    By the way, a rough guide to how much popularity gain to increase a match rating for that wrestler?  It's...well, I overcomplicated it, but assuming that matches are graded...30% pop, 70% match rating.

     

    If I want to increase someone's contribution (their match grade) by...5 points?

    5 * (100/30) = 50/3 ~= 17 popularity.

    Or, for me at 40%, it's 5 * (100/40) = 50/4 ~= 12 popularity (12.5 but whatevs).

    So yeah, that's...cute.  It also means that we know what a person's floor is, ignoring stuff like inconsistency, given 100 popularity.  It's the popularity ratio for matches.  So, in my product that's 40-60%, at max popularity it should be impossible to score under a 60.  Woo!

    I'm editing YEPW down $1,000, as the trick worked, but it did nothing.  Also also, why has it been months since a non-regen debuted?

    Does the database already know the rangens it will generate?

    What even is that move?  And he's Goth?  HE'S BASED IN THE MID SOUTH?

     

    I believe Tommy Cornell Jr. is the last pre-generated person in the database.  That's in March of 2025.

    APW coming for Jared Johnson.  I'm keeping him for ~$19,000/month, 10% event bonus, as an icon.

    Or, y'know, just send him to developmental idk.  44-year-old Double J is gonna not be good, though.

     

    On the plus side, NYCW won't get to have him either SO NYAH

    Edit: APW and CZCW are offering him $45,310/month.  I'm $19,840, and as an icon, for 10 years.  lul.

    A bit of a Written Update:

    Usually, Written contracts are not worth it.  I have 12 shows/month, so if the Written asked-for is less than 12-times their per-event, then Written is a great idea.

    Assuming that I don't do a Written per-show deal, which...you can?

    And assuming that I want to use someone on each show.

     

    I've lost a few developmental people to other companies; I tend to be okay with that, as 1: They're developmental 2: Are going to improve, but not on my dime!

     

    Howevre [sic][#French], APW wanted to get Cam Jones for 3 YEARS.  So I am overpaying him like $40k/month for 10 years to stay.

     

    Now, I know what you're thinking: WHY THE HECK 10 YEARS HE'S GOING TO BE 45 AND TERRIBLE!

     

    And my answer is: Do I have balls or no?

     

    DO I GOT BALLS OR NO?

     

    That's what I thought.

     

    To be clear, this means that the smarter thing would be to give as short as possible a contract to guarantee he chooses me, or maybe 5 years if I'm generous.  But don't let toxic masculinity me hear I said that.

     

    Anyway, iirc Sterling Whitlock was financially smart to lock down (not for 10 years tho) and Seung Sun was not, but mah boi was mad at 2 refusals of a pay raise so
