  1. There's probably something more up to date somewhere (and the best option would be to download the 2016 version and read through promotion/worker bios). But the initial release thread had some links that might still be relevant (see the bottom of this post). Worth checking out The rise and fall of the AWC too.
  2. Yeah 4C feels like a good shout for your needs. If you wanted something more in the ECW mould then PSW or even DIW would be a good place to start. For the ROH style maybe CZCW or (if you don’t mind a larger company) TCW. But 4C feels like the closest thing to a combination of the two styles I think (Though I can’t say I’ve ever watched a huge amount of ROH).

Maybe PWI bought them out and created a killer Junior/Cruiserweight division.<p> </p><p> If CWT bites the dust and PWI takes a step back, there might be room in the Mid South or South East for an AEW-like promotion, too. Just thinking out loud.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Please don't kill DRAGON!</p><p> </p><p> I'm very interested in (assuming it hasn't been retconned) what happens with Saul Keaton & CWT. CWT felt like such a weird choice for Keaton, I imagine he'll have aspirations of taking them national, but he's walking in to a regional company/brand with a TV deal that only covers three areas, and a very traditional product. It does feel a bit like CWT will either need to not be CWT any more under Keaton's leadership, will have closed up, or will be a shell of it's former self with Briscoe clinging on.</p>
  4. All these pre-game promotion specific threads are surely asking for trouble? Can see at least one looking pretty bleak on Thursday.
  5. Sounds awesome, cheers! Very interested to see what decision is made around Coronavirus/whether it or an equivalent does have an impact on the game world.
  6. Would it be too cheeky to ask what stage the mod is at? Has it been created fully in 2016? You guys been testers of 2020/had a chance to convert/start adjusting it at all?
  7. I'm sure you were telling us about Dustin LeFever's Junior Mountain/Ozeki Summit double only the other day.
  8. Won't 13TEEN be 50 at the start of the game? It feels like there's a sad but simple solution to that one.
  9. If we're looking at UPJ expansion, Scott Hart would be the ideal guy to expand both in the US and Europe, and his bio hints at a possible move to Japan. To be fair just about anyone on the PWI roster would be a good fit, and just need to have a fallout with Allman to make it happen.
  10. There's an established promotion as well I believe, 'Wrestling India' (assuming I haven't made that up).
  11. I really hope that doesn't change, that's one of the many things I enjoy more about the Thunderverse.
  12. Oh ditto of course, but it'd be the icing on the cake to have some new/changed promotions/wrestlers to delve into. Would be very interesting, imagine that would have a knock on impact on DRAGON. I'm really interested to see what happens with Quincy Garvey if he buys into a company (does he go for the obvious DRAGON route, or does he buy AWF to spite Trillion and move it in a more DRAGON-esque direction?). Would also be interesting to see if Dax Deekins comes back to wrestling with his jail time up.
  13. The demo will include everything in the full game, it just limits you to only being able to play in Jan and Feb. You’ll be able to experience the vast vast majority of new features and get a very good grip on the gameplay.
  14. I figured, given jhd1's tantalizing post over in the Thunderverse thread on the mod board... ...and with the usual pre-game Cornellverse prediction thread just a week away from being a thing of the past, it might be fun to speculate about what a 2020 version of the Thunderverse could look like if it were to materialize. Anybody got any predictions/hopes/fears about how the game world would have developed from 2016 to 2020?
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="jhd1" data-cite="jhd1" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42555" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Never say never...</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> More excited about this than TEW 2020 (or even the prospect of ever going outside again). <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  16. The free demo is coming out, then the full game a week later, like Adam's releases usually do (unless I've missed something), you can't buy it before the full release.
  17. Name: Bashe Size: Flabby Middleweight Style: Puroresu Appearance: Female, Chinese, bulky, short black hair, intense look/grimace, giant snake neck tattoo. Bio: 'The Serpent' Bashe is a young Chinese wrestler, known for her impressive size and surprising athleticism. Her anti-establishment attitudes and her recklessly stiff wrestling style have stopped her making friends inside or outside the ring, but she has developed a small fiercely loyal fan base. Additional Information: Very liberal. Negative backstage influence.
  18. I can see drastic changes in the presentation of both USPW and TCW. It feels to me like USPW will need to move away from the product it's known for, and start appealing to the 18-35 demographic that (I believe?) subscription networks tend to target. As well as adjusting it's presentation from being incredibly US focused to being something international (it feels a bit ridiculous that with that name, and those event names they've gotten as big as they have in Canada and Mexico). At the same time you've got TCW, who've felt very much like the smart fan/adult/nerd's company, owned by a toy company who are probably going to want to appeal first and foremost to kids, with larger than life colourful characters. I'd love to see both a million miles away from what previously made them unique and struggling with their identities. I think it'd be easiest for USPW because, frankly, they've got the deepest pockets and will probably have a lot of the biggest 'superstars' tied up by now. A move like that from TCW could be catastrophic as they lose some of their fanbase, fail to compete for a new one, and maybe even end up fighting the deep pockets of IPW in their home region. They're both really interestingly poised in 2016. I know it's blasphemy, but I'd just like SWF to be gone now. I'd love to see a seismic change like that, most likely a USPW brand split, and the rest of that talent pool being dispersed across the depth of interesting smaller US promotions. Let the Eisens get what the McMahon's deserve. And I think it could make sense, they're going to be pretty lost when Bruce surely hangs up his boots, Lullaby could work, Richard's health could deteriorate, USPW could just come in with an offer he decides is worth taking. It could easily have happened in four years and wrong though it feels, a large part of me hopes it has. I think overall I just hope the Cornellverse world isn't supporting so many large promotions any more. Wrestling seems unbelievably popular just about everywhere apart from mainland Europe, and it has been for, in my view, too long. It feels unsustainable, particularly for their to be so many successful promotions across the world. Personally I'd love to see an expanded (and likely rebranded) USPW on an expanded Reverie network, dominating across much of the world, and most of SWF, TCW, NOTBPW, CGC, SOTBPW, 21CW & RAW either struggling to compete, or having thrown in the towel already. I'd rather a game world that feels believable than one that has a major promotion for anybody and everybody.
  19. The original list is here http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=544415 Don't know if that plus the new inclusions in the dev diary is a full list though.
  20. I'd be surprised if women's wrestling hadn't become every bit as important to NOTBPW as men's. Duane, McFly & Steve DeColt could all be done, they've got some young women in 2016 with plenty of potential, and they'll surely be paving the way for the return of an active Stone to the promotion, with Lucy a year away from her debut.
  21. Has anyone done a version of Jay Bee as a Filthy Generation style Stevie Boy? He's top of my Next Big Things list with ATW, would be nice to move him away from The Malkie Boiz at some point.
