2. Started a new game, Easy Difficulty (60 pop across US, 1 mil in the bank). Rolled the dice, signed Marc DuBois to a 6 month deal. My first show, he was fine and also my most over & best performer, so on my second show and 1st ppv, I put the belt on him. Well this time he decides to wrestle high ( though somehow only for his 2nd match), so of course I sent him to rehab and vacated the title. I expected to have to do it, but still disappointing.

This was just something to keep both busy for a month. Next for Arsenal is Mighty Mo and Nate Johnson in a triple threat.

Benny Benson defeated Troy Tornado to get revenge for Tornado driving Sammy Bach out of TCW. Benson needed some momentum after winning a #1 Contender Battle Royal only to lose the spot to Wolf Hawkins. From here, Benson probably goes on to face Peak, while Tornado...I'm not sure.

(Flying Jimmy) Foxx & (Matt) Hocking & Devine Fortune defeated The Elite (Nate Johnson, Eddie Chandler, Bryan Holmes & Davis Wayne Newton). Foxx & Hocking have great chemistry, so they get to be my bottom tier team. Holmes & Newton are going to be the new Elite team after Eddie Chandler leaves in a couple weeks when his contract expires, so this month was just to introduce the new duo to TCW.

Aaron Andrews knocked off Danny Fonzarelli to regain some momentum after dropping the World Title to Rocky last month. In anger after losing his rematch, Andrews attacked Fonzie backstage, and Danny didn't get his revenge here. I might just keep this going 2 more months and settle it at Total Mayhem, because I don't have a lot for Fonzarelli's character and Andrews isn't going back near the title for a bit.

Mighty Mo defeated Jay Chord to end their feud and become #1 contender to the International Title. Jay is going to go after a weakened RDJ for Total Mayhem, so I'll have to have him build momentum this month for sure.

The Behemoths defeated The New Wave through interference from American Buffalo to retain the TCW Tag Titles. Buffalo and The Behemoths are both working for Floyd Goldworthy right now. The New Wave is gonna find a partner, and face the trio in a 6 man tag next month, then a cage match at Total Mayhem for the tag titles.

Joshua Taylor & Giant Tana beat Joel Bryant & Brent Hill. Taylor was challenged to find a partner by Bryant & Hill after knocking off each one of them in singles competition and brought out the little-used Giant Tana for another victory. From here, there's plenty of unattached heels for Taylor to feud with. I just don't have a grasp on his character, or a real-life analog for what he is.

"The Baddest Man In Wrestling" Bryan Vessey knocked off Ricky Dale Johnson after getting himself DQ'd last month. I'm not sure what's going to keep Vessey busy for the next 2 months, but after Total Mayhem, he's going for Golden. RDJ is moving down to help elevate Jay Chord. I was going to try to keep Chord away from the main event for a while, but losing Sammy Bach's Star Quality means I might need to try to get Jay over sooner.

Rocky Golden defeated Wolf Hawkins clean to retain the World Title. I don't have the entire plan, but I want this match to happen at Total Mayhem, because both of these guys pull off great ratings.

That's a bit of a bummer, as it ended my bid for El Leon. Also USPW has signed Sammy Bach, so I have him for 2 more shows, though I locked up Wolf Hawkins for 6 years before dropping. I almost always have Jay win this feud when I try to start TCW games, so I wanted to go with Mo and try to give him a legit push this time. Next up is probably adding someone else or 2 someone elses into the feud to keep it from getting stale.

Might even go until Total Mayhem in May.

Sammy Bach defeated Troy Tornado

-Again, trying to win the National Battle. Besides not being able to gain Pop from dropping to Cult, Eddie Chandler's contract comes due this month, and the beginning of the next month is when Mighty Mo is up for renewal. Chandler would be allowed to walk and I'm considering replacing both him and Andrews with a couple of indy guys to form a Nate Johnson led Elite. I'm hoping there isn't a bidding war over Mo, because I want to push him.

  6. Just started a new TCW game, approaching the first event, Malice in Wonderland. The card is as follows:

Aaron Andrews © vs. Rocky Golden for the TCW World Heavyweight Title

    Wolf Hawkins vs. Joshua Taylor

American Buffalo vs. Ricky Dale Johnson

    Bryan Vessey vs. Sammy Bach

Jay Chord vs. Brent Hill vs. Human Arsenal vs. Mighty Mo vs. Marc Speed © for the TCW International Title

The Behemoths © vs. The Canadian Animals vs. The New Wave for the TCW Tag Team Titles

#1 Contender's Battle Royal feat. Eddie Peak, Danny Fonzarelli, Benny Benson, Troy Tornado & others...

Not a lot notable has happened so far. 2 new instances of dating to help my locker room (Laura Huggins & Troy Tornado; Vita & Bart Biggins) and a couple of negative incidents, so the overall backstage is at 61%. RDJ announced that he'll work in Japan but he's 10 years into Decline so I don't expect anyone to try to sign him away. Matt Hocking & Flying Jimmy Foxx have great chemistry so they'll be the #3 face team until I start making signings. My goal is to make it to Total Mayhem without signing anyone, but I'll make exceptions for guys I like from my competitors. I just don't want to steal from the indies for a bit.

  7.
I don't have the whole idea here, but it's a start.

    Name: Mao Tendu

    Age: 28

    Ethnicity: Australian (Asian)

Appearance: Artistic license, aside from an oriental monk, I really have no idea.

Bio: "The Caffeinated Kung-Fu Master" Mao Tendu is a young athlete who is the son of Japanese immigrants. Originally working as the masked MANtis, a half-human, half-mantis hybrid, he dropped the character after a strange incident that involved his mask being stolen on a train. Always entertaining, his gimmicks haven't required him to focus hard on his ring work, allowing him to attempt to get over on the microphone.

    Style: Entertainer

    Size: Lightweight.

Finisher: Wake Up Call (V-Trigger/Leaping Knee Strike)

Personality: Some sort of nice guy.

    Additional Info:

  8.
Just stole Mainstream Hernandez from SWF, and realized he fit perfectly into my main storyline, though I just grabbed him because he's a great worker. I haven't really decided how to fit him in yet though. Here's the story and some options:

Jay Chord's House of Chord is a collection of guys who used to be in MAW when Rip Chord ran it. The stable consists of Jay, Davis Wayne Newton, Flash Savage & Ozzie Golden (The Canadian Blondes), and Antonio Del Veccio. DWN & ADV are also a tag team, The Triple Threat, and I somewhat intend to add a 3rd person with 3 names to the pair, but don't have a great candidate. Mainstream fits the theme of The House of Chord perfectly.

The original plan was for The House of Chord to be disbanded by losing to a Greg Gauge led team of Sam Keith's MAW grads including American Demolition (Bulldozer Brandon Smith & Findlay O'Farraday) and The Aces of Mayhem (Ace Youngblood & Max Mayhem). While this isn't off the table, it doesn't fit particularly well, and Mainstream's signing would require me to grab someone else to join Gauge's side.

The following plan was for The House of Chord to split from within, Davis Wayne Newton rising up to challenge Jay Chord, and the final feud being The Triple Threat against Jay and The Canadian Blondes. I've considered using Mainstream as the third member of The Triple Threat (as James "Mainstream" Hernandez) but that would require either debuting Hernandez as a heel and turning him shortly after, or debuting him as a face and having him convince Newton to turn, which feels wonky.

I could also just have Hernandez join the House and be a heel and they dominate a little longer, or have him debut as a Face and ignore his MAW history.

    What are your thoughts?

  10. The Woken Matt segment was full of TNA cheese and it was delightful!

Bliss has taken a backseat because they are building Asuka and Absolution. 2 women's stories is all they have time for.

I might be the only one but I'm really enjoying the slow Jordan heel turn. His matches are always good and the delusional gimmick is working for him, IMO. I'd be happy if it led to Angle vs Jordan at Wrestlemania.

I think they could have something better for Angle at Wrestlemania, otherwise I'd be pretty happy with that. An Angle/Jordan feud would be great though.

  11.
It feels like Impact just doesn't have a long-term booking plan. They plan from the beginning of a taping to the end of it, and that's it, and sometimes it feels REALLY obvious and it hurts the product.

And I love Eli Drake. I recall reading somewhere that he tried to build a unique speaking style as advice from The Rock and it really shows. With his age (34), not sure he ever becomes a huge guy since I'm not sure Impact can build huge guys anymore, but he definitely feels like he'd be a great WWE mid/upper mid card guy.

  12.

I got a series of Tag Team names I need:

A Tag Team consisting of Primus Allen and Ekuma? (They are Heels, Tennessee William is an arrogant musician, meanwhile Mutant is a Viscera-esq weirdo)

A Tag Team consisting of Frederique Antonio Garcia & Lenny Brown? (They are Heels, F.A.G is his regular fabulous self and he is acting as a mentor to a Young Suave Lenny Brown)

Primus & Ekuma could just be something like The Big Hitters, The Heavy Hitters, etc.

Tennessee William & Mutant could be Country Love?

  13. Battleground was really "meh" to me, but when it has to come between the barnstormer that was Great Balls of Fire and Big 4 member Summerslam, it needs to be pretty stellar to stand out. I feel like Smackdown is telling better stories right now (Nakamura/Corbin, AJ/Owens (though the ending was bad), Jinder & co., etc) but Raw is really making the big events worth seeing. I think Orton filling the "top babyface"/"face of the show" role on Smackdown hurts it a lot.
  14.
Just saw this, gonna think about it some today and hopefully submit at least one character by day's end.

    EDIT: Quick inspiration.

    Name: Olaf the Bearzerker

    Age: 31

    Ethnicity: White (Swedish)

Appearance: Moderately stocky (high lightweight, low middleweight), angry face with bear related headgear (mask, or something else), red hair

Bio: Olaf and Uleg the Bearzerkers are a decent, high energy tag team from Sweden. While an entertaining pair of workers, both are equally high energy in and out of the ring, and their hard-partying lifestyle may catch up to them sooner than later. Of the pair, Olaf wrestles in a more brawling style, though he still has good speed to use against bigger workers.

    Finisher: Bearzerker Maul (Running Lariat)

Personality: Don't recall what the presets are, but something of a hard partier.

  17. Looking for a tag team name for Quentin Queen & Gidayu Katou. Quentin is using a Blue Chipper gimmick and Katou is using a Legitimate Athlete gimmick, and both are heels. Right now, they're in the lower card, not quite jobbers but close because there are so many other guys and they just started teaming, but I'm hoping for them to be together long-term and both can work as both face and heel so it doesn't need to be a heel tag name.
  18. Local/Small Fed.

I have Anders Thunder and Steel (both known steroid users) in my fed as a tag team. Their names are Swedish Superman and Man O' Steel.

Right now, their tag name is 3 Month Cycle.

Any Steroid puns I should also consider? I'm also open to renaming both Thunder and Steel. As I'm not super over on Swedish Superman.

Names I have used for Anders Thunder in the Past: Hugo Gustaav Hanssen(HGH).

Back in the day, Ryan Reeves (aka Ryback) was in a tag team known as High Dosage as a steroid joke, that could work.

  19.
Started a company on "Easy" difficulty, currently in July 2017. American Wrestling Entertainment is just coming off of its highest rated event, only trailing a random tv episode in my top 100. I'm currently sitting at 68 Popularity throughout the states, still Cult. I did the math, I'm gonna need to hit about 83 in the worse regions to hit National, so it'll take a while. Right now I'm going up about 1 point per month, but I don't expect that to continue.

Joffy Laine d. Ernest Youngman (80)

*This was a 1 month "keep busy" feud for these two that started when Laine got one over on Youngman in a tag match. Both guys are on my NBT list, are toeing the main event and are low to mid 50's in Overness.

"Fearless, Peerless, Perfect" Freddy Huggins d. "The Party Starter" Jamie Atherton (78)

*Freddy is one of my best workers right now in terms of ratings and is hanging in the mid to high 60s in Overness. He consistently scores in the 80s to 90s, especially in promos. Meanwhile, Atherton is trying to "get serious" after coming up short for the World Title, but instead suffered another loss. This is leading up to a heel turn.

Daniel Karnak (Danny Fonzarelli) d. Sean McFly (78)

*Karnak gets the win here with the help of tag team allies "The Destructors," Ekuma & Ox Mastadon (under a mask simply as Mastodon). This feud has at least 2 more months in it, McFly will probably go over in the end. Karnak and his allies are still on PPA deals and don't put up great ratings, they're just my monster of the month/year for now.

The Naturals (Johnny Boone (Ant-Man) & Topher Smith) d. The Vile Few (Havok (Seth Whitehead) & Stuntman) (59)

*This was the conclusion to a short storyline. Topher Smith used to be aligned with The Vile Few and Devious Doctor Fang, but Doc left the company and Smith dropped his mask as Khaos and joined his ACPW tag team partner who came to set him straight. I needed more face tag teams, so those two get to pair up.

Antonio Del Veccio d. Jeremie Courtney to retain the AWE United States Title (57)

*Antonio retains here to help keep all of the gold in the stable he's a member of, The House of Chord. He won clean here, as Courtney has really just been filling space since I signed him.

Davis Wayne Newton w/ Haley Buck d. Fro Sure (78)

*Davis is also a House of Chord member, this puts them at 2-0 for the show. I'm positioning him for a World Title run similar to how Randy Orton left Evolution, as well as maybe a small stable of his own. Currently he and Antonio are a loose tag team known as The Triple Threat, and I'm pondering who I can add to the group as a third member if I need to. Fro Sure was my first World champion, but didn't excel in the role and has floundered since. I don't mind pushing him with his SQ, but he's not a high priority.

Greg Gauge d. Marc Speed (80)

*This was match 2 between these two. On the previous event, Gauge made an open challenge because he didn't have a match that was answered by the debuting Speed, who picked up the win. Now Greg gets one back. I'm thinking about settling it with an Ultimate Submission match, but that's not concrete yet.

The Elite (Eddie Chandler & Nate Johnson) d. American Demoltion (Bulldozer Brandon Smith & Findlay O'Farraday) (64)

*The Elite get their second win in as many months, this one over another pair of tag team champions. Both are in pretty heavy time decline though, so this 3 month try out is probably after next month. American Demolition will take a win and get some overness off of them.

The Canadian Blondes (Flash Savage & Ozzie Golden) d. The Aces of Mayhem to retain the AWE Tag Team Titles (72)

*The Blondes are also members of The House of Chord, which makes the group 3 for 3, and *spoiler alert* they're gonna go 4 for 4, as this show emphasizes that they're running the company right now. The Aces of Mayhem are poised for bigger and better things down the road, including possibly a short World Title run for Max Mayhem whose match ratings are getting really good. The two will stay in the tag division long term though,

as they have 100 experience and great chemistry.

Jay Chord d. Eddie Peak to retain the AWE World Title (83)

*As you may have guessed by the name, Jay Chord leads the House of Chord. It's all ex-Rip Chord-era MAW guys (DWN, ADV, The Canadian Blondes). Meanwhile, Peak was my first big signing and is now my figurehead, 1 year, 1 month established. Next month, he's gonna win his first World title in a cage, before dropping it back to Chord the following month because I want the House to be on top for a bit longer.

The House of Chord is trying to come off as somewhere between Bullet Club and Evolution and I think that's been okay so far. I'm thinking about Greg Gauge running a stable of Sam Keith era MAW guys along with the Aces of Mayhem and American Demolition to face them and Max Mayhem winning the belt that way to drop to DWN, but I'm not totally sold on the idea. The other option is for DWN and Antonio to split and add another member to The Triple Threat and do a 3v3 feud. Either way, I think things between Gauge & Chord are gonna blow off at the Anniversary Show in January and then I'll see where I feel about going with DWN and Chord.
