  1. USPW American Wrestling Wednesday Week 3 February 2020 Preview 'Mama Bear' Juliette King vs. Sara Marie Comments: Sara Marie is the much bigger name 'The Marksman' Kirk Jameson (w/Maryam Vega) vs. Regular Joe Comments: I like Joe, but he just feels like a jobber in USPW The Olympus Order vs. 'RDJ' Ricky Dale Johnson and The Texas Express Comments: RDJ feels like a big signing, so expect him to win his first match USPW National Title Match 'Jacksonville' Jack Jackson defends vs. Enygma Comments: Interesting to see Enygma challenging for the National title. Makes me think he might have given you the heads up about retirement and will be spending the next three months putting over the youngsters Mick Muscles vs. Jimmy Chipolata Comments: It's too early in Jimmy's career to be beating established names like Mick Muscles Number One Contender's Match 'The Dark Destroyer' Steve Frehley vs. Running Wolf Comments: If Nicky Champion's injury is legit, then you need a new threat for Rich Money - and Running Wolf seems like the natural guy to step up in storyline Comments On Diary/Other Comments: Losing Nicky Champion is a huge blow, how long will he be out for? Surprised to see Skull DeBones show up, will be interesting to see if he interacts with Jack Bruce down the line given they must have a long history in the SWF - or if that's something you'd specifcally avoid
  2. WrestleWorld GB & NWF present: National Wrestling Episode #33 Wednesday W2 June 2021 Show Rating: 62 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling. My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! The building is buzzing tonight, as we kick off the Cruiserweight World Cup!” Jackie Goldstein: “Representatives from England, Wales, Scotland, Spain, Japan, India, Mexico and New Zealand compete to win the honour of Cruiserweight World Champion for their Nation!” Melanie Florence: “And our opening match of the night is to crown the representative for the proud nation of Wales! And joining us on commentary is the man who will face the winner of this match next week on National Wrestling – Spain’s representative Victor Jimenez!” Welsh Dragon VS Aurelian Bradley VS Neville Jones VS Red Dragon Victor Jimenez was very vocal on commentary, explaining exactly how he would beat each of the Welsh competitors in their Quarter Final match next week. The Spaniard seemed to take particular exception to Welsh Dragon, claiming the appropriation of his mask and much of his moveset from the world of lucha libre was deeply offensive. Jackie Goldstein asked Jimenez about Spain’s history with lucha libre, to which Jimenez replied his mother was born in Mexico – before going on a long rant in Spanish. Back in the ring, Aurelian Bradley had started the match strongly – using his size advantage to overpower his three Lightweight opponents. Bradley looked good throughout the early stages of the match, before the youngsters overconfidence cost him as he charged at Neville Jones – who was leaning against the ropes, only for ‘The Swansea Kid’ to drop the top rope and send Bradley sprawling to the outside. Not wasting a moment, Jones headed to the top rope and followed up an incredible Swansea Swanton to the outside! With both youngsters down on the outside, it was left to Red Dragon and Welsh Dragon to battle it out. After a brief back and forth, it was Welsh Dragon who took control with his lucha inspired moveset. On commentary, Victor Jimenez winced at every Arm Drag, dismissed every Drop Toe Hold, was outraged by every Hurricanrana, before commenting on the repetitiveness of even more Arm Drags! Despite Jimenez’s protestations, Welsh Dragon headed to the top rope and hit his Dragon Kick (Spinning Thrust Kick from the top rope) to secure his spot as the Welsh representative at the Cruiserweight World Cup. After the match there was a nice moment, as all three of his opponents showed respect towards Red Dragon – as they shook hands with and raised the arm of the former 21CW World Champion. Winner: Welsh Dragon Rating: 41 The camera cut to the office of Frank Finkleton. The network executive was sat on one side of his desk alongside an NWF lawyer, with Mo Adebola and Edison Silva sat on the other. The contract that Mo Adebola had negotiated for his clients match at ‘For Queen & Country’ was laid out on the table between them, while Leighton Buzzard could be seen buzzing around the office in the background. Frank Finkleton had his head in his hands as Mo Adebola and Leighton Buzzard talked over each other. Mo Adebola: “It’s digusting Frank… the sheer lack of respect… why should Edison be forced to represent these people… he has just as much Brazilian heritage as he does English.” Leighton Buzzard: “I’m ready to jump back in Mr Finkleton… Did you see me in the tournament? Banger after Banger after Banger… Plus they cheated on Sunday anyway… You’ve got to put me back in Mr Finkleton!” A vein on Frank Finkleton’s head was throbbing, and the network executive finally snapped. Frank Finkleton: “Will you both SHUT UP!” The room instantly fell silent, as both Leighton Buzzard and Mo Adebola stared intently at Frank Finkleton. Frank Finkleton (calmly): “Leighton, this contract clearly states that the winner of your match this Sunday would be the one to represent England in the Cruiserweight World Cup…” Leighton Buzzard: “But Mr Finkleton he…” Frank Finkleton: “No but’s. You may not like the way Mr Silva won on Sunday but he did win, which means he gets the spot. You’re out, go and annoy somebody else.” Leighton Buzzard scowled and left the office. Frank Finkleton turned to address Mo Adebola and Edison Silva. Frank Finkleton: “And Mo, I can’t believe I’m having to explain this to you – but the contract was specifically for the opportunity to represent England in the World Cup. It’s mentioned multiple times throughout the document – so no matter how upset your client is, he can either choose to represent England or he too can leave. I wouldn’t take too long to decide though, as his Quarter Final match is later tonight…” Mo Adebola grabbed the contract and began furiously reading through the terms. Looking thoroughly annoyed, he threw the document back on the table before forcing a smile. Mo Adebola: “England it is then… “ Rating: 49 Future X (Petey Barnes & Eric Future) VS State Of Mind (Brilliant White & Ultra Violence) We were reminded on commentary that Future X lost their British Tag Team Titles at ‘Three Lions’ back in May in a triple threat match without getting pinned. Jackie Goldstein informed us that Future X had enforced their rematch clause at the ‘Cruiserweight World Cup’ event and would challenge The Northern Lights for the titles. The early part of this back and forth contest comprised of Brilliant White, Eric Future and Petey Barnes flying around the ring at breakneck speed. As seems to be the case with all State of Mind matches, the match broke down into chaos in the middle section – as Brilliant White took both himself and Eric Future out of the match with an incredible Diving Elbow through a table on the outside. Referee Roy Worrall slid out of the ring to check on both men, allowing Ultra Violence the opportunity to get his cane involved in the match. Unfortunately for the hardcore wrestler, Petey Barnes had him scouted and was able to duck under the cane shot – before snapping back with an X-Press Superkick! Barnes was able to get Roy Worrall’s attention, and the referee slid back into the ring to make the three count. Winners: Future X Rating: 57 The crowd cheered as we cut backstage to find Nate Manchester, for his first appearance on National Wrestling since February. The Geordie was talking to his friend and former tag team partner, Leo “The Lion” Price. Nate Manchester: “Alreet lad, ah tell ya it’s greet to be back!” Leo Price: “It’s great to have you back Nate, I tell you things haven’t been the same around here without you.” Nate Manchester: “Aye, sounds like The Network have been having a right belta since I left…” Leo Price: “They’ve taken over the place. I know you’re going to want to go after Nathan McKenzie, but you need to be sensible Nate. We need you around here…” Nate Manchester: “I canny do it man. Big Mac may have busted mah knee, but remember I still won that match… ” Leo Price: “Maybe on paper, but you’ve been gone for three months and The Network have used that time to take over the place… just think about it Nate.” Nate and Leo Price shook hands, before the former NWF Commissioner left shot – leaving Nate Manchester looking deep in thought. Rating: 51 Local Worker VS ??? The camera cut to an unnamed worker already waiting in the ring, before the lights cut out and eerie music played over the speakers. When the lights came back on, the menacing figure who had cost Jase Cole in his Cruiserweight title match this past Sunday had appeared in the ring. Blood smeared across his face, the 290lb Light Heavyweight towered over his unfortunate opponent and delivered a dominant performance. Clearly trained in hand to hand fighting, the man battered his opponent with heavy punches before delivering the Full Nelson Slam we had also seen at ‘For Queen & Country’ to end the contest. The bell rang to signify the end of the contest, but referee Roy Worrall looked like he didn’t want to go near the man to raise his arm. With a look of sheer anger spread over his blood-stained face, the man hauled his poor opponent back to his feet and delivered a second Full Nelson Slam. This drew out The Force, as Jase Cole and Christopher Lister sprinted down to the ring drawing their laser swords. The figure stared the pair down for a moment, before the lights cut out once again. The laser swords glowed in the darkness for a moment, before the lights came back up to reveal The Force now all alone in the ring. Winner: ??? Rating: 40 We cut away from the troubled faces of Jase Cole and Christopher Lister, to find High Society stood alongside Rachel Dearheart in the interview zone. Dylan Drama was wearing medical facemask, something Byron was very quick to bring to our attention. Byron: “I have been warning everyone for weeks about the laziness, the entitlement, the poor work ethic and the downright sloppiness of the so called Generation-Z, and on Sunday Evan Alpass showed the world that I was absolutely right! Dylan here sustained a Fractured Cheek Bone, and now has to wear this face mask during the very peak of the social season!” Dylan Drama: “The importance of the social season may be lost on a commoner such as Evan Alpass, but to people of my standing it is the very pinnacle of our year!” Byron: “And thanks to Dylan’s father we have secured invites to the most exclusive social event of the season! Darius Moss talks about his ‘celebrity’ status, but once we secure our spot in the social elite on this country he will pale in comparison to the High Society!” Rating: 55 Bali Daljit VS Davey Celtic Cruiserweight World Cup Quarter Final Next up was the first match of the Cruiserweight Quarter Final, which saw India take on Scotland. India would be represented by NWF’s own Bali Daljit, whereas Scotland would be represented by Davey Celtic – an angry, drunken walking Scottish stereotype who worked for Scottish hardcore promotion the SNP. This was a largely by the numbers match up, with the main talking point being Dave Celtic’s tendency to randomly start dancing in the middle of the ring after delivering a move. Unfortunately this proved to be the Scotsman’s downfall, and Bali Daljit was able to head to the top rope and deliver his spectacular Shoot Star Press – a move that he delivers with rare grace, to secure the victory for India. Winner: Bali Daljit Rating: 41 Next we cut to a training montage, showing Stuart Wilson in his new gym – Olympia. The opening shot showed a Whiteboard with the title ‘Gym Records’. Underneath was a list of lifts, currently with no record next to them. Throughout the video, Wilson was shown lifting incredibly heavy weights and setting new Gym Records for each of the lifts – Deadlift, Back Squat, Overhead Press, Bench Press, Power Clean. While setting all of these records, a voiceover played over the footage. Stuart Wilson: “Ah’m strong, strong as I’ve ever been. But training to be strong isn’t enough. Becoming an Olympic athlete, becoming the best of the best – it’s all in yer mind. You’ve got to know what you want, and get specific – and ah mean real specific with you’re training. Ah know exactly what ah want, the British Heavyweight Championship – and ah know exactly what ah need to get it! And that training starts next week!” The final shot of the montage cut back to the whiteboard, which now showed Stuart Wilson’s name next to all of the lifts with absurdly heavy weights recorded next to his name for each one. Rating: 73 We cut to the interview zone, where Rachel Dearheart had British Heavyweight Champion Landon Mallory. Rachel Dearheart: “Stuart Wilson has made it clear he has his eyes on your British Heavyweight Championship, and looks like he is in incredible shape. Are you worried about the former Olympian?” Landon Mallory: “I’ve said it before Rachel, but The Springbok isn’t scared of anybody! I said when I took this belt I would be a fighting champion and take on all comers, and I meant it. Stuart Wilson may be strong, but I’ve never met anyone strong enough to withstand a Springbok Ram! Yebo! So let Stuart Wilson get as specific as he wants, because you cannot prepare for a ride with The Springbok!” Rating: 76 Akihiro Hisato VS Edison Silva w/ Mo Adebola Cruiserweight World Cup Quarter Final While a new name to British wrestling fans, fans of Japanese wrestling would be very aware of Akihiro Hisato’s heritage. A second-generation wrestler, Hisato’s father - The Great Hisato, was a former BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Champion and 4-time WLW Universal Champion, and was considered one of the great Junior Heavyweight workers of the late 90’s/early 2000’s. At 19 years old Akihiro Hisato is in the early stages of his career, but has inherited both his fathers mask and graceful in-ring style. The speed and fluidity of the Japanese competitors movements caused problems for Edison Silva throughout this match up, as the former British Heavyweight Champion struggled to lay a hand (or knee) on Hisato. Hisato’s graceful style makes him great to watch in full flow, and Silva had no answer for the speed and precision of his opponent. Hisato looked to cap off an impressive debut as he hoisted Silva up for his Falcon Suplex (Falcon Arrow), but with Silva’s World Cup looking over the former British Heavyweight Champion sunk to a new low as he desperately grabbed at his opponents mask and tried to yank it off. Hisato instinctively dropped his opponent to keep his mask on, and the moment it took for Hisato to reset his mask proved just enough time for Silva to gather his composure and deliver a Knee Strike KO to steal the victory from nowhere! Winner: Edison Silva Rating: 57 Jackie Goldstein: “Edison Silva steals the win, but trying to remove Akihiro Hisato’s mask – that’s a new low for the former British Heavyweight Champion!” Melanie Florence: “Listen to the fans Jackie. England have just qualified for the semi-finals of a World Cup, and there are boos ringing around this arena… and Silva does not look happy about it!” Jackie Goldstein: “Well what did he expect? Be sure to join us next week for the remaining Cruiserweight World Cup Quarter Finals, and we find out exactly what an Olympian’s training regime looks like! See you then.”
  3. Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 8 Joey Morgan & The Dallas Cowboys (Mashall Dillon & Ranger) vs Unleashed Awesomeness (Randy Unleashed, Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball) They are Awesome... Robbie Retro vs Scythe Scythe isn't losing to Disco man The Domination (Avalanche & Chill) vs The Pain Alliance (Big Smack Scott & Kurt Laramee) The Pain Alliance lost to The Rock City Stars last week, so I'm assuming you see them as the jobbers of the tag division Sammy Smoke vs Valiant Valiant's one of your top guys, Sammy isn't Main Event: Brandon James & The Crippler vs Rocky Golden & Angry Gilmore I feel like Brandon needs at least one win over Rocky Golden to be a credible threat, so after losing last week he gets a win back here. (BONUS 1) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? Yes - The Main Event should deliver (BONUS 2) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this month? No - I think the gap to TCW is just too big
  4. Thank you to everyone who voted for my NWF diary! Thoroughly undeserved against Self's excellent CGC diary, but I really appreciate it!
  5. I can definitely see your point, there are a number of guys in the midcard who would benefit from a new title - although I would argue that limitations can spark creativity. The Bret Heartbreak weight loss storyline doesn't make sense with a normal secondary title available for him to chase. So there are pros and cons either way. I'm still hoping I can turn you around on The Force! We saw the debut of their initial adversary in For Queen & Country, so the storyline can kick into full force now! Thanks @KyTeran! Hope you enjoyed the show, and the Cruiserweight World Cup lives up to expectations! Thank you to everyone who commented, predicted and reacted to the last show! For Queen & Country was our highest rated show yet, with Mallory vs Big Mac outperforming all expectations I had for that match - and securing Mallory's spot as 'The Man' in the NWF. We had a bumper round of predictions for the show, welcome to StanMiguel for your first set of predictions - hope to see you back! Congratulations to KyTeran for overturning a 2 point deficit to pip John Lions at the post! A very tight finish, with only 1 point separating the top 4! Also congratulations to newbiezness for getting the show rating spot on! @KyTeran - keep an eye on your DM's for details of your prize! The next episode of National Wrestling will be the start of the next round of predictions. Hope to see everyone there! 6. Thank you for the feedback @newbiezness! Non-western wrestling is a blind spot for me, whether C-Verse or real world, so thank you for the information! In future I'll have to dig a bit deeper than google translate for information on foreign workers 😅 I've committed myself to Victor being Spanish now, so I think a kayfabe Mexican mother could link him back to the world of lucha libre. My initial plans were just to use him during the Cruiserweight World Cup, but with his Entertainment skills he could well make his way back at some point - so definitely worthwhile to straighten out his backstory!
  7. Thanks @John Lions! I saw this Main Event as a test for Nathan McKenzie - one that he passed with flying colours! He obviously has the stats to score well in game, but I wasn't sure if his pop would hold him back. He's still got a little way to go (he's only 'recognisable' to fans), but he's definitely a guy I can see with the top belt. The score was helped by a positive chemistry note, but I'm still really happy with how the match scored. Leighton's shown he can go with the top guys - he got a 62 rated match with Landon Mallory and now a 65 with Edison Silva - and his pop shot up 6 points over May/June with the tournament win and Silva loss. I don't want to give too much away, but I've said before that some of your ideas are better than mine 😅 I was going to post who Victor Jimenez was ahead of his Cruiserweight World Cup match, but I'll do it now instead! He's a generated worker who is based in Iberia. As you can see in the screenshot below, he has insane entertainment stats but hasn't actually learned how to wrestle yet. (I took the below screenshot when I first signed him, I've since changed the picture and gimmick) I signed him to a short deal for the CWC to see how he did. With those entertainment stats, I could end up using him as a manager for someone down the line. On the lucha libre thing - I think this is me being ignorant, so I apologise for that. The term for professional wrestling in Spain seems to be Lucha libre profesional, and I've seen that and assumed they shared a similar wrestling culture to Mexico. If that's not right, let's just say that Victor is a huge Lucha Libre mark (the Mexican one) and that's why he defended it. I think I've made the mistake again in a National Wrestling promo, so I may need to rewrite that... I've used the Cruiserweight World Cup to introduce a few prediction winner suggestions, so keep your eyes peeled! I hope you enjoy Damian Dastardly in the NWF I mean he does put on bangers! 😛 As I said above, Leighton is on the way up and doing really well - so expect to see more of him!
  8. WrestleWorld GB & NWF present: For Queen & Country Sunday W1 June 2021 Attendance: 1,192 Show Rating: 71 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to ‘For Queen & Country’! We have a huge night of wrestling in-store for you tonight, with three title matches coming your way. My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! Tonight promises to be a huge night for The Network, as The Northern Lights defend their British Tag Team titles against the Foundation before ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie challenges for the British Heavyweight Championship in tonight’s blockbuster Main Event against ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory!” Jackie Goldstein: “The Cruiserweight championship is also on the line as JK Lee looks to put an end to The Force, as he faces Jase Cole. And we have a cross generational battle, as Dangermouth leads a team of Gen-Zers against Byron and his Boomers.” Melanie Florence: “But we open the evening with a huge contest, as Edison Silva faces Leighton Buzzard for the honour of representing England at the upcoming Cruiserweight World Cup!” Leighton Buzzard VS Edison Silva w/ Mo Adebola The crowd were solidly behind Leighton Buzzard for this one, after Mo Adebola’s legal trickery had set this match up after Buzzard thought he had already earned the right to represent England by beating Brilliant White in the final of a Qualification Tournament on National Wrestling. The pair Worked The Crowd in this opening contest, with Leighton Buzzard drawing sympathy heat in the early stages as Edison Silva dominated proceedings – before Buzzard started his big comeback. Bang! Picture perfect dropkick. Bang! And another! Edison Silva was reeling, as Buzzard hopped to the second rope looking for his Buzz Off (Diving Tornado DDT). Silva looked in real trouble as the dazed MMA fighter struggled back to his feet, but Buzzard’s take off was delayed as Mo Adebola desperately grabbed onto his foot. Buzzard kicked Adebola off him, before leaping off for his Buzz Off – but the slight delay caused by Adebola grabbing Buzzard’s foot, had allowed Silva to recover and the MMA fighter was able to take Buzzard out of the air with a perfectly timed Knee Strike KO! Buzzard slumped to the mat, and Silva made the cover to secure his spot as England’s representative. Mo Adebola immediately hopped into the ring and draped a St George’s flag over his clients shoulders, as the legal advisor celebrated like Silva had already won the World Cup! The crowd showered the pair in boos, as Adebola continued his over the top celebrations. Winner: Edison Silva Rating: 65 The booing of the crowd continued, and could still be heard as we cut backstage to the interview zone – where Rachel Dearheart was stood by with a number of new faces to the NWF, who she introduced as competitors in the upcoming Cruiserweight World Cup! However once Rachel reached the Spanish competitor Victor Jimenez, she immediately had the microphone stolen from her. The Spaniard said he had taken the microphone because of the mascara (mask) of the Japanese competitor Akihiro Hisato, who was stood next to Jimenez. The Spaniard called the mascara a cheap knock-off of true lucha libre tradition! Jimenez seemed to have a lot more to say about the rest of the competitors, but was cut off as Edison Silva and Mo Adebola arrived into the interview zone and demanded the microphone. Mo Adebola: “My client Edison Silva has just earned the right to represent this great country in the Cruiserweight World Cup, he will not be booed and jeered by the basement dwellers who frequent this show!” This of course only fueled to intensify the boos of the crowd, which only serving to rile up Adebola and Silva even more! Mo Adebola: “My client has never been pinned or submitted in this company, and will not tolerate this blatant disrespect! Edison Silva has won the right to represent England in the Cruiserweight World Cup, and you people have until Wednesday to get on board – or my client will revert to his second nationality, Brazil, and England will have no representative at all!” The boos intensified even further, as Mo Adebola slammed the mic into the chest of the nearest wrestler to him before storming off – in this case New Zealand’s representative in the CWC Damian Dastardly. Damian Dastardly (smirking): “Now that’s dastardly!” Rating: 52 We cut back to the ring, where we found the final preparations taking place for Chuck Frisby’s ‘physical challenge’. Two Pull Up bars had been set up in the ring side by side, Dwayne Dark was stood by one and a long line of punters had formed by the second – a line which Chuck Frisby was currently working his way down collecting £10 from each of them. Once he had all of the money, Chuck grabbed a microphone to start the challenge. Chuck Frisby: “Thank you to everyone taking part in the Frisby Foundation for Fitness Pull Up challenge! The rules are simple – Dwayne here will do as many pull ups as he can, and then you will all have one attempt to beat him! Anyone who completes more reps than Dwayne using this bar” Chuck motioned to the bar nearest the queue. “will win our £1000 grand prize!” There was excited murmuring down the line, as Chuck motioned to Dwayne Dark to begin. The crowd counted along as Dark did his set, maxing out at 25 repetitions. With the target set, the first punter stepped up. He jumped onto the pull up bar, but was only able to complete 2 pull ups between falling off. He looked very disgruntled, and motioned to the person behind him that the bar had rotated. The second man took his go, but he too fell off quickly. The third competitor was a large man and, having seen what happened to the first two challengers, he stepped across to the bar Dwayne Dark had used for his set. Using this bar, the third man was able to complete 25 repetitions – a tie with Dwayne’s score! All eyes were on Chuck Frisby as to what would happen in the event of a tie… Chuck Frisby: “First of all, I want to say – terrific effort! To tie with one of my clients is a fantastic accomplishment… HOWEVER, I did clearly state that to qualify for the top prize you would have to beat Dwayne’s score on THIS bar.” Chuck motioned at the bar that the first two competitors had failed on, before adding: “And in any case, we don’t pay ties!” The third competitor was furious, and – exhausted from his first effort, he was unable to get anywhere close to Dwayne’s effort on the other bar. Attempt after attempt went by, with most walking away looking hugely disgruntled… not that it seemed to bother Chuck Frisby, who was positively beaming at every failure. After the last punter had failed the challenge, she called Chuck a cheat and claimed that the bar was rigged! The personal trainer simply called back “No refunds!” Before running to the back grasping all the £10 notes he had taken from the crowd! Jackie Goldstein: “I’ve seen a lot during my time in this business, but that might just be the shadiest thing I have ever seen!” Rating: 48 Dangermouth, Darin Flynn & Evan Alpass VS High Society (Byron, Dylan Drama & Joey Beauchamp) A lot of bad blood between the competitors in this match, as the contest quickly descended into a Wild Brawl. Referee Roy Worrall struggled to control the action, as the brawling spilled to the outside. The turning point in the match came with Evan Alpass and Dylan Drama wrestling at the top of the ramp. Alpass looked for a Belly-to-Belly Suplex, but Drama seemed to under-rotate and landed hard on his cheek. Evan Alpass was quickly cleared from the area, as medics assessed Drama and helped him to the back. With Drama removed from the contest, the Gen-Zers found themselves with the numbers advantage. Byron and Beauchamp used all of their veteran wiles to extend the match, but eventually the numbers proved too much and Byron made his escape through the crowd – leaving Beauchamp alone, allowing Dangermouth to hit his Flatliner (Reverse STO) to secure the victory for Gen-Z. Winners: Dangermouth, Darin Flynn & Evan Alpass Rating: 49 Next we have the pre-recorded sit down interview filmed with Stuart Wilson and Rachel Dearheart. The interview covered a wide variety of topics. Some highlights: On why he got into wrestling: Stuart Wilson: “I think most people would be shocked to hear that the aftercare of an Olympic medalist is non-existent. You get a one off payment for winning the medal – and it’s less than you’d think by the way, and then you’re cut off. No more gym memberships, no pension, no nothing. I needed a way to make money and wrestling was a vehicle to do that.” On his relationship with Chuck Frisby: Stuart Wilson: “It was purely business. Chuck offered me a lot of guaranteed money, so I took it. Call it an athlete endorsement, an influencer deal – I don’t care. All I know is it was more money than anyone else in this business had offered me – and all I had to do was put my face to his second rate personal training business, a small price to pay. I’d happily have kept doing it if he’d paid up, but getting the payments was like getting blood from a stone… that’s when I had to go the legal route.” How had he spent his winnings?: Stuart Wilson: “I’ve been on a training camp. I feel refreshed and ready to get back into things. Being saddled with Chuck Frisby has meant that my time in the NWF hasn’t gone as planned so far, but now that I’m free of that distraction I can focus on what’s important – the British Heavyweight Championship! And setting up my new Olympia gym is the first step in that.” On Olympia: Stuart Wilson: “In the build up to the Olympics I had access to state of the art training facilities, but I lost all of that after I retired from athletics. With Olympia I’m going to build a facility that gives me access to that again. Preparation is the key to success, and I am going to approach wrestling like an Olympic sport.” On whether setting up Olympia in Chuck Frisby’s old gym was intentional: Stuart Wilson (smirking): “No comment.” Rating: 61 Jase Cole VS ‘The Bulldog’ JK Lee (C) NWF Cruiserweight Championship A wrestling purist, JK Lee hated everything that his opponent stood for – from the sci-fi themed entrance music, to the generic laser sword, to the movie accurate cloak. However underneath the exuberant sci-fi exterior, Jase Cole is an extremely competent wrestling having won titles all over Europe. This was an extremely even contest, with JK Lee looking to overwhelm his opponent on the ground but Cole always seeming to find a way to squirm out of the Cruiserweight champions clutches whenever he looked like getting into trouble. A prime example of this was when Lee was finally able to lock in his Crossface submission, but Cole had managed to position himself just close enough to calmly hook his right foot over the bottom rope to force a rope break. The match had just passed ten minutes when Jase Cole connected with a Springboard Clothesline, and looked to have turned the momentum back his way – when the lights of the building cut out and the eerie music from the vignettes we had seen over the past few weeks began to play over the speakers. Clearly sensing something was wrong, Jase Cole retrieved his generic laser sword from his corner and turned it on… In the glow of the laser sword, you could just make out the face of a huge hulking figure over the shoulder of Jase Cole – and it was covered in blood. Before Cole could react, the new figure hit a big Full Nelson Slam on the cruiserweight. The lights came back up, and both JK Lee and referee Roy Worrall momentarily froze as they looked up at the face covered in blood. Regaining his senses, JK Lee scrambled into a cover and Roy Worrall warily counted the three – with neither man taking their eyes off of the new arrival. After the three count, the lights went off again and the hulking figure disappeared. Leaving a confused JK Lee to celebrate his victory. Winner: JK Lee – Title defence #3 Rating: 55 The camera cut to the office of Frank Finkleton, as the network executive was giving a pep talk to ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie and The Northern Lights ahead of their title matches. Frank Finkleton: “Big night tonight boys! Mark Moore may think that he outsmarted us by going to Mo to get around me, but tonight Alton… Riddick – you can rock the very ‘Foundation’ of the tag division.” The Northern Lights nodded along, clearly ready for their title defence. Frank Finkleton: “And Nathan, we’ve shown all month that we have the measure of Landon Mallory. Tonight we show everyone the true power of The Network!” Rating: 66 The Foundation w/ Mark Moore VS The Northern Lights w/ Frank Finkleton NWF British Tag Team Titles A huge tag team match up between two of the biggest teams on the UK Independent scene. The Foundation have won tag team gold in every promotion they have wrestled, and were looking to add the NWF British Tag Team Titles to their trophy cabinet tonight. The match started with The Northern Lights successfully isolating Martin Heath in their corner, with Heath selling with everything he had to gain sympathy heat from the crowd. After a prolonged beat down, Heath was able to dive across the ring to make the hot tag to Jon Michael Sharp! Sharp hit the ring hot, taking down both members of The Northern Lights with Flying Clotheslines. Sharp continued his momentum, building up to his Flying Cross Body finisher… but Alton Vicious was able to catch the babyface right out of the air in an impressive show of power, and hit a Fallaway Slam. With Sharp’s momentum coming to a screeching halt, The Northern Lights were able to set him up for their Lights Out (Doomsday Device) and secure a hugely impressive first title defence. Winners: The Northern Lights – Title Defence #1 Rating: 59 ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory VS ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie NWF British Heavyweight Championship Our huge Main Event for the evening saw two of the NWF’s top in-ring talents battle it out over twenty minutes in what was undoubtedly the promotions best match to date. Mallory & McKenzie were given the freedom to Call the action In the Ring – the first time this freedom had been given to anyone in the promotions short history. Big Mac earned an early warning from referee Roy Worrall, as a thumb to the eye turned the momentum of the match in the big Australian’s favour. The Network leader pushed home his advantage with heavy right hands and clubbing forearm blows, before looking to finish things early with a Snake Eyes to the champion – but The Springbok showed off his impressive athleticism by leaping over the onrushing Spear attempt. Landon Mallory slowly worked his way back into the match, culminating in an impressive show of power as The Springbok hoisted Big Mac onto his shoulder to hit his Running Powerslam. Mallory began to stalk his prey, setting up for his Springbok Ram – but was distracted as The Northern Lights made their way out from the back. The tag team champions slowly sauntered down the ramp, as Mallory motioned for them to join him in the ring… only for Big Mac to jump the British Heavyweight Champion from behind. Mocking his opponent, the big Austalian copied The Springbok’s mannerisms as he stalked the South African – setting up for a Spear of his own… when a theme song we hadn’t head since March Madness blared over the speakers. ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie couldn’t believe his eyes as Nate Manchester came flying out of the back, taking down both members of The Northern Lights with a double Clothesline. ‘The Real Angel Of The North’ hadn’t been seen since Big Mac injured his knee three months ago during their March Madness match. The Aussie looked shocked to see the Geordie back in the NWF, and the surprise seemed to have caused Big Mac to forget about his opponent – as Landon Mallory span the big Aussie around to hit a second Running Powerslam. The Springbok beat his chest as he stalked his prey, before delivering a huge Springbok Ram (Gore). The crowd counted along as referee Roy Worrall counted the three to send the fans home happy. Winner: ‘The Springbok’ Landon Mallory – Title Defence #2 Rating: 73 Jackie Goldstein: “Landon Mallory does it! But a huge assist has to go to the returning Nate Manchester!” Melanie Florence: “We haven’t seen Nate Manchester in three months, and he returns out of the blue to get his revenge on the man who injured him! I can’t imagine Big Mac or the rest of The Network will take this lying down though…” Jackie Goldstein: “Nate Manchester has put himself right in the firing line on his return! Join us this Wednesday to see how The Network respond, and for the first round of the Cruiserweight World Cup! You won’t want to miss it!”

  11. Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 6 Remo vs Robbie Retro Remo>Disco The Pain Alliance (Big Smack Scott & Kurt Laramee) vs ??? Not sure who you could bring in this early who would be big enough names to beat The Pain Alliance... but I'd be happy to be proved wrong Bear Bekowski vs ZWB Bear just doesn't do it for me, and ZWB is a star Jungle Lord vs Spencer Spade I'm going to keep picking him until he wins one The Awesomeness (Jefferson Stardust & Huey Cannonball) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger) They are Awesome after all... Main Event: Rocky Golden & Lenny Brown vs Brandon James & Des Davids Based on your comments it sounds like you may be setting Brandon James for a title challenge? Bold move, but I'm here for it - so I'm backing it Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 7 American Machine & Angry Gilmore vs Atom Smasher & The Crippler American Machine feels like he's here to eat the pin. Although I do think Machine & Gilmore could be a fun duo James Prudence vs Mikey Lau These two have history in CZCW, and a win over Prudence would help reset Mikey after his recent losses High Flyin Hawaiian vs Paul Huntingdon Could see arguments for both to win, but High Flyin Hawaiian has the bigger upside Brandon James vs Steven Parker I'm following my logic he may be being pushed towards a title shot from above Main Event: SWF North American Des Davids (c) vs Lenny Brown I don't think Lenny is the man to beat Des Davids Comments on diary / last episode: Surprised to see Scythe lose again. He's young enough that it makes sense he could lose to top guys like Golden/Rogue, but I always find it hard to have supernatural types lose as I'm worried about losing their mystique. Interested to see where you are going with Scythe, as he seems to be moving away from the title picture for now.
  12. Predictions for Kingdom, Episode 22, Week 1, July 2020 The Underdogs [vs] Nightmare and Ruin The Underdogs have been on a bit of a losing run, and I expect the match they turn it around in to be a bigger stage than Nightmare & Ruin (no offence meant to Nightmare & Ruin of cousre...) Sifu [vs] ‘The British Lion’ Leigh Burton Sifu has always struck me as a tag guy, whereas Leigh Burton has been up rubbing shoulders with your top guys ‘The Irish Stretching Machine [vs] Stevie ‘Smasher’ Stoat I'm assuming this is Merle O'Curle? Anyhow, you don't seem to rate Stoat, so voting against him. Gorilla Lee w/ The Lee FamiLee [vs] Lone Wolf Lone Wolf got his first win the other week, but I don't expect him to add to it here Nate Manchester [vs] ???? I was very tempted by ??? here, but I feel like you've had a lot of debuts recently so I'm playing it safe ‘The Neanderthal’ Andrew Lee w/ The Lee FamiLee [vs] ‘Awesome’ Wade Orson Wade Orson is one of your top guys, whereas Andrew Lee is a project. You could well strap the rocket to Lee, but I feel Orson is more valuable to you right now
  13. Next week on Title Bout Wrestling... CGC Canadian Title Match: Moose Mulder vs Dan DaLay Can't see Dan losing his title any time soon Barry Bowen vs Howling Dog Nothing you can do once the train gets rolling... Eric Tyler vs Jack DeColt I expect shenanigans, but Tyler will teach the young DeColt a few new lessons in the dark arts of wrestling
  14. Thank you to everyone who commented, predicted and reacted to the latest show - it really is appreciated! I hope everyone enjoyed the episode, as we move into 'For Queen & Country'. Congratulatons to DexterXSR, KyTeran, John Lions, Wrestling Machine & azzak who all got a perfect score on the last episode. John Lions retains a two point lead heading into the PLE, but azzak, Wrestling Machine and KyTeran all remain within striking distance. (maximum of 3) Any other comments/questions on the diary:
  15. Thanks @newbiezness, glad you enjoyed the Main Event! The line in Mo's bio about him always hustling up schemes and loopholes to get his clients big matches is what sold me on the character originally, and I felt I could really lean into that with this storyline! Heel vs Heel storylines are hard to maintain in the long run - I don't tend to book Heel vs Heel matches as the ratings don't deliver, so I don't expect to see Big Mac vs Silva. But there is definitely an ongoing power struggle between Finkleton and Adebola. Mo may have won this round, but expect to see them butting heads again in the future. Hopefully I can change your mind on The Force! I had a fun little storyline planned between them and a few other characters, but I may have to tone that down if they're not really connecting with readers. Interesting that you have Wilson pegged as the guy to beat Mallory this early! He's defintely a guy I have in mind as a potential top guy - he has legitimacy from his Olympic medal, he's big and powerful and he can talk pretty well. His biggest issue is that despite being 38 years old he's still fairly green, although he is improving in the ring. Definitely one to keep an eye on. Your analysis here is spot on! Leighton would be the perfect guy to represent England in the first Cruiserweight World Cup... unfortunately he now has to get through Edison Silva first! Thanks to everyone for their comments, I really do appreciate them. It helps me know what is/isn't working in the diary, and can help me with future ideas.
  16. WrestleWorld GB & NWF present: National Wrestling Episode #32 Wednesday W1 June 2024 Show Rating: 57 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome back to National Wrestling! We are four days away from ‘For Queen And Country’, and a huge Main Event matchup between the British Heavyweight Champion Landon Mallory and the leader of The Network ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie! Joining me at ringside as always is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! We have a huge show in store for everyone tonight, as number one contenders for the British Tag Team Titles The Foundation are in action against the young duo of Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson. And on top of that, Stuart Wilson, Dwayne Dark and Chuck Frisby are all in the same building for the first time since their court hearing!” Jackie Goldstein: “And of course in tonight’s Main Event Leighton Buzzard and Brilliant White fight it out for the honour of representing their country at the inaugural Cruiserweight World Cup!” Neville Jones VS ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson Our opening contest saw the return of Stuart Wilson, for his first appearance on National Wrestling since his victory in the courtrooms over Chuck Frisby in their missing payment lawsuit. Last week we saw Staurt Wilson taking over Chuck Frisby’s former gym building and having Chuck Frisby escorted from his premises – prematurely ending the second Frisby Foundation for Fitness community day. Jackie Goldstein announced on commentary that Stuart Wilson would be sitting down with Rachel Dearheart later this week for an exclusive interview that would be aired at ‘For Queen And Country’, discussing his lawsuit, new gym venture and his future with the NWF. In the ring, Stuart Wilson was all business. Gone was the showmanship and Overhead press reps that defined his tenure with the Frisby Foundation for Fitness, this was replaced by an intense focus and ruthlessness. Neville Jones did his best to resist, but Wilson showed off his incredible power (built during his time as an Olympic medalist in the Hammer Throw) and overwhelmed his opponent. Hoisting Jones onto his shoulder, Wilson was able to hit his Bronze Bomber (Running Powerslam) to punctuate an impressive return to the ring. Winner: Stuart Wilson Rating: 52 ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie made his way to the ring. The number one contender ended last weeks show nose to nose with Landon Mallory, but this week the Aussie seemed more interested in insulting the NWF crowd. Nathan McKenzie: “The more I think about it, the funnier it gets that you poms couldn’t even find one of your own to Main Event a show called ‘For Queen And Country’! Yeah right, I’m telling your right now - an Aussie and a Saffer ain’t performing for your queen or your country. You lot talk about how you want to reduce immigration, but I reckon this is a good lesson in why you need it. There’s not an ounce o’ talent between the lot of ya!” Apparently the British Heavyweight Champion had heard enough, as Landon Mallory’s music blared over the speakers and The Springbok made his way down to the ring to address his opponent this Sunday night. Landon Mallory: “You just can’t help yourself can you? Ever since you arrived in the NWF all you’ve done is make enemies of everyone you meet… I don’t care how big you are, eventually that’s going to come back to bite you!” Nathan McKenzie (grinning): “Crikey mate, the way I see it the only one with enemies around here… is you!” Baiting the British Heavyweight Champion out here had clearly been the plan all along, as Big Mac’s stablemates The Northern Lights slid into the ring behind Landon Mallory and jumped the British Heavyweight Champion from behind. The trio began to lay the boots into The Springbok, and it looked like the beatdown from two weeks ago was going to repeat itself – when The Foundation came sprinting out from the back to even the odds! Not wanting to engage in a fair fight, The Network bailed from the ring and backpedaled away from the ring. Landon Mallory raised his title high in the air, as The Foundation motioned at The Northern Lights that they were coming for their titles this Sunday! Rating: 66 The Foundation w/ Mark Moore VS Black Country Boys As The Network backed away shouting back at the babyfaces in the ring, the music of Black Country Boys (Gazz Vedmore and Mickey Robson) played over the speakers and the enthusiastic young duo crossed paths with the network as the stomped down to the ring for their upcoming match. Landon Mallory shook hands with The Foundation, thanking them for their help, before exiting the ring and allowing the tag team match to begin. Both of these teams showed excellent chemistry with their partners throughout the match, making for a slick and entertaining contest. While Vedmore & Robson had great chemistry, they lacked the experience of their opponents – and this proved to be the difference as The Foundation were able to isolate Mickey Robson late in the contest and hit their Disarmer to secure a momentum boosting win going into their title match this Sunday. Winners: The Foundation Rating: 48 Next up, the unlikely trio of Dangermouth, Evan Alpass and Darin Flynn made their way to the ring. Two weeks ago Dangermouth and Flynn had saved Evan Alpass from a beatdown by High Society, after Byron had run down Generation Z as self-entitled, lazy and disrespectful. Dangermouth: “Byron, two weeks ago you disrespected me and my entire generation. You call us lazy, you called us self-entitled, you called us disrespectful… but the only disrespectful thing I seeing around here is you stealing a victory from my boy Evan Alpass last week.” Evan Alpass and Darin Flynn nodded along with Dangermouth, showing they too had had just about enough of Byron. Dangermouth: “We’ve had just about enough of your Boomer attitude. So if you think your generation is so much better than ours, then why don’t you prove it in the ring? My boys here want a piece of you too, so why don’t we make this a little 3-on-3?” The music of High Society played over the speakers and Byron led out Joey Beauchamp and Dylan Drama, microphone already in hand. Byron: “I can promise you, it’s not just me that thinks your generation is a waste of space Mr Moss. But if you three are the best Gen-Z can conjure up, then Joey, Dylan and I would be more than happy to prove to you that you really should learn to respect your elders.” Rating: 55 The Force (Jase Cole & Christopher Lister) VS JK Lee & Padraig O’Hearne We are told that JK Lee requested this match after his teams’ loss in the Main Event of last weeks’ show. Lee had found Padraig O’Hearne talking to Cole & Lister before their match, and the Irishman had subsequently seemed distracted throughout their loss. JK Lee started the match aggressively, as ‘The Bulldog’ attempted to overwhelm Christopher Lister with his ground and submission game. However, rather than being overwhelmed Lister remained calm and was able to duck, dodge and weave his way out of the incoming barrage from JK Lee. This only served to anger Lee further, as he looked to lock in his Crossface finisher – but this time Lister had positioned himself perfectly to execute an immediate rope break. Frustrated, Lee tagged in O’Hearne. As soon as the tag was made, Lister tagged out to Jase Cole. Much like his partner, Cole seemed to be able to anticipate the incoming attacks from O’Hearne and easily evade them. O’Hearne continued to be aggressive with little success, until Cole seemed to sense the perfect moment to switch from defence to attack. O’Hearne had no response to the sudden shift, as Cole wore him down with swift, precise blows. With O’Hearne disorientated, Jase Cole was able to hit his Sky High (Springboard Cross Body) – and once again JK Lee did nothing to help his partner as referee Roy Worrall counted the three. Winners: The Force Rating: 52 Following the match JK Lee grabbed a microphone and told The Force that he’d had enough of their childish stories, and that he’d put an end to it this Sunday at ‘For Queen And Country’. Lee offered either member of the force a shot at his Cruiserweight Championship, an offer which Jase Cole happily stepped forward to accept. ******* Eerie music played over the speakers, as a vignette began to play. The camera panned down from an opening shot of the full moon, to show the same large silhouette we had seen in the previous vignettes. While we were unable to make out any of the figures features, we could see that he had animal skewered over a roaring fire. The figure pulled out a knife, and in a fluid movement expertly slit the creatures belly. Using his fingers, the figure slowly smeared the creatures blood over his face. The camera panned over the figures shoulder as he stood up, showing he was on a hillside overlooking the building where the show was being held! There was a distant wolf cry, and the man began to walk down the hill as the camera faded to black… Rating: 41 Red Dragon VS Dwayne Dark w/ Chuck Frisby Next up we saw the return of Dwayne Dark and Chuck Frisby, with the pair making their first in person appearance on National Wrestling since March. Dark was his usual stoic self, but Chuck Frisby seemed surprisingly chipper considering his recent attitude since his courtroom loss. Dwayne Dark had a clear power advantage, and while Red Dragon was able to use his veteran wiles to hold off the ripped Middlewight for a period – this would ultimately be the deciding factor. Once Dwayne Dark had control of the match he never gave it up, even taking time to appease Chuck Frisby at ringside who had been calling for his client to overhead press his opponent all match. The personal trainer counted along, as his client pressed the former 21CW World Champion over his head ten times. With Chuck happy at ringside, Dwayne Dark hit his Darkness Falls (Batista Bomb) to secure what was undoubtedly the biggest win of his NWF career to date. Winner: Dwayne Dark Rating: 43 As Dwayne Dark’s hand was raised, his personal trainer grabbed a microphone from ringside to address the crowd. Chuck Frisby: “First of all, I want to thank everyone who turned to up to the second Frisby Foundation for Fitness community day last week – and to apologise for the rude interruption! BUT enough about all of that, because tonight I have an exciting announcement. Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness is excited to announce that this Sunday there will be a special physical challenge right here in this ring with a £1000 grand prize on offer for anybody who can beat my client!” There were a few murmurs of interest in the crowd at the prize, which Chuck jumped on. Chuck Frisby: “Entry is £10, so be sure to bring your wallets! And Frank has agreed we can host it, so we won’t have any of the same issues as last week! So all you fatties make sure to bring those wallets, and you can lose weight AND win money thanks to Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness! Because my name is Chuck Frisby, and I’m here to tackle England’s obesity crisis – one £10 entry fee at a time!” Rating: 45 Leighton Buzzard VS Brilliant White Cruiserweight World Cup Qualifier - Final The Main Event of the evening was the final of the tournament to crown who would have the honour of representing England at the inaugural Cruiserweight World Cup next month. There was a lot of excitement around the arena as Brilliant White appeared in a flash of (brilliant) white light wearing his Phantom of the Opera inspired mask. Despite the spectacular entrance, the crowd was firmly behind Leighton Buzzard – with a number of signs in the crowd predicting the match would be a #banger! With so much at stake, both men threw themselves into a match with High Spots galore. There were a number of near falls, as both men risked their bodies in order to secure their spot representing their country. The most spectacular spot saw Brilliant White hit his White Out (Swanton Bomb) from the top rope down onto Leighton Buzzard on the floor below. Unfortunately this took almost as much out of Brilliant White as it did his opponent, so the daredevil was unable to capatalise. The match went twelve minutes of high octane action, with a number of near falls from both sides – but to the delight of the crowd it was Leighton Buzzard who was able to hit his Buzz Off (diving Tornado DDT from the second rope) to secure the biggest win of his NWF career! Winner: Leighton Buzzard Rating: 54 In a feel good moment to close out the show, Leighton Buzzard was draped in a St George’s flag and celebrated with the crowd – taking the time to point out a ‘British Bangers’ sign in the front row, before grabbing a microphone. Leighton Buzzard: “I just wanted to thank you all for all of your support. I’ll do my best to represent all of you… and I can promise you is one thing – the Cruiserweight World Cup will be an absolute banger!” Buzzard started to celebrate with the crowd, as Jackie Goldstein began to sign us out – before the moment was undercut by the music of the former British Heavyweight champion - Edison Silva. Jackie Goldstein: “Now what are these two doing out here? This is Leighton Buzzard’s moment!” Edison Silva was first out from the back, joined shortly after by his legal advisor Mo Adebola who, as he so often does, had a microphone in hand. Boos rained down on the pair, with the fans clearly unhappy they can gatecrashed Leighton Buzzard’s party. Mo Adebola: “Settle down. Settle down. We just wanted to come out here and congratulate Mr Buzzard on winning this tournament. It’s a great achievement, no doubt about it… and it puts him one step closer to representing his country at the Cruiserweight World Cup.” Leighton Buzzard looked confused in the ring. As Jackie Goldstein pointed out on commentary, he had already earned the right to represent England by beating Brilliant White tonight. Mo Adebola: “You look confused Leighton, allow me to explain…” Mo Adebola produced a piece of paper from his suit jacket pocket, and Jackie immediately groaned on commentary and the crowd began to boo. Mo Adebola: “In my hand I hold a document that after… a lot of negotiation, states that my client Edison Silva was not given a fair and equal opportunity to apply for the Cruiserweight World Cup qualification tournament. As such, this contract states that my client will face the winner of the qualification tournament this Sunday at ‘For Queen And Country’ – and the winner of that match will be given the honour of representing her majesty at the Cruiserweight World Cup next month!” Leighton Buzzard looked furious in the ring as boos rained down on Mo Adebola and Edison Silva to close the show. Rating: 63 Jackie Goldstein: “I can’t believe it! Mo Adebola has stolen the biggest moment of Leighton Buzzard’s career away from him!” Melanie Florence: “Like it or not, you can’t deny Mo Adebola does a great job for his clients.” Jackie Goldstein: “Oh he knows every legal loophole in the book… I just hope Leighton Buzzard wins on Sunday so that England has a representative we can be proud of!” Melanie Florence: “It just adds to an already stacked card at ‘For Queen And Country’! All three titles will be on the line, we have a huge generation vs generation 6-man-tag match up and an exclusive interview with Stuart Wilson.” Jackie Goldstein: “Add in whatever ‘physical challenge’ Chuck Frisby has planned AND an exclusive announcement about the upcoming Cruiserweight World Cup and we should have a great show! Join us this Sunday from 8pm only on WrestleWorld GB!”

Comments: I think it's too early in the piece for anyone big enough to upset Trent to be available. Gorgon vs. 'The Blonde Bombshell' Charity Sweet (w/Nicky Champion) Comments: Could go either way, but I think having Nicky Champion in her corner will swing things Charity Sweet's way 'The Angel of the Dark' Raven Robinson (w/Trent Shaffer) vs. Pariah Comments: Raven usually retires early in saves, so I'd expect to see her spending a lot of her wrestling time putting younger talent over 'The Dark Destroyer' Steve Frehley vs. Greg Black Comments: Frehley has a date with Jack Bruce - he isn't losing to Groucho Bling 'Dirty' Dusty Ducont (w/Elizabeth Cartier) vs. Bulldozer Brandon Smith Comments: Brandon is a much bigger deal, but wouldn't be totally surprised if you wanted to push Dusty USPW World Title Match Rich Money (w/Dusty Ducont and Elizabeth Cartier) defends vs. Nicky 'Hawkeye' Champion Comments: I'm going for the draw, as there's no way Money vs Champion on free TV ends clean Comments On Diary/Other Comments: Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for Jack Bruce post-Frehley. 19. Thank you to everybody who predicted and reacted to the latest episode, I really do appreciate it! Seemingly a tough episode to predict this time around, with no perfect scores. Congratulations to @SomeLazyMagic for being the only one to correctly predict the Main Event! Going into the go home show @John Lions holds a two point lead over a chasing pack of four predictors. I hope to see everyone back next episode! 20. Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 5 James Prudence vs Rocky Golden Routine victory for the champ, but this should score well SWF North American Title Shot Match Lenny Brown vs Primus Allen Primus is a level above Remmy, and a Primus Allen North American title run could be fun 3vs4 Handicap Match High Flyin Hawaiian and Faith & Old Glory (Matty Faith & Masked Patriot) vs The Rat Pack (Hollywood Bret Starr, Justin Sensitive, Monty Trescarde and Paul Huntingdon) If the Rat Pack can't win with a numbers advantage I feel all their credibility would be gone Mikey Lau vs Charger Siaki I feel like Mikey Lau needs this win, as he's another who's probably taken a decent pop/momentum hit following back to back losses on PPV Main Event: Rogue vs Scythe I feel like Valiant may be a factor here after what happened during his match with Remo (BONUS) Which match will have the highest rating? Prudence vs Golden Comments on diary / last event: I'm surprised how often you've gone Heel vs Heel so far in the diary, particularly in big matches, as it's something I always avoid like the plague. I'm surprised Brandon James has beaten Mikey Lau back to back at this stage of his career. Mikey is a nailed on star, and I'd have had him going over clean match one! Everyone's different though, and I'm looking forward to what you have planned for James with the push your giving him.
  21. @John Lions - Brilliant White has been a surprise to me this diary. I originally brought him in as a Cruiserweight jobber - basically a Heel Cain Carlisle, but he has really impressed both in singles matches and in his team with Ultra Violence. I feel like it was State of Mind that gave him more of an identity in my mind, but now he's a core part of the roster. @KyTeran - Interestingly my original plan was Buzzard vs Taypen, with a will he, won't he heel turn tease for Buzzard as he got more big headed throughout the tournament. But when Brilliant White returned from injury I changed the plans, as I didn't think that fit how I'd presented Buzzard so far. I think the final is both more interesting and will score better this way! A couple of reasons here. Bali has more history with Lee & O'Hearne than Red Dragon does, and this win serves as a measure of revenge for Bali after JK Lee injured him three months ago. Secondly, Bali and Welsh Dragon have chemistry as a team and Bali scores better than Red Dragon - so for a Main Event match up I wanted to make sure it scored as well as possible. Thanks! I'm hoping none of us will have to start liking Mo any time soon! Exactly this. Beating Alpass helped Byron a lot - I think he gained ~3 pop points through this win. This bumped him from Recognisable to Well Known, and gave him a lot more credibility as a stable leader. And like you say, it's one more thing he can hold over Bret's head going forwards...
  22. WrestleWorld GB & NWF present: NWF National Wrestling Episode #31 Wednesday W4 May 2021 Show Rating: 59 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling. My name is Jackie Goldstein and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie. We have a huge night of wrestling ahead of us! Last weeks show ended with The Network attacking British Heavyweight Champion Landon Mallory. We’re hearing that The Springbok will be in this ring to address the number one contender – ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie later tonight!” Jackie Goldstein: “Sparks are sure to fly in that one Melanie! But what about Edison Silva? Mo Adebola’s failed to secure his rematch for the British Heavyweight Championship, then he was too late to enter the Cruiserweight World Cup. What is next for the former British Heavyweight Champion?” Future X (Petey Barnes & Eric Future) VS Black Country Boys (Gazz Vedmore & Mickey Robson) In their first match since losing the British Tag Team titles, Future X reminded fans why they are one of the top teams in the NWF. The former champions put in a great performance against their young opponents here, with Petey Barnes scoring the victory after a Future Shock DDT (Aided Double Arm DDT). Winners: Future X (Petey Barnes & Eric Future) Rating: 53 We cut backstage to the dressing room of High Society. Byron admiring his luscious golden locks in the mirror, as Joey Beauchamp and Dylan Drama relaxed in the background. Suddenly the dressing room door opened, causing Byron to divert his attention away from his reflection. Bret Heartbreak stepped nervously into the dressing room, followed by an anxious looking Holly Leves. An awkward tension hung in the air, as Bret and Byron both seemed to wait for the other to speak. Bret eventually broke the silence. Bret Heartbreak: “You’re doorman let me in on account of being your son…” Byron (to Dylan Drama): “Dylan, we’ll have to let your father know that the doorman he provided are not up to the job.” There was another awkward pause, until Bret broke the silence once again. Bret Heartbreak: “Look dad. About what you said last week… you didn’t really mean that, did you?” Byron: “Bret, I’ve been thinking about this a lot since last week… and I think I’ve worked out where everything went wrong.” Holly Leves (shocked): “Went wrong?” Byron: “Oh yes, I blame your mother. You were molly coddled from birth. I tried to course correct, but I was out on the road wrestling – there was only so much I could do. In my childhood we celebrated excellence, and people had to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. But your generation gave out participation medals… a generation that celebrates mediocrity. So that’s what you became – mediocre.” Bret look stung as his father pushed past him and left the dressing room on his way to the ring. Rating: 49 Evan Alpass VS Byron w/ High Society Evan Alpass got a lot of female attention as he posed for selfies with the fans in the front row, something Melanie Florence couldn’t understand when you had a ten-time World Champion like Byron already stood in the ring! Evan Alpass showed that he was more than just looks, as he went blow for blow with his vastly more experienced opponent. Byron grew more and more frustrated the longer the match went, with the veteran unable to fashion an advantage. It was actually Alpass who was the man able to take control, as he backed Byron into a corner. With Byron in trouble, Dylan Drama hopped on the apron looking to help. This drew referee Roy Worrall’s attention, and as the referee tried to deal with Drama - ‘The Breeze’ slid into the other side of the ring and dropped Evan Alpass with a Breeze Block (Forward Russian Leg Sweep). Beauchamp was out of the ring by the time the referee had finished dealing with Drama, allowing Byron to hit his Upper Class (European Uppercut) to steal the win. Winner: Byron Rating: 45 The crowd erupted as the music of the British Heavyweight Champion blared over the speakers. The South African took in the cheers of the crowd and high fived kids in the front row on his way down to the ring. Landon Mallory: “Yebo!” The crowd roared their approval, and Mallory had to pause again as he waited for them to die down. Landon Mallory: “Last week I experienced the highs and the lows of holding this championship! I said when I won this belt that I would be a fighting champion, and last week we made history! The very first British Heavyweight Championship title match on National Wrestling, and ‘The Springbok’ came out on top!” The crowd roared their approval once again, and once again Mallory paused waiting for calm. Landon Mallory: “But from those highs, we also felt the depths of the lows. This title puts a target on your back, and I felt that last week as I was jumped by ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie and the rest of The Network. Now I’m not scared to admit they did a number on me last week, but that was three-on-one – and tonight I want to invite ‘Big Mac’ out here to face me man to man…” The Springbok didn’t have to wait long for an answer, as Big Mac’s music played over the speakers and the 6’5 Australian strolled out from the back. Nathan McKenzie: “Crikey mate, I’ve been listening to you banging on… ‘making history’ is a bit rich ain’t it? So you beat a five foot nothing Welsh midget? I can promise ya things will be a bit different in two weeks’ time when you’re stood across the ring from a 6’5, 320lb man mountain from Brissie…” Landon Mallory: “You’re a big man Nathan, but I’ve taken down bigger men than you before…” Nathan McKenzie: “Big words from a little man. There won’t be anyone else in that ring to mess me up this time Landon, so that title on your shoulder is coming back to The Network!” Landon Mallory: “I went through hell and back to get this title, and if you want to take it from me you’ll have to too!” The two men went nose to nose, with Big Mac towering over Mallory being a full three inches taller. The South African didn’t give an inch though, and the pair stayed nose to nose until we cut away to a pre-recorded video. Rating: 61 We cut to a pre-recorded segment from earlier in the day, showing the second Frisby Foundation for Fitness community day! A decent crowd had gathered in what looked to be the car park of the building that used to house the Frisby Foundation for Fitness gym. Chuck Frisby looked in his element as he gave a speech to the growing crowd. However, just as Chuck appeared to be reaching the conclusion of his speech a police officer walked over and asked to speak to be personal trainer. The police officer informed Chuck that the car park was private land, and that the leaseholder had called the police and asked them to disperse the event as it didn’t have approval. Chuck Frisby: “The leaseholder? But I was the lease holder until last week, who could have taken up the lease already?” Stuart Wilson: “That would be me Chuck… with the winnings from our case I thought I’d set up my own gym. I think I’ll call it Olympia…” The policeman began to try and move Chuck Frisby out of the car park, as Dwayne Dark stared a hole into Stuart Wilson. Stuart Wilson: “Oh and thanks for bringing all of these people here Chuck! They seem like the perfect captive audience for the new gym!” The former Olympian laughed as he made his way over to the assembled crowd to talk to them about his new gym opening on this very site! ********** The policeman had moved Chuck Frisby and Dwayne Dark into a nearby park, and the pair were sat slumped on a park bench as Chuck pondered what to do. Dwayne Dark: “Look on the bright side Chuck. Look how many people turned up to your event…” Chuck Frisby (perking up): “You’re right! There must be hundreds more people out there just as stupid as that lot were! But… how can I get their money if I can’t set up anywhere? I need somewhere where hundreds of people gather every week, where I won’t be interrupted by the police… or worse Stuart Wilson!” There was silence for a moment, as both men stared at the ground deep in thought… before Dwayne Dark lifted his head. Dwayne Dark: “You know what boss… I think I have an idea!” Rating: 50 Leighton Buzzard VS Ultra Violence Cruiserweight World Cup Qualifier – Semi Final The first of our Semi Final matches in the tournament to crown England’s representative at the Cruiserweight World Cup saw Leighton Buzzard facing Ultra Violence. Leighton Buzzard started this match hot, with a series of picture perfect Dropkicks and diving Clotheslines stopping his opponent from getting going. The turning point in the match came with a ref bump, as an errant diving Clothesline saw referee Roy Worrall hit the mat. This created an opportunity for Ultra Violence to get his trusty cane involved in the match. Ultra Violence swung hard at the head of his opponent, but Buzzard was able to duck under the cane and surprised Ultra Violence by kicking the cane from his hand. Without his cane, Ultra Violence posed much less of a threat and Buzzard was able to regain control of the contest – building up to hit his Buzz Off (Diving Tornado DDT from the middle rope) and secure his spot in the final! Winner: Leighton Buzzard Rating: 49 The camera cut to show the office door of Frank Finkleton, which was currently locked and displaying a large ‘KEEP OUT’ sign. The picture changed to show what looked like security cam footage from within the office, and we could see Mo Adebola sat on one side of the desk opposite Frank Finkleton and his lawyer. Mountains of paper were strewn over the desk, with the two lawyers deep in negotiation. Unfortunately there was no audio so the commentary team could only wonder – what was Mo Adebola up to? Rating: 70 Grant Taypen VS Brilliant White Cruiserweight World Cup Qualifier – Semi Final You could not find two more contrasting competitors on the NWF roster. Ever the showman, Brilliant White appeared in a flash of (brilliant) white light wearing his Phantom of The Opera style mask – before showing off his daredevil style by throwing himself off various parts of the ring. By contrast Grant Taypen has a very simple wrestling style - relying on the basics of chain and mat wrestling, but struggling with anything more flashy. The clash of styles produced an entertaining contest, but it was the exuberance of Brilliant White that won out as he hit his White Out (Swanton Bomb) to win the match and secure his spot against Leighton Buzzard in the final. Rating: 46 We cut backstage to find the pairing of Jase Cole and Christopher Lister. Both men were wearing large robes, sat deep in meditation. A group of young wrestlers had gathered around the pair, with Padraig O’Hearne taking a particular interest. Christopher Lister: “Our powers come from accessing the energy field created by all living things. We’ve dedicated our lives to maintaining its balance.” Padraig O’Hearne: “And you’re here because you felt a disturbance in this energy field?” Jase Cole: “Correct youngling. We both sensed the largest disturbance we have ever felt, and followed it here…” Padraig O’Hearne: “And what do you think caused the disturbance?” Christopher Lister: “For a disturbance this large, it must be coming from someone trained in the dark arts.” Padraig O’Hearne: “The dark arts? You mean like in the…” Jase Cole (interrupting): “For there to be balance, there must be light and dark. But if the dark consumes the light, terrible things will happen.” Padraig O’Hearne: “And what does someone accessing the dark side look like?” Christopher Lister: “The dark side preys on peoples dreams and insecurities. Anger, fear, isolation, greed… these are emotions that can lead people to the dark side…” O’Hearne looked like he had a hundred more questions, but he was interrupted as JK Lee walked into shot and dragged his partner away. JK Lee: “What are you doing listening to these crackpots’ fairytales? We’ve got a match to win…” With Padraig O’Hearne no longer shooting questions at them, Christopher Lister returned to his meditation. Jase Cole shot one last look in the direction of Padraig O’Hearne with a knowing smile on his face, before he too returned to his meditation. Rating: 43 Grace Of Fire (Welsh Dragon & Bali Daljit) VS JK Lee & Padraig O’Hearne These four men have a lot of history, with JK Lee putting Bali Daljit on the shelf three months ago en-route to defeating Welsh Dragon for his Cruiserweight Championships later than month. In what proved to be a very even contest, the difference maker proved to be Padraig O’Hearne. The Irishman seemed distracted throughout, and made the mistake that handed the momentum to Welsh Dragon. Welsh Dragon took control of the contest with his lucha inspired moveset - including Arm Drags, Drop Toe Holds, Hurricanranas, and even more Arm Drags! JK Lee looked furious at ringside as Welsh Dragon headed to the top rope and hit his Dragon Kick (Spinning Thrust Kick from the top rope). Dragon made the cover on O’Hearne, as a frustrated Lee stared down disgusted at his partner – not doing anything to prevent referee Roy Worrall from counting to three. Winners: Grace Of Fire (Welsh Dragon & Bali Daljit) Rating: 56 Jackie Goldstein: “A huge win for Grace of Fire in tonights Main Event!” Melanie Florence: “But what was going on between JK Lee and Padraig O’Hearne? The pair did not look on the same page out there!” Jackie Goldstein: “Thank you for joining us tonight! Be sure to join us next week for our ‘go home’ show heading into ‘For Queen And Country’, where we’ll find out exactly who will be representing England in the upcoming Cruiserweight World Cup! You won’t want to miss it!”
  23. Next time on Title Bout Wrestling... CGC Tag Team Title Match: Soldiers of Fortune vs Alex & Jack DeColt This IS DeColt country after all Hollywood Maverick & Biff the Bruiser vs Moose Mulder & Eddie Chandler The man just had match of the year, give him a win! John McClean vs Black Sheep I imagine it will involve some shenanigans, but I think McClean gets the win Should WrestleFestival be televised? We're too small for a pay-per-view deal, but I could get it on free local TV . Or would that ruin the prestige? I think it depends how much 'realism' you want to apply here. Like DAVEFAN95 says, IRL running on free TV in the local area could potentially hurt your ticket sales - but I think in TEW terms running events on TV is okay. Think of it as free advertising for the brand.
  24. Predictions for NOTHING TO LOSE 2020 Remo vs Valiant Valiant has taken a lot of losses so far, so I feel like he needs the win here Mainstream Hernandez vs ZWB I'm assuming ZWB will be transitioning into a feud with Randy Joey Morgan and The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger) vs Unleashed Awesomeness (Randy Unleashed, Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball) Same as the above, Randy setting up for a feud with ZWB Angry Gilmore vs The Crippler Going for The Crippler to get a win back and set up a rubber match Brandon James vs Mikey Lau Same as the above Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Rocky Golden (c) vs Scythe I think Scythe may need a little bit longer before he's ready to take the strap from Rocky (BONUS) Will SWF Nothing To Lose beat USPW Stars, Stripes And Slams? Yes, Golden/Scythe is your big storyline so I'll back it to deliver Comments on diary / last episode:
  25. Key for Predictions: The Dreadnought vs Manny Alvarez [1 Pts] Squishy Squash The Gonzalez Family vs The Oklahomans [1 Pts] The Gonzalez family seem set to feud with The American Cobras, so need a win on debut to establish themselves as a threat Jared Johnson vs Prime Time Jack Pryde [1 Pts] You seemed very keen to bring JJ into LSW, so I can see him getting a decent push Southern Stinger vs Big Smash Clay [1 Pts] The Stinger needs abig win to show off the new look Outlaw Wes Revell vs Kip Keenan [1 Pts] Bounceback win for Kip David Stone, The Heartbreak Express vs The First Impression [1 Pts] Could definitely go the other way, but I'm hoping for some outside shenanigans here... Rob Reynolds (c) vs Davis Wayne Newton in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title Reynolds is the man in this diary Left Shot (c) vs Renegade Bradley Blaze vs James Prudence for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [2 Pts] I think you have a stronger Heel side than Babyfaces at the moment, so moving the title onto Prudence would give you more options at the top of the card
