Rampage was damn good this week.

Shida did her best to get the crowd back after a rough start. - Maxwell is a marked man. - Cassidy & Okada vs BCC was my MOTN.

The first 8 episodes (minus the Canada pre-tape) of Collision were as good or better Dynamite. It went downhill a bit but picked up the last few weeks. I would say B+ for quality, B for ratings. Could save the Kenny match for the December PPV but I think that will be MJF vs Joe. The PPVs are selling well enough that TK doesn't need to stack them too much. Long term it's a good idea to keep the TV ratings up by peppering in a few big matches.

She's wrestled 2 dark tag matches and 2 tag matches on Rampage since the Britt match (which was bad) but that was over a month ago. She wasn't getting over as a babyface. They had a chance to turn her heel and join the Outcasts after the Jade feud but it never happened. TK barely spends energy on creative for the women that are over so I'm not surprised Taya got cycled off TV.

First sign I spotted at the start of Rampage was "SOLO VINE PARA MISTICO" (I only came for Mistico) lol.

Apparently they sold 2,100 additional tickets (attendance was 4,457) to Dynamite/Rampage after Mistico was announced. This has started a twitter battle with people trying to dismiss that Mistico is a draw in Texas and that discounted tickets and walk-ins are the reason. According to Meltzer late discounts average 600 for AEW shows not 2000+ and they started selling fast after the announcement before AEW decided to capitalize with cheap tickets.

Longer than usual women's match in the 1st hour with a hype video. - Copeland interview was too long but I get it... casuals need to know their history but they can't use footage from the other company. - RIP Hunk. I'm pretty sure MJF already signed a new contract in secret. The bidding war of 2024 was always a storyline. MJF's title reign just started a bit earlier than planned because they had to strip Punk, so now it's being dragged out until next year.

Kommander vs Cage was postponed which might have thrown off the pacing a bit. I'm assuming Lee's quick squash was added after that and the main event went a bit longer.

ROH women's division was cooking this week. Athena, Billie and Martinez all won matches plus we got Willow vs Hirsch. Billie & Lexy had a backstage segment with Martinez & Diamante who later attacked Athena & Billie. All in a 1.5hr show with no dumb gender restrictions. I wonder if Maria is finally being utilized in a creative capacity.

AEW is going nowhere. They started recouping the Fight Forever investment. Probably made as much money from the last 3 PPVs as they did all last year. The next TV deal will be huge. TV attendance figures are sliding but that can be fixed with better marketing and lower ticket prices. I don't think TK will bother unless it gets worse.

MJF's promos are better when he has someone to bounce off instead of crowd pandering. - Shida vs Saraya (c) was good. It helped that they got more than 10 minutes. Watch out for the shoe. Shida the first 3-time female Champion! I hope she faces Emi, Ruby, Veny & Mone. - Don with cue cards loophole. Caster trying to be Max's new best friend lol. - Luchasaurus vs Copeland was good. Pre-match promo was entertaining. Brawl!
