  1. Another quick update -

I was actually way ahead of schedule at one point...then covid hit! Had it bad for two weeks, finally tested negative today but still feeling rough as

So that slowed things down significantly on good days...came to a grinding halt on the bad days!

But the good news is I have not only completed the three biggest/most time consuming companies in Oceania, but I have done some work on getting free pictures sorted for the release AND I added one more USA company...because why not??

So with Hoosier State Pro Wrestling added that takes USA to 27 active companies, five of which are insignificant, it's always good to have a few of those really small regional promotions around.

Oceania now has six companies for me to complete, but a few of them are very small so shouldn't take too long, as long as health holds out!

    So Oceania completes companies

    RAW

    Athletic Empire

    Cutting Edge Wrestling

Sucks that COVID put you behind schedule. Take as much time as you need man if you're still feeling things lingering.

  2.

Edit - I looked them up, I was right about Scott Steiner working for them, but it was Ultimate Warrior I was thinking of who won the title! From Orlando Jordan - that's a main event in any promotion in the world right there

Thing about this is that he literally only held the belt for that one night before retiring again.

But yeah, I agree with Jaysin, even though Thunderverse already had something like it, I think you could definitely go with that sort of thing.

  3. Honestly, even as someone who the direct C-Verse doesn't really appeal to, being mostly a fan of RW historical/Alt-Historical (There's a fantastic Alt-C-Verse database set in 2018 that someone made that's getting a 2022 follow up soon). The best thing you could do is just explore bios and play the older games..

I've been playing since the C-Verse was created all the way back when, so I'm decently familiar with the world.

  4. The only concern I have with the idea (and I do support the Freebird Rule idea in general) is how many workers could possibly be part of this. I mean, just looking at WWF/E, you've had a group of 5 recognized as concurrent tag champs (the Spirit Squad) and a group of 4 recognized as well (Undisputed Era). I think you'd have to set an upper limit of those recognized concurrently if you were going to add this feature.

    St.T

I agree with this wholeheartedly. There would have to be a limit, either one you can personallly set when creating a title or one hard-coded in the games mechanics.

Another solution is having it be something to set within the stables section where you can set if the freebird rule counts for the stable or not. Since only specific stables tend to do it, it's not a thing every stable does.

  5. This is a Russian promotion that I see being very old-school until a big takeover, so will be basically attempting to create a Russian wrestling scene. So who knows how long that'll take, but I think it should be ok.

This was already decided before the war, and in my CVerse there is no war. I did consider changing plans, but without getting too political I know not all Russian people support what is happening, so that's the Russia I am doing it for!

This isn't something I think you should worry about too much, fiction is fiction after all.

  6. This is one of the few details that I don't understand hasn't been implemented properly yet. If three guys are in a stable together and one guy goes out injured, I really should be able to keep the same reign going with the other guy as a replacement or just flipflop the title between said stable members.

A multitude of IRL tag teams/stables do this, so why is it not achievable in TEW?

  8. I tended to muck around in all of the regions just exploring how to work with certain guys. Europe as a whole definitely does have some good talent and it really shouldn't be ignored.

I loved playing CWW for the short little run I did despite having money issues because of how differently it was booked compared to how I usually play and the styles I normally like and I remember having a decent amount of fun in IQK. So don't feel too bad about people not exploring the map as much as others.

  9. Quick update on Japan:

It was going very slowly to start with as I needed to take my time as I don't know Japan quite as well as others areas. Then I had a few ideas but I had to decide which to go with. Plus a few real life things, which are always annoying lol

I had a lot of work to do with INSPIRES, including creating a whole new, more detailed/interesting schedule from scratch, and lots of testing it out, so that took a while, but things are ticking along now.

INSPIRES, WLW and BHOTWG have been completed, but to put it in perspective INSPIRES took about three weeks, BHOTWG took three days, so I'm confident the longest stretch is over and the rest of Japan shouldn't take too long...he says lol

Rosters and title lineages have been sorted out for PGHW, BCG, GCG and pretty much there for a couple of other promotions, but those three should get done pretty quickly too.

Glad to see this is moving along quickly and you figured things out!

  10. It seems we think in a very similar way haha

I was thinking about the whole media company snapping them up, taking advantage of the wrestling scene being destroyed so getting some historic promotions on the cheap.

My issue is that it seems a bit soon....but then I often feel CVerse doesn't move quite enough haha. Part of me thinks that we need one more version where Japan is struggling and then have 2026 be the version with all the major changes

But then the other part thinks that I should really shake things up in order to play up the fact that this is the alternative CVerse!

I agree with you about the C-Verse moving too slow. Which is why an earth-shaker of a change like this sounds really cool. Hey, as long as the Deathmatch Joshi promotion that's in the Women's Rev pack is in the cards for your Japan, I'll likely be happy with whatever you dish out. You proved to me with CV18 that your pathing can be 100% trusted to make something interesting.
