I actually chuckled at that. Silly typo aside, a great show. The Nexus-style ending is a very good cliffhanger. I want to see what happens next.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t a typo. It was the name of a WWE PPV for three years in the 2000s. It’s a strong January show name that I’ve used before in a couple of games, IMO.

—

Dang, I love the layout of this. Attaching a PDF makes so much sense, and everything looks so clean. Big fan of the ending — especially the note about Rogue breaking character for a moment — and where this story goes from here.

He ruled the industry for decades. Burned bridges. Ran others out of business. Made enemies. Blacklisted many.

… Became the most hated man in professional wrestling.

Now it lies on his son’s shoulders to save his father’s empire.

This is the story of the Supreme Wrestling Federation and how one attempts to overcome
    the sins of the father

  3. Smackdown is so much better than Raw on any given day. I just wish they'd bring Striker back and keep Cole on Raw.

Seriously: Cody Rhodes, Christian, Daniel Bryan, Sin Cara, Kane, Sheamus, the Usos, Mark Henry, AJ, Kaitlyn & Natalya...

    It's freaking heaven right now.

It's not that I don't think it's any good...I just never have time to watch it. I'm usually busy during that time. My little brother keeps me updated on it, though...

  4. well, you can't blame them for that, most aren't ROH fans and diddn't know who it was till he walked out.

I think that's how the E played it too, Cena's facial expression of was great, he even turned to ring side and said "Who's music is this?" to sell the "I have no idea who HHH is bringing out here..." and then changed to shock and a disbelieving look to the crowd cheering.

i thought they gave an awesome pop for punk...if i had one problem with the crowd reaction to the whole thing it's how hard they cheered Cena raising a title he won in 10 minutes from a guy who had already wrestled that night...i thought he would have gotten more boos to punk's cheers with the real title.

On a side note, I turned to my Girl during the M/E and said "damn, i have no intrest in this match but I'm really enjoying it since JR is calling it."

I really hope JR calls as many raws as he's able too. Give Cole smackdown as the other factions announcer, but keep raw JR/King im begging you WWE.

I was hoping Cena beating Rey like that would signal a possible heel turn. Guess that'll never happen.

And I agree...keep Cole on Smackdown, because I never watch that. Just read the spoilers.

  5. Early last month, Helms seemed to think that drinking a lot before getting on his motorbike and taking his girlfriend for a ride was a good idea. It wasn't, and Helms suffered "a broken leg, ankle, jaw, and nose during the accident, as well as sustaining other fractures and receiving over 200 stitches, while his girlfriend sustained a broken vertebrate".

Seriously??? Daaaaaaaaaang. Was he still wrestling before this?

  6. So the main event lasted 30 min? Thats why I dont thnk I would like ROH I couldn't sit through a 30 min match between two top guys in WWE or TNA let alone two nobodys.

The point is not whether you know Edwards and Richards or not...it's the fact that you couldn't last through a 30 minute match featuring anyone. If you can't handle that, ROH is probably not for you.

When I got into ROH, I had to learn everyone. I knew who Christopher Daniels was, and I knew who Bryan Danielson was. But the more I got into the company, the more I began to like the roster. Now guys like El Generico and The Kings of Wrestling are my favorite wrestlers in the world.

But you seem to be that WWE/TNA mainstream fan, not being able to sit through a lengthy, but solid, match. You might not want the same thing out of a product than most ROH fans want. ROH isn't about how popular a guy may be, it's about how great they are in the ring. That's our kind of storytelling and wrestling action, great worked matches.

You just seem to be a different type of fan...nothing wrong with that at all...it might just be that ROH won't be your cup of tea. I mean, HDNet broadcasts use to be an hour long show with only two or three matches, with matches taking up 45-50 minutes of the show.

And I pray that the new show is like that too.
