1. I'm pretty sure I remember the GM saying that Cena would be fired from the WWE, not just from Raw (ie: he wouldn't be going to Smackdown). The Nexus/Cena angle isn't over yet... and as much as everyone complains, I bet you all still watch Raw to find out what will happen with Cena. Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered what the ending at SS was, everyone still would've complained. Screwy referee job by Cena handing him the title... I'm sure everyone would think that was predictible as well?
 2. Maybe some kind of "Paul Bearer paid the Nexus for their services" angle, where he pays them off to make sure Kane wins?
 3. Why are you in a WWE discussion forum then? Bit of an obvious ending like others suggested, but I'm interested in seeing where it leads... 7 v 7 match was a little boring, I still don't see the point of having Raw v Smackdown, love that Edge won though! Still hoping for the removal of the brand split! Nexus appearing on both shows due to being tag champions? Some kind of angle where any members of Nexus can defund the titles? Cena stripped of his half by Nexus? Thoughts everyone?
 4. Yeah, I see you what you mean and it's a fair point. I guess this just seems more of a total rip-off than a generic 'rock band' or 'biker' character. It could work though, I think we'll just have to wait and see. I don't think TNA is as bad as what a lot of people are saying. Last weeks Impact was severly lacking in actual wrestling, so hopefully that was just a one-off. I'm interested to see where the storyline goes...
 5. True, however it's unlikely that all of these guys are on shows at the one time - usually a couple of them aren't on TV at one time due to one reason or another, so the WWE doesn't necessarily need to squeeze them all in at once. Increasing the prestige of the Intercontinental title by making it a stepping stone to the World title (and possibly held by guys further up the card) would help, then the US title (or a different one if its unifed, doesn't matter - I'm thinking something along the lines of the old European title) could be used for the mid card. I guess what I'm describing is more of a shift back to how it used to be! Oh and no, I don't really consider Rey Mysterio to be a 'main eventer', but I'm sure plenty of people do...
 6.
Speaking of the Robbie E/Jersey Shore storyline, I have to ask... why? Why are TNA mocking a TV show? They're not in competition, they have nothing to do with them? So why bother mocking them... I just dont see the point?

It would be like having someone come down and rip-off Jack Bauer from 24... it just wouldn't make any sense?

(Please correct me if I've missed something, because I've heard of the show, but never actually seen it... I've heard about the fist pumping, etc though.)

Why? Having two top champions is the not a bad idea. Hell, if you only have ONE top championship, it's going to squeeze the main event. There's simply a lot of top guys right now. Bad idea?

I persoally would love to see it, I've had enough of Raw vs Smackdown and don't buy into the "we're in competition with the other show" thinking at all.

As for the main event being squeezed with one championship... how many main eventers are there at the moment? I count:

Orton

Cena

Barret

Sheamus

Undertaker

Kane

Edge (although not really being used as one)

Miz (probably not quite there yet, but there's little doubt he will soon)

Have I missed any? I'm not sure if it would be that squeezed at the top if there was only one World Title?

 8. Sure, a show like Tough enough could make a small difference (assuming they had the money, a TV slot, etc, etc to do)... but would it make them a serious threat to the WWE? No... not even close. The WWE is so far ahead in terms of everything (money, exposure, etc) that no-one has a realistic chance of catching them anytime soon, if ever!
 9. Do they have the money though? And if they don't, where is the money going to come from?
 10. Agreed, I don't think there's any comparison really... WWE is far too big to be at war with TNA... and I can't see that changing anytime soon (if ever). I really cant see any company ever being in a position to seriously challenge the WWE, which is unfortunate because competition would surely lead to much more interesting shows!
 11. TNA seems a bit small to be at war with the WWE. I couldn't see anything that TNA does really making that much of an impact on the WWE?
 12. Agreed... why would anyone care who wins out of Raw or Smackdown? It's not like one brand represents a face and one a heel, it's just a stupid idea! I think they need to slowly start phasing out the brand split, Smackdown seems devoid if any big stars at the moment. Would be nice for it to head back towards how it used to be, with guys appearing on both shows.
 13. Did anyone else find it a bit weird that Impact went on for over an hour with no matches? I know its sports entertainment, but it is still a wrestling show! I'm not even sure why they bothered to set the ring up?? Abyss and Jor for all of 4 minutes, then a 1 vs 5 handicap match?? Why??? Oh and followed by a main event with no conclusion... which in itself isn't necesarliy a bad thing, but considering nothing else had happened all night in the ring it might've been nice for us to see a match with an actual result! I'm interested to see where TNA goes with the whole "They" angle. Whether it does turn into an nWo rip-off or whether they manage to take it in a new direction? I know plenty of people don't like Bischoff, but I think the smug, obnoxious, power hungry heel Bischoff is so much more entertaining... glad they turned him and I hope he is used in that authority type role on screen. For all the complaining, I must say one thing... I do want to tune in next week to see what happens next, so that must count for something?
 14. I'm in Australia... and yeah that seems to be the case. Hopefully it stays like that! (Still think it's a stupid idea and only going to piss more people off!)
 15. Can someone please fill me in on what happened in the main event? We don't get Reaction here, so last we saw was Jeff Hardy hitting RVD and Anderson with a chair, then hitting the Twist of Fate on RVD, over Anderson... did anything happen after that?
 16. He has to be the most entertaining guy on the Raw roster atm! I'd love to see him be given the chance to really shine on his own (without Alex Riley with him), but he just gets better and better every week! The promo with Edge last week was fantastic!
 17. Is anyone else loving the Miz as much as me right now? Lately he's been the most entertaining guy on Raw... I'd much rather listen to him han Cena any day of the week! (I wish Michael Cole would stop stuffing him down our throats, and I think he's capable of standing on his own without needing Alex Riley as a sidekick... but seriously he's been great lately and is my favourite guy on Raw now that Edge and Jericho aren't there.)
 18. Just read the article about the NBA cracking down complaining and really I can't see it being that big of a deal... (I ref games atm here in Australia, albeit it not at a particularily high level, but it still gives you a great appreciation for the game and what it takes to be a ref, how they see it, what they have to deal with, etc...) A little harsh if it's not directed towards the refs, but I'm sure the players will get used to it quickly. Agree with this, I hate it when players direct this towards me... if I'd seen it I would've called it, being an obnoxious smart ass and smacking your arm in front of me only pisses me off... Agree to an extent, as long as players can still approach refs I don't think this will really have any effect. A little harsh, but I can understand why this is being implemented. Provided players can still have a discussion with a ref this won't be an issue. I'm sure the players will adapt quickly and the number of T's won't increase dramatically. I think everyone's made a big deal out of nothing... let's wait and see if it really has much of an effect before we start complaining. I watch a fair bit of NBA over here in Australia, anywhere between 4 and 6 games a week... and I've never gotten the impression the refs think they are bigger than the game. I don't know why people think that (other than it sounds like an intelligent point to make; in reality it just simply isn't true - well I can't see any evidence of it from what I've seen.) I think the NBA refs are the best in the world and do an excellent job... they all make mistakes, but for the most part the calls (and non-calls) are usually pretty spot on!
 19. A few quick thoughts on last weeks Impact, BFG and TNA in general: - I understand the end of the Battle Royal was shown on Reaction... we don't get Reaction in Australia so we didn't get to see the end. Stupid, stupid move... people shouldn't be forced to watch another show, just to see the end of the show they were originall watching. That's only going to piss people off! - The whole Battle Royal was stupid! I was constantly asking myself why? Why bother having it, what is it actually acheiving... plus the match itself just plain sucked (you could tell on TV the crowd wasn't in to it either). Seriously, a Battle Royal for $100,000... why? If you're going to the effort of having one, at least put a title shot on the line (eg: the Battle Royal on Raw last week... at least that meant something). - Impact pretty much sucked (as most people here have previously said). Awful job of hyping BFG, 4 matches in 2 hours just isn't right. The Abyss angle at the start goes on way too long (as have most of his backstage promos where he beats someone up... they sem to stretch to 15+ minutes when they only really need to take 5 max) - As for BFG... as most people have already pointed out, nWo v2. So we now have ECW, the nWo and the Four Horseman... plus possibly Sting v Hogan. It's been done over and over again... plus the random group of guys that seem to be part of "They" is just weird... Jarret, Abyss, Jeff Hardy and Hogan in a group together? That just doesn't look right to me. I thought Anderson or Angle would've been a better fit? - A heel Eric Bischoff is so much better to watch, I'm sick of hearing about how he "respects the hell" out of this guy and that guy (same for Tommy Dreamer and EV 2.0...) Hopefully now he goes back to being the obnoxious, annoying, heel authority type... because like him or not he fits that role perfectly. - To expand on that point above, can the roster please get back to wrestling and hating each other? I'm sick of every week seeing someone in the ring saying how they respect someone else and what they've done "for the business" blah, blah, blah. Shut up and get back to hating each other! - Oh and stop using the phrase "the business" or anything like that. And stop talking about what happened 20 years ago, why not talk about what's happening NOW? (Or at least in the last few years at the most!) - What is TNA's obsession with blood? There's seriously someone getting bloodied in a match every week! Overuse means no one cares... and if no one cares why do it? Save the blood for bigger matches so when it happens it actually means something. Do we really need to see barbed wire every single week? It's good for something different or to really emphasis a fued, but do we need to see it every week? It doesn't really mean anything if we do...
