  1. Thanks @scapegoat! I was really happy with how the show turned out. Silva vs Flynn was always going to rate well in the Main Event, but I was surprised nobody predicted Mallory/Lee as best match of the night - The Springbok has been involved in all of the top 9 matches in NWF history (the Main Event from No Limits is #10). Glad you mentioned Dastardly's title win! I have some fun ideas for his character with the belt, so hopefully you'll enjoy! As to whether Stuart Wilson is turning face, you'll have to wait and see... Thanks @Wrestling Machine! Byron has never been particularly friendly towards his son, but this was a new low! I've been waiting to start this feud (the game said it was too soon to turn Bret until the start of September), and I'm really looking forward to getting into it! Thanks @lieon02! I've been hinting at both Byron and Holly's turn for a few months now, so I'm glad you picked up on it! There was a line a few shows ago from Byron about keeping your enemies where you can see them, and I've tried to put Holly behind Bret in every segment from that point - then of course the betrayal was a low blow from behind. It may be a bit subtle in written format, but I like to put little hints in there for anyone who likes to pick apart the detail! I'm currently working on the annual round up, but it's turned out to be a big post. I'll try to trim it down and post in the next couple of days
  2. WrestleWorld GB & NWF Present: No Limits Saturday W1 October 2021 Attendance: 1677 Show Rating: 72 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello ladies and gentleman, welcome to ‘No Limits’. My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie, we have a huge night of action in store – with the debut of the ‘No Limits’ match! The Cruiserweight title will be suspended between two diagonal cables high above the ring, and the first competitor to retrieve it will walk away with the belt. In the words of the Cruiserweight champion – No Limits, No Ladders, Only Bangers!” Jackie Goldstein: “Elsewhere on the card, Byron has spent the past few weeks goading his own son into facing him in the ring. We are told that Bret Heartbreak has reluctantly accepted the challenge, to defend his girlfriend, Holly Leves’, honour.” Melanie Florence: “That shows a gross misunderstanding of the situation. Byron is just trying to push his son to achieve his potential…” Jackie Goldstein: “It is also a big night for Moore’s Sports Foundation as The Foundation challenge The Northern Lights for the British Tag Team Titles, and, after winning last month’s Battle Royal’ ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn challenges Edison Silva for the British Heavyweight Championship. Can Moore’s Sports Agency walk out of tonight with two belts?” Melanie Florence: “But before all of that, ‘The Springbok’ finally gets his hands of Mo Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’. Landon Mallory vs JK Lee opens the show!” ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory VS ‘The Insurance Policy’ JK Lee w/ Mo Adebola Landon Mallory has been desperate to get his hands on JK Lee, after the ‘Insurance Policy’ cost the South African his British Heavyweight title at ‘Victory’ before returning to eliminate Mallory from the 20-Man Battle Royal having already been eliminated from the match at ‘Battle of Britain’. Perhaps Mallory was too keen to get his hands on Lee, as the South African made an uncharacteristic mistake early on to hand the advantage to his opponent. Lee controlled the match on the mat, progressing his larger opponent through submission holds to wear him down. Lee eventually worked Mallory into a rear choke hold, and with the hold applied for a lengthy period of time… it looked like the South African had passed out. The referee raised Mallory’s arm once. It fell to the mat. Twice. It fell to the mat again. A third time… Mallory kept his hand in the air! This fired up the crowd, and feeding from their energy Mallory delivered a series of hard elbows to the midriff of his opponent to break the hold. Mallory delivered right hand after right hand, before scooping Lee onto his shoulder for a Running Powerslam! The crowd were electric as The Springbok beat his chest as he lined ‘The Insurance Policy’ up for his Springbok Ram! The crowd counted along as Roy Worrall counted the three to conclude an electric opening to the show! Winner: Landon Mallory Rating: 75 On commentary, it was announced that the next match would be the ‘No Limits’ match for the Cruiserweight title. Stagehands could be seen constructing the structure around the ring, and at the top of the ramp a Bench Press had been set up with a bar loaded at 200kg ready for the rematch between Iggy Riot and Stuart Wilson! Stuart Wilson made a big deal of checking Chuck Frisby didn’t have anything on hand he could distract the Olympic Bronze medalist during his lift. Seemingly satisfied, Wilson eventually completed the 200kg lift with relative ease. As usual Chuck Frisby got into his clients face and fired him up, before Iggy Riot too completed the lift. Stuart Wilson was up again first at 205kg. ‘The Celtic Hammer’ lowered the weight… Dwayne Dark sprinted out from the back, and delivered a hard right hand to Stuart Wilson mid-lift! The Scotsman struggled to keep the bar from crushing him, while covering up from Dwayne Dark’s heavy right hands. Chuck Frisby soon sent Iggy Riot in to join in on the attack. The pair were able to remove the bar from on top of Wilson, before Dark stepped back to allow Riot to hit his Riot Control (F5) onto the bench! Stuart Wilson crumpled into a heap and the medical team immediately ran out to check on him – as Chuck Frisby raised both of his clients arms high in the air to a chorus of boos. Rating: 47 As the final preparations for the ‘No Limits’ match were being made, the camera cut backstage to show ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn deep in conversation with his agent Mark Moore. ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory walked into shot and wished Flynn luck in tonights Main Event, saying he would love to see ‘The Prodigy’ win tonight and would be honoured to be his first challenger as champion. The two men shook hands to close the segment. Rating: 76 (C) Leighton Buzzard VS Welsh Dragon VS Damian Dastardly VS Petey Barnes VS Brilliant White ‘No Limits’ Match for the Cruiserweight Title With the structure finally completed, it was time for the first ‘No Limits’ match in NWF history. After a few cautious test jumps to see if they could reach the overhanging cables from the mat (they couldn’t), the action began in earnest – with all five men buzzing around the ring. Leighton Buzzard and Welsh Dragon were the first two men to attempt to cross the overhanging cables, with the two men meeting in the middle and throwing kicks in an attempt to dislodge the other. Neither man looked like falling, until Damian Dastardly took the ‘No Limits’ rule of the match literally and grabbed a chair from ringside and threw it up at both men – knocking them from the cables and sending them crashing to the mat. The action spilled to the outside, with Welsh Dragon, Dastardly, Barnes and Buzzard all brawling on the floor. Brilliant White had been recovering in the ring, but now headed to the top of one of the scaffolds supporting the overhanging wires. Throwing caution to the wind, Brilliant White threw himself from the top of the scaffold towards all four men on the floor. Welsh Dragon and Damian Dastardly were able to dive out of the way, but Buzzard and Barnes took the full force of the spectacular dive – taking all three men out of the match. Welsh Dragon recovered first and made a beeline for the ring, scrambling up the scaffold towards the overhanging cables. Damian Dastardly was a few steps behind him. Welsh Dragon shimmied across the wire and looked like he was going to become the new champion… until Dastardly’s right hand reached out and grabbed Welsh Dragon’s mask and pulled the bottom part up up over his eyes! Temporarily blinded, Welsh Dragon let go of the title to try and regain his vision – giving Dastardly just enough time to unhook the title and claim the victory! Winner & NEW CHAMPION: Damian Dastardly Rating: 62 As the ‘No Limits’ structure was being disassembled, the camera cut backstage to the locker room of The Springbok’ Landon Mallory. There was a knock at the door, and British Heavyweight Champion Edison Silva walked into the room along with his legal advisor Mo Adebola. Adebola told Mallory to take a long, hard look at the belt on his clients shoulder, as this was the closest he would get to it. Mallory may have beaten Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’ earlier tonight – but the lawyer would personally make sure that the South African never got a shot at his clients title again! Rating: 81 Notes: Edison Silva debuted a Hot New Catchphrase Bret Heartbreak w/ Holly Leves VS Byron Bret Heartbreak came into this match clearly still conflicted by the thought of fighting his father. Despite encouragement from Holly Leves at ringside, Bret was clearly holding back in the early exchanges. Byron had no such issues, as he laid into his son with a series of heavy right hands to take control of the match. Once he was in control, Byron began showboating – grabbing his sons hair and yelling in his face that he was a disappointment, before delivering a German Suplex. This seemed to wake Bret up, and the youngster fought back with a German Suplex of his own – before delivering a European Uppercut (a move he learned from his father) that cut Byron. The veteran kicked out of the pin attempt at two, before regaining his feet and feeling the matted blood in his flowing blonde locks. Father and son stood across the ring from each other, Byron dripping blood onto the canvas… However before any more fighting could break out Holly Leves threw herself between the pair, begging them to stop. She told Bret to look at what he had done to his own father… Bret looked across at a bleeding Byron, and his expression softened. Pushing past Holly, Bret offered his father a handshake. Byron seemed to be considering the offer for a moment, before… Low Blow from behind! Bret’s eyes went wide and Byron immediately followed up with an Upper Class (European Uppercut). Referee Roy Worrall hesitated for a moment, it was Bret’s girlfriend/manager who had delivered the low blow - but after a brief pause, the referee dropped to the mat and counted the three to a chorus of boos from the crowd… Winner: Byron Rating: 44 Note: Bret Heartbreak successfully turned babyface At the bell, Holly Leves slid below the bottom rope to slide a chair to Byron before grabbing a microphone for the ten-time World Champion. As Bret slowly struggled back to his feet, Byron delivered a chair shot to the head of his own son – splitting Bret open! With Bret bleeding on the ground, Holly Leves wrapped herself around Byron and passed him the microphone. Byron: “Well… you did ask us to get along better Bret…” Boos rained down on the pair, as Byron continued to address his bleeding son. Byron: “So we took your advice and spent some time together, and we got talking… and the more I talked to Holly, the clearer it became that she wasn’t the problem… you were! You and your entitled attitude! These people are booing me because they think that they are witnessing a father abandoning his son… but the truth is Bret, that YOU abandoned ME! You abandoned me the moment you walked out on the EWA.” The crowd had begun an “Arsehole” chant, which was replaced by a new, louder wave of boos. Byron: “I poured my heart into that company for fifteen years, and my own son just gets up and leaves? That hurt me Bret, but not as much as this is going to hurt you! Because Holly and I have been doing a lot more than just talking over the past few weeks. I’ll leave it up to your imagination, but let’s just say you’re not the only one who calls me “daddy”!” With that, Byron dropped the microphone – giving Holly a sloppy, over exaggerated kiss, before delivering a hard boot to his son’s head and leaving the ring to a chorus of boos. On commentary, Jackie Goldstein couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed, but Melanie Florence simply said that she couldn’t blame Holly – when the choice is between Bret Heartbreak and Byron, there is only one answer… Rating: 56 With the crowd still absorbing what they had just witnessed, we cut backstage to the office of network executive Frank Finkleton. ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie was furious that Leo Price has formed a group to go against the Network. The big Australian ranted that they need to move against Price now, but Frank Finkleton cut him off. The network executive told ‘Big Mac’ that Price and his ‘Young Lions’ could wait – The Northern Lights had a job to do tonight! Finkleton wouldn’t accept losing to clients of Mark Moore, and told Vicious & Jordan to focus up! Alton Vicious told Finkleton not to worry, they had dealt with Sharp & Heath before – beating them on both occasions they had faced off in the NWF. Jordan echoed that nothing had changed, and the champs would deal with The Foundation again tonight! That match is next… Rating: 60 The Foundation w/ Mark Moore VS The Northern Lights NWF British Tag Team Titles These two teams put on a clinic of tag team wrestling, putting on the best tag match in NWF history. The Foundation served as plucky underdogs against their larger opponents, with Martin Heath in particular soaking up a lot of offence to build sympathy heat from the crowd. The Northern Lights looked to have things wrapped us, as they threw Jon Michael Sharp to the outside – leaving a 2-on-1 with a hurt Martin Heath in the ring. Vicious and Jordan continued their beatdown with a series of double team moves, before looking for a double Irish Whip to the corner. Martin Heath was able to use the momentum of the Irish Whip to climb the turnbuckle, and deliver his Hot New Move Rocking The Foundations (Whisper In The Wind) to both members of The Northern Lights leaving all three men down. The crowd were on their feet, as Alton Vicious rolled to the outside – leaving a 1-v-1 in the ring. Heath & Jordan returned to their feet at the same time, and began trading punches – with the crowd cheering Heath and booing Jordan. Eventually Jordan’s size and power advantage came through and he gained control of the exchange. Jordan looked to lift Heath into a Suplex, but the Lightweight was able to slip out the back and catch Jordan in a surprise roll up! Referee Roy Worrall dropped to the mat and counted 1… 2… 3! Riddick Jordan couldn’t believe it as Roy Worrall called for the bell. Winners & NEW CHAMPIONS: The Foundation (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) w/ Mark Moore Rating: 65 ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn w/ Mark Moore VS Edison Silva (C) w/ Mo Adebola British Heavyweight Championship It was Main Event time, and the crowd were fully behind Darin Flynn for this one. Edison Silva and his legal advisor have earned their spot as the most hated duo in NWF. From changing nationality from English to Brazilian after winning the Cruiserweight World Cup (he still carried the Brazilian flag on his shoulders during his entrance), to dodging a title defence at Battle of Britain last month, and the constant cheating to steal victories from the crowds favourites. Everyone in the building wanted to see Darin Flynn emulate his stablemates and walk out with the belt tonight. Darin Flynn showed why he was known as ‘The Prodigy’, as he controlled the tempo throughout the eighteen minute contest. Silva struggled to establish his usual dominance on the mat, and relied on his dangerous elbow and knee strikes to break his opponents momentum. Flynn looked to have Silva in real trouble, as he locked in The Prodigal Pressure at one point – but Mo Adebola was able to pull the champion to the ropes, earning a strong rebuke from both the referee and Mark Moore at ringside. Flynn continued to push home his advantage, until a stray elbow from the champion saw referee Roy Worrall inadvertently knocked out. Darin Flynn immediately began to try to revive the referee, and didn’t notice as Mo Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’ JK Lee slid into the ring behind him… JK Lee looked to be sizing the challenger up to deliver the killer blow, when there was a roar from the crowd and a large figure came sprinting in from out of shot! Landon Mallory delivered the Springbok Ram to JK Lee for the second time tonight! Before rolling ‘The Insurance Policy’ out of the ring and the pair brawled out through the crowd. Back in the ring, Mo Adebola had slid into the ring with his clients British Heavyweight title belt in hand. Darin Flynn turned around, and blocked the attempted shot from Adebola! The lawyer immediately dropped to his knees begging for forgiveness… but it was all a distraction, as Edison Silva delivered his Knee Strike KO to an unsuspecting Darin Flynn! Roy Worrall chose precisely this moment to wake from his nap, and slowly count the three. Winner: Edison Silva – Title Defence #1 Rating: 70 Melanie Florence: “I say it every month, but like him or not – Mo Adebola earns every penny Edison Silva pays him!” Jackie Goldstein: “Edison Silva may have held onto his belt, but we did see two new champions crowned tonight! The Foundation earned their fourth titles as a team, and their first in the NWF! While Damian Dastardly overcame the odds in a ‘No Limits’ match that lived up to its name, to become the new Cruiserweight champion!” Melanie Florence: “And not only did Byron win the match, he got the girl as well! Happy endings do happen Jackie!” Jackie Goldstein: “I’m not sure about that, but for all the fallout be sure to join us on Wednesday night!”

  5. You were technically correct, just not in the way you expected! The bad chemistry from Barnes/Dastardly last match changed how I booked this match - but I still have high hopes for the title match at No Limits! I think the Wilson/Frisby comment is fair. I have avoided Heel/Heel matches so far as they score badly, but I think this time it has been at the detriment of the story. I liked the idea of Wilson buying Frisby's gym, and Frisby finding a proxy to take something back from Wilson (his gym records) - but I think it's dragged on too long with no real pay off. I think I'll try to get the story moving through the beats more quickly, and move both parties on to something new. Glad you're enjoying the Byron and Bret story! It's been a long time coming, but I think now is the right time to kick it off properly!
  6. WrestleWorld GB & NWF Present: NWF National Wrestling Episode 48 Wednesday W1 October 2021 Show Rating: 68 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling! My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence!” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie, we have a huge night of wrestling ahead of us as number one contender – ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn faces Mo Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’ JK Lee only four days before Flynn challenges for Edison Silva’s British Heavyweight Championship!” Jackie Goldstein: “Adebola will be hoping his ‘Insurance Policy’ can soften Flynn up heading into Sunday’s title match… and talking of title matches at ‘No Limit’, we open the show with the final qualifier for the ‘No Limits’ match for the Cruiserweight title! After reviewing the footage from last weeks Main Event, Petey Barnes has been handed a second chance to qualify after Damian Dastardly cheated him out of a victory!” Melanie Florence: “Petey Barnes is nothing but a sore loser! If he had any class he would accept the referee’s decision as final, just like everybody else on the roster!” Petey Barnes vs Brilliant White ‘No Limits’ Qualification Match After being screwed out of his qualification match against Damian Dastardly, Petey Barnes was provided a second chance tonight against Brilliant White. His opponent arrived spectacularly in a flash of (brilliant) white light, that reflected dramatically against his Phantom of the Opera inspired mask. Barnes & Brilliant White engaged in a fast paced contest that Worked The Crowd, with both men putting their bodies on the line in order to try and book their spot in the title match at ‘No Limits’. Brilliant White in particular used his body as a weapon, hurling himself from every part of the ring – including looking for a Springboard Clothesline from the apron that was met with an X-Press Superkick from Petey Barnes! The crowd began chanting ‘That was awesome’ as both men were down… until boos began to rang around the arena. Damian Dastardly came running out from the back with a chair in hand, and delivered chair shots to both competitors – forcing referee Roy Worrall to throw the match out as a No Contest. Winner: No Contest Rating: 54 Damian Dastardly stood in the ring tapping his head - gloating that he had found a way to beat the system and that neither Barnes nor Brilliant White would qualify for the title match on Sunday, keeping the odds firmly in his favour! Before Damian Dastardly could finish gloating, The British Bangers music blared over the speakers and the Cruiserweight champion Leighton Buzzard appeared. Buzzard told Dastardly that the beauty of a ‘No Limits’ match was that the match didn’t have to be limited to four people… and that Sundays Cruiserweight title match would now have FIVE competitors as both Petey Barnes and Brilliant White would be added to the contest! Damian Dastardly looked furious in the ring, as his plan had backfired and only made Sundays match even more chaotic… Rating: 52 We cut to a pre-recorded video, shot in what looked like a University lecture theatre. The Professor stood at the front of what looked like an empty room, with footage from the School of Wrestling’s match with The British Bangers playing behind him. The camera panned out to show that the lecture theatre wasn’t actually empty, and that in the very back row Toxic and Ron Gibson were lounged lazily playing on their phones. The Professor: “Okay phones away boys, it’s time to start. Today we will be reviewing the footage from your matches over the past two weeks…” Ron Gibson (interrupting from the back): “I don’t want to watch those, we lost…” The Professor: “Win or lose, there are always lessons to be learned. My role as your Professor is to provide you with actionable insights that you can apply to your wrestling to help you learn, reflect and grow. Now how does that sound?” There was no response from the back of the room, and the camera cut back to Toxic and Gibson to show both men back on their phones. The Professor (sighing): “Okay, let’s begin.” Rating: 22 Local Talent VS ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson Stuart Wilson returned for his first match on National Wrestling since July, and unfortunately for his local opponent the Olympic Bronze medalist was in a foul mood. Wilson took his frustrations out on his opponent for a few minutes, before hoisting him onto his shoulder for the Bronze Bomber (Running Powerslam) for a routine victory. Winner: ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson Rating: 38 Following the match, Stuart Wilson demanded a microphone from a terrified assistant at ringside. Stuart Wilson: “I set up Olympia to teach the values of the Olympic Spirit and the values of fair competition. Last week those values were tarnished by Chuck Frisby…” At the mention of his name, the music of the personal trainer played over the speaker system to a mixed response. Chuck was flanked by Iggy Riot and Dwayne Dark as he addressed Stuart Wilson from the top of the ramp. Chuck Frisby: “Tarnished the spirit of competition? Don’t make me laugh. All I’m hearing is sour grapes. Iggy here beat you fair and square…” Stuart Wilson: “I’m going to stop you there Chuck, because lets talk about this AFTER we review the footage.” Chuck Frisby: “Wait… what footage?” On screen, a replay played showing Stuart Wilson’s final lift from last weeks Bench Press competition. The bar, loaded at 205kg, was moving smoothly from Stuart Wilson’s chest – until it dropped suddenly, crushing Wilson’s chest. A second replay played, this time zoomed in on Chuck Frisby. During Wilson’s lift, Frisby could be seen spraying the back of Iggy Riot – to cool his athlete down between lifts. However, just before Wilson failed his lift, the footage showed Frisby clearly turn the bottle momentarily and spray water directly into Stuart Wilson’s face! The camera cut back to Chuck Frisby, who looked like a kid who had been caught with his hand in the biscuit tin. Frisby meekly tried to protest his innocence, but Wilson cut across the personal trainer – telling Frisby that this Sunday at ‘No Limits’ Olympia gym would be re-hosting the Bench Press competition and Wilson & Iggy Riot would go one-on-one to determine who was the stronger man once and for all! Rating: 59 Black Country Boys (Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson) VS Glen Ward & Gavin Owen The Black Country Boys’ success following their newly formed alliance with Leo Price continued tonight against the judoka team of Glen Ward & Gavin Owen. Ward & Owen’s judo training allowed them to withstand the hard-hitting styles of Vedmore & Robson for a period – but eventually the size and power advantage of the Black Country Boys gave them the momentum. The Black Country Boys secured a second successive victory, as Gazz Vedmore hit his Rolling DDT on Gavin Owen. Winners: Black Country Boys Rating: 41 We cut to a locker room to find Leo Price alongside his protégé Dangermouth. The pair had just finished watching the Black Country Boys victory, with Leo Price looking very happy with what he had just watched. However the smile was soon wiped off The Lion’s face, as ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie barged into the locker room flanked by The Northern Lights. Nathan McKenzie: “I heard what you two said last week. You should think twice before running your mouth old man…” Dangermouth stepped between ‘Big Mac’ and his mentor Leo Price… not that ‘The Lion’ needed protecting as a Mucular Light Heavyweight. ‘Big Mac’ stood a full head taller than Dangermouth and grinned as he stared down at the grime star. Nathan McKenzie: “You wanna go little man?” The Black Country Boys pushed through the locker room door at just that moment to break the tension. There was a moment of silence, before Dangermouth spoke. Dangermouth: “It ain’t just me anymore… you wanna go at Leo – you got to get through his Young Lions!” Not happy at now being outnumbered, ‘Big Mac’ simply smirked down at Dangermouth before motioning to The Northern Lights that it was time to leave. Leo Price smiled and mused: “Young Lions… I like it.” Rating: 52 The Party Animals (Rave & Trance) VS High Society (Dylan Drama & Joey Beauchamp) High Society returned to the NWF, against the electronic music loving duo Rave & Trance. Unfortunately for The Party Animals, Dylan Drama only partied in the VIP Section – so the Blue Blood immediately tagged Joey Beauchamp into the match. Beauchamp had no such qualms, and dropped Rave & Trance with heavy right hands. With Beauchamp clearly in control of the contest, Dylan Drama tagged himself back in and immediately pulled Trance into a Dramatic Conclusion (a wicked looking Headlock Driver) to secure a return victory for High Society. Winners: High Society (Dylan Drama & Joey Beauchamp) Rating: 32 The camera cut to another pre-recorded video, showing Bret Heartbreak sat across from a furious looking Holly Leves. Bret Heartbreak: “I just don’t understand why you’re so mad Holly…” Holly Leves (snapping): “You don’t understand why I’m mad? Your dad called me a ‘ring rat’ Bret, and you just stood there! And now you’re saying you’re not going to face him on Sunday!” Bret Heartbreak shifted uncomfortably in his chair, but didn’t respond. Holly Leves: “Well I’m sorry, but you have to fight him Bret! If you’re not going to stand up to him for disrespecting you, then you’ll have to stand up to him for disrespecting me! If you have any respect for me, you will get in that ring on Sunday and fight for my honour!” Holly Leves stormed out of the room, leaving a conflicted looking Bret Heartbreak alone. Will Bret stand by his father or his relationship this Sunday at ‘No Limits’? Rating: 48 We cut to the interview zone for the first time this evening, and there was a huge cheer as Landon Mallory was with Rachel Dearheart. Rachel Dearheart: “Landon, last week Mo Adebola confirmed that JK Lee would accept your challenge for ‘No Limits’. JK Lee has cost you both the British Heavyweight Championship and in the 20-Man Battle Royal over the past two months… do you have a message for your opponent ahead of Sunday?” Landon Mallory (smiling): “If JK Lee thinks he’s going to make a name for himself this Sunday by beating The Springbok, then he is sadly mistaken… because the only thing he will be remembered for after ‘No Limits’ is as the latest name to have fallen to the Springbok Ram! Yebo!” Rating: 83 ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn w/ Mark Moore VS ‘The Insurance Policy’ JK Lee w/ Mo Adebola This was a technical affair, as both men looked for a momentum boosting victory ahead of Sunday – with ‘The Prodigy’ heading into a British Heavyweight Championship match with Edison Silva, and as we had just heard JK Lee would be facing ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory. With only four days separating this match and ‘No Limits’, Mo Adebola had clearly sent JK Lee into this match with the instruction to cause as much damage to Darin Flynn ahead of Sunday – with ‘The Insurance Policy’ focusing his attack on the back of the number one contender. Both men showed off their impressive mat and chain wrestling skills as they looked to maneuver their opponent into position for their respective submission finishers. Darin Flynn looked to be gaining the upper hand, but a well-timed distraction from Mo Adebola at ringside swung the momentum – and JK Lee was almost immediately able lock in his Crossface submission in the middle of the ring! For most people this would have been the end of things, but Darin Flynn isn’t called ‘The Prodigy’ for nothing! Flynn had to withstand the pressure from Lee’s Crossface for nearly thirty seconds, but he was eventually able to position his hips expertly to turn the move over and lock in his own Prodigal Pressure! JK Lee fought hard against the move, but with nowhere to go eventually had to tap! Flynn immediately released the hold and felt for his back, and it was clear that Lee’s Crossface had done some damage. Winner: ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn Rating: 67 Jackie Goldstein: “Darin Flynn gets the win, but his back looks in a bad way… ‘The Prodigy’ is now in a race against time to heal up by Sunday.” Melanie Florence: “The way I see it - Darin Flynn may have won the battle tonight, but Mo Adebola may have won the war! His ‘Insurance Policy’ has paid out once again.”

An interesting match up, but I just can't see 'The Disco Stud' winning a Main Event on Supreme TV (BONUS) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? No - I think Smasher/Retro caps out at around 80, and one of USPW and TCW seems to beat that every week Comments on diary / last episode: A number of shock results! I definitely didn't see Gilmore losing - it begs the question who will be the man to take the NA title from Davids. He's almost gotten too big for the division, so a loss may hurt him more than it helps the next champ. Perhaps a multi man match may be the answer? I was also surprised to see ZWB losing. I like the idea of Mainstream Hernandez as his 'kryptonite', but again - where does he go from here?
  8. Great show to finish the year! A few surprises in the show, I wasn't expecting a title change - but I think Shooter Sean Deeley will do a great job as champion! Enjoyed the recap, 2022 was a great year for LSW. Looks like at your current trajectory you should hit Medium towards the end of 2023? Keep up the good work!
  9. Next week, on Title Bout Wrestling... Bullrope Match for the CGC Television Title: Alex DeColt vs Dan DaLay Frankie Flame & Rash Reilly vs Eddie Chandler & Johnny Maverick Wolfgang Zimmerman vs Howling Dog

  11. Predictions for LONDON CALLING, Week 2, August 2020 Grudge Match: Jonathan Faust, Aldous Blackfriar, UK Dragon & ???? [vs] Grave Digger & The Black Hats Could definitely see this going the other way, but it feels like UK Dragon is here to take the pin 21CW UK Championship Match: ‘The Russian Bear’ Viktor Beskov (c) [vs] ‘The Breeze’ Joey Beauchamp I know you like Beauchamp, but Beskov has done a good job as UK champ to date Grudge Match: Absolutely Flawless [vs] Rolling Johnny Stones & Luke Cool Rolling Johnny Stones and Luke Cool are the jobbers of the House of Hell stable, so I expect them to lose here Grudge Match: ‘The Squashasaurus’ Roly Muckletruck [vs] Beast Bantom By nefarious means Streets Of London Street Fight: Joss Thompson & Leo Price [vs] Mark Adonis & Edward Cornell Adonis has been booked strongly, and it feels like Leo Price could take the pin here - which could lead to a 1-on-1 money match between Thompson and Cornell 21CW World Championship Match: Apollo Prince (c) [vs] Clifford Wilson Wilson keeps it on the straight and narrow but comes up short, which could lead to a slow burn Heel turn BONUS QUESTIONS: 1). Who is the fourth partner in the team to take on Grave Digger & The Black Hats…? No idea... I'm not sure how long Adam Matravers was out for, but I'll go for him to return 2). Which match will be the Match of the Night…? Joss Thompson & Leo Price vs Mark Adonis & Edward Cornell 3). What will the Overall Rating of the show be (within 5, one point, spot on two points)…? 75
  12. Predictions for TORONTO TAKEOVER 2020 Rocky Golden vs The Crippler Rocky is still the figurehead, so I expect him to win here Scythe vs Steven Parker Steven Parker may be on home turf, but Scythe's losses should be few and far between Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB Zimmy moves towards a title match SWF World Tag Team Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Awesomeness (Jefferson Stardust & Huey Cannonball) Could see this going the other way, leading to The Awesomeness splitting from Randy Unleashed - but they would also make great tag champs Brandon James vs Joey Morgan I got this wrong last month, but I think James gets the win back in Canada Main Event: SWF North American Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore The hometown hero sends the fans home happy, and gets his fourth North American TItle (BONUS 1) Which match will have the highest rating? Main Event (BONUS 2) Whose entrance will get the biggest pop? It seems to be set up as Angry Gilmore's night, so I'll go for him
  13. Thank you to everybody who commented, predicted and reacted to the latest show, I really do appreciate it! Congratulations to @KyTeran for being the only predictor to correctly pick the Byron/Bret tag team loss, giving you a slender lead heading into the Go-Home show. A reminder that the top 3 predictors in this round will receive prizes after 'No Limits'. I was surprised that nobody went for Iggy Riot to win the bench press competition. I had assumed everyone would go for him as the 'obvious' choice. Everyone expected Chuck to cheat during the Deadlift competition, but nobody went for it this time when it actually happened! 14. You were correct about both the negative chemistry and it leading to a split between father and son. Byron vs Bret was always what I was heading towards, but I had to wait for the game to let me turn Bret face. Whether we will jump straight into a Byron vs Bret match at 'No Limits' remains to be seen, but it is now an option and I'm excited to get into their feud. Leo Price took on Mickey Robson as a Protege a few months ago, which sparked the idea of a stable in my mind. Gazz Vedmore is also listed in the 'Next Big Things' list on the Creative screen, so hopefully it can help elevate him up the card! Thanks @scapegoat! Part of why I rushed through the 'teaming up phase' was because of the negative chemistry @KyTeran mentioned above, but I'm also excited to get into the feud. I had originally marked Bret as one of my stars for the future, but given the problems I've had pushing him so far (mostly chemistry related) - this feud might be make or break for him as a top guy going forwards. I was deliberately ambiguous about what had happened, but needless to say Stuart Wilson was very upset! This definitely won't be the last we hear of it! Yeah, the chemistry note really killed it. I thought the match would rate really well, and this completely derailed my plans for Dastardly - as I was planning for him to jump into a feud with Barnes on the back of this match, but obviously that won't happen now.
  15. Key for Predictions: Davis Wayne Newton vs Rob Reynolds [1 Pts] 50/50 Southern Stinger (c) vs Wes Revell in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title [1 Pts] The new Most Wanted aren't the same level The Hot Taggs vs Nonstop Action [1 Pts] Nonstop Action could be a fun team Maliek Chamberlain vs Taheiji Konoe [1 Pts] I'm going to back 'The Animals' push to continue Al Coleman vs Texas Hangman [1 Pts] Could go the other way, but I've enjoyed Hangmans push The Dynamite Express (c) vs The Wild Cats for the LSW Tag Team titles [1 Pts] The Express rolls on! Kip Keenan (c) vs Shooter Sean Deeley for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts] Deeley is great, but I don't think he's ready to take the belt just yet
  16. WrestleWorld GB & NWF Present: NWF National Wrestling Episode 47 Wednesday W4 September 2021 Show Rating: 54 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling! My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence!” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie, we have a huge show in store tonight as we head to Olympia Gym for their monthly Bench Press meet. Will former Olympian Stuart Wilson defend his gym record in his favourite lift, or will Chuck Frisby have the last laugh as his clients Iggy Riot and Dwayne Dark try to take down ‘The Celtic Warrior’!” Jackie Goldstein: “And after allying themselves with Leo Price last week, the Black Country Boys are in action against the School of Wrestling. Will their new alliance inspire the Black Country Boys to a first win in the NWF, or will The Professor’s teachings lead his students to their first victory?” Melanie Florence: “We have a ‘No Limits’ qualifier in tonights Main Event, as Petey Barnes faces Damian Dastardly in what promises to be a high flying affair! But before all of that, ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie opens the show against Bali Daljit!” Bali Daljit VS ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie Bali Daljit had seen some good success in recent months in the tag team division alongside partner Welsh Dragon, but the Indian cruiserweight was outmatched here against the big Australian Muscular Heavyweight. The leader of The Network bullied his opponent here, almost taking his opponents head off at one stage with a Big Boot! Scooping Daljit onto his shoulder, ‘Big Mac’ delivered a Snake Eyes to the corner – before bouncing off the far ropes to deliver a big Spear to secure the win. Winner: ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie Rating: 60 We cut backstage to find Mo Adebola and JK Lee stood by in the interview zone with Rachel Dearheart. Mo Adebola addressed Landon Mallory, telling The Springbok that he had heard him last week. He said the South African was under the false impression that JK Lee was trying to avoid him. On the contrary, his ‘Insurance Policy’ had specifically asked the lawyer to get him a match with Mallory! So if The Springbok wants to test Adebola’s ‘Insurance Policy’… all he has to do is ask! Rating: 60 Akihiro Hisato & Naozane Goto VS Byron & Bret Heartbreak w/ Holly Leves Byron & Bret Heartbreak’s game plan in this match was clear, keep Akihiro Hisato isolated in their corner and prevent the tag to Naozane Goto. The father and son duo did a good job of this in the early stages of the match, before their poor chemistry as partners led to a miscommunication that allowed Hisato to dive for his corner and tag in the 380lb Naozane Goto. In fairness to Bret Heartbreak he didn’t back down from the former Sumo Wrestler, but Bret’s strikes made little impact on the 380 pounder – who rocked the youngster with a single right hand. Bret was immediately pushed onto the back foot, but was able to create some separation with a European Uppercut (a technique he learned from his father) and immediately crawled for the tag. Byron’s hand was outstretched and Bret was only inches away when… Byron withdrew his hand and dropped down from the apron! Bret couldn’t believe what he was seeing, as Byron stared at his son through the ropes. Bret pulled himself up using the turnbuckle and shouted down at his dad, asking what he was doing… when Naozane Goto came in like a steam train and squashed Bret with a High Velocity Reverse Avalanche! The 380lb hauled Bret to his feet, as whipped him into the far corner to deliver another. Holly Leves screamed at ringside for Byron to get back in the ring, but the veteran watched on impassively as Goto lifted Bret for a Goto Slam (Big Front Slam) which shook the ring and earned the Japanese team the victory. Winners: Akihiro Hisato & Naozane Goto Rating: 50 After the bell, a furious Holly Leves slid into the ring to check on Bret Heartbreak and slowly helped him back to his feet. Meanwhile, Byron grabbed a microphone from ringside and slowly made his way up the ring steps to address his son. Holly Leves moved behind Bret, as Byron took over to support his son. Byron seemed to consider Bret for a moment, before slapping his son and sending him slumping back to the mat! Holly Leves could be seen with her hand over her mouth in the background. Byron (angrily): “Look at you Bret! What happened to you?” Down on the mat, Bret looked more shell-shocked at being slapped than injured as he spluttered: “We were a team… where did you go?” Byron (annoyed): “It’s always an excuse with you! Tonight… the Battle Royal… do you think I relied on my old man to win matches on my way to becoming a ten-time World Champion?” Bret Heartbreak: “But grandpa was a school teacher…” Byron: “There it is again… that attitude! That’s been your problem ever since you started hanging out with this ring rat!” Byron pointed at Holly Leves, who looked furious. Bret was back up to his knees and shook his head, telling Byron it wasn’t Holly… Byron: “If it’s not her, then what is it Bret? You were meant to be a World Champion… but you’ve got lazy…” Bret told his father he was still the same wrestler, but Byron shook his head. Byron: “If you’re still a Heartbreak, then prove it! If you want to earn my respect back, then you’ll have to face me in the ring at ‘No Limits’!” Byron threw the microphone to the ground, leaving a furious Holly Leves and a confused Bret Heartbreak in his wake. Would Bret accept the challenge and face his father at ‘No Limits’? Rating: 54 The Party Animals (Rave & Trance) VS State of Mind (Brilliant White & Ultra Violence) State of Mind made their spectacular entrance, appearing in a flash of (brilliant) white light. The white light reflected off the Phantom of the Opera inspired mask of Brilliant White, while Ultra Violence posed with his trusty cane slung over his right shoulder. Their opponents Rave & Trance also seemed right at home, with the strobe lighting presumably reminding them of the Liverpool underground club scene. Unfortunately for Rave & Trance, their dancing during State of Mind’s entrance was the high point of their night. Brilliant White was able to distract referee Roy Worrall long enough for Ultra Violence to get his trusty cane involved, before Brilliant White headed to the top rope for his White Out (Swanton Bomb) finisher. Winners: State of Mind (Brilliant White & Ultra Violence) Rating: 46 We cut to Olympia Strength & Conditioning Gym for the business end of the monthly Bench Press competition. The weight was at 190kg, and the only three men left in the competition were Dwayne Dark, Iggy Riot and Stuart Wilson. Hitting this lift would tie Stuart Wilson’s current Gym record, and Dwayne Dark was up first. Dark settled himself under the bar, as half of the gym gathered around the bench to offer a spot for the monstrous weight. Dark took a deep breath and, with a huge effort, lifted the bar back off his chest to complete the lift! Dark let out a roar as he celebrated equaling the gym record and progressing to the next round. Next up was Iggy Riot, with Chuck Frisby in his face pumping the Irishman up. In the background Stuart Wilson could be seen talking to an impassive Dwayne Dark, asking why Frisby didn’t do any of this for him. Iggy Riot powered the bar off his chest with ease to progress to the next round, before Chuck Frisby immediately ran for his water bottle and spray. Stuart Wilson understatedly completed the lift at 190kg, while Frisby made a fuss out of spraying Iggy Riot’s chest, arms and back to cool him down ahead of the next round. All three competitors made it through 195kg (a new gym record) – some more easily than others, before the bar was loaded at 200kg! The bar bent under the extreme weight, as Dwayne Dark settled himself underneath. Dark lowered the bar, but it got stuck halfway up – and the crowd of spotters immediately jumped into life to help the former boxer re-rack the bar. Dark looked furious at being out of the competition, a mood that wasn’t helped by the theatrics of Iggy Riot & Frisby – as the personal trainer yelled in his clients face to pump him up. Iggy Riot had a little wobble, but hit the lift – as did Stuart Wilson, meaning both men progressed to 205kg! With Dwayne Dark out of the competition, Iggy Riot was up first. With Chuck Frisby stood over him yelling encouragement, Riot’s arms shook uncontrollably as he tried to drive the immense weight off his chest. The spotters looked like they were about to jump into action until Frisby yelled at them to stay back! After what felt like an eternity, Riot was able to finally get the weight up and re-rack to complete the lift! Frisby immediately grabbed the spray bottle, but looked worried as he began to spray down his clients muscles. Stuart Wilson looked confident as he stepped up to the bar. He lowered it down, and the bar looked to be moving up steadily… until it wasn’t! Wilson went from looking like he would hit the lift with ease, to dropping the bar almost instantly. The army of spotters dove in to pull the bar from the Scotsman’s chest, but Wilson was out of the contest and Iggy Riot was declared the winner! Wilson immediately got in Chuck Frisby’s face, and seemed to be accusing the personal trainer of something. We never got to hear what was said, as Iggy Riot stepped between the pair and Stuart Wilson stormed off. Iggy Riot was declared the winner, and Chuck Frisby proclaimed loudly that his client had defeated Stuart Wilson – a former Olympian, after being on Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness’ training plan for only six weeks! Imagine what it could do for you – for only the low, low price of £9.99 per month! Rating: 43 Black Country Boys (Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson) VS School of Wrestling (Toxic & Ron Gibson) w/ The Professor This match represented a huge opportunity for two young teams, as both teams looked to register their first win in the NWF. The Professor prepared his students as best as he could with a pre-match lecture, but it was the Black Country Boys who impressed after securing an alliance with Leo Price last week. Vedmore & Robson once again showed off the high impact style that troubled the British Tag Team champions a couple of weeks ago, before Mickey Robson hit his devastating Package Piledriver to secure a first victory. Winners: Black Country Boys (Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson) Rating: 30 The camera cut backstage to show Leo Price alongside his protégé Dangermouth, as both men had just finished watching the previous match. Leo Price looked happy with the performances of the Black Country Boys. Leo Price (to Dangermouth): “I told you those two had something about them. If we’re going to go after The Network, they will be good men to have by our side…” Dangermouth (grinning): “It’s time The Network was taken down… for good!” Rating: 62 We cut backstage to find Darin Flynn and Mark Moore in the interview zone with Rachel Dearheart. Fresh from his victory in last weeks Main Event, Mark Moore states that his client is looking for another match next week to keep his skills sharp! The sports agent was interrupted as British Heavyweight Champion Edison Silva and his legal advisor Mo Adebola walked into shot. For the first time since Darin Flynn had won the Battle Royal at ‘Battle of Britain, the number one contender and the British Heavyweight champion were face to face! Mo Adebola told Moore that if Flynn was looking for a match next week, he could face his ‘Insurance Policy’ JK Lee - as a warm up for Landon Mallory! Moore accepted, telling Adebola that ‘The Prodigy’ would make short work of his ‘Insurance Policy’. Rating: 50 Petey Barnes VS ‘The Diabolic’ Damian Dastardly ‘No Rules’ Qualification Match Tonight’s Main Event served as a qualification match for the upcoming Cruiserweight Title match at ‘No Limits’. While on paper this should have been a great match, unfortunately Barnes and Dastardly had awful chemistry. There were a number of botches and mistimed spots that really took the crowd out of the match. For the finish, Damian Dastardly was looking to get a steel chair involved in the match – however the Kiwi noticed that referee Roy Worrall was coming round, so rather than hitting his opponent with the chair he instead threw the chair at Barnes and collapsed to the mat. A confused Barnes caught the chair just in time for Roy Worrall to recover consciousness, and see Barnes holding the chair standing above a ‘knocked out’ Damian Dastardly. Barnes immediately dropped the chair and protested his innocence, but it was to no avail as Roy Worrall threw out the match and declared Dastardly the winner by disqualification! Winner: Damian Dastardly by DQ Rating: 51 Jackie Goldstein: “I have never seen anything like that before… Damian Dastardly has stolen one here!” Melanie Florence: “That was genius! I would expect nothing less from the diabolical mind of Damian Dastardly!” Jackie Goldstein: “I’m not sure genius is the word I would use… but does that mean Dastardly has qualified for the match at ‘No Limits’?” Melanie Florence: “He must do… he won the match! Look at Petey Barnes – no class. He’s still arguing with the referee!” Jackie Goldstein: “I’d be annoyed too if I’d been screwed out of a match like that…”

  19. The Foundation are riding a good wave of momentum atm, they're #1 contenders and Martin Heath has just got the 'Hot New Move' attribute. I'm expecting a good grade out of their match with The Northern Lights! Not the way I am going this time, but a Grace of Fire vs State of Mind feud could be fun! Might be one to look at down the line... Thank you to everyone who predicted and reacted to the latest episode, I really do appreciate it! Another great turnout for predictions, with the top 3 after 'No Limits' receiving a prize. 20. Major Changes on the Coastal Zone The Coastal Zone has expansion in mind! On Monday it was announced that CZCW, for so long the Indy darling of the US scene, had grown to Medium size – becoming the first promotion outside of the traditional ‘Big 3’ to achieve this feat in the USA. The Californian company have been preparing for this moment over the past few months, with the transition of their product to a ‘Guerilla Warfare’ style – which they hope will preserve their fast paced in ring style, while allowing their wrestlers do develop their characters more to appeal to a wider, national audience. Whether ‘the Zone’ can survive the transition to a national player remains to be seen, but having been written off for almost the entirety of their 30 year existence, I wouldn’t bet against them! It remains to be seen what this means for the future of the COTT, with the board said to be meeting next week to discuss CZCW’s rise. Latest Viberts Voice episode sets new Wrestling Podcast download record! A special episode of Vibert’s Voice – the #1 Wrestling Podcast in the world – broke download records earlier this week, as the host Phil Vibert announced his return to wrestling, as he had signed for CZCW! It is unclear what Vibert’s role in the Californian company will be, but the IWC is buzzing with the news of his return from hiatus. The host was joined by surprise guests Coastal Zone Champion Pablo Rodriguez and new signings Fro Sure and former 3-time USPW Womens Champion Tiffany Jade! The four did a great job of promoting CZCW and what made the promotion unique – fast paced in ring action and treating men and women as equals in the ring. Observers noted that the signings of Fro Sure and Tiffany Jade represented exactly what the ‘new CZCW’ would be all about – big characters who could still go in the ring. Tiffany Jade in particular stole headlines as she put Pablo Rodriguez on notice, saying she had come to ‘the Zone’ for one reason – to become the first Women to hold a main title in a major US promotion!
  21. Next week, it's more Title Bout Wrestling... CGC World Title: Barry Bowen vs Steve DeColt Could see Bowen taking the win, but this IS DeColt country Land Mass & Mammoth vs Jake Sloan & Moose Mulder Feels like Helen will have her fun for a few weeks, then the babyfaces will find a way to get the Bubbleweight title off her Nelson Blais vs Condor You've mentioned being surprised at how over Condor was, so it might be time for a push? Great show! Loved the Frenchie's Five with the magical artifacts. I also like the new School of Tradition, and I'm interested to see where the Dan DaLay/Tyler relationship is going.

  23. WrestleWorld GB & NWF Present: NWF National Wrestling Episode 46 Wednesday W3 September 2021 Show Rating: 68 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling! Thank you for joining us on this Wednesday evening – my name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence. Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! We have a huge show in store tonight. ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn looks to build some momentum heading into his British Heavyweight Championship match, as he faces Padraig O’Hearne in tonights Main Event!” Jackie Goldstein: “And we’re promised a big announcement from Cruiserweight champion Leighton Buzzard, who will be in action later tonight as The British Bangers face School of Wrestling.” Melanie Florence: “But we kick off tonights show with the number one contenders for the British Tag Team titles – as The Foundation face The Assassins Guild.” The Foundation (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) w/ Mark Moore VS The Assassins Guilds (Stefan Raynor & Louie Peyton) Frank Finkleton’s hired guns were back, as the network executive looked to hand the new number one contenders a loss prior to their title match with The Northern Lights. The Assassins Guild are a long established team, having teamed together since 2006 – and the pair were able to successfully isolate Martin Heath in their corner as both teams Worked The Crowd. The Assassins Guild looked to press home their advantage as Louie Peyton whipped Martin Heath into the corner, but Heath continued with the momentum to climb the turnbuckle and deliver his Hot New Move – Rocking The Foundations (Whisper In The Wind). This riled up the crowd, who erupted as Heath dove across the ring to make the hot tag! Peyton was also able to make the tag to Stefan Raynor, but Jon Michael Sharp hit the ring like a house on fire! Clothesline to Raynor… Dropkick to Peyton… another Dropkick to Raynor. Sharp grabbed Peyton and threw him over the top rope, before returning to deliver the Disarmer to Stefan Raynor and secure a momentum boosting win for the number one contenders. Winners: The Foundation (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) Rating: 57 We cut backstage to find the Black Country Boys, who had just finished watching the opening contest. Presumably brushing up on their competition in the thriving NWF tag team division. There was a knock at the door, and Leo Price entered along with his protégé Dangermouth. Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson looked a little star struck at the sight of the former four-time 21st Century Tag Team Champion. Leo Price: “I saw your match last weeks. You boys stood toe to toe with The Northern Lights and gave them a real fright. You’ve got potential… you just need someone to help you along. How would you like to join up with myself and Dangermouth here?” The Black Country Boys looked like they couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Gazz Vedmore: “Are you kidding? Of course we would! You’re a tag team legend!” Leo Price (chuckling): “I don’t know about that, but welcome aboard boys. Put that tele back on, we can watch Dangermouth’s match from here…” Jackie Goldstein highlighted Leo Price’s tag team history on commentary, before hyping the new alliance. Rating: 47 Dangermouth VS Lenny Mochin This match really showcased how far Dangermouth had come as Leo Price’s protégé. Lenny Mochin is a master technician, and dominated the early stages of this match up. However Dangermouth was patient and eventually got his chance, as the grime star exploded into life. Dangermouth delivered Flying Shoulder Tackle after Flying Shoulder Tackle, before dropping Mochin with a Running Bulldog. Mochin struggled back to his feet, but Dangermouth immediately pulled him in for his Flatline (Reverse STO) to secure an impressive victory! Jackie Goldstein hyped the grime stars development under Leo Price’s mentorship, and commented that if the Black Country Boys followed Price’s teachings they could go far! Rating: 51 We cut backstage to find Bret Heartbreak talking to his girlfriend Holly Leves. Bret Heartbreak: “He said it was just business… and he’s right it wasn’t a tag match, so we were kind of opponents I guess.” Holly Leves (exasperated): “Look Bret, I know he’s you dad but he’s using you… you can see that right? You can’t trust him.” Bret Heartbreak: “Look Holly, I don’t think dad would…” Voice from off-screen: “You don’t think dad would what?” Byron walked into shot with a big grin on his face. Holly cautiously retreated behind Bret Heartbreak. Byron: “Never mind that, I’ve got good news Bret! I’ve sorted us a match for next week, and it’s a tag team match. Father and son, teaming together once again!” Bret gave Holly a nervous look, before forcing a smile and replying: “Sounds great dad!” Byron grinned and slapped his son on the back, before turning to walk away when Bret called him back. Bret told his dad that he hated that the two most important people in his life didn’t get on, and that if Byron & Holly spent some time together they could sort things out pretty quickly. Neither Byron nor Holly could hide the surprise on their faces, before both agreed to give it a try… “For Bret”. Rating: 51 The roof of the building nearly exploded as the The Springbok’s music blared over the speakers. A Groundswell of Support amongst the NWF fanbase over the past few months has seen the South African propelled up the card to become a Major Star in the company. Landon Mallory: “The past couple of months haven’t exactly gone the way I had hoped. First I lost my British Heavyweight Championship at Victory, and then two weeks ago I was the penultimate elimination in the 20-man Battle Royal at Battle of Britain… and both times it was down to one man putting his nose where it didn’t belong.” The crowd booed, knowing EXACTLY who Landon Mallory was referring to – JK Lee. Landon Mallory: “I don’t know what Mo Adebola has promised you for keeping me away from Silva, but I promise you it won’t be worth it when I get my hands on you. I hope you’ve got a good ‘Insurance Policy’ JK Lee, because nobody can withstand the Springbok Ram. Yebo!” Rating: 85 The British Bangers (Leighton Buzzard & Grant Taypen) VS School of Wrestling (Toxic & Ron Gibson) w/ The Professor Whatever The Professor told his students in their usual pre-match lecture went straight out of the window at the opening bell, as the only lesson The British Bangers were teaching their young opponents was in the art of putting on a Banger! School of Wrestling battled hard, but they struggled to make much of an impact against their more experienced opponents. Buzzard & Taypen finished the match with their Bang! Bang! Dropkicks (Dual Flying Missile Dropkicks). Winners: The British Bangers (Leighton Buzzard & Grant Taypen) Rating: 47 After the match, an excited Leighton Buzzard grabbed his title and a microphone from ringside to address the crowd. Surprisingly, network executive Frank Finkleton made his way down to the ring to join the Cruiserweight champion to announce a brand new match type for the NWF… Frank Finkleton: “In three weeks time at ‘No Limits’, the Cruiserweight Title will be suspended over four metres above this ring as four men compete to be the first to retrieve the title and win the match…” Leighton Buzzard (Excitedly): “But get this… no Ladders!” Frank Finkleton (annoyed): “As Leighton correctly points out – unlike in other retrieval matches, this match will have no ladders. Instead the title will be suspended between two cables running diagonally across the ring. The competitors will have to climb the scaffolding, cross the ropes and be the first to retrieve the title to win the match. This new structure should play right into the events theme of ‘No Limits’…” Leighton Buzzard (sagely): “No Limits and No Ladders!” Frank Finkleton (sighing): “We will be holding qualification matches over the next three weeks to determine which three men will face Leighton Buzzard for the title. The first of which, is right now!” Leighton Buzzard: “Whoever qualifies, at ‘No Limits’ it will be a guaranteed Banger!” Rating: 49 Welsh Dragon VS Ultra Violence The first two men with a chance to qualify were former Cruiserweight Champion Welsh Dragon, and State of Mind member Ultra Violence. Would the new match type suit Welsh Dragon’s lucha-libre inspired style, or would Ultra Violence’s deathmatch tendencies flourish on this new stage? Ultra Violence tried to turn this match into a brawl from the bell, but quickly ran into problems with the power of his gym-rat opponent. Welsh Dragon quickly took control with his lucha-inspred moveset, hitting Ultra Violence with Arm Drags, Drop Toe Holds, Hurricanranas, and more Arm Drags! Ultra Violence looked in real trouble, until a ref bump just after the nine minute mark allowed him to get his trusty cane involved in the match. Ultra Violence looked much more comfortable with cane in hand, but Welsh Dragon showed off his martial arts background as a lightning-quick kick knocked the cane from Ultra Violence’s hands before he saw it coming. A second kick followed, before Welsh Dragon headed to the top rope for his Dragon Kick (Spinning Thrust Kick from the top rope) to secure his spot in the upcoming Cruiserweight Title match. Winner: Welsh Dragon Rating: 49 We cut to a pre-recorded video from the Olympia Strength & Conditioning gym, where we found Chuck Frisby and Iggy Riot admiring the newly updated whiteboard on the gym wall. Chuck Frisby commented that it was good to see another name up there before announcing that Stuart Wilson had chosen the lift they would be entering next week – the Bench Press! Iggy Riot grinned, clearly happy with Stuart Wilson’s choice. A fellow gym member warned Chuck that the Bench Press was Wilson’s favourite lift– but the personal trainer simply smiled and replied that thanks to the progressive overload built into every Frisby Foundation for Fitness training plan (available for the low, low price of £9.99 a month), they could beat him! Rating: 51 ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn w/ Mark Moore VS Padraig O’Hearne Darin Flynn had been very vocal about his desire to wrestle regularly heading into Battle of Britain, and it would appear ‘The Prodigy’ was taking the same approach heading into his British Heavyweight Title match at ‘No Limits’ – as we are informed that Mark Moore had arranged this match at the request of his client. Padraig O’Hearne had been on an uptick over the past couple of months, with the Irishman victorious in four of his past five matches – with the other being an impressive performance in the 20-man Battle Royal at Battle of Britain. In those victories O’Hearne had shown an almost supernatural ability to dodge, duck and weave any incoming offence, but that ability seemed to evade the Irishman here as he walked into an early right hand from ‘The Prodigy’. O’Hearne was able to shake off this early mistake and put in a competitive performance, but it seemed as soon as he built any momentum another mistake would derail it – he would duck when he should weave, or weave instead of dodge. ‘The Prodigy’ didn’t need a second invitation and seized on his opponents error to lock in his Prodigal Pressure and secure the victory. Winner: ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn Rating: 66 Jackie Goldstein: “An impressive victory for Darin Flynn as he moves towards ‘No Limits’ and his match with Edison Silva.” Melanie Florence: “Padraig O’Hearne looked off the pace tonight after being so impressive over the past few months…” Jackie Goldstein: “Perhaps he should have taken up the offer to train with The Force last week…”
