminated from the promotion hunt is Markus Clay. Clay presently has a 95.41% chance of finishing tied for seventh or worse. Diamond has a 74.22% chance of doing so. Erick Gibson’s and Terrance Stevens’ chances are half of Diamond’s (36.52% and 35.45% respectively), and even Lucas Molina has a 1.10% chance of finishing tied for seventh or worse. While not as fluid as the Beta Division, there’s still some things to watch for in Gamma as the season winds down. DELTA DIVISION Lance Heartilly has the best chances of promoting, finishing 98.14% of the scenarios at least tied for second place in the division. Monty Dhillon is close with 83.20%. Kichi Hida, currently in third place, ties for second or better in 42.68% of scenarios. Only El Tornado and Devil’s Delight are mathematically eliminated from the promotion race—even Scott Stevens (0.098%) and Nocturne (0.085%) have long-shot chances to move into a tie for second and look for tiebreakers to work their way, but they need Dhillon to lose all four of his matches and then extra help on top of that. Because Delta routinely drops more GMPCs into Omega than the usual relegation of two in other divisions, there is no “cut line” to determine who’s being dropped since PC finishing positions can also factor into that determination. Suffice it to say though that Tornado and Delight are most definitely out and will be in Omega for Season Eleven, with Nocturne a likely candidate and Onoo a possible one.

League Body Health Mechanic Characters enter The League with 100% health in all four body parts (head, body, arms, legs). Each match, the Director makes note of the “color” of body health that each participant ends a match at. Over the course of fourteen weeks, the accumulated damage (or lack thereof) determine how much health each body part loses in a season, which is applied to all characters at the end of each season. Because damage is not distributed equally—arms and legs are far less likely to suffer enough damage to change colors than the body and especially the head—the long-term figures are weighted to have the same colors generally do less to the head and body than to the extremities. These figures increase by 1% every consecutive season a person is on the main roster of The League to emulate the continual wear and tear of constant competition. In the absolute worst-case scenario—a person who starts with green health on all four areas of the body but ends every match of the season with red health on all body parts—they can be expected to lose the following amount of overall body health between seasons (without including fatigue penalties): Head: 11.20 points, Body: 11.20 points, Arms: 22.40 points, Legs: 33.60 points In actual practice, the arms and legs rarely lose any health, the body loses between zero to two points, and the head loses less than five points per season. As stats and skill sets improve the damage ratios may change; the above figures are current as of Season Ten. The Injury and Rest Roll—GMPCs After each season, GMPCs still on the roster roll 1d100 and compare the result to the total amount of damage their body has suffered. If the roll does not exceed the lost amount of body health, the wrestler is forced to rest for a season to recover. If the 1d100 roll is a natural 1, the wrestler suffers an injury during the offseason and requires surgery, forcing them to miss the following season. Promotions and relegations are affected by all changes which may result in additional people being promoted or relegated, or people thought to be relegated instead granted a reprieve and remaining in the same division. These rolls are made immediately after a season ends, though the results may be disseminated piecemeal over the offseason to allow for occasional thread bumps and discussions. This allows the GM ample time to process the changes to promotions and relegations before the start of the following season. Rolls are done using the RandBetween(1,100) command in Excel to generate an integer between 1 and 100, just like rolling a d100 or 2d10 as percentile dice. If the GM elects to use physical dice for whatever reason—mainly because he has a sack of them and hasn’t played with his clicky-clack math rocks in a while—a roll of 0 + 00 would equal 100. GMPCs are more likely to run themselves into the ground trying to keep their spot on the roster, and as such will not voluntarily sit out a season. Recovering Health—GMPCs GMPCs have two options available to recover their physical condition: Option 1: Rest. A GMPC who fails the fatigue roll, but not a critical failure, will sit out for a season to let their body rest. Their stats and condition are affected as follows: Recovers a portion of their missing physical health on all body parts, and their “fatigue” factor (the 1% increases mentioned above) is reduced to zero. The missing amounts are as follows: 60% of missing head health, 50% of missing body health, 40% of missing arm health, 45% of missing leg health. Wrestlers who rest for a season also gain an additional Trait Point (TP). They also lose a division for each season they sit out in this manner, as a way to keep the competition fluid and interesting throughout, as well as 5% of their Overall Rating. This OVR loss is to emulate the casual fan’s mentality of “if they’re not on my screen as often, I don’t care as much about them.” Promotions and relegations are adjusted in this instance to ensure the field remains at 8 wrestlers per division, which means that in some seasons more people promote, or fewer are relegated in order to keep the fields at a stable number. Where possible, the bias is to fill in from below. In the case of a wrestler returning from resting a season, extra relegation spots will occur as the returning wrestler demands “their” spot back on the roster and forces everyone else below them to adjust accordingly. Option 2: Surgery. This works similar to the Rest option above, is only called upon with a roll of a natural 1 on a d100, and contains a few changes: The body part picked to recover is recovered to 100% health. All other body parts recover as if Resting above. (For GMPCs, it is always the part that is missing the most health that gets the surgery done on it.) The character gains 2 TP instead of 1 (to reflect studying during downtime/bed rest). The base damage for the surgically repaired body part is increased by 30% (head, body). So anything that would take 1 point would take 1.3 points instead. This is to simulate the fact that wrestlers usually target the surgically repaired parts of an opponent as they are normally presented as a weak spot on a wrestler. Wrestler still drops a division while recovering from surgery, and all fatigue penalties reset. OVR decrease is bumped to 8% instead of 5%, to offset the additional TP and higher recovery. The PC Exclusive Recovery Option Because the GM imagines most players will be unwilling to sit out for 3-5 months while a season runs without them, an alternate idea is presented below that is exclusive to PCs only—GMPCs are barred from taking this action. If a PC elects to rest or have “surgery” using this option (which in this case is going to be hand-waved away in kayfabe as some sort of experimental physical therapy between seasons), the costs are as follows: For the equivalent of “rest,” 2,500 XP will be deducted from the character’s total. Recovery works the same as in the GMPC Rest option. This is equivalent to roughly half a season of XP income and would be paid for after 6 or 7 victories in a season. For the equivalent of “surgery,” 4,500 XP will be deducted from the character’s total. Recovery works the same as in the GMPC Surgery option, as does the base damage change to the “repaired” body part. This is closer to a full season’s XP earnings and would be cleared with a 10 to 12 win season. In either instance, these can cause the current totals to go into the negatives. PCs would be unable to train, improve their moves, or utilize a recovery option until such time as the XP balance is once again positive. Also in either instance, no bonus TP are granted (because the character is not actually resting or recovering), but neither is any OVR rating lost for the same reason nor is there any mucking about with adjusting promotion/relegation spots, as PCs retain their positions on the roster. PCs may elect to use the “traditional” rest/surgery mechanics outlined above, with all the same rules and effects as would happen to GMPCs—with the exception that a player’s primary PC cannot be relegated into the Omega Division. This would be in case a player knows they are going to be away from a length of time during a season and wants to not think about the thread until they return, for instance. The Moveset Regeneration Roll This is done immediately after a season for all GMPCs who have retained a roster spot in the League and who are not sitting out a season due to fatigue or surgery. Roll another d100 for each GMPC. On any result of an 81 or higher, the GM will redo the character’s moveset to take account of updated stats, using the automatic generation feature. If the result is 96 or higher, the GM will then personally tweak the automatically generated moveset to better reflect that character’s personality and complement their signature and finishing moves. An auto-generated moveset can be done every season; if a character rolls a personalized moveset they cannot change that moveset for three seasons (with the exception of adding additional signatures/finishers). PCs are exempt from this roll; players are encouraged to tweak the automatically generated movesets if they want to have their characters work as they envisioned. PCs will not have their movesets reset unless they specifically ask for it to be done during an offseason, in the event that their movesets are already set to what they want to use for their characters going forward. (This is a change from Seasons Nine and Ten, in than I would do all PC movesets unless they opted out. Now they have to opt in to get a new moveset.)

THE LEAGUE: SEASON TEN, WEEK TEN DELTA DIVISION TABLES MATCH (8) Devil's Delight (0-9, OVR 414) vs. (3) Kichi Hida (6-3, OVR 449)* An early Match of the Night contender and easily one of the better showings in recent memory for Devil’s Delight. Even with interference from her sister, it wouldn’t be enough, as the match saw Devil’s Angel throwing Kida off the top rope to stop a second attempt at Endless Carnival through a table (the first one missed and Kida stomped the table instead, which the referee rightly ruled was not Delight putting Hida through the wood and deemed the match must continue). It took Hida three attempts to finally put Delight through the table, her Endless Carnival preceded each time by a yakuza kick that eventually had Delight bloodied, and Hida starts week ten by keeping the pressure firmly on Dhillon and Heartilly atop the Delta Division! Kichi Hida (7-3) def. Devil's Delight (0-10) via Table Break (Endless Carnival) in 10:25. Rating: *** Changes for Kichi Hida: OVR + 5.16, XP + 525.42, no notable damage Changes for Devil's Delight: OVR + 0.72, XP + 105.08, moderate damage to head, minor damage to body DELTA DIVISION (5) Nocturne (4-5, OVR 416)* vs. (6) Jun Onoo (4-5, OVR 467) A vital match in the Delta Division, with its unique structure of “the bottom four are at risk of dropping to Omega at the end of a season,” this one would determine who had the best chance moving forward of sneaking into the fourth spot currently occupied by Scott Stevens. Nocturne played her hit-and-run tactics well, but got caught one time too many by the power game of Onoo. When she went for a flying forearm, and Onoo countered it into a press powerslam after catching Nocturne mid-flight, this one was over. Onoo splits the season series and gets the all-important tiebreaker due to a faster victory time! Jun Onoo (5-5) def. Nocturne (4-6) via Pinfall (press powerslam) in 8:00. Rating: ** Changes for Jun Onoo: OVR + 3.85, XP + 483.84, no notable damage Changes for Nocturne: OVR -0.07, XP + 120.96, no notable damage DELTA DIVISION (1) Lance Heartilly (8-1, OVR 436)* vs. (7) El Tornado (3-6, OVR 442) To Tornado’s credit, he kept it somewhat close. However, he was not prepared for Heartilly’s arm breaker submission. The tap came just a touch after seven minutes in, and Lance wastes no time securing his ninth win of the season. Lance Heartilly (9-1) def. El Tornado (3-7) via Submission (Heartilly Arm Breaker) in 7:06. Rating: ** Changes for Lance Heartilly: OVR + 3.80, XP + 483.41, no notable damage Changes for El Tornado: OVR -0.07, XP + 120.85, no notable damage GAMMA DIVISION (5) Terrance Stevens (4-5, OVR 467) vs. (8) Markus Clay (1-8, OVR 456)* A solid contender for Match of the Night, this one featured a lot of aerial offense from Clay, repeated superkick attempts from Stevens—one of which took out the official for a good two minutes—Clay missing the Johannesburg Express and still kicking out of the cover that ensued, and Stevens missing the Meltdown for a seventh time and Clay deciding that enough was enough. A springboard legdrop was enough to keep Stevens down, and Clay picks up his second win of the season by finishing the season sweep over Terrance Stevens. Markus Clay (2-8) def. Terrance Stevens (4-6) via Pinfall (springboard legdrop) in 17:51. Rating: *** Changes for Markus Clay: OVR + 5.71, XP + 608.67, moderate damage to head, minor damage to body Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR + 0.79, XP + 152.17, moderate damage to head, minor damage to body GAMMA DIVISION (7) Diamond (3-6, OVR 469) vs. (4) Indigo Rose (5-4, OVR 476)* Another solid bout in contention for Match of the Night honors, this was close throughout. Diamond fought with all the tenacity one would expect from someone trying to maintain her place in the Gamma Division, but Rose would wear down the League Original with several holds during the course of the match. The Italian connected with Blood From a Rose twice during the bout, and after the second one caused Diamond to start bleeding, Rose immediately went for a cover and got the three count. Rose continues a surprising season, while Diamond is going to need a lot of help to avoid spending Season Eleven in the Delta Division. Indigo Rose (6-4) def. Diamond (3-7) via Pinfall (Blood From a Rose) in 16:21. Rating: *** Changes for Indigo Rose: OVR + 5.60, XP + 607.78, minor damage to head Changes for Diamond: OVR + 0.78, XP + 151.94, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION (4) Scott Stevens (4-5, OVR 419) vs. (2) Monty Dhillon (7-2, OVR 513)* This could have been over at the five-minute mark, except that Cary Stevens got himself thrown out of the match to distract Dhillon from hitting an Empire Bomb. It didn’t do Stevens any favors, though, as Dhillon dominated the next two minutes anyway and then landed the Empire Bomb for the win, maintaining his spot for the time being. Monty Dhillon (8-2) def. Scott Stevens (4-6) via Pinfall (Empire Bomb) in 7:12. Because if so, you need to go buy lottery tickets. Molina never seemed to get out of the starting blocks, and despite gassing himself nearly to exhaustion by the time the final bell rang, Gibson steals a win from the man some call “ShooterTech” by simply going low on him while the official’s back was turned. The door is open for Diego Rodriguez to move into second place in the division if he can win later on, or for Indigo Rose to move up by virtue of winning a few minutes ago! Erick Gibson (4-6) def. Lucas Molina (6-4) via Pinfall (begging off low blow) in 9:30. Rating: * Changes for Erick Gibson: OVR + 2.78, XP + 510.81, no notable damage Changes for Lucas Molina: OVR -0.85, XP + 127.70, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION (8) Pulsar (3-6, OVR 465)* vs. (2) Blood River (5-4, OVR 496) One of the bright spots in Pulsar’s Season Ten is a victory over Blood River in the first half of the season. It only got brighter as he completed the sweep, giving The League a second consecutive upset. It was Pulsar’s use of the ropes that did the trick, as a springboard splash stunned River enough for the pin. While it’s not enough on its own to gift the Beta Division to Brian Blackfield—Wassermann can win and move into second place, potentially keeping the deficit at three matches—it will make the next match very interesting. A Wassermann loss, and a Blackfield win later, would put Blackfield in a position where he could clinch the Beta Division title in Week Eleven! Pulsar (4-6) def. Blood River (5-5) via Pinfall (springboard splash) in 6:54. Rating: ** Changes for Pulsar: OVR + 3.79, XP + 628.31, no notable damage Changes for Blood River: OVR -0.07, XP + 157.08, no notable damage BETA DIVISION (5) Yoshii Nakamatsu (4-5, OVR 494)* vs. (3) Angela Wassermann (5-4, OVR 468) Yet another Match of the Night contender. With Pulsar dealing River a stumbling blow, the path is open for Wassermann to assume sole possession of second place in the Beta Division. Standing in her way was someone she had lost to earlier in the season, and was seeking a win to create a multi-person logjam at 5-5 in the division. This was close throughout, though Nakamatsu fought the majority of the match from an attacking perspective. He was caught out by Wassermann working on the legs early, perhaps looking to weaken the knees to make the Nakamatsu Driver a non-factor, but he pushed through the pain and delivered two DEVASTATION Knees to Wassermann. The first netted only a one count, the second managed three. Nakamatsu finishes the season sweep of Wassermann, and it would remain to be seen later if that would be enough for Blackfield to clinch promotion to Alpha! Yoshii Nakamatsu (5-5) def. Angela Wassermann (5-5) via Pinfall (DEVASTATION Knee) in 14:22. Rating: *** Changes for Yoshii Nakamatsu: OVR + 5.45, XP + 685.71, minor damage to head and legs Changes for Angela Wassermann: OVR + 0.76, XP + 171.43, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION (6) Jean-Paul Ouilette (4-5, OVR 498) vs. (4) Billy Norris (4-5, OVR 496)* Winner here joins the logjam at an even 5-5. A Match of the Night contender, though you might not think it given Ouilette’s dominance in the early stages. Norris had to fight from behind for the majority of the match, only getting an advantage after a Boomerang DDT. He would be unable to follow up, and Ouilette eventually wore him down that a single Le Petit Mort attempt was all that was needed. Ouilette moves to 5-5, making a four-way tie for the second-best record in the Beta Division, and all eyes now turn to The Juggernaut, who with a win all but assures himself a place in the top flight next season… Jean-Paul Ouilette (5-5) def. Billy Norris (4-6) via Pinfall (Le Petit Mort) in 14:04. He fought like it, too, controlling the opening half of the match. Simmons found spaces to mount a comeback attempt or two, but Mastodon was simply too locked in tonight to fall for it. A spinning elbow blow sent Simmons to the mat for the count of three, and Mastodon continues to do what he can to regain the division lead and his shot at the League Championship. The Mastodon (7-3) def. Daniel Simmons (1-9) via Pinfall (spinning elbow blow) in 13:09. In fact, many feel that Mitchell was robbed as Mastachas pulled the referee into harm’s way to eat an All Out Blitz. The official would recover in time to see Mitchell thwart a Wrath of Zeus, but that only yielded two. A few minutes more saw Mastachas avoid another All Out Blitz and then connect with Olympus Rises, and a rather high cover just barely got three. Mastachas may have stolen one here tonight, and keeps ahead of Mastodon for the division lead with four weeks to go! George Mastachas (8-2) def. De'siree Mitchell (3-7) via Pinfall (Olympus Rises) in 18:59. Those allegations aside, Gross got next to no offense in before Nuclear eventually got tired of playing with his opponent and delivered a Radiation Spike through the table to keep himself nominally in the hunt! Nuclear Templeton (7-3) def. Reverend Johnny Gross (3-7) via Table Break (Radiation Spike) in 9:56. The winner keeps at least a slim chance of winning the League Championship, the loser is for all intents and purposes eliminated from competition. Frankie Garnett: This should be a good one, Bob. Nothing like a little season desperation to spice up a contest! Bob Sinclair: It’s hard to pick a favorite in this one. These two split the series a season ago, and McDonald won the earlier matchup this season. She does have a League Championship on her resume, but O’Hallister comes in with a slight advantage in popularity. Frankie, your thoughts? Frankie Garnett: I’m backing O’Hallister on this. After all, he was stubborn enough to get out of Beta in Season Eight, when only one promotion spot was there, and then not get relegated the following season. He’s got enough in him to out-stubborn a mule, and I think he’ll take this one to even the career series at two apiece. Bob Sinclair: Well said, Frankie. Folks, both combatants are in the ring and ready to go…there’s the bell and we are underway in this Alpha Division clash! Bob Sinclair: McDonald trying to work early on the stamina and conditioning of O’Hallister. Not sure that’s the route I’d consider. Frankie Garnett: Let me guess…the knee? Bob Sinclair: Exactly. It’s been a bother to O’Hallister for years now, ever since his days in the Irish Army when he injured it during basic training. That’s how it got injured well before he started his wrestling career. Frankie Garnett: You do mean the proper Irish Army, right Bob? Bob Sinclair: There’s another? Frankie Garnett: The Irish Rep— Bob Sinclair: No. I do not count them, they’re not a part of the Defense Forces of Ireland. Frankie Garnett: (sighs in relief) Frankie Garnett: McDonald seems determined to wear down O’Hallister early, Bob. Still think it’s a bad move? Bob Sinclair: I do, but then again, she’s a former League Champion and I’m just the play-by-play guy. She clearly knows more about what she’s doing. Frankie Garnett: In any case, McDonald’s starting to break out some higher impact moves like that dropkick we saw. O’Hallister needs to get back in this quickly if he wants to keep a fighting chance! Bob Sinclair: Brandy McDonald has that one well scouted, Frankie. Frankie Garnett: When you only have two holds you’ve perfected, Bob, it becomes rather easy. Bob Sinclair: So you’re saying…what, that O’Hallister needs to develop more signature and finishing moves? Frankie Garnett: Not saying that at all. Only pointing out that if you have a limited “signature” arsenal, the opponents will know what to look for much easier instead of having to defend from six different directions with a variety of moves. Bob Sinclair: That may well be, but O’Hallister has done well so far with his arsenal of choice. Can he find another opening to take control away from McDonald coming up? Bob Sinclair: O’Hallister has that locked in, and deep! Frankie Garnett: I think too deep, Bob. All Brandy’s gotta do is reach her left arm pack and pull the right ankle of O’Hallister. Bob Sinclair: …good call, Frankie! McDonald does exactly that to escape the hold, but the damage may have already been done. When’d you start seeing details like that? Bob Sinclair: McDonald’s thwarted the Dream a couple times now simply by not allowing O’Hallister to get behind her, but this is a poor plan by O’Hallister to let McDonald just recover for a few seconds on the floor! I’ve already begun work on getting my “clinch simulation” spreadsheet updated for Season Ten, with GMPC bouts from this week already included. That write up may be a Sunday post, to bring new meaning to “Sunday Morning Quarterbacking” for The League, lol. I did learn a lesson last season in that trying to do five weeks out simply is not possible with my current technology. 1,048,576 possibilities in a single division hard locks any of my computers…if I tried to do all four divisions I’d fry something and then we wouldn’t have The League anymore…nor would I likely still have a residence after my PC melted down and caught fire.

At some point this weekend, I intend to post a full write up in the Rules thread on how the Body Health mechanic will work. You got a hint of it this season with Sterling Silver not appearing in Delta, and it’s part of the character summaries on the first page of this thread, but as the fatigue and wear-and-tear build up for everyone, it’s time that the full extent is laid out. I’m reasonably happy with the explanation and rules I’ve written out and that’ll finally be posted in the Rules/Signup thread this weekend. Accompanying that will also be a brief note on Moveset Regeneration and how I intend for it to work with 25 or so GMPCs at a time. I certainly do not have the mental bandwidth to redo all those movesets every season, so this will help note how and when those changes are made.

With Dynamite scheduled to air tomorrow during my usual match running time, I thought I’d get ahead of things and get some GMPC bouts run tonight. Problem is that I got through five of them before realizing I forgot to make predictions. 😡 So this will be one of my two drop weeks (along with Week 4) and I’ll be back to predicting things next week.

But the trip was safely completed save for a few new ulcers in my gut, and the TV works well. Had to spring for a new TV stand because what we had was literally four inches/12 cm too narrow, but that's marginal compared to the MSRP of the TV itself that I saved on. Anyway, I know that's not what y'all came here to read. So let's get right into what everyone came here for, shall we? --------------------- THE LEAGUE: SEASON TEN, WEEK NINE DELTA DIVISION (8) Devil's Delight (0-8, OVR 415) vs. (7) Nocturne (3-5, OVR 414)* Delight might be a professional project for Will Prydor, but his top student never let that stop her in this one. It was over quick and decisively in just under seven minutes, by submission. Nocturne (4-5) def. Devil's Delight (0-9) via Submission (Midnight Solstice) in 6:47. Rating: * Changes for Nocturne: OVR + 2.67, XP + 442.98, no notable damage Changes for Devil's Delight: OVR -0.81, XP + 110.75, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION CAGE MATCH (4) Scott Stevens (4-4, OVR 419) vs. (1) Lance Heartilly (7-1, OVR 433)* This only just avoid squash territory. Cary Stevens was reduced to being moral support only, but that didn’t do Scott any favors as Heartilly plowed through him. Stevens’ best offense in this one barely seemed to faze Heartilly, who decided Stevens wasn’t even worth a submission and casually climbed out of the cage after a shot to the groin. It certainly seems that barring a disastrous run over the next five weeks, Lance Heartilly will be in the Gamma Division for Season Eleven. Lance Heartilly (8-1) def. Scott Stevens (4-5) via Cage Escape (low blow) in 6:00. Rating: ** Changes for Lance Heartilly: OVR + 3.74, XP + 482.88, no notable damage Changes for Scott Stevens: OVR + 0.59, XP + 120.72, no notable damage DELTA DIVISION (3) Kichi Hida (5-3, OVR 444)* vs. (6) El Tornado (3-5, OVR 441) A rather short match to be in contention for Match of the Night, this one had Hida off to a very poor start as Tornado used his speed in the early going. By the time Hida got her senses back about her, Tornado had been thinking of using the ropes to aid his offense with springboards and the like. Hida put a stop to that in typical Hida fashion, battering Tornado down with a flurry of strikes and a pair of UFO Spin Elbows. A third one missed wildly, and as Tornado took Hida down with a lucha arm drag he went to the ropes for a springboard senton…only to miss, and for Hida to go into the cover looking to maybe steal one here. And steal one she did, as Tornado had knocked the wind out of himself and could not kick out in time. Hida keeps pace with the division leader, and now the pressure’s on Monty Dhillon to maintain his spot in the standings outright! Kichi Hida (6-3) def. El Tornado (3-6) via Pinfall (missed springboard senton bomb) in 8:20. She had Pulsar in trouble by seven minutes into the match, but the luchador put up a solid effort and made her work for the win. Which she did eventually get, after putting Pulsar into the tree of woe, stomping him repeatedly, and then applying the cross arm breaker almost as soon as he fell back to the mat. Wassermann gives herself some much-welcomed breathing room between herself and the relegation zone of Beta with the win. Angela Wassermann (5-4) def. Pulsar (3-6) via Submission (Wassermann Cross Arm Breaker) in 10:46. Rating: ** Changes for Angela Wassermann: OVR + 4.01, XP + 630.72, minor damage to head Changes for Pulsar: OVR -0.07, XP + 157.68, minor damage to head GAMMA DIVISION (2) Lucas Molina (5-3, OVR 462) vs. (4) Terrance Stevens (4-4, OVR 466)* Easily a Match of the Night contender, this one had Molina on the back foot for most of the opening seven minutes, as Stevens tried to turn a hot start into a sudden win. Molina would slowly grind his way back into the match though, and by thirteen minutes in the two were on roughly equal footing. The end came rather swiftly as Molina chained an inverted atomic drop into a stump puller, which Stevens refused to submit to. Undaunted, Molina got back to his feet and as Stevens did likewise, Molina unleashed the San Juan Buster to put the Canadian down for three. Molina may have just cost Stevens a shot at promotion this season, as he looks to maintain hailing distance of Christian Priest for the Gamma Division lead! Lucas Molina (6-3) def. Terrance Stevens (4-5) via Pinfall (San Juan Buster) in 16:09. Rating: *** Changes for Lucas Molina: OVR + 5.58, XP + 607.66, minor damage to head Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR + 0.77, XP + 151.91, minor damage to head and legs GAMMA DIVISION (5) Indigo Rose (4-4, OVR 471)* vs. (6) Erick Gibson (3-5, OVR 480) Another Match of the Night contender, this match saw Gibson off to a hot start. Keen-eyed viewers could see that Rose was trying to let Gibson wear himself out, knowing his stamina issues, and while Gibson still had some left in the tank by the ten-minute mark, it was far less than Rose had to call on. His Terminable Offense attempts kept coming in slower, and Rose eventually started to pour on the offense, with a short DDT chained into the Vite d’Indaco, and the submission victory. Much like Wassermann a division above her, Rose now has gained herself some breathing room from the relegation zone in Gamma! Indigo Rose (5-4) def. Erick Gibson (3-6) via Submission (Vite d’Indaco) in 16:22. Rating: *** Changes for Indigo Rose: OVR + 5.6, XP + 607.79, moderate damage to head Changes for Erick Gibson: OVR + 0.78, XP + 151.95, minor damage to head BETA DIVISION (3) Billy Norris (4-4, OVR 495)* vs. (8) Big Scott Weathers (2-6, OVR 472) Quite simply, Weathers needed this win if he wanted any realistic shot of avoiding relegation. He certainly fought like he knew this, too, as he took the offense to Norris early and often in this Match of the Night contender. Norris would get his licks in, and by the eight-minute mark both men were ripe for some heavy-handed moves. It was Weathers who would take advantage of a missed springboard splash from Norris to land a spinning elbow blow that only netted two. It was a set-up, though, as a Blackout happened immediately thereafter, and that netted the three. Weathers picks up a huge win but still is going to need to help himself further to avoid relegation this season! Big Scott Weathers (3-6) def. Billy Norris (4-5) via Pinfall (Blackout) in 10:57. Rating: *** Changes for Big Scott Weathers: OVR + 5.20, XP + 683.40, minor damage to head Changes for Billy Norris: OVR + 0.72, XP + 170.85, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION EUROPEAN RULES MATCH (7) Reverend Johnny Gross (2-6, OVR 488) vs. (6) De'siree Mitchell (3-5, OVR 482)* This was a Match of the Night contender based solely on its sheer length—it went twelve rounds, with the first fall happening in the tenth. It actually started during the Wassermann/Pulsar match on the other side of The Aerie, and was in progress when the cameras cut to it to start the ninth round. While people might be forgiven if they thought Mitchell had the innate advantage due to the breaks every five minutes, they forgot to consider that Gross literally went through an Iron Team match just two weeks ago and so was in far better shape to wear Mitchell out. And that’s pretty much what happened. Gross got busted open somewhere in the sixth round, Mitchell in the eighth, and the two continued to batter each other until a mistake by Mitchell in the tenth led to a Come to Jesus for the first fall, via submission. More back-and-forth over the next few minutes, but in the twelfth Gross looked to end things, and did so in a hurry with another Come to Jesus. Mitchell was too worn out by this point and had to submit, and while this is certainly not going to help Gross’ victory time tiebreakers the win is simply too important for him to consider the other outcomes at the moment! Reverend Johnny Gross (3-6) def. De'siree Mitchell (3-6), two falls to one, in 56:47. Many called Diamond’s submission victory over Rodriguez earlier in the season a fluke. She had a chance to back up the claims it wasn’t here, in a Submission match against one of the Gamma Division’s top technicians. Rodriguez stuck to his usual gameplan of holds to wear down his opponent, while Diamond looked to keep the speed a bit more up-tempo by using the ropes and her speed advantage. It all went horribly wrong for her after she landed a Jawjacker some thirteen minutes in, as she didn’t elect to go for her Florentine submission hold. She seemed determined to hit a 24 Karat Kiss before putting Rodriguez away, and the Spaniard took full advantage of that by thwarting the cutter enough times to get Diamond frustrated, and she ended up walking into a Prelude to Dissonance chained into Discordant Melody. The tap came soon after, and Rodriguez avenges his loss earlier in the season. Diamond finds herself in dire, dire straits with just five weeks to go. Diego Rodriguez (6-3) def. Diamond (3-6) via Submission (Discordant Melody) in 15:59. Rating: *** Changes for Diego Rodriguez: OVR + 5.57, XP + 607.56, moderate damage to head Changes for Diamond: OVR + 0.77, XP + 151.89, minor damage to head DELTA DIVISION LAST ONE STANDING MATCH (5) Jun Onoo (4-4, OVR 466)* vs. (2) Monty Dhillon (6-2, OVR 508) This very nearly was a six-minute squash. Dhillon hit a low blow and waited for Onoo to stand at the count of 8. A Livewire Lariat followed that, and this one went to nine. Dhillon hit a strong gut buster and looked ready for an Empire Bomb, but Onoo would fight back and control most of the following three minutes. It wasn’t until Dhillon avoided an IMPACT Driver that he knuckled down and finally hit the Empire Bomb. Onoo was not getting up from that, and Dhillon was halfway to the locker rooms by the time the referee got to ten. Dhillon avenges his defeat earlier in the season and now has his eyes set firmly on one person only in the Delta Division—Lance Heartilly. Monty Dhillon (7-2) def. Jun Onoo (4-5) via Last One Standing (Empire Bomb) in 10:37. Rating: *** Changes for Monty Dhillon: OVR + 5.18, XP + 525.52, minor damage to head Changes for Jun Onoo: OVR + 0.72, XP + 131.38, minor damage to head and body BETA DIVISION (6) Jean-Paul Ouilette (3-5, OVR 494)* vs. (2) Blood River (5-3, OVR 496) Ouilette has had River’s number, historically speaking. He is undefeated against the alleged cultist. That trend would continue in the first match in a while to not be a Match of the Night contender, as Ouilette—with some assistance from Cecile Corine who stopped a Sacrifice before it happened—moves to 4-0 lifetime against River after a swinging neckbreaker trademark was enough to keep River down. That loss may come back to haunt River later, as Brian Blackfield can just about clinch a division title with a win later on! Jean-Paul Ouilette (4-5) def. Blood River (5-4) via Pinfall (Fleur de Lis) in 10:25. Rating: ** Changes for Jean-Paul Ouilette: OVR + 3.99, XP + 504.40, minor damage to head Changes for Blood River: OVR -0.07, XP + 157.63, minor damage to head ALPHA DIVISION SUBMISSION MATCH (8) Daniel Simmons (1-7, OVR 496) vs. (5) Brandy McDonald (4-4, OVR 508)* Simmons, on paper at least, had an outside shot at pulling the upset. After all, he has an ankle lock submission finisher. The problem was, the former League Champion also has a submission finisher and she did not hesitate to completely dominate Simmons in this one. This was just about a squash before McDonald ended it with Hair of the Dog, her bulldog choke finisher, and dooms Simmons to a losing season with his eighth loss in nine weeks. Then Clay missed a seated dropkick and Priest took over. A Rite of Might led to Judgement, and Priest continues his obliteration of the Gamma Division, staying one match ahead of Lucas Molina in the process. Christian Priest (8-1) def. In the opening minutes, O’Hallister seemed to have Nuclear’s number again—Franke Garnett on commentary wondered aloud if it was the rainbow wristbands that O’Hallister sported to the ring that maybe gave him the power—until about nine minutes in. That’s when Templeton unleashed his size and power advantage to bully Mel all around the ring. A strong gut buster led to a Radiation Spike, which in turn led to a Radiation Leak, and O’Hallister was too far from the ropes. It would turn out that this was a fortuitous move, as the match was competitive but lacking in any real energy. Blackfield connected with a full nelson legsweep and Nakamatsu landed forehead-first on the mat, legitimately knocking him out. The count was academic, and the show paused for a few minutes while Nakamatsu was tended to by the medical staff on scene. After the show Nakamatsu was tested for a concussion but cleared of any concerns. He would be fine to wrestle next week. Brian Blackfield (8-1) def. For George Mastachas, the time to beat is eleven minutes, twenty-six seconds. If he takes longer than that to pull off a win, the tie-breaker still goes to Mastodon. Frankie, your thoughts as we get ready for this match with championship ramifications? Frankie Garnett: Smart money’s on George Mastachas, Bob, but not within the time limit you just mentioned. Up until earlier this season, he’d never lost to Mastodon. His average time of victory, though, was a little under thirteen minutes, with only one match beating your time to beat. Bob Sinclair: And when did you start figuring out these numbers and such? That’s not like you. Frankie Garnett: Remember my niece I’ve mentioned on-air a few times before? She’s helping me figure out how to maneuver and filter through The League’s official stats database as a reward for me trying not to be as bad as I was on-air before, Bob. So all of that is entirely due to her and I have to say, it’s actually enjoyable now that there’s a fair bit of records to look at. Bob Sinclair: We may be coming to rely on that a bit more as the season progresses, Frankie. Given what we’ve seen in the opening seven mintues, could it be possible that Mastodon may be working a more methodical pace just to ensure that Mastachas can’t win the tiebreaker on victory time? Frankie Garnett: That’s the impression I got, Bob. Mastodon’s more than just power and rage. He does have a mind for the ring. It’s just that most people think he’s one-dimensional, size and power only. It’s been that misunderstanding that’s gotten him to the top of the Alpha Division this season.
