  1.

I understand she is now a heel, so faces are going to have to run her down my point is you can FEEL vince all over that storyline. and given Vince's historical treatment of women inside and outside the business, It's just uncomfortable to watch.

Oh yeah absolutely. But for what it's worth, I dig AJ's character and I think out of the Divas, her and Eve(who has turned into a completely different person since the heel turn last year) are the clear top two divas. Though Kaitlyn has improved a lot and I dig her Kim Possible esque ring gear

  2. On the AJ topic, is she really a slut? I mean in this case I actually disagree only because CM Punk, Kane and Daniel Bryan have one thing in common besides at one point being connected to AJ. All three of them have rejected her. Bryan dumped her, Punk chose the WWE title over her and Kane simply said no. It's not as if she went to one guy to another, she actually liked Punk, she actually liked Kane, she actually liked Bryan. She wanted affection back and when she didn't get it return, she went to another guy. And this adds to the "crazy" character in the sense of she's so obsessed with someone giving her attention that she will keep looking and acting irrational until the right guy gives it to her. So that's how I see it.

And on another note, after watching RAW, I feel face Del Rio has a lot of potential. Love the friendship between him and R-Rod.

  3. I love when one of my "fantasy bookings" come to life. A month ago, I remember posting on her that the whole debacle of the "Affair" storyline would end with Dolph and AJ getting together and look at that, they are now together. Which by the way I am so happy that they are. But I've seen a lot of mixed reactions to this on Twitter and other wrestling forums. Some(like me) are high on this. Some aren't. So I think this is an interesting debate here. Are you guys in support of this or not? What are your pros and cons?
  4. Alright even though this Cena/AJ/Vickie scandal thing is a bit unbearable, how great ate AJ and Dolph Ziggler together? Seriously that segment was so good and it made Ziggler look strong destroying Cena. Another thing, am I the only one that hopes AJ and Dolph in the end of whether this is heading end up together? I mean, I think the only logically way to get out of this storyline if the intentions is for Ziggler to win the feud is if he beats Cena and AJ helps him win. I mean that's the only way I could see them giving Ziggler the win under the impression that they won't give him a clean victory. Just my thoughts
  5. TBH, I've fallen out of touch with ROH for the last year. I don't know the first thing about Ciampa, Cole, Elgin, etc.

I do think they are on a downswing talent wise. You can blame 'raids' by TNA and WWE for that over the last few years. I say raids in quotes because they didn't have to steal very many to really take ROH down a few pegs. Not exactly WWF vs WCW vs ECW.

If ROH had gotten the Sinclair show back when Tyler Black was still champion (or further back when Danielson and McGuiness had it) they could have really made a run at TNA for 2nd in America. But as it stands, they have very little chance of getting any bigger than they are right now.

Talent wise (def not coverage wise) I would put PWG and CHIKARA above ROH right now. Why PWG hasn't gotten a tv deal yet baffles me.

I would even put DGUSA above ROH(not just because I follow Dragon Gate) because their roster consisting of the likes of CIMA, Akira Tozawa, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, Jon Davis, BxB Hulk, YAMATO and that roster has more "starpower" and somewhat better wrestlers than ROH.

And I really do miss ROH on HDNet. It may have lasted like two years but I thought it was great and it felt like an ROH TV show. The Sinclair version has always been lacking.

  6. I agree with you, the show is lacking something. I would say star power, there is nobody that I think is out of this world great on their roster. It does not help the fact that a good majority of the roster are poor speakers.

I think Adam Cole and Michael Elgin can be. They've showed enough to make me believe they are the real deal. Elgin of course had that great match with Richards and just came off a great match with Steen and I've always been high on Cole since first seeing him in CZW as a heel. With Cole, I wish they would show more of his charisma and mic skills a bit more because he's really good in that department(see his BOLA promo of this year). And he's a good wrestler too and he's only I believe 22 so he will get better with age.

  7. But it's not like he's the leader or anything, he's just one of the lackeys. The reveal is big because it's who the mole was for a & 8's. And since he was one of the top babyfaces and they did a pretty good job working the IWC that he was released, it was a good swerve to open up showing who they are.

If he was the leader, I agree hive, lame. But as one of the lackey's it explains a bit of how they were able to have inside, company information.

I thought that part of the PPV was fine, and Hardy-Aeris was a very good match, but the wrong guy won. This whole PPV was panic booking, something we always get on WWE for and TNA should have avoided, since they were doing a nice job building new stars.

Look at the title winners last night. Chavo, Tara, RVD, Hardy...this screams "we need ratings!!! our guys suck we got two back to back .85 ratings!!!! if it had a cup of coffee in WWE, put the belt on it now!!!! RATINGSZOR"

it's completly overreacting to a drop in ratings that can be explained by 1) they are now up directly against the start of Thursday night football witht he time change to 8-10. nice one spike. and 2) they went against a political debate watched by 20 million people last week.

I disagree with you here. I have no problem with Chavo and Hernandez winning the titles because out of the three teams, they need the most as of course AJ and Angel can go for the World title and Daniels and Kaz have been so awesome together that they don't even need the tag titles and they can do their own thing.

With RVD winning, I like to think they did this to give Ion something to do as Jess heals so there's plenty of time for Ion to win the belt back and then drop it to Jesse. Plus feuding with an established guy like RVD does help Ion. However the next time they face each other he has to win.

Tara winning was cool. I wouldn't have complained whoever won, but for Tara winning, it also gives her something to do fresh off a heel turn. I don't really care about the dude from Big Brother but it helps Tara's new character so it's not that bad. Though I am hoping they interject more women here like ODB, Gail, Madison especially.

Now comes Jeff Hardy. I'll be honest, when he won the BFG Series, I crapped on it for the obvious reasons. But I thought about and I realized you know what, he's kinda earned it. He hit rock bottom at Victory Road 11 and rightfully so. That was his fault for that and the state he was in at that show was an embarrassment. Since then, he's stayed clean(as we know of) and when I see him now on TV, it seems as if he has his act together. And he's had good matches(with Bully Ray, Angle, Storm, etc) so he's been keeping up with his ring work. I don't think if he won the BFG Series last year and won the World title at BFG that I would feel the same way cause he wouldn't have earned it. But now, 19 months after the incident, I think he has and so I'm not upset that he's the champ.

And with Aries you have to look at it like this. Him main eventing TNA's biggest show WITH the TNA World title I think speaks volumes of how highly TNA thinks of him. Even if it was only a three month title reign, TNA still have showed they have faith in him with the way he has been built up basically since returning to the company last year. So it's not all bad

  8. Even with the asinine stipulation, AJ and Daniels tore the house down. Here's hoping this is the beginning of the end of this idiotic storyline, but not Daniels current character. He has been consistently one of the most entertaining people on TV every week.

Also, loved the end of Impact this week.

Yeah the only positive thing about this whole Claire thing has been Daniels. His performance as this douchebag heel has been awesome.

  9. You know what, the more I think about it, the more I side with King. And here's why. ROH knew his contract was expiring before giving him and Titus the titles. That was a risk in itself. ROH had every opportunity to lock him up long term to avoid all of this happening. And then, a "handshake agreement?" For a company that right now its roster is very thin, you have to lock up your important pieces. Kenny King was a very important piece to ROH in the grand scheme of the tag team division and singles wise too potentially. You have to lock him up. ROH should of been in the "you're not leaving this room til you sign a contract extension" type mode with King on Tuesday. But they didn't and they let King explore. That was ROH's mistake there. Now I still disagree with the way King handled everything, but you can't argue with the current direction of ROH and the direction of TNA, who has been very solid the past few months, why he left when given the opportunity.
  10. Very timely that this comes out with King jumping ships. I will say this, that video may be 3 minutes long, but I completely agree with what King said. I believe ROH has gone away with what has made them them. King brought up the MMA part and I agree with him there as well. The whole Hybird match between Cole and O'Riley and Richards doing that stuff isn't what ROH is. The foundation of ROH has always been on the wrestling aspect and the recent MMA aspect of it I haven't really liked.

Right now, ROH doesn't look so good at the moment, but I believe they can ride the storm if they do go back to focusing on what brought them to the dance; wrestling and good storytelling. The roster may be paper thin, but I think they got some guys that can really elevate to the main event level. I was unfamiliar with Elign in the beginning of the year, but from what I've seen from him during the year, he's a stud and to me, a future ROH World Champ. Adam Cole as well. Still don't really have an opinion on O'Riley, a bit turned off again with the MMA aspect of him but i think he can be solid. So I still think they can get out of this, but they have to follow more on the quality of the product like they did before.
