  1. Key for Predictions: Jake Idol vs Prime Time Jack Pryde [1 Pts] It's Prime Time! The Most Wanted (Walls, Revell, Martin) vs David Stone, James Prudence, Miller Fforde [1 Pts] This goes against my normal rule of going with the named team, but I think James Prudence is the difference maker here Davis Wayne Newton (c) vs Xavi Ferrera in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title [1 Pts] You already have one title change in the Main Event, so I'm going to go for DWN to retain here Dreadnought vs Southern Stinger [1 Pts] I'm going to go for a Stinger win, but with another post match beatdown by Dreadnought Cobra, Texas Hangman (c) vs The Oklahomans for the LSW Tag Team titles [1 Pts] Playing it safe, but I'd like to see the home town boys get the shock win Cali Slick vs Jared Johnson [1 Pts] This would be a big win for JJ and establish him as a top guy in LSW Renegade Bradley Blaze (c) vs Kip Keenan for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts] While it's a shame to see Bradley Blaze go, I echo the comments above - it's been fun to see you book around the setbacks of losing guys.
  2. Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 11 American Machine & Joey Morgan vs Atom Smasher & Brandon James It feels like American Machine is here to eat the pin Bear Bekowski vs Robbie Retro Retro has put in some good performances so far in the diary Demolition (Avalanche & Primus Allen) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger) I like the Dallas Cowboys, but Allen is a future top guy Des Davids vs Steven Parker Building some momentum before he faces Gilmour Main Event: Remo vs Rogue The number one contender, and one of your biggest stars (BONUS) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? I'm going to back Remo to drag Rogue to a strong rating and say Yes Comments on diary / last event:
  3. Predictions for United, Episode 23, Week 2, July 2020 ‘The Breeze’ Joey Beauchamp [vs] J-B Cash Bounce back victory for Beauchamp after last weeks loss Smithie & Misery w/ Emmett Askey [vs] The Bern Boys w/ The Professor Coin Flip, but hopefully a win will cheer Smithie & Misery up ‘Captain Crash’ Cain Carlisle [vs] ??? Always hard to bet against ??? ‘The Bear’ Viktor Beskov [vs] BW Eddie Eddie really feels like he's drawn the short straw in this feud UK Dragon [vs] Grave Digger w/ The Black Hats Time to put over the next generation Apollo Prince [vs] Beast Bantom Prince is the champ, and this would be a big win for him. Could definitely see shenanigans
  4. Thanks @Wrestling Machine! Yeah it's always a fun spot - I've tried to keep weapon usage to a minimum in the diary so far, with only the main Heels stooping down to using them. I feel like it then has more impact when a chair/ladder/table is pulled out. I see The Force as a silly midcard team who add a bit of light hearted fun to the show, but clearly I'm in the minority here! I'm still hopeful I can turn it around, but I might have to admit defeat and cut it earlier than originally planned... Thanks! Frisby is my favourite character in the diary, and it's always easy to hate a snobby elitist group like High Society. Thank you to everybody who commented, predicted and reacted to the latest episode! Another high scoring episode, with @John Lions, @Wrestling Machine and @SomeLazyMagic all achieving perfect scores - which means Wrestling Machine has to keep predicting! 🙂 @Wrestling Machine holds a small lead heading into Cruiserweight World Cup, but both @KyTeran and @SomeLazyMagic are right on his heels! Prediction Results for NWF National Wrestling Episode 36 @John Lions 5/5 @Wrestling Machine 5/5 @SomeLazyMagic 5/5 @newbiezness 4/5 @KyTeran 4/5 @smw88 3/5 @StanMiguel 3/5 @kanegan 2/5 Combined Prediction Results @Wrestling Machine 18/19 @KyTeran 17/19 @SomeLazyMagic 17/19 @smw88 15/19 @newbiezness 15/19 @kanegan 12/15 @John Lions 11/14 @StanMiguel 11/19 @azzak 8/9 Predictions for NWF Cruiserweight World Cup Cruiserweight World Cup Final: Welsh Dragon vs Edison Silva w/ Mo Adebola NWF British Tag Team Titles: Future X vs The Northern Lights (C) w/ Frank Finkleton NWF Cruiserweight Championship: Leighton Buzzard vs JK Lee (C) Jase Cole w/ Christopher Lister vs Lone Wolf If Nate Manchester loses he leaves NWF: Nate Manchester w/ Leo Price vs 'Big Mac' Nathan McKenzie NWF British Heavyweight Championship: (C) 'The Springbok' Landon Mallory vs 'The Celtic Hammer' Stuart Wilson Bonus 1: How many titles will change hands at the event? (maximum of 3) Bonus 2: What will the overall rating of the show be? (two points for spot on, 1 point for 2 either side) Any other comments/questions on the diary:
  5. Thanks @newbiezness! Chuck has been grifting away since day one of this diary, so it's very in character for him! After a quiet few months, Chuck and the Frisby Foundation for Fitness will be taking a much more central role from next month - so fans of his should hopefully enjoy! I'm glad you enjoyed Welsh Dragon/Damian Dastardly - I'm really enjoying Dastardly as an over the top 'cheat for cheatings sake' Heel so far. Van Cleer was only a one off appearance (for now) to really show how seriously Wilson has been training for his title shot. Although with Landon Mallory as one of my top guys, don't fully rule out a return from his main European rival down the line. I'm still hopeful I can turn you around on The Force! Although I may be fighting a losing battle 😅
  6. SWF booker Eric Eisen will make another big announcement! Shows outside the US? Predictions for SWF SUPREME TV EPISODE 10 Paul Huntingdon vs Rogue Huntingdon has had a tough time of it in this diary so far, and I don't see that changing here Lenny Brown vs Scythe Scythe needs to rebuild his aura after a couple of losses Robbie Retro vs Spencer Spade Spade is the future, while Robbie is stuck firmly in the past Atom Smasher vs Joey Morgan This could be a fun feud, but I'm going for Atom Smasher to take the first win Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Title Shot Match Brandon James vs Des Davids vs Remo vs Valiant I think it's Remo's time (BONUS) Will SWF top the weekly TV ratings this week? Looks a strong card, so YES! Comments on diary / last episode:
  7. Key for Predictions: The Heartbreak Express vs The Canadian Blondes [1 Pts] The Blondes vs Cobra & Texas could be a fun dynamic down the line Prime Time Jack Pryde vs Jackpot Jordan [1 Pts] Coin flip, but I prefer Prime Time Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts] Cali is much higher on the card Dreadnought vs Southern Stinger [1 Pts] I feel like Dreadnought wins round one, with Stinger getting his revenge down the line Rob Reynolds vs Al Coleman vs Xavi Ferrera in a No. One Contender’s match [2 Pts] Ferrara has a lot of upside, could be a good opportunity to test him out Cobra, Texas Hangman (c) vs The American Cobras for the LSW Tag Team titles [1 Pts] I think Cobra & Texas are more interesting champs than The American Cobras Renegade Bradley Blaze (c) vs Kip Keenan for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts] Too soon for Blaze to lose after his win in the Rumble
  8. WrestleWorld GB & NWF Present: National Wrestling Episode #36 Wednesday W1 July 2021 Show Rating: 60 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome back to National Wrestling! My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie, we are only four days away from the Cruiserweight World Cup final – and tonight it’s semifinal time!” Jackie Goldstein: “And we’re kicking off the show with the first of those semifinals! Damian Dastardly represents New Zealand against Welsh Dragon!” Welsh Dragon VS ‘The Diabolical’ Damian Dastardly Cruiserweight World Cup Semi Final This was a fantastic opening contest for the evening, drawing the crowd in with its electric pace. Welsh Dragon came out of the gates hot with his lucha inspired moveset, taking control with Arm Drags, Drop Toe Holds, Hurricanranas, and even more Arm Drags! ‘The Diabolical’ one had to go deep into his box of dastardly tricks to turn the tide, a poke to the eye slowed Welsh Dragon down – before Dastardly grabbed the Welshman’s tights and sent his opponent crashing into referee Roy Worrall. With the referee down, Dastardly looked to take full advantage – grabbing a chair from ringside. The New Zealander positioned himself behind Welsh Dragon, who was trying to pull himself back to his feet using the ropes for support. Once Welsh Dragon was back to his feet, Dastardly swung the chair hard at the Welshman’s head… but the former Cruiserweight champion showed his incredible agility by ducking under the shot – causing the chair to rebound off the top rope and strike Dastardly in the head! With his opponent dazed, Welsh Dragon headed to the top rope and hit his Dragon Kick (Spinning Thrust Kick from the top rope) and fell into the cover. Roy Worrall came around just at the right time to make the count, and send Welsh Dragon into the final! Winner: Welsh Dragon Rating: 52 Following the opening contest, the number one contender for the British Heavyweight Championship was out with a microphone in hand to enlighten the crowd on the next phase of his ‘specific training block’. Stuart Wilson: “Last week I wanted to get a feel for the ‘South African spirit’ and try and really get into the mind of my opponent this Sunday… and I have to say, I wasn’t impressed! If Landon Mallory’s spirit is anything like his compatriots, then that British Heavyweight Championship is as good as mine.” The crowd booed the former Olympian, causing him to pause for a moment until they died down. Stuart Wilson: “But I don’t want to leave anything to chance, so I’m going to have one more go at getting inside the mind of Landon Mallory… because my opponent this week has spent the last three years trading the VWA European title back and forth with him. There isn’t a wrestler alive who knows Landon Mallory better than Walker van Cleer!” Rating: 69 Walker van Cleer VS ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson Walker van Cleer may be a new name to British wrestling fans, but the Dutchman can definitely lay claim to being Landon Mallory’s biggest rival in Europe. Given how even their rivalry in Europe has been over the past three years, Mallory may be concerned by how easily Stuart Wilson dispatched of the Dutchman here. The size and power of the former Olympian proved too much for van Cleer to deal with, and Wilson was able to hit his Bronze Bomber (Running Powerslam) to secure an impressive victory. On commentary, Melanie Florence noted that whatever Jackie Goldstein may think of Wilson’s training methods – there was no denying that ‘The Celtic Hammer’ looked ready for Sunday! Winner: Stuart Wilson Rating: 50 We cut to the office of network executive Frank Finkleton, who was in the middle of an argument with personal trainer Chuck Frisby. Frank Finkleton: “Chuck, I’ve had complaints from the board. You can’t be swindling paying customers on a network TV show. It’s not a good look…” Chuck Frisby: “Come on Frank, these people are so stupid that if I wasn’t the one taking their money somebody else would just do it!” Frank Finkleton: “While that might be the case… no more rigged games inside the ring. Anything you want to run going forwards has to be pre-approved by the network.” Chuck Frisby: “But Frank, there’s so much money to be made, and you could take some of that too! You’ve just got to let me… help you… help me get this stuff past the board!” Chuck beamed at Frank Finkleton for a moment, before the network executive told him to get the hell out of his office! Rating: 39 ‘The Prodigy’ Darin Flynn w/ Mark Moore VS Akihro Hisato There was a show of respect between the two competitors, as Flynn and Hisato bowed to each other before the match kicked off. Hisato once again showed that he had inherited his fathers graceful attack style, making the Japanese Cruiserweight great to watch when in full flow. This was a surprisingly even contest, given Darin Flynn’s position in the company – but around the ten minute mark ‘The Prodigy’ was able to lock in his Prodigal Pressure to pick up a hard fought victory. Winner: Darin Flynn Rating: 49 The camera cut to the backstage canteen area, where Bret Heartbreak was sitting with an angry Holly Leves. Holly Leves: “What were you thinking? You’ve never even met the man and you run out to help him? He has blood on his face Bret… blood! He could be a psychopath for all you know!” Bret Heartbreak: “I mean I have been looking for a partner to go after the belts with, and it seemed like a good opportunity…” Holly Leves: “You cannot be serious…” However before Bret Heartbreak can respond, The Force enter shot – having overheard Bret and Holly’s conversation. Jase Cole: “Admirable it was, to try and help. But closed his heart, the Lone Wolf has…” Holly Leves: “Why does he talk like that?” Christopher Lister (Ignoring Holly): “When the Lone Wolf embraced the dark side, he cut himself off from all outside connection. Isolated himself in the darkness, and now he threatens to disturb the balance of the force.” Jase Cole: “At the Cruiserweight World Cup, stop him we must…” Rating: 39 The Youth Bandits (Ian Vincible & Cannonball Logan) VS Lee & O’Hearne This was the first time we had seen The Youth Bandits in the NWF since December, and they were hoping to capatalise on the recent dysfunction between JK Lee and Padraig O’Hearne. In the early stages it looked like The Youth Bandits may get their wish as they were able to use their experience to isolate Padraig O’Hearne in their corner. However once O’Hearne was able to make the tag, The Youth Bandits had no answer for the tenacity and intensity of JK Lee. The Cruiserweight champion was able to lock in his Crossface submission on Cannonball Logan to get the win for his team. After the bell, an irate JK Lee yelled at his partner “That’s how it’s done!” – before storming to the back. Winners: Lee & O’Hearne Rating: 50 We cut backstage to the interview zone, where Dangermouth was stood by with Rachel Dearheart. The grime artist told Rachel that despite his team picking up the win over High Society at ‘For Queen & Country’, High Society still seemed to have no respect for Generation Z…. so Dangermouth told Rached that he wanted Byron 1-on-1 this Sunday! This drew out High Society, as Byron arrogantly told Dangermouth that he was far too busy to attend the PLE on Sunday. Didn’t Dangermouth know that the most prestigious event of the social season was being held this Sunday – AND that High Society had secured themselves an invite? Byron told Dangermouth that he was no longer in their league, before walking out of shot – leaving Dangermouth looking frustrated and deep in thought. Rating: 50 Boos filled the building as the music of The Network blared over the speakers. ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie led The Northern Lights down to the ring – a smug look plastered over his face. Nathan McKenzie: “The time has come to make a decision Nate. Do you want to get your hands on the man who put you on the shelf, or are you going to put your tail between your legs and fall in line like a good little boy?” The Northern Lights chuckled behind Big Mac, as Nat Manchester’s music hit. ‘The Real Angel Of The North’ got a good reaction from the crowd, and showed no fear as he stepped into the ring with The Network. Nate Manchester: “You alreet boys? I’d have thought you’d have wanted to do this man to man, big man?” Big Mac just grinned, as The Northern Lights moved to create a circle around Nate Manchester – and cut off his routes of escape. Nate Manchester: “Well since your pals aren’t goin’ anywhere, I guess I’ll just come out and say that I accept your terms! You and me this Sunday, if I lose I leave the NWF!” There was a muted cheer, with the crowd seemingly torn by Nate’s announcement. Nate Manchester: “But just so you know big man, I won’t be alone on Sunday…” The music of Leo Price blared over the speakers, and the former four time 21CW Tag Team champion got a good reception from the crowd as he appeared from the back alongside his protégé Dangermouth. The pair hit the ring, ducked under the attempted Clotheslines from The Northern Lights – before dumping the British Tag Team champions over the top rope. This left Big Mac alone in the ring with the three babyfaces. Manchester motioned for the Australian to bring it, but Big Mac seemed to decide that with the odds now against him he would head for the safety of the back. Rating: 55 Bali Daljit VS Edison Silva w/ Mo Adebola The Main Event for the evening saw India face England in the second Cruiserweight World Cup Semi Final. Despite Edison Silva being the English representative in the World Cup, the former British Heavyweight Champion was booed throughout by the NWF crowd. This seemed to get in the head of Silva - as after dominating the early portion of the contest, he became distracted by the boos and began mouthing off to the crowd. This proved just enough of a distraction to allow Bali Daljit to recover and catch Silva off guard with a Running Bulldog! Not wasting a moment, the Indian representative scrambled to the top rope and leapt off for his Shooting Star Press – a move he executes with rare grace. Unfortunately for Daljit he connected with nothing but canvas on this occasion, as Silva rolled out of the way at the last moment. A fired up Silva was quickly back to his feet, and delivered a brutal looking Knee Strike KO to a dazed Daljit to secure his place in the final. Winner: Edison Silva Rating: 59 A furious Edison Silva continued the beatdown on Bali Daljit after the bell, drawing out Welsh Dragon to make the save. Silva bailed as the Welshman hit the ring – leading to a staredown between the two men as Silva backpedaled up the ramp and Welsh Dragon stood over his fallen tag team partner. This Sunday it would be Edison Silva vs Welsh Dragon – England vs Wales. Who would come out on top? Rating: 56 Jackie Goldstein: “So it will be a battle of the Home Nations this Sunday as it’s England vs Wales!” Melanie Florence: “I can’t wait Jackie! Edison Silva is going to bring the trophy home for England!” Jackie Goldstein: “Join us this Sunday to find out!”
  9. Next week on Title Bout Wrestling... CGC Tag Team Title Match: Johnny Maverick & Eddie Chandler vs Soldiers of Fortune Would be surprised to see Tylers henchmen dropping the belts this close to WrestleFestival Biff The Bruiser vs Moose Mulder Nelson Blais vs Ed Monton ... plus the CGC Matchmaking Committee vote on the stipulations for the main event of WrestleFestival, and Jake Sloan presents his 900lb team. Why do I get the feeling that Jake Sloan will be using his 900lb to pick a team of six 150lbers? I'm probably way off, but would be a fun dynamic!
  10. You called it @KyTeran! I'm glad everyone has got behind Leighton Buzzard, I've enjoyed how he's grown throughout the diary and I'm glad that seems to have come across! Dastardly has shown he has a number of tricks up his sleeve! Can the babyfaces can bounce back in their Semi Final matches next show? Thank you to everybody who predicted and reacted to the latest show, it really is appreciated! I hope everybody enjoyed the show. Heading into the go home show for the Cruiserweight World Cup PLE, @KyTeranand @Wrestling Machine share the lead with @SomeLazyMagic and @smw88 only one point behind. 12. Great show, really enjoyed the Texan Rumble match! Sets up Bradley Blaze as a weasel heel champ, as well as a number of other feuds. Out of interest where has Left Shot signed?
  13. Predictions for Kingdom, Episode 23, Week 2, July 2020 ‘The Irish Stretching Machine’ Merle O’Curle [vs] ‘Awesome’ Wade Orson I like Merle, but Wade Orson is a Main Event level guy and should win here ‘The Furious Bi-Curious’ Alfonso D’Angelo [vs] Grandmaster Phunk w/ The Booth Bit of a coin flip, but expecting some shenanigans from The Booth here Gorilla Lee w/ The Lee FamiLee [vs] War Machine w/ Cliff King War Machine is heading into his big tiebreaker match at Wicked, so feels like he needs the win here Monkey Business (Kevin Jones & Jeremy Allen) [vs] ???? Monkey Business' time to shine! ‘The Most Dangerous Man in Britain’ BEDLAM [vs] ‘The Bad Seed’ Kelvin Badberry w/ Phil Harmonic & Edison Silva Take what I said about the War Machine match and apply it here ‘Jilted’ Loxley Robbins [vs] ‘D-B-F’ Daniel Black Francis Could see this being a draw with Aussie interference, but I feel like Loxley needs a bone thrown his way after the wedding
  14. WrestleWorld GB & NWF Present: National Wrestling Episode #35 Wednesday W4 June 2021 Show Rating: 62 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome back to National Wrestling! My name is Jackie Goldstein and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! We have a huge night of wrestling ahead of us, with a blockbuster tag team Main Event featuring all four Cruiserweight World Cup semi finalists!” Jackie Goldstein: “Chuck Frisby is back with the second iteration of the Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness physical challenge! He scammed half of the fan base at ‘For Queen & Country’, but what does the personal trainer have in store for our fans tonight?” Melanie Florence: “But before all of that, Leighton Buzzard has an opportunity to earn a Cruiserweight title shot as he faces Padraig O’Hearne…” Leighton Buzzard VS Padraig O’Hearne The crowd were firmly on the side of Leighton Buzzard tonight. The fanbase has warmed to Buzzard in recent months, following the formation of The British Bangers and then having his spot in the Cruiserweight World Cup stolen away from him by Edison Silva & Mo Adebola. Padraig O’Hearne seemed incredibly focused in this match, perhaps wanting to impress tag team partner JK Lee after their recent wobble, and the Irishman made the most of his size advantage to take control. It was a classic little vs large match up, with Leighton Buzzard having flurries of offence before continually being shut down by his larger opponent. O’Hearne looked to have the match in hand as he went for his Crowning Glory (a Swinging Fishermans Neckbreaker), but Buzzard was able to swing through with the momentum and surprise the Irishman with a flash rollup. Caught off guard, O’Hearne was only able to get his shoulder up just after referee Roy Worrall counted the three – handing Leighton Buzzard the win out of nowhere, securing a Cruiserweight Title Shot at the ‘Cruiserweight World Cup’ PLE. Rating: 55 Next up, Stuart Wilson was out for the next stage of his ‘specific training block’ ahead of challenging Landon Mallory for the British Heavyweight Championship. Stuart Wilson: “Last week’s sparring partner was aboot physical characteristics, but this week ah want to get into Landon Mallory’s head… and what better way to do that than face a man who shared a similar upbringing? A man who was also born in a South African township, and also abandoned his homeland for bigger opportunities in Europe in his early twenties. Ah want to get a sense of that famous South African spirit… so let me introduce yah to mah sparring partner for the evening – Rohan Kirchner.” Rating: 70 Rohan Kirchner VS ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson This proved to be a real squash match, as Stuart Wilson dominated from start to finish – hitting his Bronze Bomber (Running Powerslam) around the six-minute mark for the victory. The Olympic Bronze medalist looked down at his beaten opponent, clearly unimpressed with the so-called ‘South African spirit’. Winner: Stuart Wilson Rating: 49 The Force were out next, and repeated their challenge from last weeks show. The lights dropped for a moment, and when they came back up the mysterious figure was stood alone in the middle of the ring. Jase Cole asked the mysterious figure where his partner was, and the man simply replied that he was a ‘Lone Wolf’ and worked alone. The Force began to discuss which of them would face the ‘Lone Wolf’, when Bret Heartbreak’s music played over the speakers. Bret Heartbreak ran down and announced that he wouldn’t allow this to be a handicap match, and that he would even the odds. Lone Wolf did not look happy to see Bret, but referee Roy Worrall seemed satisfied and called for the bell. Rating: 42 The Force (Jase Cole & Christopher Lister) VS Lone Wolf & Bret Heartbreak Unfortunately for Bret Heartbreak, Lone Wolf lived up to his name and the moment the bell rang the lights cut out – and when they came back up, Bret found himself all alone in the ring. Unfortunately for Bret, this left him two-on-one against The Force and Jase Cole was able to put the youngster away with a Sky High (Springboard Cross Body). Despite picking up the victory, both members of The Force looked trouble after the match. Winners: The Force (Jase Cole & Christopher Lister) Rating: 50 The camera cut to the offices of Moore’s Sports Agency, where Mark Moore and Darin Flynn were deep in conversation with Akihiro Hisato – who had represented Japan at the Cruiserweight World Cup. Darin Flynn talked about his love of the Japanese style, and how he had watched all of the tapes of Akihiro Hisato’s father – The Great Hisato’s run as BHOTWG Junior Heavyweight Champion back in the 90’s. Akihiro Hisato nodded along politely, but given his lack of English it was anyone’s guess how much he had understood. Flynn finished by asking Akihiro for a match next week on National Wrestling, which the Japanese wrestler agreed to. Rating: 32 We cut back to the ring to find Chuck Frisby & Dwayne Dark standing by for this weeks’ Frisby Foundation for Fitness physical challenge! Chuck Frisby was stood next to what looked like a regular Tricep Dip bar with a microphone in hand. Chuck Frisby: “Roll up, roll up for the latest Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness physical challenge! Now I know a few of you were unhappy at having to use a different bar to Dwayne in the last challenge – so this time we are keep things simple! One dip bar – a £10 buy in and if anyone can complete more reps than Dwayne they will win our grand price of £1000!” A few takers began to get into the ring – less than for the Pull Up challenge at ‘For Queen & Country, but it was a smaller crowd. Once Chuck had safely pocketed all of the entry fees he explained that Dwayne would be completing his set last, and the punters would have to set him a score to beat. The first punter stepped forward, but his hands immediately slipped off the bars. He tried again, but could only complete one rep before his hands once again slipped off. Looking disgruntled, he walked away before the second punter stepped up and assessed the dip bars. He yelled out that the bars had been greased, and a discontented murmur made its way down the line. Chuck Frisby: “Let me remind you that EVERYONE will be using the same bar, so conditions are equal for all competitors…” The crowd still didn’t look happy, but slowly the punters stepped up and took their turn. Because of the greasy bar, the highest score from any of the punters was only three reps. Then it was time for Dwayne Dark to step up, and the National School of Wrestling graduate caused outrage amongst the crowd as he pulled out a pair of a pair of weightlifting straps and wrapped them around the greasy bar. With the extra grip from the straps, Dark was able to breeze past the three rep target and stop any of the angry punters from taking home the prize. Chuck Frisby: “Thank you everybody for taking part, but unfortunately nobody goes home with the money today. Be sure to join us again for the next Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness physical challenge! Because my name is Chuck Frisby, and I’m here to tackle England’s obesity crisis – one physical challenge at a time!” Boos rained down on the personal trainer as he hurried to the back, cowering behind Dwayne Dark for protection from the angry crowd. Rating: 49 Future X (Petey Barnes & Eric Future) VS XS & Aurelian Bradley This match served as an opportunity for Future X to sharpen up ahead of their British Tag Team title match at the Cruiserweight World Cup PLE, and another opportunity for XS & Aurelian Bradley to get some more experience as a team. The young duo once again showed a natural chemistry in the ring, and they put in a competitive performance against the former British Tag Team champions. However the experience of Future X eventually showed through, as the number one contenders hit their Future Shock DDT (Aided Double Arm DDT) to pick up a momentum boosting win heading into their rematch with The Northern Lights. Winners: Future X (Petey Barnes & Eric Future) Rating: 50 The camera cut backstage to find Nate Manchester and Leo Price mid-conversation. Nate Manchester: “I canny leave it man. I’ve beaten him before, I’ll do it again.” Leo Price: “Don’t be reckless Nate, we need you around here!” Nate Manchester: “I can beat him Leo! And if his lackeys show up, I’ll deal with them too!” Leo Price: “I’ve known you long enough to know when you’re minds made up… but if I can’t talk you out of it, at least let me help you…” At this point, the pair seemed to notice the camera and moved their chat to somewhere more private. Rating: 58 Astro VS Brilliant White This was a big opportunity for Astro to make his mark in the NWF, having come up short in his Cruiserweight World Cup Quarter Final against Damian Dastardly. Brilliant White made his usual spectacular entrance – appearing in a flash of (brilliant) white light. Brilliant White’s showmanship continued throughout this highflying contest, with the daredevil throwing himself off all corners of the ring before hitting his White Out (Swanton Bomb) to secure the win. Winner: Brilliant White Rating: 42 We cut to a pre-recorded video filmed in a tailors shop on Saville Row. The tailor was taking Joey Beauchamp’s measurements, while Byron and Dylan Drama sipped on champagne in the waiting area. Byron: “Boys, we all know that this Sunday is the biggest event of the social season! We’ve been working for months to break into the elite circles, and thanks to Dylan’s father securing us an invite we finally have our chance. Joey - this may be our only shot at this, so everything has to go perfect… can I count on you?” The tailor finished taking his measurements, and Joey Beauchamp admired himself in the mirror. Joey Beauchamp: “I am cool, I am the breeze.” Rating: 55 Grace Of Fire (Welsh Dragon & Bali Daljit) VS Damian Dastardly & Edison Silva w/ Mo Adebola Our Main Event for the evening saw the four Cruiserweight World Cup Semi Finalists taking part in tag team action. Welsh Dragon & Bali Daljit showed great chemistry as a team, and they needed to in order to combat the constant underhand tactics on show from both Damian Dastardly in the ring and Mo Adebola at ringside. The chemistry between Welsh Dragon and Bali Daljit saw the pair utilise frequent tags to keep their opponents off balance, which gave the babyfaces good success early in the contest. However this came to a stop as Edison Silva was able to halt Bali Daljit’s momentum with a hard Elbow to the temple. Silva and Dastardly were able to isolate Daljit in their corner for nearly five minutes, until Daljit was able to reverse a Silva Suplex attempt to turn the momentum. Daljit slowly began crawling to his corner, where a fired up Welsh Dragon was waiting for the hot tag. Daljit was within touching distance when he dived for his partner… only for Welsh Dragon to disappear from the apron! The camera cut to a new angle, to show Damian Dastardly (the non-legal man) had pulled Welsh Dragon clean from the Apron down to the floor below. Bali Daljit looked distraught as he realised what had happened, with Damian Dastardly tapping his temple to show that he had outsmarted the babyfaces. With Welsh Dragon out of action on the floor, Bali turned back to the ring… right into a Knee Strike KO from Edison Silva. The former British Heavyweight Champion made the cover, and there was no kicking out from that! Winners: Edison Silva & Damian Dastardly Rating: 59 Jackie Goldstein: “You need eyes in the back of your head against these two, if it’s not Mo Adebola screwing you out of the match it’s Damian Dastardly!” Melanie Florence: “Whether you like it or not Jackie, that is a huge momentum boost ahead of next weeks Semi Finals! Welsh Dragon and Bali Daljit are going to have to smarten up if they want to get past this pair…”

  18. Glad you're enjoying Stuart Wilson! I needed something to latch onto for his character, and I'm quite enjoying this slightly left field presentation. I think it links quite well with his Olympic training history, and gives him a bit more reason to purchase Olympia - more than just to piss of Chuck that is! I wanted Victor to be all mouth and no trousers, so I'm glad you both picked up on that!
  19. LSW's core product is Classic Southern Rasslin, an old school approach that focuses on in-ring psychology and the logic of the protagonists' actions. Do you find this premise in reading the shows I'm not completely familiar with Classic Southern Rasslin in real life, but I would say the focus on in-ring psychology is there. I think in the early stages there was a period where the top title moved around a lot, which I don't believe would fit this style but that's a minor quibble. What do you think of the rivalries featured in LSW? Do you find them logical and easily understandable? Do you think they are too simple? I think the storylines have been logical for the most part. In these first two years, which rivalry or story did you like the most? The Most Wanted/Joffy Laine comes to mind first As the months and years go by, do you find it difficult to keep up with what is happening in LSW? I have struggled with who is face and who is Heel at times, but that's probably just my bad memory Who do you think has been the most interesting wrestler/tag team in this diary so far? Rayne Man's transformation into Southern Stinger has been fun Who do you think has been the least interesting wrestler/tag team so far? The American Cobras have always felt a bit out of place throughout imo What do you think about the length of events cards Previews? Would you prefer really short previews? I like the event previews, I was considering stealing it 🙃 It also helps refresh the memory ahead What do you think about the length of the Shows? I think the show length is fine Is there anything in particular that you would like to see in LSW? Do you have any extra advice? Nothing immediately springs to mind. Maybe fleshing out some of your undercard guys, but appreciate that can be hard to do in a wrestling first product From 1 to 5 what grade would you give this diary so far? 4
  20. WrestleWorld GB & NWF present: National Wrestling Episode #34 Wednesday W3 June 2021 Show Rating: 58 Your Announce Team: Jackie Goldstein & Melanie Florence Jackie Goldstein: “Hello and welcome to National Wrestling, where tonight the Cruiserweight World Cup continues with two more Quarter Final matches! My name is Jackie Goldstein, and joining me at ringside is Melanie Florence.” Melanie Florence: “Thanks Jackie! I can’t wait to see Damian Dastardly in action later tonight – he’s travelled half away around the world to be here tonight, and arrives with a huge reputation! He’s got to be one of the favourites to win the whole tournament!” Jackie Goldstein: “Stuart Wilson will also be in action tonight, as he faces a hand selected opponent in tonights Main Event – as he says his ‘specific training’ block begins tonight!” Melanie Florence: “But before all of that, we open the show with the British Tag Team champions in action!” Team Chaos (Neville Jones & Norman Gates) VS The Northern Lights (Alton Vicious & Riddick Jordan) This match served as an opportunity for the British Tag Team champions to remind the rest of the tag division what a dominant force they are. There was little Team Chaos could do to resist the power and intensity of their opponents, as Riddick Jordan wowed the crowd with his impressive Diving Headbutt from the top rope – before The Northern Lights hit their Lights Up (Doomsday Device) on Norman Gates to secure a dominant victory. Winners: The Northern Lights (Alton Vicious & Riddick Jordan) Rating: 48 We cut to a pre-recorded segment showing Chuck Frisby and Dwayne Dark sat in a busy café drinking cups of tea. After a tough couple of months, Chuck Frisby seemed to have all of his old energy back and was talking at a million miles an hour. Chuck Frisby: “I’m telling you Dwayne it was perfect, we made over £1000 from those suckers! Now we’ve just got to do it again… they won’t fall for the same trick twice, but I’ve got just the idea. You stick with me Dwayne, and we’ll be alright…” The Frisby’s Foundation for Fitness physical challenge returns to National Wrestling next week, but what does Chuck have in store for us this time? Rating: 44 Astro VS ‘The Diabolical’ Damian Dastardly Cruiserweight World Cup Quarter Final Melanie Florence hyped Damian Dastardly up on commentary, but comparatively little was known about his Mexican opponent. The young luchador caught Dastardly off guard in the early goings with his speed and agility, but the Kiwi used all of his dastardly cunning to work his way back into the match. A poke to the eye slowed Astro down, before Dastardly moved to the corner to remove a turnbuckle cover. This was right in the sight of referee Roy Worrall, who immediately went to reattach the cover – but it had all been a ruse! While the referee’s back was turned, Dastardly took the opportunity to deliver a Low Blow that riled up the crowd! With the wind completely taken out of Astro’s sails, the Kiwi was able to hit his Dastardly Cunning (Cross-Rhodes) to secure his spot in the Semi-Finals. Winner: Damian Dastardly Rating: 45 We had just seen Damian Dastardly lie, cheat and steal his way into the Semi Finals, and next we had another Cruiserweight World Cup Semi Finalist making their way to the ring – England’s reluctant representative in the tournament Edison Silva, joined as always by his legal advisor Mo Adebola. Mo Adebola: “Last week the NWF lawyers made it very clear that my client had no choice but to wrestle in the Cruiserweight World Cup under the English flag. We are out here tonight, because Edison wanted to make it very clear that while he would be wrestling under the English banner – he would not be competing in the name of the English public, and he would not be competing in the name of any of YOU!” Boos rained down from around the arena, which incensed Mo Adebola even more. Mo Adebola: “You will respect my client! And what’s more…” However before Mo Adebola can launch into his rant, he is cut off by the music of Darin Flynn. Adebola seems as confused as anybody as to why ‘The Prodigy’ had interrupted. Darin Flynn: “You want to talk about respect after what your client did in the Main Event last week? Japanese wrestling has a long and storied history based on respect, which your client trampled all over last week by trying to remove Akihiro Hisato’s mask. You know, his father…” Mo Adebola: “Stop, stop, stop. Did you come out here just to give us a Japanese wrestling history lesson? We don’t have time for this!” Darin Flynn: “Well if you don’t want a verbal lesson, maybe I can teach your client a lesson in the ring later tonight?” The crowd popped at the prospect of two of the best in-ring talents in the NWF facing off, but Mo Adebola shook his head. Mo Adebola: “My client is far too busy with his Cruiserweight World Cup commitments. He is the host countries participant after all, and that comes with certain responsibilities – he can’t risk getting injured mid-tournament in a nothing match against some Japanese wrestling fan boy.” With that Adebola led his client to the back, as they were showered by boos from the crowd. Rating: 69 Next up, the duo of Jase Cole and Christopher Lister made their way to the ring. The pair arrived in the NWF just over a month ago, having both sensed a disturbance in The Force. At ‘For Queen & Country’ the source of this disturbance finally showed himself – costing Jase Cole in his Cruiserweight title match against JK Lee. Christopher Lister: “We may not know who you are, but we know what you are! It’s been a long time since we’ve faced someone trained in the ways of the dark side…” Jase Cole: “Balance there must be, so avoid conflict we cannot.” Christopher Lister: “So we’re challenging you to a tag team match next week on National Wrestling! We will find out who is stronger with The Force!” The pair waited for a response, and while the lights in the arena flickered – the mysterious figure did not appear. Rating: 44 The Foundation w/ Mark Moore VS XS & Aurelian Bradley Tag Team action next, with The Foundation back in action for the first time since coming up short against The Northern Lights at ‘For Queen & Country’. They were up against the young duo of XS & Aurelian Bradley who, while still inexperienced, had shown great chemistry in their few outings as a team. Despite this chemistry, the experience of The Foundation proved too much for the young pairing - as Sharp & Heath hit their Disarmer on Aurelian Bradley to pick up the victory. Winners: The Foundation (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) Rating: 48 The theme of the British Bangers blared over the speakers to a surprisingly good reaction from the crowd, Leighton Buzzard bounded out from the back with his usual high energy – high fiving the front row on his way down to the ring. Leighton Buzzard: “Two weeks ago should have been the highlight of my career so far. I had just beaten Brilliant White in the final of the qualification tournament to represent England at the Cruiserweight World Cup. I was celebrating with all of you in this ring, when Mo Adebola and Edison Silva came out to ruin everything.” The crowd booed at the mere mention of Edison Silva and Mo Adebola. Leighton Buzzard: “We all know what happened next. Mo Adebola grabbed my ankle in the middle of our banger at ‘For Queen & Country’ to stop me taking my rightful spot in the Cruiserweight World Cup, before Edison Silva sunk to new lows last week against Akihiro Hisato!” Leighton Buzzard took a short pause, having seemingly worked himself up with his high energy delivery. Leighton Buzzard: “But I’m not out here to talk about Edison Silva. I’m out here because I am done being walked all over. Frank Finkleton talks to me like I’m a joke, like The British Bangers are a joke… and I’m not going to take it anymore! I know I can’t get back into the Cruiserweight World Cup and I know that Future X have the British Tag Title shot at ‘For Queen & Country’, but there is one title shot still open… so… JK Lee, I’m calling you out!” The crowd were firmly behind Leighton Buzzard, and it wasn’t long before the Cruiserweight champion appeared from the back – joined by his tag team partner Padraig O’Hearne, and it was the Irishman who responded to Leighton Buzzard’s challenge. Padraig O’Hearne: “Let me get this right wee man, you think that you can click yer fingers and you get a shot at JK’s belt? Well I’m here to tell yer that things don’t work like that around here. You want to get to JK, you got to go through me!” JK Lee looked as surprised as Leighton Buzzard at this announcement. He tried to get his tag partners attention, but the Irishman shrugged him off. Padraig O’Hearne: “So what do ya say fella?” Leighton Buzzard: “Oh you’re on! And it’s going to be a BANGER!” Leighton Buzzard dropped his microphone and left the ring, high fiving fans on his way to the back – leaving a frustrated JK Lee asking Padraig O’Hearne what he thought he was playing at. The Irishman tried to placate the Cruiserweight champion, promising that he had this under control. Rating: 35 Welsh Dragon VS Victor Jimenez Cruiserweight World Cup Quarter Final Victor Jimenez grabbed a microphone before the match began, and promised to give Welsh Dragon a lesson of what true lucha libre looked like! However unfortunately for Jimenez his opponent showed a mastery of the style, as Welsh Dragon able to block the Spaniards attempted Arm Drags, roll through his Drop Toe Holds, stay out of range of his Hurricanranas, and finally perform a perfect reversal when Jimenez went back to his Arm Drags. Incredibly frustrated, Jimenez became sloppy and opened the door for Welsh Dragon. The Welshman didn’t need a second invitation, and was quickly able to take control of the contest and deliver his Dragon Kick (Spinning Thrust Kick from the top rope) to knock the Spaniard out of the tournament. Winner: Welsh Dragon Rating: 36 Boos rained down on ‘Big Mac’ Nathan McKenzie, as the big Australian made his way to the ring. Appearing for the first time since Nate Manchester returned to stop The Northern Lights interfering on McKenzie’s behalf in the Main Event at ‘For Queen & Country’, the Australian said he had heard Nate Manchester and Leo Price talking last week and told Nate that if he knew what was good for him he would listen to Price’s advice. This inevitably drew Nate Manchester out to the ring, with the Geordie telling Big Mac that he’d thought long and hard about it, and he couldn’t let it lie – issuing a challenge for the ‘Cruiserweight World Cup’ PLE. Nathan McKenzie: “Crikey mate, look at ya - you’ve got muscles like a chickens insteps! I could snap you like a toothpick.” Nate Manchester: “Alreet pal, very funny. But last time I checked, I beat you!” Nathan McKenzie: “And remind me where you’ve been the last three months since that victory…” This seemed to strike a nerve with Nate Manchester, who rocked Big Mac with a Roundhouse Kick. Before he could follow it up however, he was swamped by The Northern Lights - who had appeared from the back. Big Mac quickly recovered, and The Northern Lights set Manchester up for a huge Spear from the Australian. Big Mac picked the microphone back up from the canvas as The Northern Lights lifted Nate Manchester’s face up off the mat. Nathan McKenzie: “Look mate, things have changed since you were last here. The Network’s in charge now, which means I don’t have to face anybody I don’t want to face. And I am done with you.” Nate Manchester struggled against the grip of The Northern Lights and yelled at Big Mac that he wasn’t done with him. Nathan McKenzie (laughing): “You know what mate, it might be fun to snap you in half… but if you want the match, you’ve got to make it worth my while. If you lose – you leave the NWF for good!” Nate Manchester stopped struggling for a moment and looked conflicted. Nathan McKenzie just grinned. Nathan McKenzie: “No dramas, take your time. You’ve just got to ask yourself how much you want it…” Rating: 56 Next up was the Main Event for the evening, with number one contender Stuart Wilson facing off against a mystery opponent of his choosing. The former Olympian was out first, and grabbed a microphone from ringside to address the crowd. Stuart Wilson: “Ah told everyone last week that my training was about to get specific, and youse aboot to find out just how specific! Olympic boxers and wrestlers often practice sparring with partners of similar build to their upcoming opponent. So ah’ve been speaking to the NWF medical team, and ah asked them - who on the roster was the closest physical match to the British Heavyweight Champion. And they told me, there was a man almost identical. This man is 6’3 tall, Landon Mallory is 6’3 tall. This man is 260lb, Landon Mallory is 260lb. So without further ado, let me introduce ya all to mah sparring partner for the evening – Evan Alpass!” Rating: 67 Evan Alpass VS ‘The Celtic Hammer’ Stuart Wilson On commentary Jackie Goldstein questioned the validity of Stuart Wilson’s training philosophy. While Evan Alpass shared an almost identical height and weight to the British Heavyweight Champion, the pair wrestled very different styles in the ring. However, it soon became clear that this match was a fact-finding mission for the former Olympic Bronze medalist. Wilson offered a test of strength at the opening bell, which ‘The Celtic Hammer’ was able to easily win and take control of the contest. He next tested if his Big Boot would hit it’s mark on the 6’3 Alpass – head shot! The final test was whether the Olympic Bronze medalist could lift the 260 pounder overhead for a Gorilla Press Slam, which he managed with ease. Seemingly happy with his findings, Wilson hoisted Alpass onto his shoulder to deliver his Bronze Bomber (Running Powerslam) to secure the victory. Winner: Stuart Wilson Rating: 53 Melanie Florence: “Stuart Wilson secures the victory, but perhaps more importantly collects valuable data ahead of his match with Landon Mallory…” Jackie Goldstein: “I’m still not convinced…” Melanie Florence: “Wilson won an Olympic Bronze by focusing on this kind of minute detail, who are you to question his methods?” Jackie Goldstein: “I dunno, it just all feels like he’s overcomplicating it? Time will tell! Thank you all for joining us, and be sure to join us next week as Chuck Frisby is in the building and Leighton Buzzard challenges Padraig O’Hearne to earn a shot at the Cruiserweight Title! See you then!”
  21. Predictions for AWESOME IMPACT 2020 Remo vs Rogue vs Valiant Rogue's had some big wins throughout the diary so far - the Scythe victory in particular comes to mind, and this win could set him up nicely as the next challenger for Rocky Joey Morgan vs Randy Unleashed Randy Unleashed can get really good, really quickly. I saw strap a rocket to him! SWF World Tag Team Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs Fame & Glory (Paul Huntingdon & Monty Trescarde) Can't see the Hawaiin's dropping the belts first defence Submission Match Angry Gilmore vs The Crippler Should be a great match, playing to both mens strengths. I think The Crippler is a little bland after dropping his Lobster Warrior gimmick, so going for Gilmore The Awesomeness (Jefferson Stardust & Huey Cannonball) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger) The Awesomeness are awesome Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight Rocky Golden (c) vs Brandon James Rocky is your figurehead, and I think a younger Heel would benefit more from taking the title off him (BONUS) Will SWF Awesome Impact beat USPW Red, White And Blue? No - I would love to be wrong, but I feel Brandon James is a little old in the tooth to be pulling out top ratings
  22. Next time on Title Bout Wrestling... CGC World Title Match: Jack DeColt vs Steve DeColt Should be a great match. I'm going for Jack to win, as his loss last week feels like a set up for him to learn and overcome those shortcomings when it matters the most at WrestleFestival. Hollywood Johnny Maverick vs Eddie Chandler Bit of a coin flip, but Maverick is probably slightly more established. John McClean vs Battering Lamb McClean's primary issues seem to be with Black Sheep, and Lamb has just gained a lot of weight - so expecting John to clean up here.

  24. Red Dragon was one of the victims of a predictor prize to release 3x workers from the roster. I did consider going for a 1-on-1 vs Welsh Dragon, but they had negative chemistry - which bombed their first 'passing the torch' match. That's why I went for the four way, with the justification that all of the young Welsh workers would want to work with the biggest Welsh wrestling name in the C-Verse (I believe) in his (potential) final UK match. Thank you to everyone who predicted, commented and reacted to the latest episode! A tough episode to predict, with only two perfect scores from KyTeran and Wrestling Machine. Hope everyone enjoyed the start of the Cruiserweight World Cup, and hope to see everyone back next episode! 25. Red Dragon parts ways with NWF It was confirmed last night that Red Dragon had parted ways with the National Wrestling Federation (NWF) following the expiry of his contract. Signing a six month deal in December, the former 21st Century World Champion’s leaves the company on good terms. The proud Welshman’s final match came in a four-way match to establish the countries entrant into the NWF’s Cruiserweight World Cup. Likely to be his final match in the UK, Red Dragon stated that he was thankful that his final appearance had been working with young Welsh talents such as Welsh Dragon, Aurelian Bradley and Neville Jones. The veteran stated that the future of Welsh wrestling was in good hands. While Red Dragon’s UK obligations have wrapped up, he will continue to work in Europe for United European Wrestling (UEW) where the Welshman has worked since 2010. Dylan Drama legit injured at ‘For Queen & Country’ Reports out of the NWF are that the facial injury suffered by Dylan Drama at ‘For Queen & Country’ is legit. Drama appeared on this weeks episode of National Wrestling wearing a face mask, with Byron stating that the youngster had suffered a Fractured Cheekbone at the hands of new signing Evan Alpass. It is expected that Dylan Drama will take a few weeks off for his cheek to heal before returning to in-ring action.
