  1. There are a few cases where patched stuff doesn't take for games that are already started but usually in those cases there's a remote help code added that you can use to apply the fix. I checked and there's not one for this so I imagine it should update just fine on it's own, but it's worth testing with old saves to be sure. I actually do vaguely recall a code for something related to auto-booking during the Public Beta? All those patch notes are gone now though so I can't confirm that.
  2. It's not a particularly well known part of the lore but in the C-Verse salt is actually considered to be sour.
  3. I definitely think it's true that people leaving the business entirely is a lot more rare in real life than in the game. There's certainly a lot of people that were gone for a loooong time and people could reasonably assume they had moved on. Paul Heyman left WWE in 2006 and it seemed like nobody could lure him back, he went ahead and started his own multimedia projects and talent agencies. Anyone making a current mod between 2007-2012 might consider him as having Left The Business and I don't think they could be faulted for it. Lot of examples like that. But I think the other issue is that Hiatuses do not adequately simulate this either. For a big promotion it's very easy to talk people out of them even if they haven't gone on for long. Atleast that's my experience. I'd probably make Leaving The Business an uncommon thing that mostly only occurs with particularly old workers who legitimately can't do much anymore or obscure ones who haven't been employed for a lengthy period of time. And for other situations maybe introduce a stronger version of the Hiatus (in addition the one we already have mind you) one they can't be lured away from but can only choose to come back from when they're ready. Presumably there would be a hidden random value for this, or maybe a range that can be pre-set. Within a year, 1-3 years, 3-5 years, 5 years+...
  4. Oh yeah, I can second Remmy Honeyman. When I first started my TCW save I quickly signed him, Simon Flemmingway, Ryan Powell and Shane Nelson to be my main heel jobber tag teams. Powell and Nelson are a pre-existing tag team and I renamed Flemmingway to Simon Salt so him and Honeyman could be Sweet & Sour. I eventually moved Powell and Nelson down to my dev company to give them a solid tag team and I've been gradually contemplating giving Sweet & Sour an actual shot because they legit have 80 level matches with midcarders even being Unimportant, so that's why I wasn't thinking of them earlier. But they're all good shouts for the role.
  5. He's too good to stay that way forever but I've got Dizzy G in my dev company and he's a go-to for squashes for me. Tiny, 22-year-old high flier with a Selling stat of 97. It's beautiful. His other performance stats are also silly high considering his experience.
  6. Does a tag team have to be active to gain experience from working together? I've been playing for years and I feel like I should know the answer to this but it's never really come up...
  7. Been thinking about this one a bit... Unique: This is a worker who stands as the exception to the rules. A very, very rare attribute. Essentially, it's someone who has caught on with an audience to the point where they're the one wrestler who can get away with doing comedy matches/deathmatches/sex appeal matches in companies where they're otherwise a death knell, as well as having their primary skills count to the fullest even in places where technical, high flying, hardcore ect. are otherwise set to not be well regarded. Something I was thinking about tying this to is those lucky enough to get a Legendary gimmick. Even then it wouldn't be a guarantee to get. It's meant to help with Yano-in-New-Japan kind of situations. I'm sure the product that best represents how New Japan usually does shows doesn't tend to facilitate his matches very accurately, but he does get over doing stuff no one else there would try. He's a worker they might not even sign if they first saw him today but he's connected with their audience. This could perhaps even have an effect on Owner goals, so this worker becomes an exception to the "don't sign/re-sign a wrestler with this style" rule.
  8. The patch log does in fact state that auto-booking lengths for matches and angles were altered, particularly for entertainment-based promotions.
  9. <p>This is interesting, because I always thought Flashiness referred to pure spectacle but not necessarily a skill at putting it into a match in a sensible way. Like if you wanted to define someone as a spot monkey their Flashiness would be very high but their Aerial stat would be much lower. That was how I interpreted seeing a lot of younger workers with high Flash and low-ish Aerial in previous games anyway. I realize psychology basically covers that concept in general but eh.</p><p> </p><p> As for this thread, 'flashy' in the way the Rock is flashy is more akin to having showmanship in the ring, which I think Charisma actually already represents. That's a stat with a few different uses.</p>
  10. I'd guess that the popularity of the workers doesn't match the size of the promotion in-game, probably a mod issue.
  11. It's pretty standard, the AI is very likely to steal in this one and since all the talent levels are super high that means a lot of early raids. I might suggest having companies at DAVE's size be more uniform in using written, non-exclusive contracts. This is something that wasn't a thing back in the TEW2005 days and I believe this game's AI is balanced with it in mind. I feel like these kind of contracts suit that level of promotion and is actually fairly realistic for mid-sized companies these days atleast. The Iron Clad clause ensures they won't be losing half their roster at a moment's notice but still allows the workers to go to other promotions as well.
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Vocalite" data-cite="Vocalite" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47568" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>How do you know when your wrestlers are improving in their skills? I know in the TEW 2016 there was an indicator like "firstname lastname is improving in performance skills" but it's not in this game apparently. Do I just have to guess? <p> </p><p> I really want to improve their stamina levels (because they are in UEW and need to do STS shows that are over 20 mins regularly) so I'd really like to know how to do that as well, if anyone knows how.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> There's a drip feed system in this game rather than an instant one, that's why it doesn't notify you because it's not happening right away. The improvements come in slowly over time. Basically it requires more patience but I think overall it functions the same way, getting better via experience and working with superior workers, you just have to wait a bit longer to see results.</p>
  13. You can turn off Strict Storylines in the Options menu, which means you won't be required to do them regardless of product. It works the same as it did in 2016 I think.
  14. Something that I do a lot for guys I want to increase momentum for is put them in angles where the storyline success for them is set to "Major Success". You don't need to actually be using storylines for this to work, atleast that's what I've experienced. It's done wonders for me, there are people I've gotten from Neutral to Hot momentum whilst barely ever wrestling. You'll also want to generally make sure they're in good matches/angles, they also get boosts from strong performances and coming off well in general.
  15. It's actually possible to do this successfully with 20 minute matches if they have the stamina for it. Something I've found myself doing in 2020 that for some reason I never did in previous games is put on main event Steal The Show matches with Slow Build added to help curb stamina drains. These somehow feel like they'd be mutually exclusive but they're not. This has helped the folks that are floating around 80s in Stamina to not get the stamina warning. As for the match length penalty itself, I think it could use a rewording. What it should get across is that because of the shorter length it's NOT seen as an important match when in theory it could've been one. A star could theoretically have a significant match with anybody if you booked it to come off like one, and it would get a boost from being seen as an important match. But that's not to say it always has to be one, it's a choice you make with the way you time things out.
  16. I do think more options for whole-show autobooking would be a decent idea. But for now, if you auto-book matches one at a time you can set it to not do title matches that way. It's the default for that option actually. Not as fast as a whole show but it will eventually give you that result. As for auto-booking a whole show, you can also set it to not book any of your champions in the first place which would get around this.
  17. You can atleast turn your save into a database at the end of the month, edit it that way and restart from there.

I'm not sure if that's still around as a hidden feature or not, or if that was even more than fluff before in the first place but I definitely saw that come up a few times. Either way, making it a visible attribute, maybe hidden until one of those stories comes out, would be cool.</p>
  19. <p>I really appreciate this mod. So I want to give you a bit of help if you don't mind, I've started adding descriptions to championships. Title bios are actually something that I suggested myself so I'd really like for this to have them. </p><p> </p><p> These are largely copy/pastes from the default database but I'm correcting any discrepancies caused by the 15 year timeshift. For example Tadiyuki Kikkawa being the current cornerstone of the Burning Championship rather than a historical one. Many titles also haven't debuted yet so for those I'm writing it in a speculative, "this title is expected to be X" kind of language.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="qx4SFse.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qx4SFse.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  20. I've got a little diary project I'm working on and I wanna have a handful of original characters for it. With that in mind, I'd really appreciate seeing some re-renders of some CVFP randos, or be directed to pre-existing ones if they exist, just to make them feel more unique. No worries if it can't be done but it'd be a big bolster to me. <- This one I'd like to come off like a particularly small dude. <- A goofy grin kind of expression would be nice for this guy, I'd like a bit of a jovial big man with this look.

Bummer.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The gal stuck around, she's in USPW under the name 'Pariah' now.</p><p> </p><p> Tex Tagan is still in FCW as well. It was just Harvard that left.</p>
  22. Hearing of that period reminds me, in a 2001 post-WrestleMania X7 game, I started up my own indy fed and had quite a nice time with how crazy the free agent scene at that point was. My main headliners were guys like Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, the expected lot. But one of the unexpected breakouts ended up being Julio Dinero, who culminated in becoming my first-ever Intercontinental Champion.
  23. Early in a 1987 game originally starting the month of WrestleMania 3, I decided to send The Tonga Kid to developmental (after creating that) leaving his tag partner Haku alone. From there Haku got a big singles babyface push, going unbeaten in singles competition for almost the entire rest of the year. He won a tournament and became the first-ever WWF Television Champion, and managed eight successful defenses before Ted DiBiase took it from him. He's never quite been a PPV headliner but he remained a major name for the entire rest of the game, even got a WWF title match at a Saturday Night's Main Event once. Most recently he beat Andre the Giant in a big upset at WrestleMania V, in what is very likely to be among Andre's last three or four matches.
  24. It's just a Windows noise so I'm not sure what can be done about it. But the general suggestion is to mute TEW in your sound mixer. It doesn't have any other noise, this one isn't even intentional, so there's nothing lost from that. ...Okay nevermind that doesn't work it's a System Sounds thing. I dunno if you want to mute that necessarily but you can.
