I think they save his debut for TV in 2-3 weeks for the buzz.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Honestly i believe you can debut him whenever and the impact would be just as great but hay im down to wait. Maybe theyll drop a vignette to pump people up for the next month of TV.</p>
  2. We all know The Villain will be coming to AEW, the deal runs out November right? any chance well be seeing him this weekend at Full Gear?
  3. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BHK1978" data-cite="BHK1978" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25170" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I am not trying to be condescending here, I never know how people will interpret what I write, but how long have you been watching wrestling?<p> </p><p> I ask that because just in the early years of ROH they made it very sports like. The old NWA and AWA leaned more towards showing it as a sports. Heck even the WWWF and early WWF presented it more like it was a sport. Sure you would get comedy injected into the shows, but for the most part it was treated more like a sport. </p><p> </p><p> This seems like it is an agree to disagree topic so I will leave it at that. As I previously said, I personally do not like inter gender matches because it takes the realism out of the product for me. The key word is for me, I am sure there are others who feel that way as well and there are others who disagree. </p><p> </p><p> I did not like it when they did it with Chyna and I am not a fan of it now that it has become more normal (Though Chyna was far more imposing than Tessa). </p><p> </p><p> Neither side is right or wrong as it is a matter of taste. People are allowed to have diverse opinions.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I was born in 1996 and my main period of watching wrestling was 1999-2005 so im only young but even then its easy for me to find old school AWA/NWA footage and still then its fake as all hell so ive learnt that realism isnt something i seek when it comes to wrestling. Hell if i wanted to see real competition id watch MMA and i understand that back in the 80s, MMA wasnt a thing so of course Wrestling would have been the only source for that sort of thing.</p><p> </p><p> I watch wrestling because it fills the gap sports tend to miss and thats the Story. So in my opinion as long as the story is consistent and makes sense, im a happy man.</p>
  4. So you came on a thread about what wrestling shows you watch to run every company down and state you dont watch any wrestling - Thanks for your amazing contribution
  5. Not once in my life have i ever seen something that even closely resembles a "competitive sport" when it comes to wrestling and THANK GOD FOR THAT! IF it tells a story. BOOK IT. thats all that matters to me.
  6. Im pretty sure Trent just likes Trent and thats a good enough reason for me. Wasnt she was meant to come across as a hired actor? This segment had me rolling out loud from the mirrored kiss on the forehead from Jericho to the Bath with the Bubbly to the obviously hired actor. "The youngest AEW Champion in HISTORY!" Weve already seen Riho & Britt vs. Sakura & Bea so that would be another thing to complain about if it did happen. I was happy to see them give Shanna & Jamie more time because ive been really impressed by these two since they arrived. Much better then Britt & Nyla at least. So please more and more of Shanna & Jamie Hayter.
  7. I dont remember them saying anything about "modern mid-south" whatever that means and THANK GOD!
  8. Cody Rhodes has to be the hottest babyface in the business atm
  9. I might be the only one who really isnt sold on Ricky Starks, unless they have plans of pushing him as a douchebag heel.
  10. Im proud to say if it wasnt for Kenny Omega, I would not be a wrestling fan today (i watched a shit ton when i was a kid but growing up i grew distant and MMA took its place)
  11. Im desperately keen for Pentagon & Fenix to split and have succesful singles careers.
  12. Not a big fan of the NXT invasion leading into Takover because i thought Shayna was in the middle of a feud with Rhea and Dakota Kai? But now theyre working together i guess which makes me not keen to watch their takeover match
  13. <p>I love how AEW does whatever they want and dont follow the ridiculous "wrestling show" format everyone seems to want them to follow. </p><p> </p><p> As a wrestling fan of 20 years, the one thing that keeps me interested in AEW is the fact that i have literally no idea what will happen. </p><p> </p><p> For me, there is no such thing as bad or good in wrestling because its all stupid and none of it makes sense anyway and thats why i love it.</p>
  14. <p>I only really make time to watch AEW.</p><p> </p><p> I want to watch MLW but theres so many things that hold me back but so many things that intrigue me. </p><p> </p><p> NXT is on the same time as AEW so I choose AEW because NXT aint on the network anymore. (and i cant stand watching wrestling/sports when its not live)</p><p> </p><p> New Japan Pro Wrestling is definetly my favorite wrestling show in terms of Wrestling but i just have so much fun watching AEW.</p><p> </p><p> Ive caught the first few episodes of NWA live but besides the first episode i have not been having a good time with NWA.</p>
  15. NWA POWERRRRRRR (Episode 4 - Thoughts) - James Storm v Cabana? Are we meant to like Storm because he comes across as a dick. - Why does Eli run in an try and motivate everyone? Is this his gimmick? I like him but this part of his character is just weird. - Nick Aldis is great and saves this segment. - Harley Race. Dory Funk. Ric Flair. but dont forget Ron Killings. - Joe Galli is a pest - go away heat from this guy - Yess! I love me some Trevor Murdoch this guy deserve the world title. - Evolve's JD Drake would be amazing here. - Murdoch v Jocephus was bad. - Not a fan of Aron Stevens new character. - Umm wtf? Ricky Starks & Aron Stevens? Are we meant to like one of these guys? - Dawsons vs Homicide and Kingston - I really dont like The Dawsons im hoping this is their last match in NWA and Homicide and Kingston can move on from these lumps - please end this match this is not fun. - I need to stop watching this show live so i can skip some of this shit (NO MORE DAWSONS!) - not a fan of the buddy-buddy dynamics in the womens division are these the best women wrestlers or Allysins Kays friends? - Marti Bell v Ashley Vox - i was just hoping Thunder Rosa would come and squash them both. NEXT. - and they introduce Thunder Rosa like that... - Aron Stevens should become Jocephus stunt double. - its good to finally see Aron Stevens wrestle! The show has finally lifted - Bad finish. Again im confused if Rickys heel or not? - I actually hate Aron Stevens when he talks. Im back to where i felt during the Dawsons match. I dont know if i can took much more of this. - Maybe their is no face/heel divide? Maybe youre just not meant to like anyone. - Whats are the stakes for everyone else in this 6 man tag match why would Wildcards want to help Storm? Are Kingston & Homicide going to come out? The Dawsons? - Jim Cornette had the perfect explanation of Elis gimmick - "He was just standing there" - I HATE wrestling punches. - End of a meh 3 v 3 yeah that was a shmoz - this is definetly the worst NWA episode ive seen so far and last live viewing for sure. Takeaways - Eli Drake is the best but has nothing to do even though everyones got nothing to do. - Dawsons suck. - give Eddie Kingston the mic - maybe its just my age but i do not understand old school style of wrestling. Is it meant to look more realistic? Because i definetly do not get that vibe from NWA it feels more like Cartoon Wrestling? Maybe im wrong - Sign JD Drake hes perfect for NWA -

  19. <p>NWA Powerrr Thoughts (Stupid name? wtf does power have multiple Rs?)</p><p> </p><p> (Be wary these are just <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">MY</span></strong> thoughts)</p><p> </p><p> Straight out of the gate i loved the vibe. As someone who was born in the late 90s i never watched any Studio Wrestling this has a really cool vibe about it.</p><p> </p><p> Eli Drake Promo was great but he needs to find his own light and stop trying to be like The Rock so much.</p><p> </p><p> I skipped the Dawsons tag team match because they look like crap.</p><p> </p><p> No entrance music and people just kind of turning up on set is kind of odd? maybe they should explain this?</p><p> </p><p> Big fan of Thomas Cameron & Royce Isaacs as the wildcards but their gear is very raven-rip off</p><p> </p><p> Will there be a match on this card that i cant predict? doubt it.</p><p> </p><p> Eddie Kingston is the man. We need more of Eddie Kingston.</p><p> </p><p> I was loving the stuff with Jocephus and then James Storm showed up and buried the shit out of him. Great. another TNA guy.</p><p> </p><p> Nick Aldis is great! he shines as a champion but his character is still so boring and plain the best thing about him is Kamille.</p><p> </p><p> Last match was super predictable because who the hell is Tim Storm? 50+ years and ive never heard of him yet somehow takes the NWA champion to the limit? ehh </p><p> </p><p> It was a really good show and i enjoyed it for what it was. I cant say im too keen for future episodes tho the stories are just not very interesting and it comes across to me as a TNA Spinoff. Will the Nostalgic feeling carry this show?</p>
