    The USA network sent out the following today…

     

    WWE 2011 WWE® DRAFT TAKES OVER MONDAY NIGHT RAW, MONDAY, APRIL 25 AT 9/8c

     

    The entire roster of WWE Superstars and Divas will take part in the 2011 WWE Draft next week, April 25, on MONDAY NIGHT RAW live on USA Network at 9/8c.

     

    In a thrilling night of television, all WWE Superstars and Divas, including WWE Champion The Miz, John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara along with WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella, Eve and Kelly Kelly could be drafted to either RAW or SmackDown.

     

    After Monday Night's momentous draft, John Cena could be on "Friday Night Smackdown," which airs each week on Syfy at 8/7c and Rey Mysterio could be coming to MONDAY NIGHT RAW.

     

    The Annual WWE Draft is a chance to renew old rivalries or have WWE Superstars face off against each other for the very first time, bringing a new and fresh feel to each show.

     

    That just made me laugh...I don't know why.

    The show isn't on tonight. HDNet is showing college basketball. I think there's only one episode of the show left, which will air in two weeks. Don't quote me on that, though.

     

    I would agree that the show is going out on a down note. I think a big reason for that was the top prospect tournament taking up so much of the time. Sorry, but if you've only got one hour per week, I don't need to see Grizzly Redwood or Right Leg Ridge. I'm digging Cole, O'Reilly and Elgin, though.

    That's right. Forgot about the CBI being this week.

     

    And let's not forget about the awesomeness that is BOBBY DEMPSEY. /sarcasm

     

    Not a big fan of Mike Bennett...probably because of Brutal Bob.

    I'm going to find it hard to watch the HDNet show tonight, knowing that Eddie Edwards is now the World Champ.

     

    Don't get me wrong, I like Eddie as champ...can't stand Roderick Strong. But the last few episodes have been the WORST. I mean, so bad that I'm not gonna miss the show if it's gonna end like this.

    The Puroresu Thread

    Trying to get into Puroresu, since I'm contemplating a Japanese game in TEW with one of the challenges BP gave me in the general discussions forum. I watch Japanese MMA all the time, thanks to HDNet, so, when I see that NJPW uses MMA influences, it inspired me to check them out. Plus, I love seeing ROH and Chikara guys taking on Japanese legends from time to time. (Seeing highlights of Samoa Joe vs. Kobashi last night on HDNet during ROH's Top 5 Moments forced me to revisit that epic event.) Since I appreciate a great match a whole lot more than a "popular" mainstream wrestler, Japanese wrestling appeals to me.

     

    I've watched Dragon Gate before, and a little bit of DDT via the Internet...but currently I'm watching a bunch of New Japan. I just love how the media and the fans treat their wrestling, it's actually a breath of fresh air from the gloom and doom I see in American wrestling.

     

    The first match I watched was a 5-star one from back in the 90's when The Great Muta took on my favorite Japanese wrestler of all-time, Jushin Thunder Liger. That match was insane on so many levels.

     

    Now, thanks to YouTube, I'm currently watching Wrestle Kingdom V that happened at the beginning of this year at the Tokyo Dome. Great stuff from what I've seen so far.

     

    To those of you who know Puroresu more than me: When I get done watching Wrestle Kingdom V, what matches should I watch next?
