  1. Depending on the company you run, it might simply not be advantageous to use a 25 year old with 42 basics even if she has the potential to attain (much) more. Remember that the fastest way to improve is wrestling matches, especially against wrestlers with higher skills than them (increased further by traits and the better wrestler's experience level), if you're a small time company that can only run a single card a month, don't expect anybody on your card to make huge strides unless they're working at least 4 dates a month through other companies. Even then it's a case of hoping they have the talent to improve, and reach 65 basics in any decent time... A +23 improvement might take quite a few years if they have limited opportunities. Shouldn't stop you from signing them, mind, it's always good to have young talent on hand. But it can be more advantageous for a small timer to simply take the best that's available at any given time, and use talent at the level they're at. At least until you hit the level where you start getting TV deals and you get the financials in place to contract a kid and get them working house shows and as many shows in a month. I speak from personal experience because i'm like a magpie whenever I see an interesting looking youngster with potential in spades, and I end up signing every single one of them for my small company... Then realize that their true value long-term is purely midcard/jobbers because they don't have the skills to push ratings. But hey, at least they're cheap as dirt and that helps manage costs vs. the handful of aces you got putting on main events. You got the right idea, if you're going largely workrate product... Star Quality: Over 66+ Adds a small buff to match ratings. Psychology: Higher is better Experience: Higher is better (high experience negates other in ring penalties like exhaustion) Basics: 40+ is good enough, according to the in-game manual there's no difference above 40. Selling: 40+ for no penalties, 75+ for bonuses. Consistency: Higher means less chance of bad nights. Safety: Higher is better, less botches. Stamina: If you're work-rate, you want this to be as high as possible. Better stamina doesn't just allow for longer matches, but wrestlers to also go 'all out' longer. Athleticism: Affects worker performance Overness: Regardless of product, overness always has an effect on a match rating. A popular draw will always make for hotter matches even if they're worse than an unknown. Honestly, there's a huge overlap between perf and pop. It's just that the more perf you go the less overness matters, and the more pop you go the less skills matter. But in the end, both products require the same skills in the end to calculate matches and scores, just to different degrees.
  2. I think if you go into free pictures, you need to make sure there are no free pictures that have "Use Once: No", Some mods have genericized silhouettes that can/will be reused indefinitely, which means that genned wrestlers show up and get these silhouettes assigned to them. You could also change their parameters so they get only assigned to referees/commentators/etc. to ensure that the game can always generate some of those if it sees a need for them. If there are no available free pictures to use, iirc the game shouldn't generate any new workers. Edit: Secondly, I can advise you to re-enable regeneration, though. Whilst it might look hokey to have Old McFart as a 21yo rookie, it does keep the database flowing longer with retired wrestlers getting regenerated.
  3. Yeah, the Dirty Doctor is specifically to help them attain illicit substances to improve their performances. (Roids for the body, pills to work through injuries)
  4. Hot prospects are workers that have a high difference between current attributes and potential attributes. (I.e. can grow a significant amount: either naturally, through development, or via match experience)
  5. How much will pre/post-show matches affect a wrestler's fortunes in terms of momentum? If I put a hossy boi on pre-shows to lose to experienced vets, will that ruin his momentum in the long term?
  6. Anyone got an alt for a heel Scott Nicholls who turned heel on Nick and the rest of the fam? Thinking about the suit + sunglasses look of somebody who isn't prepared to share the spotlight OR the GBWF title with anyone.
  7. Should be perfectly playable on a Surface Pro 8 since it runs the same Windows 10 (or 11 if you've upgraded) that runs on laptops and computers. Depending on the resolution of the screen, you might have a little bit of an easier time changing the display scaling on Windows itself to give yourself a bigger screen (since sadly TEW doesn't natively support changing the game's resolution). Touchscreen should work as well as mouse, except any drag/drop actions might be a little hindered. Just a case of trying it out and seeing if it works. But on a hardware level the Surface should have no issues running TEW.
  8. <p>Sorry for the double post, but quick question.</p><p> </p><p> Is there a way to disable the 'faceless' gens from showing up in the game and only having regens keep the database stable? Or are gens required to keep the T-Verse stable over the long term?</p>

Additionally, the DLC is available as a standalone data set for ease of importing into existing saves - there has been one worker slightly renamed (Jarko Pukki to Jarkko Pukki) in the full version which means you'd end up with a duplicate there if you were to import directly from TVerse+.</p><p> </p><p> Enough waffling from me though, links below. I'll maybe post a list of the workers itself but it's 85 names long and that's too much effort for me. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Thunderverse 1.5</strong> - <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/17nJQm49YO1b7sk0vrlj6XLU70fmGEUIF/view?usp=sharing" rel="external nofollow">https://drive.google.com/file/d/17nJQm49YO1b7sk0vrlj6XLU70fmGEUIF/view?usp=sharing</a></p><p> <strong>ThunderversePlus 1.0</strong> - <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/11qUutj42IPoxw2gkhSoN4y_67d9OOUq3/view?usp=sharing" rel="external nofollow">https://drive.google.com/file/d/11qUutj42IPoxw2gkhSoN4y_67d9OOUq3/view?usp=sharing</a></p><p> <strong>Standalone DLC</strong> - <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LfPIwSvQT1Dvo7roDJzIHHcXmi3QkC-R/view?usp=sharing" rel="external nofollow">https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LfPIwSvQT1Dvo7roDJzIHHcXmi3QkC-R/view?usp=sharing</a></p><p> <strong>People</strong> (This adds the new renders and are all named to slot right into working with the DLC) - <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-K4kX3dYiDip3cyhb6aWFxMUIu7IWgX6/view?usp=sharing" rel="external nofollow">https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-K4kX3dYiDip3cyhb6aWFxMUIu7IWgX6/view?usp=sharing</a></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's a festivus miracle!</p>
  10. Two requestions: - A retired Realm wearing a suit and having 'ordinary' hair to go with his new job as a colour commentator for GWS. He doesn't have to use 50 gallons of hair product anymore before every show. - Is there a catch-all place to find unused alts, i'm a year in and the database has made a lot of faceless newbies which are weird to look at. I know previous games allowed you to disable this, but I haven't found how thus far.

(You obviously can in the database editor)</p>
  12. Fair enough, hadn't thought of that... Secondary question, can a worker start sandbagging in a match if they've indicated they don't want to take a loss, or would they still put on a normal match based on their skills?
  13. If you hire a local worker, can they refuse to take losses like people on your roster? I want to hire a few popular outsiders to put over my own talent, but I don't want to pay them only for them to refuse the booking or throw up a massive stink about it.
  14. I want to start a tag team only company. But I am wondering what would happen to member #1 of the team if member #2 got injured. Would Member #1 get angry for not getting booked until his teammate gets back? Or is there a setting or a way to prevent this situation?
  15. <p>In general I feel that if they're good enough, then they're young enough... But like Sco mentioned, A figurehead that is late 30s early 40s might not be the most prudent thing to do for the long term.</p><p> </p><p> It takes a good year to establish a figurehead and have him give any sort of effect on the company. So they're going to be a year older, then the longer they are the figurehead the better buffs you get, and time doesn't stand still so they'll only get older and older.</p><p> </p><p> Not that an older figurehead can't work, they could work perfectly well. But you never really know when time decline is going to hit, and if you're particularly unfortunate it can hit after a year or two and you're going to be stuck with a figurehead who'se in ring performance will steady get worse and worse, when you want him to be a stable force, a guarantee of good ratings.</p><p> </p><p> If you have a future star lined up who is half a decade away from making a mark, then an older figurehead could work for the time being. But as the game says, not using a figurehead doesn't give you penalties, so you can always run without one until a young gun gets good enough to carry the company for the next 10 years.</p><p> </p><p> Also remember that whilst you can make that old guy a figurehead, removing them as figurehead at a future date will severely hurt his happiness and possibly create a negative relationship with you the booker/owner, so be prepared to burn a bridge or spend a lot of cash when you take away the figurehead status.</p>
  16. I know that in the old games(?) it was 5 minutes minimum for workers to improve, and I haven't really bothered checking if less works too nowadays.
  17. If anything it should lower the income compared to staging two seperate events. Because the PPV crowd will be the same crowd for the TV Show, so you will only get one gate income rather than two.
  18. As the thread title implies, the question is a simple one, or maybe not a simple one. Basically, what are the criteria for people to pick their champions, and potentially to stick with them for multiple years as i've seen in many posts over the years where some workers have held titles for 3-4-5+ years as unstoppable forces. Beyond the basic criteria for say a world champ in having to be over enough, how does everyone go about picking who to make your champ, but also who to keep champ for longer periods, or maybe why they get pushed aside after a shorter reign? I assume there are many different styles for many different bookers, some probably love to hot shot (some) belts around to make colourful extremely chaotic title histories, whilst others prefer to stick a belt on someone for a set minimum of time before even thinking about having them drop the strap. So the question is, what's the method to everyone's respective madness? How do you book your titles and champions, and most importantly, why do you do it the way you do?
  19. Basically it won't affect business immediately, but ultimately his advantages will dwindle further and further until you hit the point where he's no longer giving the company an advantage by being the figurehead of your company. It's really just a case of finding the right moment to remove him as figurehead (and weather his inevitable shitfit when you take away his status) and also weather the period where you won't get any of the figurehead bonuses as you establish a new worker as 'the guy'. Then again, as the figurehead screen says, there's no penalty to not having a figurehead, so you can always just have your current figurehead dwindle down to giving you no bonuses, and then remove him and not replace him at all, if you can't find a new guy in the meantime. Honestly, since you're already close to the vaunted A's, I suggest you let him stick around for a while and try to find a potential figurehead who hits the A's and will be your guaranteed Ace until basically that guy retires. So yeah, let him stick around until he no longer gives you bonuses. If at that point you don't have someone ready to take over (which will take multiple years, mind), then just remove him as figurehead and go further without one until you do. But you can also just take the risk, remove him immediately, stick figurehead to your best guy, and push him to the everloving moon and hope his ceiling is endless.

Love me some 4C. I think one of the weakest areas in the roster in 2016 is the tag team division, it's quite lackluster. I recommend bringing in OMG! and The Inner City Express from ACPW to amp up the in-ring for the division. Good call on the Women's division, the bigger companies often let theirs stagnate and will let huge stars go for you to pick up after playing a few years. I also think 4C is in pretty decent shape to start running more than one show a month right off the bat, but it could be a bit of a risk.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Cheers for the suggestions, I have signed both those teams now to hopefully give us some more actual talent in the tag division. And I also signed Jamie Atherton (w. Heather B) to hopefully make him a strong presence in the company, and most likely the eventual replacement of Frankie D as the main face of the company.</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Gungner" data-cite="Gungner" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Thanks man... Another quick question.<p> Would it be advisable to get a TV-deal if you're running a Small sized company? I can get a TV-deal, but I'm kinda on the fence...</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Most people advise to wait until after you've gotten to Cult status before finding yourself a TV deal, because the production costs of shows and events can skyrocket, and at small/low-regional level there's not enough fanbase to get close to breaking even financially</p><p> </p><p> Also tv stations that would deal with you at that level are probably tiny and only willing to give you graveyard slots, which are too small to give you decent pop gains, if any. So most likely you'll only keep the pop at the level it's at in all the areas you're not physically in that show.</p><p> </p><p> It's better to run multiple shows a month if you have the financial power for it. Running two 1h shows will help better than running one 2h show because you can get double the pop gain with the same amount of workers (if you plan your shows well enough).</p><p> </p><p> Depending on the area your company is in, you should just focus on exclusively running in your home locale and pushing up to Regional first and foremost. There's also a thing called 'spillover' which means if you run good shows in one area, there's a small bleeding effect to adjacent areas. So even if you never run in an area, you might still improve your popularity there, albeit at a much slower rate than in your home region.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Damien" data-cite="Damien" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Does unmasking/hair loss do anything long term to the workers involved? I ask because they are then listed under title history? What's the short term impact, just overness?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It might hurt his popularity and his match ratings in the long term. A good mask can 'hide' bad star quality, so if the worker has bad SQ and he's unmasked, it can seriously stagnate or even derail his career if he can't get by on other skills.</p><p> IRL example: Rey Mysterio's popularity suffered a bit when he was unmasked in WCW, because whilst he had all the in ring talent and skill, people couldn't get over how much his face looked like an adult child.</p><p> </p><p> On the flipside, if they have a bad mask but amazing star quality/sex appeal, unmasking them might improve their careers because they can get by on their looks better than the mask would've helped 'hide' those looks.</p><p> IRL example: Cien Almas operated his entire career under a mask as 'La Sombra', but when he arrived in NXT/WWE they had him unmask because he's got really good looks and in WWE's eyes had no reason to hide those looks behind a mask.</p><p> </p><p> So it's kind of a mixed bag, unmasking someone can give a great boost to the person doing the unmasking, but could derail the masked wrestler's career if they can't get by without the mask.</p>
  22. It sounds dumb, but higher than your pop, that's pretty much what you need to be aiming for. There can be really big rating differences at Cult level, because a company that's close to regional will run a lot worse shows than a company that's close to going up to national. Depending on if you're perf > pop or pop > perf. If you're perf > pop, you can just get the best workers and put on awesome matches and you'll get good ratings. If you're pop > perf, then you'll probably be hovering around your companies pop unless you have workers that are more popular than your company. Worker pop tends to plateau around your company pop, too. So if you get more popular guys, you need to keep them very very strong if you don't want them to slip. Also even in perf > pop, always book your most popular guys in the two main event matches to get the highest possible show rating. So basically, as long as your ratings are higher than your pop, you should be growing.
