Been gone awhile, still playing the game though. loving the sound of the new game and all of the new/upgraded features. I have a question about the recent post though. With the smarter ai and ability to put a preference on tag matches, will it recognize an existing tag team or will it still be randomized partners aka new tag teams. It's just always annoyed me to sign a tag team and send them to development only to have the promoter book them in different teams.

these are nice. how do you do the face paint? I've no experience with face paint or masks but i'd love to learn.
Let me just say that I love daz and after about an hour ago they probably love me. My entire wish list went on sale today, needless to say i have no wish list anymore...

The way I do it is to change the rendering aspect to 1:1 300 by 300 pixels and save your render as a .png file. That way, you're not losing a whole lot of detail when you resize the image. 300 by 300 is large enough that a straight headshot will fit on the background and small enough that if you do want to resize, you're only shrinking it by 10-20% in size.

I don't know what the bump and displacement are or where to go to lower them.
So i found that! Now i'm having a bit of trouble cutting onto the cverse background, The rendered image is way to big when i try to cut and paste (Using GIMP) it gets blurry and I can't for the life of me remember how to shrink down the " floating part ", i think is how i used to do it.

Is there a way to use the blank c verse background as a backdrop in daz?

It looks like either your bump or displacement is turned way up. Set them both to 0 and see if that fixes it.Yeah that's what I was looking for as far as your render settings. Just wanted to see if you were using default or cartoon render settings.
jt is probably right and that's why I wanted to see what your settings in the surfaces tab looked like.
Lower your bump and displacement as he suggested, also turn off velvet & frensel if they're on and see if that fixes it.
Are you using ubersurface or hss? sometimes they react poorly with certain lighting setups.
don't know what ubersurface or hss are. as far as lighting goes its whatever is default in daz. I don't know what the bump and displacement are or where to go to lower them. sorry for all the probably really simple questions but your help is appreciated.

What are your system specs you said that Daz crashed do you have a newer cpu?
I'm on an, in electronics terms, older laptop. According to the about your video card the render still falls in line with what it can handle though.
What kind of shaders are you using and what texture do you have loaded?Also, do you have the render style set as cartoon and are you using Daz or a third party rendering engine like Reality?
Do me a favor and post up a screen of your render settings, light settings and surface settings and I can have a look at it if you'd like.

The texture i believe was Caleb on top of M4++ , i just know he didn't look like a 100 year old man before the render.

not a re render per say but i wanted to post my last render i did i would guesstimate over a year ago:

That was done on Daz3d 3. something. i thought i had an understanding of what to do. I was skeptical when i first saw the original rerender thread like some of the other " lifers " on the boards but i tried my hand at one on daz 4, was attempting one of fearless blue, my favorite of the boys from the backyard, and was really happy with the way it turned out, it looked great. I hit render and then this happened:

Anyone know what i did wrong? Whats worse is i tried doing a progressive render and daz crashed out...

1) everything from Daz3d (and from the program Daz Studio 3) should work in Daz4. They happened to be made with the most compatibility with THAT particular program in mind these days.
2) you set the dials to whatever amount you like to make the morphed area look the way you want, essentially.
thanks i might have to install 4 before i get to far back into renderering:D and check out the learning curve compared to what i'm used.

So i took a long hiatus from creating renders... too long apparently. I re-installed daz3d downloaded but not installed daz4 a couple questions if you all don't mind...
1. Anyone know if everything from daz3d works on daz4?
2. I was attempting my first render in over a year and can't for the life of me remember how to get the morphs, morphs ++ and etc to work.
any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

I'm back I wanted to make my first return post something new that grinds my gears. Social Networking... Well that's not fair.... Facebook... again not fair... The people who use facebook.... let me be more specific. The people I know who use facebook. The people who ask me the same stupid question: " why don't you have a facebook?" The conversation no matter who its with goes something like this...
me: because i don't.
them: but its really cool. you can talk to all of your friends.
me: that's why i have a cell phone.
Its always followed up by this.
them: what about the friends you haven't seen or talked to in a really long time?
me: there's probably a good reason for that.
them: yeah but all your friends can see pictures of you and your kids.
me: the people i want to see me and my kids we go visit them.
So long story short if I know you don't try to convince me that social networking is so cool and everyone is doing it. I'm not and never will so NO NOT EVERYONE is doing it.

Another thing that grinds my gears that I just discovered first a bit of a background, I have sort of an OCD condition when it comes to video games. I have to complete it when I start, one of the reasons I like the Achievements they added with the new consoles, it gives me more to do. Well I'm about three matches away from completing the roster run through on UFC 2009, I check the Achievements list again and the only ones that will be left all need to be completed online:mad:
:mad::mad: **** that, I don't have xbox live not to mention the new one will be out in about 2 weeks. So now i will never be able to fully beat this game.So what grinds my gears, Online goals. I think they should only be tracked online if thats the case.

I'd like to chime in on the whole soccer/football issue and in doing so would like to quote Vic Henley, since I couldn't have said it anybetter:

So end result I think football should be football and American Football should be called something else entirely.

Being born in Alaska, when people find out I usually get the same response which is generally one of these three,
1. So you're an Eskimo - NO not everyone born in or who lives in Alaska is an Inuit.
2. I've never met anyone from Alaska before. For some reason they always feel the need to follow that up with: I've never been there before. Thank You captain obvious. If you've never met anyone from Alaska you don't have to tell me that you've never been there either.
3. This isn't a usual response but I thought it was funny as hell so I'll add it in : Wow, you're from Alaska? So you're not even American:confused:
Also here's something that grinds my gears but not in a way that angers me just one of those things that makes you go What The -?
Alaska is geographically attached to Canada. Yet it was purchased from Russia by the United States. I think Canada got the short end of the stick on that deal.

I've been waiting for this and thinking about what i would ask santa for, no use being selfish i said so i wrote:
Dear Santa,
May I please have a re-render for the PSW tag team and National championships. To match the awesome new red and black PSW Heavyweight championship. And lastly for all the good little girls and boys a generic Television Championship. With no logo not tied down to any particular promotion, free to roam around the wrestling community. Thanks for all your hard work in bringing joy to so many people.
P.S. If its not too much to ask can I also have an official Red Ryder B.B. Gun.
EDIT: I know there are already new renders of those belts but they don't say hardcore like the Heavyweight title does. Not to mention it fits the new PSW logo that i've used since my last failed diary in '08. Basically make the two titles more hardcore with the black and red emphasis. As for the TV title creative license as long as it doesn't have an actual tv on it

I don't get the ire behind smartphone. Is there another, more appropriate word available to describe a phone that does tons more than just make and receive calls? A lot of those words I agree with you on, but language has to grow to remain relevant. How many people do you know who still speak Latin? Assyrian?
Same way you move to another city. Take yer stuff and go. You can apply for a residency visa or apply for citizenship (though some countries require you renounce your prior citizenship) when ya get there.
Oh yes, I've considered it many a time, for several reasons CQI13 has stated.
its not so much the use of the word but the fact that they felt the need to add it to the dictionary. I see your point about language changing and i'm not against it but think of what that does to all those scrabble players out there. I remember way back when you couldn't use brand names etc and it always boiled down to if its not in the dictionary then you can't use it, well now every bleeding thing under the sun is going to be in the dictionary, they are soon no longer going to be able to print them out for personal use otherwise everyone is going to need a dolly or the world's strongest man to carry it around for them. Or a highly advance high powered magnifying glass to read the gigundously (see what i did there
) small print (look I even made it an oxymoron) they'll have to use. Forget about poket dictionaries.(all in sarcastic humor ^^)
As for the moving thing I had to ask because , then again this was several years ago , keep forgetting i'm old now, I had a history teacher who said he and his wife were planning a visit to Australia (even a few years before i had heard the story) he was told by his travel agent that he had to contact some representative somewhere. It was someone official title at some government building in Australia ( long ago and lots of green drug inhalation has caused me to forget the exact names) asked him what he did. He replied with: what do you mean what did I do. " Not what did you do. What do you do? As in whats you nature of profession." Oh I'm a history teacher. "Ok well we don't need any history teachers you can come to visit but you'll have to leave at the end of your vacation. We hope you enjoy our beautiful country."
I think he called it controlled immigration or something like that. I was wondering if this policy was still in affect or if there were other countries who follow this , if you don't have a job skill that we are in need of you can't move here kind of thing.

I don't think you're supposed to live on minimum wage. If I am to entertain that thought, it's certainly not set up for you to support a family (even just 1 other person). And that's what grinds my gears on the subject: When people say "I need minimum wage to support my family of 4 (or whatever)."
to the bolded its not supposed to cover you and someone else. when they figure the cost of living its per person. Cost of living is just like the cost of raising a child from infancy to the age of 18 ($250,000 college not included) it goes up every year. Where minimum wage may go up every 3 -5 if you're lucky. In my opinion the reason they don't account for an extra body when doing the cost of living is because that would cause the minimum wage requirements to sky rocket. Then it would be a domino effect like with the last minimum wage raise coupled with the " current recession " a lot of family/privately owned businesses went under because they couldn't support operating costs and a staff to do the operating.
Speaking of the trickle theory. That brings me to another thing that grinds my gears. For those that don't know the Trickle Theory or Trickle Down Theory is certain political parties view that if we make the rich even richer then the excess money will trickle down to the poorer classes of people which will in turn boost the economy, because with the extra money the poor people will go out shopping. Because everyone knows the rich don't buy anything I mean god then they would sell things like private air jets, $350,000 cars and homes big enough to house 4 families... Oh wait they do sell all of those things...
