  1. Hey guys, just a quick one to apologise for not having the show up yet. Work was mega busy for me last week, and the weekend kind of got away from me. As such, I only have three segments written up... I know, I'm rubbish. I'm currently hoping to have the show wrapped up by Tuesday/Wednesday. This is actually one of my favourite shows that I've booked recently in this dynasty, so not having the time to write it has been a bit frustrating. Sorry for the delay, but hopefully you'll enjoy the show once it's finally posted. Thanks for your patience. CE

Cal Sanders comes into the match on the back of coming up short in his fatal four way title match last time out. Despite losing out, will that multi-man match experience aid the Canadian in this one? Or will the size and strength of Canadian Crusher prove to be the decisive factor, as it has done so many times in the past? Or can Paranoia use the chaos usually associated with multi-man contests to pull off the upset, and pick up his first win in FBIPW? It’s a fact that eats at Joffy Laine, and ‘The Jackhammer’ is desperate to get a win back here to bring the record between these two back level. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/Paradigm_zps954d67b3.jpghttp://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/6229145/1024/CZCW/VS.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/AlanParent_zps08669c68.jpg Paradigm vs Alan Parent w/ Kammy Ling At ‘Enhanced Interrogation’ Alan Parent looked to have the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship won, but it was torn away from him meaning that instead of being in tonight’s Main Event he finds himself facing Paradigm. Renluenn finds himself on a three match winning streak, since he lost his last match with Skip. Davie believes he should be receiving title shots instead of people like Skip, and a win tonight would go some way to starting to add some weight to his claims... http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/CVFP_WhiteMale_079_zps534f9cb0.jpghttp://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/6229145/1024/CZCW/VS.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/Nomad_zpsd4031abd.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n230/jhall2129/TEW%202013%20Title%20belts/FBIFloridaBayHvywt_zps28d294ee.jpg Stanley Carpenter vs Nomad Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship After the chaos of his four way title defence last month, things should be a little more organised in Nomad’s title defence this month as he faces young Stanley Carpenter one on one. Nomad will be confident of getting the job done against Carpenter, who is yet to pick up a victory here in Florida Bay, but the youngster has put in some vastly improved performances in recent months. I was worried that the four way Main Event may have been a risk, but the guys really did a great job and put on one of the best matches in the companies short history. I’d say only Cal Sanders and Joffy Laine’s match last month tops it... and at least I put the right match in the Main Event this time around... However despite the success of the Main Event, I couldn’t help but feel some of the fans left the show disappointed. A lot of fans seemed to be expecting a title change tonight, and after the two teased finishes they seemed disappointed that Nomad was able to walk out as champion again. Still, maybe that’s just Nomad doing his job as a Heel? Either way, I have some fun stuff planned going forward, so hopefully we can win the fans back over... -------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Thank you to everyone who read the show and took the time to predict. Sorry for the delay on the last couple of posts, an afternoon of sunshine caused work to panic that Summer had arrived... forgot we live in England *grumble grumble*... so I’ve had less free time than usual to work on this. I’m still enjoying writing this, and have some stuff which I think should be pretty fun planned, so while this may slow down slightly as we head into Summer it definitely isn’t coming to a stop. My aim is to get out at least one show a week, hopefully all the out of ring posts as well but we’ll see how it goes. I hope to see you all back for the next show

My name is Harvey Manners, and seated to my left is a very happy Eve Runcord.” Eve Runcord: “Thanks Harvey. We wondered if there would be any repercussions for Nomad’s actions in the Main Event at ‘Espionsge’... and the match makers here in Florida Bay International Pro Wrestling haven’t let us down, as tonight we will see the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship defended in a four way match for the very first time!” Harvey Manners: “The odds really are stacked against the Champion in this one...” Eve Runcord: “Serves him right! It just proves you can’t go around breaking all the rules and get away with it. It’s great to see Cal Sanders and Skip Beau getting another chance at the gold after Nomad cheated them out of their last opportunity.” Harvey Manners: “Don’t forget about Alan Parent...” Eve Runcord: “Yeah... well... I guess you can’t have everything in life.” Eve Runcord: “Who does Davie Renluenn think he is? He literally barges in on Cal Sanders promo time, and then just talks about himself...” Harvey Manners: “Well that is his favourite topic...” Eve Runcord: “I’m just glad he wasn’t included in tonight’s Main Event... although including this man isn’t much better...” Harvey Manners: “According to the notes in front of me, Alan Parent was included due to his ‘impressive win-loss record in FBIW’... hard to argue with that.” Harvey Manners: “Kammy Ling there, claiming that Alan Parent’s big match experience from his time in Japan will stand him in good stead for tonight’s Main Event...” Eve Runcord: “Oh come on Harvey... seriously.” Harvey Manners: “What?” Eve Runcord: “You’re not seriously suggesting that you... oh whatever, let’s just move on... our first match of the evening sees young Stanley Carpenter facing off against Canadian Crusher...” Eve Runcord: “A devastating finish from Canadian Crusher there...” Harvey Manners: “Stanley Carpenter fought hard, but in the end the power of Candian Crusher proved to be too much for the youngster.” Eve Runcord: “Another strong performance with no results for Stanley Carpenter, how long until he can get that all important first win?” Harvey Manners: “Tex Tagan making a valid point there. He has been a dominant force here in FBI, how long until he gets a shot at the title?” Eve Runcord: “I just feel sorry for the Paratroopers, they must have thought they’d seen the last of those angry Texans…” Harvey Manners: “Another impressive performance from Davie Renluenn here tonight. You know that he’s not happy about being overlooked for tonight’s four way Main Event, and he really took out all of his frustrations on Paradox there…” Eve Runcord: “Renluenn has certainly upped his game recently, and he definitely wants that shot at Nomad, but there are half a dozen other guys vying for that spot. It’s getting very crowded at the top of the card right now…” Harvey Manners: “And here comes the man they’re all gunning for, the Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion Nomad!” Harvey Manners: “No subtlety from Nomad there, he’s confident of holding on to his title tonight…” Eve Runcord: “And unbelievably, he showed no remorse for his actions at ‘Espionage’. I hope somebody kicks his a$$ tonight…” Harvey Manners: “An absolutely dominant display from the Texan boys there…” Eve Runcord: “That was actually a little frightening. Whoever wins in our Main Event will have to know that Tex Tagan and Joffy Laine are coming after them… and that’s not a position I’d want to be in.” Harvey Manners: “Such is the peril of being the Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion… but who will be the next beneficiary of some Southern Hospitality? Can Nomad overcome the odds, or will we see the crowning of a new Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion? Let’s find out in our four way Main Event!” Eve Runcord: “No! How did Nomad manage to get out of that one?” Harvey Manners: “I don’t know… he played almost no part in the match, spending almost the entirety knocked out on the floor outside the ring, but Nomad is… somehow… still the Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion.” Eve Runcord: “I thought for sure we’d see a new champion tonight…” Harvey Manners: “We may not like the way he conducts himself, but it’s hard to argue with Nomad when he says he gets the job done…” Eve Runcord: “The numbers were meant to work against the champion, but in the end he made them work to his advantage.” Harvey Manners: “We were so close to seeing Alan Parent named champ, Cal Sanders was a second away from tapping out when Skip Beau broke that hold! How will the ‘Puroresu Master’ react? Who’s next for Nomad? Make sure to join us next time to find out! Thank you for joining us, and goodnight!” Show Rating: E

  6. United States Department Of Justice Federal Investigation Bureau June 1, 2013 http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss39/Kamchatka863/SWF_kam.jpghttp://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/jamescasey_photos/SWF/RichardEisen.jpg "Operation Lullaby" Case Note – Entry #14 Filed By: Ted McCulloch May proved to be a rather disastrous month for the SWF, as their recent strategy of using PPV’s to, almost exclusively, further TV storylines finally caught up with the company. ‘Master Of Puppets’ drew what was comfortably the lowest buy rate the SWF has pulled in 2013, the 2.49 being 0.34 lower than they had managed for ‘Awesome Impact’ in March. In fact, the 2.49 buy rate for ‘Master Of Puppets’ was the lowest buy rating the company had pulled in over a decade. Surely this will see some alarm bells ringing in Supreme HQ, and we’ll see a change of strategy in the coming months. If we don’t, then there is definitely something strange going on... no company should be able to survive with its primary revenue stream cut. Ironically, May was a hugely successful month for the SWF in terms of show quality. The final episode of Supreme TV for May is being hailed as ‘show of the year’ so far, with the Main Event of Remo/Angry Gilmore being touted as a potential MOTY candidate... and this may be part of the problem. Why would fans buy the PPV’s when the free TV is much more engaging, and of better quality that the paid content? It also doesn’t help that the company is using their Pay Per Views to build storylines for use on Supreme TV. A prime example of this strategy was the feud between Jack Bruce and Christian Faith, which continued from April. May kicked off with Christian Faith defeating Bruce in a gimmicked ‘Pick Your Partner’ tag team number one contenders match, as Faith/Vengeance defeated Bruce/Eisen earning Faith a shot at Frehley at ‘Master Of Puppets’. However the PPV title match was merely used as a prop to further the feud, as Jack Bruce interfered to cost Faith the title and further the feud. Then, worst of all, the very next night on Supreme TV saw Jack Bruce and Christian faith go one on one in the Main Event... on free TV. A match between the two biggest stars in the company, having been built for the past month, went to a clean finish on FREE TV... no wonder nobody’s buying the Pay Per Views. Worst of all, this match was contested in front of less than 5,000 fans in The Maritimes... I bet they couldn’t believe their luck. Maybe this small time setting hurt the match, as it is widely considered a disappointment and a surprisingly poor match. The SWF rounded out the month by teasing a possible introduction of Remo into the feud, as he was involved in angles with both Jack Bruce and Christian Faith in the final Supreme TV of the month. Remo’s feud with Christian Faith from a couple of months ago was of course never properly resolved. 7. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/CVFP_WhiteMale_079_zps534f9cb0.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/FBI_zps3615e149.jpg “Back On Track” Coming off the back of ‘Espionage’, I couldn’t help but have mixed feelings. While in theory the show had been a great success, with an increased attendance and no visual drop off in quality, it could have been so much better... and I have to take the blame for the fact it wasn’t. Putting Cal Sanders and Joffy Laine on as the Semi-Main was a mistake. The guys blew the roof off the place, putting on the best match in FBI history, but in doing so completely overshadowed the Main Event. I trusted Nomad and Skip Beau to put on a great match, but they just couldn’t live up to the standards of the Sanders/Laine match, and the show suffered for it. However on a more positive note, we managed to turn a profit for the month for the first time since we began running two shows a month. We only made $24 for the month, but it definitely gave us something to build on, and represented a $650 swing from April. This was no doubt helped by the bumper attendance we drew for ‘Espionage’, now we just had to work on retaining those fans... Espionage also saw us introduce a number of potential new contenders for the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship. Nomad has run through our top faces over the last few months, and continually matching the same three or four guys against each other can get stale very quickly. Introducing new challengers to the division gives the crowd something new to think about, and will hopefully create some good matches going forward. --------------------------------------------------- OOC: I just wanted to thank everybody who took the time to read the show. I hope you enjoyed it, and any feedback/constructive criticism you have on the diary to date would be greatly appreciated. Just a note on the prediction contest. I have decided this ‘round’ will run through until I hit ‘Small’ size in game. As I don’t know exactly when this will happen, I won’t be announcing the end of the prediction contest in advance. A new prediction contest will follow on from the show after the rise in size. If I had to estimate I would saw I am somewhere between 2-4 shows from small (I would be more accurate, but RTG rules dictate I can only play with letter grades which are pretty vague). The prize I’m thinking of currently are the top two predictors can recommend a few guys they would like to see in FBI, and I’ll look at adding at least one (maybe more) of them to the roster. Any thoughts on this as a prize? I hope to see you all back next show

My name is Harvey Manners, and beside me at the announce desk tonight is the lovely Eve Runcord!” Eve Runcord: “Thanks Harvey. There were a number of talking points coming out of ‘Covert Operations’ that I’m looking forward to being resolved. Nomad once again managed to underhandedly retain his Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship; will there be any retribution tonight? Will Davie Renluenn get the title shot he’s chasing? And with Tex Tagan and Joffy Laine putting the Paratroopers behind them, what’s next for the two Texans?” Harvey Manners: “So many questions, but how many answers will we get tonight?” Eve Runcord: “Well here comes a man who could give us his perspective on what happened in last month’s Main Event. Cal Sanders is on his way to the ring!” Eve Runcord: “The reason Skip Beau is getting his title shot, Mr Renluenn, is because he is the man that Nomad was quite clearly going after. The only reason you took the impact is because it backfired... quite spectacularly I might add.” Harvey Manners: “I know Nomad was after Skip, you know Nomad was after Skip... but Davie doesn’t seem willing to let this one go any time soon. He seems genuinely pissed that Nomad got involved in the match.” Eve Runcord: “I don’t think for a second that Davie is bothered by the ethics of a wrestler interfering in a match that they aren’t involved in. He sees this as a chance to force his way into the title picture. Nothing more, nothing less.” Eve Runcord: “Does Kammy Ling really think that Alan Parent can become Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion?” Harvey Manners: “I hate to say it, but technically Alan Parent did beat Skip Beau last time out… and he does have a surprisingly good record in FBI wrestling.” Eve Runcord: “Oh come on Harvey… he only beat Skip Beau because Nomad got involved.” Harvey Manners: “That may be the case, but you know what they say: A wins a win, and they all count.” Eve Runcord: “Whoever came up with that saying is an idiot…” Harvey Manners: “An impressive performance there from Alan Parent…” Eve Runcord: “Maybe so, but one good performance does not make you the number one contender…” Harvey Manners: “Maybe not officially, but I think in Kammy Ling’s mind Alan Parent just took on that title.” Harvey Manners: “Oh my, it seems everybody in the company is demanding a shot at the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship…” Eve Runcord: “Nomad’s going to need to grow eyes in the back of his head for the next few months, because people are coming at him from all sides.” Harvey Manners: “But who’s going to be the first to lay down their marker tonight? Davie Renluenn has his chance now, as he is in singles action…” Harvey Manners: “Davie Renluenn puts down a marker. Is it enough to earn him the next shot at Nomad and the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship? I don’t know… but Renluenn looked more focused out there than usual. I think he really wants this…” Eve Runcord: “Of course he wants the title… the man’s got the biggest ego I’ve ever encountered. I’m constantly amazed that it fits inside this bar. Holding that title would only help him play to that ego even more…” Harvey Manners: “Maybe so, but he’s not the only man with his eyes on the gold. Tex Tagan also has Nomad in his sights… and the Texan is in action next.” Eve Runcord: “Oh my, what a Lariat! That was lethal!” Harvey Manners: “That move has done for many wrestlers in the past, and once again the Lariat has earned Tex Tagan victory here tonight. Can it take him all the way to the title?” Eve Runcord: “On the evidence we’ve seen so far, it would take a brave person to bet against him…” Harvey Manners: “I can’t say that I disagree with you… but I think we’ve heard enough from guys who think they should be getting a shot at the gold… how about we hear from the man who actually is? The number one contender for the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship is on his way to the ring!” Eve Runcord: “Skip Beau seems really fired up for this one!” Harvey Manners: “Nomad has been a thorn in his side for months. Skip’s frustration must have built up with every interference, with every underhand tactic… and tonight he finally gets his chance to get Nomad in that ring and release that frustration.” Eve Runcord: “Could tonight be the night we see the end of Nomad’s reign as Florida bay Heavyweight Champion? Can Skip Beau become the champion that this company so badly needs?” Eve Runcord: “A brutal display from Canadian Crusher there…” Harvey Manners: “Crusher has had huge success in FBI when facing opponents who he towers over, however when you put him against someone nearer his own size he has found it difficult to bully them in the same way.” Eve Runcord: “That may be true, but how many opponents out there are the size of Canadian Crusher?” Harvey Manners: “Good point…” Eve Runcord: “I hope Skip tears his head off…” Harvey Manners: “You and every person in here by the sound of it.” Eve Runcord: “What a match! But it’s Cal Sanders who walks away with the win, and that’s got to put him right back in the frame for the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship!” Harvey Manners: “Absolutely, Sanders can’t be too far away from another shot at the gold… but who will he be chasing, Nomad or Skip Beau? Let’s find out in our Main Event!” Eve Runcord: “What the hell happened? Skip Beau had that match won! I’m calling shenanigans!” Sure enough as Nomad backed away to the curtain, title draped loosely over his shoulder, he help up a pair of brass knuckles to the crowd. The obvious implication that they had been the reason for his sudden, and shocking, pinfall. As he backs away, Nomad mouths the words “By any means necessary.” Eve Runcord: “Brass Knuckles! That’s how he did it! Disqualify him ref!” Harvey Manners: “I don’t think Charles Hapstander saw them! His view was obstructed during the match, and Nomad knew damn well that the referee’s focus was on an unconscious Skip Beau when he was flaunting them after the match...” Eve Runcord: “This is getting ridiculous. He can’t be allowed to get away with this...” Harvey Manners: “Nomad’s got away with a lot since he become Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion, but I agree that this time he’s gone too far. While Nomad and Cal Sanders couldn’t quite match their efforts at Law & Order, they nonetheless did a great job in the Main Event and now hold the top two spots in the promotions best matches list. While we couldn’t maintain the bumper crowd that we drew for ‘Mission Impossible’, it looks like we did manage to hold on to a few of the new fans that attended that show. While this does suggest that the bumper crowd of 46 for ‘Mission Impossible’ was a one off, we can take heart that a crowd of 28 is still nearly double what we were drawing less than a month ago. ‘Covert Operations’ also saw the end to the feud between the Paratroopers and Southern Hospitality. The feud began on our very first show, and stretched out over nearly five months. Southern Hospitality got their win; Tex Tagan has his hat back and is now ready to move on o pastures new. Exciting times ahead for him certainly... -------------------------------------------------- OOC: Thank you to everybody who took the time to predict on the show. If anybody has any feedback on the show, or on the diary so far, it would be greatly appreciated Hope to see everyone back next show
  11. Thanks guys, I think you are going to like what I have planned for the next couple of shows. You can't trust what those Florida Bay fans think, they don't appreciate the art form of Puroresu wrestling. I saw that match and I can reliably inform you that is was a Puroresu masterpiece.... honest!

My name is Harvey Manners, and I am joined at ringside, as always, by the lovely Eve Runcord.” Eve Runcord: “Thanks Harvey, and what a night tonight promises to be after the events of ‘Mission Impossible’ only two weeks ago. Not only did we see Cal Sanders named number one contender for the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship, but we also saw Skip Beau overcome Davie Renluenn, and an interfering Nomad, to pick up a huge win in the Main Event...” Harvey Manners: “And that’s not to mention the announcement of the six-man tag match to finally settle this feud between the Paratroopers and the Southern Hospitality boys.” Eve Runcord: “Davie Renluenn’s claims get more and more ridiculous each and every week. It was obvious that at ‘Mission Impossible’ Nomad was trying to attack Skip Beau when he got involved in the Main Event, not Davie Renluenn.” Harvey Manners: “Davie Renluenn is a man who doesn’t like losing, and he’ll try to put the blame on anyone but himself if at all possible. Passing the blame on to Nomad is his way of avoiding the disappointment of losing.” Eve Runcord: “Renluenn can blame whoever he wants, at the end of the day he just couldn’t get the job done.” Harvey Manners: “Speaking of not getting the job done, here comes the man who Cal Sanders beat to be named the number one contender. How do you think Alan Parent and Kammy Ling are going to take that loss?” Eve Runcord: “I can’t imagine they’ll take it any better than Renluenn…” Harvey Manners: “Kammy Ling seems confident that Alan Parent can get things back on track here tonight against Skip Beau.” Eve Runcord: “Skip Beau is not a man I would be too confident about beating. 6’8, 280lb and fresh off the back of a victory in the Main Event at ‘Mission Impossible’… sounds like a difficult man to beat to me.” Harvey Manners: “I’m not disagreeing with you, but the pressure is really on Alan Parent to get a ‘W’ here.” Eve Runcord: “Oh come on! What the hell was Nomad doing out here?” Harvey Manners: “Well Skip Beau got the better of the Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion last month, I guess Nomad just couldn’t let that rest…” Eve Runcord: “How Nomad keeps getting away with this is beyond me… I guess all we can do is hope Skip Beau gets his hands on him sometime soon…” Eve Runcord: “Well Tex Tagan and Joffy Laine sounding very confident there…” Harvey Manners: “I hate to say it, but they may have every right to be. Tex Tagan remains undefeated here in FBIPW, and you only have to look at Canadian Crusher to know he is a force to be reckoned with.” Eve Runcord: “Well the beauty of these six-man matches is that they tend to bring an air of unpredictability. We just have to hope that the Paratroopers can take advantage of that somehow…” Harvey Manners: “We can only hope… and here comes another man who’s not short of confidence. Davie Renluenn on the way out for his match…” Harvey Manners: “A hard fought victory for Davie Renluenn there…” Eve Runcord: “Renluenn may have picked up the win, but I think Stanley Carpenter has impressed a few people with his performance here tonight.” Harvey Manners: “The 18 year old rookie has certainly looked to be on the right track with his performances in recent weeks. If he keeps performing as he has been, then it won’t be too long until he gets that all important first victory.” Eve Runcord: “And here’s the man who cheated Carpenter out of a potential first win at ‘Mission Impossible’. The Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion is on his way to the ring…” Eve Runcord: “What… a… d*ck.” Harvey Manners: “Nomad very confident here tonight… but, as much as I hate to admit it, hidden somewhere in between the insults and hyperbole he does have a point. He has beaten Cal Sanders twice before.” Eve Runcord: “The beauty of wrestling is that anybody can beat anybody on any given night, and I just hope to god that tonight is Cal’s night. After the abuse he has received from Nomad over the past few months, I would love him to be the guy to wipe the arrogant smirk off of Nomad’s face.” Harvey Manners: “Well that match is still to come, but before our Main Event we have a huge six-man tag grudge match. Joffy Laine and Tex Tagan have grown tired of the Paratroopers antics, and promise to put a stop to it tonight. Who will come out on top? Let’s find out now…” Harvey Manners: “That Lariat of Tex Tagan’s gets the job done again. Paradigm turned inside out by the impact…” Eve Runcord: “The Paratroopers put up a good fight, but the power of their opponents just proved too much for them.” Following the win, Tagan walks down to the announce desk and grabs his Cowboy hat. Shaking the hat, Tagan defiantly lifts the hat to his head. Looking very comfortable now that he has his hat back, Tagan makes his way to the back with his team, not even sparing a glance back for his defeated opponents. Eve Runcord: “Well with Parent, Renluenn and now Southern Hospitality & Canadian Crusher all being victorious, it is left to Cal Sanders to try and save the show…” Harvey Manners: “A lot of pressure to put on one man… can he pull it off?” Eve Runcord: “How did the referee miss that? Nomad has stolen yet another win, and yet another title defence!” Harvey Manners: “I don’t think this will be the last we hear of this… be sure to join us next time to see the fallout!” Rating: E

The Christian Faith/Remo feud continued... on FREE TV, with a match that went to a no contest on the opening Supreme TV of the month. This, seemingly ‘made for TV’ feud, continued with a backstage confrontation between the pair at ‘The World Is Watching’. One can only speculate if this confrontation distracted Remo during his Main Event match for the SWF World Heavyweight Championship against Steve Frehley, as the champion was able to retain. The last Supreme TV of the month saw Jack Bruce start an argument with ‘The Iron Man’ over who was the biggest name in the SWF today. With the two men failing to reach an agreement over which of them had achieved more in the SWF, it seems likely that this feud may take centre stage going into ‘Master Of Puppets’. While ‘The World Is Watching’ saw an improvement from Awesome Impact in terms of buy rate, and saw the SWF hit a 3.00 buy rate for only the second time in 2013, the PPV still lacked any real build and a lot of the matches seemed a bit rushed. More attention was paid on the ongoing feud between Faith and Remo for much of the month, leaving many observers confused by the SWF’s current strategy. In other news, the SWF recalled Bear Bekowski from development during April. Having spent nearly six years in RIPW, the SWF clearly felt Bear was as developed as he was ever going to be. While the SWF has always had a home for untalented, hulking behemoths, many believe that Bear’s abilities in the ring may not even stand up to the scrutiny of the SWF product. It remains to be seen how long the SWF persist with the big man. Bear Bekowski is yet to make his TV debut for the SWF at the time of this report. This was best illustrated by ‘Law & Order’ which was the best show we have put on in the promotions short history. I believe this has been helped at least in part by our new strategy of running two shows a month instead of just one. The extra show gives the wrestlers more opportunities to learn, gives them more exposure and allows the crowd to get to know the characters better. All four shows run throughout March and April saw the promotion increase in popularity.</p><p> </p><p> However our new strategy did see us take somewhat of a hit financially. March saw us lose $934 for the month. This was improved to a loss of $616 in April, meaning a loss of over $1500 for the two months. This leaves the promotion with $8771 in the bank, meaning we could run at that level for another 6 months before we run into serious problems. </p><p> </p><p> However the improved attendance for ‘Mission Impossible’ gives me hope that we can continue to further limit our losses going forward and, if growth continues, turn the strategy into a money making exercise. I’d certainly like to throw my support behind extending the experiment into the summer months.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x32/Kidbrit/Puresim/TEW%2013/TexTagan_zps0f7e562b.jpg</span><span>http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/EveRuncord_zpsa1ab512c.jpg</span><span>http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/bennyd81/RTG/DavieRenluenn_zps911a870f.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Agent Usage</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> Special Agent Cardillo and Special Agent Piercy have continued in their roles as Main Event Heel’s over the previous two months. Special Agent Cardillo has been pushed strongly throughout March and April, with a 3-1 record and being involved in two Main Events. He is also positioned to move into a major storyline as we move into May and beyond. Special Agent Piercy has continued in his tag team with Joffy Laine, and their rivalry with the Paratroopers. The feud has been dominated by Tagan & Laine, and with the feud moving quickly towards its ‘blow off match’. Expect Special Agent Piercy to move further up the card in the near future.</p><p> </p><p> Junior Agent Bruin has continued to do solid work in her role as Colour Commentator. I don’t know where the extra thirty fans came from, but somehow we managed to treble our usual attendance. Would this trend continue? It was difficult to say, but what I could say was that the attendance bump meant that we only lost $616 for the month of April. A clear improvement on the $934 we lost in March. Hopefully the progression would convince Section Chief Davies to allow me to continue running two shows a month for the foreseeable future. Regardless, the signs are good that word is getting around about FBIPW. Had word reached the ears of Richard Eisen yet? I could speculate, but it is impossible to know for sure… While we didn’t manage to match the quality of ‘Law & Order’ in April, we did manage to improve our popularity with each show… which is all we can ask for at this stage. All in all, I’d put it down as a good month, definitely something to build on. --------------------------------- OOC: Thank you to everybody who took the time to predict on the show. My name is Harvey Manners, and joining me at the announce desk tonight, as always, is the beautiful Eve Runcord.” Eve Runcord: “Thanks Harvey, and what a night ‘Mission Impossible’ promises to be! I for one cannot wait for tonight’s Main Event! After being cost the title at ‘Prime Suspect’, Skip Beau has the opportunity to get his hands on Davie Renluenn one on one!” Harvey Manners: “Renluenn can’t be too happy about that. I certainly wouldn’t want to find myself in the ring with an angry 6’8 280lb Skip Beau!” Eve Runcord: “Davie Renluenn may not be happy, but I couldn’t be happier. Nobody could deserve it more.” Harvey Manners: “Skip Beau isn’t the only man to have issues with Renluenn in recent months of course. Cal Sanders was also cost his chance at the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship by Renluenn’s interference, and it looks like Cal is on his way out now...” Eve Runcord: “Who the hell does Davie Renluenn think he is? I hope Skip Beau tears him in half in the Main Event...” Harvey Manners: “Davie did a lot of huffing and puffing there, but I don’t think he’s flustered Cal Sanders yet. Sanders manages to maintain his calm when many others would blow, and I think that holds him in good stead here in Florida Bay.” Eve Runcord: “Renluenn does seem to be trying to get under Cal’s skin, but up to now hasn’t been successful, even with his surprise opponent for Sanders last time out in Canadian Crusher.” Harvey Manners: “Speaking of Canadian Crusher, he’s on his way out for his match with Paradigm...” Eve Runcord: “What are Tagan & Laine doing out here?” Harvey Manners: “They promised revenge on the Paratroopers, and I can only guess this is a part of it...” Harvey Manners: “It may have taken a few weeks, but I think it’s fair to say the consequences of stealing Tex Tagan’s hat are finally starting to catch up to the Paratroopers...” Eve Runcord: “You’ve got to feel sorry for them, they’ve got two angry Texans gunning for them and the Texans have enlisted the help of a Canadian monster!” Harvey Manners: “I don’t think Paradox & Paranoia can worry about ‘Covert Operations’ yet, they have to focus on getting through this tag match tonight first!” Harvey Manners: “An ominously destructive display from Joffy Laine and Tex Tagan there...” Eve Runcord: “They jumped the Paratroopers before the match had even started, Paradox and Paranoia didn’t stand a chance of getting back into the match.” Harvey Manners: “They’ll have to hope for a fairer contest next month will allow them to compete, or they could well be overwhelmed again...” Eve Runcord: “Nomad… as a role model! In what kind of mixed up world does that happen?” Harvey Manners: “I think Stanley Carpenter knows better than to listen to the rubbish Nomad is spouting. However, I do agree with one thing that Nomad said, this is a huge opportunity for Carpenter.” Eve Runcord: “Absolutely, imagine what a win against the Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion would do for his young career.” Eve Runcord: “I think Nomad just proved that he isn’t fit to be a role model to anyone. Carpenter was on the way to the biggest win of his career, until that blatant eye gouge allowed Nomad back into the match.” Harvey Manners: “It does make you wonder if Nomad has any morals at all. He’s already shown he’ll do anything necessary to retain his Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship, but this was a non-title match against an 18 year old rookie!” Eve Runcord: “Someone’s got to put a stop to Nomad, before he gives FBIPW a bad name… and this could be the man to do it!” Eve Runcord: “I would love to see Skip Beau get his hands on Nomad one of one, and find out who the better man is... with no outside interference.” Harvey Manners: “I think everybody would; but even if Skip can put Davie Renluenn out of action in tonight’s Main Event, that won’t make him next in line to get a shot at Nomad’s title. That honour will belong to the winner of our next match, which is a number one contenders match!” Eve Runcord: “Who will it be who gets the next shot at the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship? Will it be ‘The Leaping Lumberjack’ Cal Sanders, or the (sigh) ‘Puroresu Master’ Alan Parent? We’ll find out next!” Harvey Manners: “If Kammy Ling proves to be right, and Alan Parent wins here tonight… who would you support in the Nomad/Parent title match?” Eve Runcord: “Oh don’t even go there. I just have to hope that Sanders can get the job done here tonight…” Harvey Manners: “He’s done it! Cal Sanders puts an end to the winning streak of Alan Parent, and as a result will get another chance at the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship, as he faces Nomad at ‘Covert Operations’.” Eve Runcord: “Thank god for that! Let’s hope Cal can take the title away from Nomad, and FBIPW can finally get a champion we can be proud of.” Harvey Manners: “Hear hear. Could Skip Beau help Cal Sanders chances by beating Davie Renluenn in the Main Event? Davie Renluenn has cost both Cal Sanders & Skip Beau the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship in recent months by interfering in their title matches…” Eve Runcord: “I don’t think Skip Beau beating Davie Renluenn can do anything to hurt Sanders chances… and even if it does, it will still be great watching Skip smack Davie around the ring…” Eve Runcord: “Haha. FINALLY, after weeks of watching Nomad and Renluenn cheat their way to the top, we see Skip Beau catching a break and pinning Davie Renluenn in the middle of that ring… and it couldn’t have looked any better!” Harvey Manners: “Beau may have won a small victory over Nomad tonight, but Nomad is still the Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion. I’d hold any celebrations until that stops being the case…” Eve Runcord: “Maybe Cal Sanders is the man to take the title off of Nomad?” Harvey Manners: “Maybe he is? To find out, be sure to join us in two weeks time for ‘Covert Operations’! Thank you for watching, goodnight!” Show Rating: E

While there were undoubtedly some positives coming out of the show, I couldn’t help but focus on a negative. For the first time in the companies short history we had seen a drop in attendance. Now this wouldn’t be such a problem if we hadn’t lost nearly $1000 last month. If we couldn’t get attendances up, we would probably be looking at losing even more money than we did last month... If that turns out to be the case, it would probably have to mean an end to our experiement of running two shows per month. This would be a shame, as the experiment has seen some real improvements over the past couple of months. Maybe I was jumping the gun here? I mean we still have another show to run this month, and I won’t be in a position to really assess the impact of the drop in attendance until after the second show... --------------------------------- OOC: Thank you to everybody who took the time to predict on the show. We’re here at the Rainbow Bar & Grill for the latest edition of Florida Bay International Pro Wrestling. I’m your announcer Harvey Manners, and joining me at the announce desk tonight is the lovely Eve Runcord.” Eve Runcord: “Thanks Harvey. Tonight promises to be a truly explosive show, as Skip Beau gets his opportunity to get his hands on the man who cheated him out of the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship over two months ago at National Security. Skip’s been dying to get his hands on Nomad ever since and tonight he finally gets his chance, as tonight’s Main Event sees Skip Beau vs Nomad for the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship!” Harvey Manners: “But will Skip get a fair shot? We saw what happened to Cal Sanders last time out, as Davie Renluenn got involved to cost Sanders his chance to become Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion... and Skip Beau is another guy who has had issues with Renluenn in the past few months.” Eve Runcord: “I think everyone involved with this company over the past few months has had issues with Davie Renluenn, but you’re right Skip will need to have eyes in the back of his head tonight.” Harvey Manners: “But before all of that, it looks like we’re going to hear from the man who was screwed out of the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship last month. Cal Sanders is on his way to the ring!” Eve Runcord: “Have I mentioned how much I hate that guy?” Harvey Manners: “Renluenn has pulled a real fast one here. There’s no way Sanders could have prepared to face someone like Canadian Crusher here tonight.” Harvey Manners: “An impressive win from Cal Sanders here tonight, defeating a much larger opponent he had no time to prepare for.” Eve Runcord: “I think Sanders just showed Davie Renluenn why he was chosen to get a shot at the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship at Law & Order, and that he deserved that shot.” Harvey Manners: “I don’t know whether Davie Renluenn will share that view, but certainly Cal Sanders back on track tonight.” Eve Runcord: “And here comes another man who will be looking to get back on track tonight. Joffy Laine, who has lost his previous two matches, is on his way out with Tex Tagan.” Harvey Manners: “Joffy Laine looks to get things back on track tonight after two losses on the bounce. Can he turn things around against Paranoia?” Eve Runcord: “Paranoia has struggled of late as well, a win would be huge for both men in this match.” Harvey Manners: “Joffy Laine back on track here tonight, as he pins Paranoia.” Eve Runcord: “Paranoia made it difficult for Laine, but just couldn’t live with his larger opponent.” Harvey Manners: “With Tex Tagan promising revenge in the coming weeks, I don’t think this is the last time we’ll be seeing these two facing off either...” Harvey Manners: “Things are heating up already heading into our Main Event!” Eve Runcord: “Who does Nomad think he’s kidding? The only reason he’s Florida Bay Heavyweight Champion is because he hasn’t been caught cheating yet. It can only be a matter of time until that changes...” Harvey Manners “Another reason why Nomad is still champion was Davie Renluenn’s interference in last month’s Main Event. Renluenn wants a shot at the title, can he put himself into the picture with a win here tonight?” Eve Runcord: “What the hell was Joffy Laine doing out here?” Harvey Manners: “I think we may have just seen Joffy Laine ‘putting things right’...” Eve Runcord: “He had no right to be out here, and... oh god. As if things weren’t already bad enough...” Eve Runcord: “I didn’t think it was possible, but I think Kammy Ling is making less and less sense every time I hear her...” Harvey Manners: “Maybe so, but you can’t deny that she’s had a huge impact on Alan Parent’s fortunes since her arrival. The ‘Puroresu star’ hasn’t lost since she arrived...” Eve Runcord: “Don’t you mean ‘Alan Pawent’ hasn’t lost...” Harvey Manners: “Alan Parent wins again... and for once Kammy Ling didn’t have to get involved at all...” Eve Runcord: “Everybody has a good day I guess. The worst part of all this is that now that Parent has a clean win, Ling’s claims are going to become unbearable...” Harvey Manners: “Another dominant win for Tex Tagan...” Eve Runcord: “I think he just sent a very clear message to the Paratroopers... and I wouldn’t want to be one of those boys right now.” Harvey Manners: “While Tagan may be angry at not having his hat, we have a man coming out that is about to get exactly what he’s been wanting. Skip Beau on his way out for the Main Event... where he finally gets his shot at Nomad, and the Florida Bay Heavyweight Championship!” Eve Runcord: “You’ve got to be kidding me! How does he keep getting away with stuff like this? That’s two Main Events in a row that Davie Renluenn has got involved in...” Harvey Manners: “I don’t know, but I’m sure this isn’t the last we’ll be hearing of this... look at how angry Skip Beau is in the ring!” Back in the ring, Skip Beau has chased both Nomad and Davie Renluenn to the back, and the 280 pounder is pacing the ring in frustration. He does not look like a man you would want to cross any time soon. Eve Runcord: “Well, Davie Renluenn wanted all eyes on him... and I can safely say that both Cal Sanders, and now Skip Beau, both have their eyes trained in directly on him.” Harvey Manners: “I think you may be right... but to find out for sure, be sure to join us for the next edition of Florida Bay International Pro Wrestling! Thank you for joining us and goodnight...” Show Rating: E

The match took place on the first Supreme TV of the month, and rounded off a very impressive show. While the match was generally well received, it left many industry experts perplexed. The SWF had spent the whole of February building to a match between two of their biggest stars... and then they give it away on free TV? Many had anticipated Remo/Faith headlining the Awesome Impact PPV, so to give a money match like this away on free TV is a surprising move from the company. As it was, the Main Event of Awesome Impact was instead an SWF Title match between Eric Eisen and Steve Frehley. Eric Eisen had beaten Steve Frehley in a non-title match for the third time in less than three months two days prior Awesome Impact, but Frehley was finally able to overcome his nemesis at the fourth time of asking when the title was on the line, live on PPV. Don’t expect this to be the last we see of this feud however... With the only heavily advertised match prior to Awesome Impact being the title match between Eisen and Frehley, buy rates for the PPV continued to fall from the opening two months of the year. (0.12 down from ‘Nothing To Lose’, 0.54 down from ‘When Hell Freezes Over’). With struggling buy rates, the decision to give away such a big match on TV is even more perplexing... especially as Supreme TV viewing figures have held steady since the start of the year (12.6-12.9). With PPV buy rates traditionally being a key source of income for a promotion; this behaviour seems self-detrimental by the SWF. With this in mind I recommend taking a closer look at SWF buy rates in the future as well as closer analysis of their other sources of income. If the PPV buy rates aren’t raking the money in for Eisen, what is? 24. Thanks for the kind words smwilliams. There's no doubt that in 'reality' none of my guys are even on the SWF's radar, but I think Stanley likes to imagine they're a lot closer than they actually are .
