    BREAKING NEWS: DeColt in charge of TCW

    Monday, Week 4 2019

     

    So just as last year (with the forming of CWA) we end this year with some BIG news… that also involve the name DeColt. Today on a press conference held at BriCo’s headquarters it was confirmed, after months of speculation, that Kyle Rhodes had resigned as CEO of TCW (although he said he will continue as an announcer) and it was confirmed that his replacement would be none other than the former owner of Canadian Golden Combat: Alex DeColt. They also said the company would change name and as of January 1st it will be known as “Total Combat Wrestling”.

     

    The news shocked every journalist present as nobody expected the eldest son of George DeColt to be the one appointed (many speculations led to Brent Hill or Robert Oxford) especially after he disappeared from the public eye after he relinquished the power of CGC to his brothers.

    Alex said that he was very excited for this new chance, that he thinks TCW has a lot of potential and that he thinks with the available talent he will be able to “win the war” and take the promotion to the top. He didn’t answer any questions as he said he is preparing for the debut of the new TCW this following Tuesday. He also stated that he will be appearing on the show.

     

    TEW.com tried to reach the other DeColt’s for comments but Jack and Ricky declined, and Steve only said: “Why should I care about what that crazy a****le does?” More as it develops.

    More news regarding TCW’s new CEO

    Friday, Week 4 2019

     

    We have learned from a confidential source within TCW that yesterday Alex DeColt had a meeting with all the talent. He explained that he’d also be assuming as head booker of the promotion but that he has formed a special creative team involving former booker Brent Hill, Robert Oxford, Joel Bryant and Jasmine Saunders. DeColt talked about giving new opportunities and he mentioned bringing back some titles and introducing some new ones to try and give everyone something relevant to do instead of just showing up for random matches.

     

    Finally our source confirmed that although there was some concerns about how DeColt would deal with roster members Edd Stone and Nathan Jones (who left CGC in the midst of an infidelity scandal with the then wife of Alex’s brother Jack) it was all cleared when at the end of the meeting Alex talked privately to both men to make sure there were no hard feelings and he even joked about him an Edd being the "true" alliance between their families.

     

    Alex DeColt will make his official TCW debut this Tuesday and here’s the card so far for the show. Feel free to leave your predictions to participate in our weekly contest!.

    <em>I took a sip of my water glass. I managed to explain everything well and never lost my temper even when some of these jerks kept interrupting me. Thank god for anger management therapy. I felt confident but this wasn’t over yet. The “boss” had remained silent and I knew he still had one final question for me. He sat at the other end of the table listening to one of his goons as he scribbled down something on a notebook. Then he stopped and looked at me. Here it comes.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    -We cannot deny that you bring some interesting ideas… but maybe they’re a bit too much. You have never worked for neither BriCo or TCW, hell, you have never worked on the US before… and you want to take the position of CEO out of the blue and even propose a name change for the promotion. Tell me, why should we trust you with so much? Because there is also the fact that… you failed on your last job as a wrestling promoter. So why should we hire you?</p><p> </p><p>

    <em>I knew that was coming. A few months ago, this statement would drive me crazy. I would’ve probably flipped out… but that is in the past. Besides, I can’t waste this chance. So I take a deep breath. And I smile.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    -Well you see mister Brickell I don’t see how I failed on my last job… I went face to face with one of the biggest promotions in the world, one that your company even was afraid of, and I held my ground for eight years even when I had to deal with a backstabbing family. Despite what everybody said I built new stars, stars that are now main eventing big cards up north. If it wasn’t for my brothers, I’d still be there putting up a fight and eventually I would have won. I know this. And going back to TCW well I think what you guys need the most right now is to survive. Am I wrong? You have lost your golden boy, ratings are going down and if popularity keeps dropping maybe some of your remaining big names will leave too. I know how to deal with wars. It’s in my blood. So if you make me CEO I will not only resist USPW and SWF but I will eventually win this. Because for me this isn’t just a job. For me wrestling is my life. Is my only remaining family. For me wrestling is personal. So I know I have what it takes to make this company great again. I know I can do what Cornell failed to do. Besides I’ve got money to invest and let’s face it, with Kyle wanting to drop the book you don’t have many other options on the roster. Joel, Brent and Robert don’t want to deal with politics, they’re pure wrestlers. So as I see it right now you have no better choice. Unless you want to sell all this to Packer and admit BriCo has failed.</p><p> </p><p>

    Hate saying this because I like them, but I really have no use for the New Wave as singles wrestlers. I've broken them up in the past and neither went anywhere and I cant see myself doing anything other than letting them leave the promotion if I don't pair them back up this time

     

    Well currently playing and I have paired OMA with Human Arsenal (btw, looking for a name related to weapons or war for them) and I'm going to try to push Doc as a singles wrestler with the Elite.... let's see how it goes

    It'd be cool to see Kinatro Kinjo and Erik van Rijn lead UPJ into gaining a presence in the US after taking over the Japanese scene once more.

     

    UPJ forming an Alliance and excursion deal with CLLM would be cool as well.

     

    I always end up doing this on my CLLM saves. Hopefully it happens.

    Speaking of Mexico I see El Angel returning after a bad run with the AWF... maybe he returns to CLLM and with Acuatico returning from injury the war there between them an IMPERIO will be more interesting.

     

    On the US side I can see Hollywood becoming a big thing and going one on one with the AWF still struggling. As I hate Allman hopefully things will look bad for PWI and some wrestlers will have left by 2020. Maybe EVOLVE finally opens? Led by some wrestlers?

    Hey that's a really nice thing to do! Thanks a lot mate.

     

    As many have said there are so many great moments in wrestling and every year we have at least one or two more to add. But in my opinion I think I'll go for something recent...

     

    Daniel Bryan winning the title at Wrestlemania XXX. Just yesterday I re watched the match on the "wrestlemania theater" they have on the network and I cried. It was a beautiful moment backed by a great story. I had followed Bryan's career since 2004 on the indys... and he had been my favorite wrestler since... so seeing him win against all odds was just amazing. I think I've never felt happier as a wrestling fan. So there's my favorite moment.

    Surely Cross is closer to Raven?

     

    Stevie Vortex's 'cool', 'charisma' and 'aerial'/'flashiness' surely aren't good enough for him to fill the RVD role.

    I'd definitely recommend taking a look at From The Depths for a good ECW experience, ACW are setup to fill that role and there's a plethora of wrestlers with clear ECW parallels.

     

    Yeah I get Vortex is a mediocre worker but the mention of "high flying + martial arts" on his bio led me to that comparison. There's no one else that I could see as an RVD.

     

    Thanks you both for the suggestions, they're really cool. I have also checked FTD and I love the mod but I can't get into a long save with it because there are no free pics for future workers :(

    Killing the Business Mod (HYPE for TEW 2020)

    First of all, thanks for all the hard work. This mod looks like it could be my favorite RW and I can't wait to see the finished version on 2020

     

    That said, I understand this is a beta version so there are some things that you haven't worked on yet. Still maybe this notes on the mexican scene might be helpful

     

    CMLL

    Sofía Alonso shouldn't be the owner. (Salvador) Chavo Lutterroth III should be the owner and Sofía can still be as a personality.

     

    Místico still has his old Dragon Lee pic

     

    On the topic of Místicos I think that the "top guy" spot on CMLL should be for Carístico (the first wwe sin cara) as he is probably one of the more over wrestlers in Mexico. Mistico II is still resisted by a large portion of the crowd.

     

    I'd argue that Barbaro Cavernario deserves better stats as he is probably one of the better workers right now, specially his high flying.

     

    Negro Casas and Blue Panther should be definitely ring generals in the promotion while Ciber and Gilbert not so much... on the same topic Shocker is listed as a show stopper but he is not at his best right now.. I'd say consider lowering his aerial stats

     

    Atlantis (who should be the more over guy on the promotion) is missing as well as his son.

     

    Some other top guys like Sansón and Forastero (Cuatrero's partners in NGD) are missing, as well as Blue panther's sons, Soberano Jr. , La Jarochita, Avispa Dorada, Hechicero are also missing.

     

    I see most of the AAA roster is missing so I'm guessing that's still a work in progress.

     

    Other notes

     

    Dr. Wagner Jr's bio (and pic) say he's still a masked wrestler.

    Sexy Star is also listed as masked.

    LA Park, La parka (deceased) and hijo de LA PARK are all using pics of LA PARK.

    El hijo del Santo has a son who goes by Santo Jr.

    I'd agree with tsdm1996 that Mayu should be in the top 5 franchise definitely, she's basically carrying the company right now.

     

    Also in "talk the talk" I'd say Hana, Giulia, Tam, Arisa and maybe Jaimie Hayter could be featured.

     

    Aand in ring generals maybe Utami or Konami deserve a spot instead of Hana

     

    Those are obviously my thoughts as a fan and are subjective, I have a lot of respect for the work you're doing with this mod.
