  1. I dont know, I think I have to disagree. There was a time when the Knockouts were getting the highest rating on the show and that was when Kong was battling it out with Gail Kim.
  2. As for right now she is only a referee. However I do think it only a matter of time before she is wrestling. Heck there is a rumor that Brooke Hogan is going to wrestle. While I am enjoying the show overall I think the knockouts is a shell of its former self. TNA could have gone out and gotten any number of indy talents that not only are good looking but talented as well. If they did not want to go hire anyone than Tara should have been the special guest ref. It would have made sence considering she was the one screwed over for the Title shot by Hebner.
  3. I agree, I thought the show was solid. Dont know why you didnt like it.
  4. Thought Impact was solid again this week. Good matches and the storylines are being being pushed forward pretty well. Joe / Magnus was a good match with some stiff spots. Magnus could be gold for the company if used right going into the future. He has a great look and with a little more work could be really good on the mic. I wonder if they are going to push another injury angle with Joe so he does not win the B4G series therefore pitting Joe vs Magnus at B4G. The AJ / Daniels match was the best match of the night as always, these two guys know who to put on a great match. Im glad that AJ went over in this match so we can finally get past this storyline. Im glad that Daniels and Kaz have finally been given ample TV time but this story has got to end. I have no idea who that woman was that refereed the Knockouts Title match. I have a feeling that she is a former WWE Diva and has no place in TNA. They shoudl have gotten someone like Cheerleader Melissa or any former Knockout that could actually add something to the division. However I think now is a bad time to build the knockouts division because they dont get any air time as it is because of the B4G series taking center stage. Maybe after October start building. The ending of Impact was good, but I have a feeling Bully Ray and/or Roode will start saying that Storm orchestrated the attack to get heat off of him. Good show overall.
  5. Joe vs Aries already happened months ago, abet before Joe began getting re-pushed. However I think AJ vs Aries would probably be a contender for match of the year. Im surprised that you did not enjoy the ladder match Hive, I really thought it was the match of the night, followed very closely by Aries vs Roode. I do agree that I dont see Storm being as over as the push he is receiving. However I do think we will see Roode vs Storm at B4G, just without the Title on the line. This opens things up a little for the B4G series because with Roode as the Champ I think it was a given that Storm would win. Now its almost anybodies game. There are a few guys on in that series that would put on one hell of a match with Aries. Joe, AJ, Daniels, Angle, Hardy... I dont think Bully will win it now because we already saw Aries vs Bully Ray, same as Joe vs Aries. I think to establish Aries as a true World Champion he needs a big win over some of the other top tier veteran guys. I still think Devon was one of the most over guys on the show last night.
  6. I really enjoyed the PPV last night. It was not spectacular, but it was good. Everyone knew what two matches were gonna steal the show and they were right. However all the other .atches served there purpose and they were good. It was a shame to see Pope get taken out. Was it just me or was Devon way over with the crowd last night? Overall very soild PPV and it sets up the coming weeks perfectly.
  7. The guy is entertaining, its just he is stuck with a really bad gimmick. Give him something else and see if he has the chops to run with it. It feels like he is the cannon fodder for the B4G series (with the exception of 5 points bro).
  8. I tell ya, this PPV tonight is looking really, really good. A couple of through away matches but over all a very decent PPV. I think Joe vs Angle vs AJ vs Daneils will steal the show with Aries vs Roode coming in right behind. I have a sinking feeling that Roode will somehow take back the Title even though I love Aries as the World Champ, the guy is awesome. Roode is a great Heel and I am glad he finally got his shot at the top of the promotion, he deserves it. However I think Aries as the underdog champ (he is a smaller guy) sets up some really good feuds. I would love to see an Angle vs Aries match for the Title, or even RVD vs Aries. I mean the guy can have some awesome matches with anyone on the roster right now. TNA is really stepping up lately and I think finally listening to the fans. I dont even mind having Hogan on screen because he is usually doing something to put over someone else.
  9. Dude that PPV is shaping up to be an awesome show. Angle vs AJ vs Daniels vs Joe is going to be match of the night with Aries vs Roode right behind it. I like how these BFG Hardcore Justice series matches are being set up to be VERY important. 20 points will be huge for any of the winners. I would love to see Joe come out on top even though I dont see him winning the BFG series. The reason I dont see that happening is because Aries already beat Joe clean and I think TNA would go for a different pairing for the Bound For Glory main event (that is saying, of course, if Aries holds on to the Title). I am just very happy with how TNA has been shaping up lately. While not everything is doing great (the tag team division and KO division are not as robust as they use to be), things are following a concise and clear story and the action in the ring is some of the best in the industry right now. Plus I am so glad that they pulled the trigger on Aries and put the World Title on him. He just has that "IT" factor (pun intended) that makes him the perfect choice for World Champ.
  10. Hey this is wrestling, characters change alignments at the drop of a hat if it serves the storyline. As for the original question if this is racist, I have to say I don't think so, not so much. Its not like its anything new that two Mexican wrestlers team up. LAX and Mexican America come to mind just in TNA. Also Hernandez is better in a tag team with a smaller, faster guy. Plus I don't think it will be a perm thing, just to give all four of these guys something to do until Chavo moves onto something else. I still think TNA needs to resign Homicide and reform LAX.
  11. I thought Impact was solid again this week. 4 very good matches this week and all the story line build ups were really good. I like how Chavo is not being thrown into the World Title scene right away. A nice mid-card feud with Kash and Gunner to help build him up in the eyes of the Impact fans is a good move. As much as I would like him in the X-Division I think he is too big a star to lose to guys like Zema. Not that there is anything wrong with Zema, I like the gimmick and wrestler, but I dont see Chavo laying down to him. I'm glad that they did not do much more with this whole AJ styles your my babys daddy thing. This needs to be resolved quickly and get those involved in the story back into something more solid. This whole thing screams Jerry Springer to me. I absolutely love Austin Aries as the World Champion. While small, he looks the part of a World Champion. Also I think he can have fantastic matches with just about anybody on the roster. I would kill to see Austin Aries vs Kurt Angle, that match would tear the house down. I'm curious about these Aces & 8's guys. While Ive heard all the rumors about who the guys behind the masks are, the whole storyline is intriguing . Im excited for wrestling for the first time in a long time.
  12. First time posting in a long while and first time watching a TNA show in a while. All I have to say is WOW. What a great PPV! The Aries win I did not see coming and while I love him as World Champion I dont think TNA should have pulled the trigger on him so soon. Roode as World Champion was working really well and he plays the part of the Heel Champ so good that I really thought it should have continued until at least BFG. I think Aries should have had a few more high profile wins under his belt before putting on the Title. Sure he beat Bully and Joe, but Bully has not been the world champ yet and what has Joe been really doing (besides having another awesome match against Kurt last night). However this does set up Aries for matches against those guys, I think his status in the company should have been higher.
  13. Watched some of the highlights of the London show and I have to say it looked really good. It looked like a real pro-wrestling show. TNA really needs to move out of the Impact Zone and start taking it on the road. I know its more expensive, but it brings so much more to the product. Plus, nobody pays to come to the Impact Zone so TNA is losing out on money anyway. While they may not be able to sell out the bigger arena's here in the US, some of the smaller arenas that ECW use to visit should be easy for them to sell out. By the way, the arena looked packed in London.
  14. Oh yea, your absolutely right. I'm just saying it would be pretty cool to see it considering the spoilers sound really good.
  15. Anybody else interested in seeing this new TNA-India project that they have going on? Reading some of the spoilers it seems pretty awesome for the most part.
  16. I dont know man. I think there is a place in TNA for guys like Kurt Angle and Sting, while still making them different than the WWE. All TNA needs to do to differentiate themselves would be to do what TNA does best, and thats focus on the the in-ring talent over the entertainment portion of it all. There is a place for the sports-entertainment side of it all, heck thats what gets people interested. You need those back stories and rivalries to fuel the fire so to speak. If you totally cut out the entertainment portion of it you would have a niche product like that of ROH. ROH, while a great promotion, will never be more than it is unless it evolves to incorporate that sports-entertainment side of it. Not saying that that should be front and center, but it needs to be a part of it. I dont particularly mind Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, however there role needs to be cut back drastically. Hogan should be the spokesman for TNA. He should be doing the talk shows and radio shows, hyping up TNA. Bischoff could still be an on air character much in the role he is in now. If they are going to go this whole Immortal route, then somebody other that Sting needs to be the guy trying to bring them down. It needs to be the next big star. Someone like AJ, Joe, Daniels or Pope. TNA can be different while not getting ride of anybody at all.
  17. I have to agree with the Bully Ray topic. He is top notch on the mic and the best on-mic heel TNA has right now. He very well could do a storyline with Sting while TNA builds up some other mega heel because, lets face it, TNA is lacking on big name heels right now. Bully Ray could fit that mold, buying TNA time to get some other guy ready to go for a shot at Sting. Will a Sting vs Bully Ray match steal the show? No. Will it be a decent match? I think so. Plus, judging from there confrontation from last Impact, the build up could be excellent.
  18. Hernandez just needs a little something to freshen up his character. I dont think he is a generic big guy, he has a bit more in his arsenal. Plus he can move like not many other big guys can. Matt Morgan could be another Hulk Hogan (and I mean that in a good way) if pushed right. He's big, athletic, charismatic and can work a crowd. Have him turn in a big way and he could be THE heel moving forward. Abyss has always been an interesting character to me. He is a bit Mankind, bit Undertaker, bit Kane all thrown into a mixer and then poured out. He has not been too bad on the mic either but if they give him a good manager then he could be that monster bad guy. Hell turn Joe heel again and have him go on a dominating winning streak. Wins over top faces and maybe some DQ's because he is so violent during the match. Set him up as a big threat to Sting. I do not want to see Jeff Jarrett in the Title scene again. I have nothing against the guy at all and I think he is a great worker who can work a crowd, but it would be in TNA's best interest to keep him away from the Title scene for now. Maybe a run for the gold a few months to a few years down the road but for now he should be the guy that the young faces have to go through to go from that midcard to main event scene. Pope is a big contender for top heel, but he needs a bigger push outside this feud with Joe. He's got the charisma, the ability and the drive to be a top guy. Maybe he is pissed that Sting left him to fight against Immortal all by himself and now he wants revenge on Sting. And just for Nostalgia sake put Sting vs Flair for one last hurray. Thats just some quick ideas on who could be the top heel in TNA right now.
  19. Wow, just wow. Thats all I have to say. Well not really. I have not watched in a while because I am losing interest in wrestling as a whole, but I do read whats happening in TNA because I am a huge fan of a lot of the guys they have there. However what happened last night was something that would have happened in WCW in there final years. Is this a sign of things to come? I just dont know. Jeff Hardy should be fired if he was truly high. No if and or butts about it. The next question is, who can take the place of the top heel in TNA now?
  20. The video did have that TNA feel to it with the chain fences and the backstage area's, but it was way too like the WWE video with a guy who has not been that big of a deal in a long time, especially in TNA. If he would have went to the WWE to feud with Taker then I may have turned in to Mania (my first WWE program in many, many years) just to see that. However Sting beating Hardy for the Title next week does not spark my interest at all. Where's Mr Anderson's rematch? Wheres the focus on the younger wrestlers that was in the news a few weeks ago. How come AJ is not going for the Title not that Fortune is not a part of Immortal any longer? Im not claiming to be any great booker but Sting should not be there world champion. Sting should be that crow on the shoulder of Fortune or the rest of the TNA roster, helping them get rid of Immortal. He should be the thorn in the side of Hogan and Bischoff, have them pull out there hair in frustration (or in Hogans case whats left of his hair). Sting should be the guy that appears out of nowhere to foil outside interference, he should be the guy that when a face is getting beat down the lights go out and when they come back on Sting is in the ring to clear house. Maybe a few high profile matches with members of Immortal down the line. Hell a Sting / Flair match could be awesome just for nostalgia's sake. Its reasons like this that I have stoped watching wrestling all together.
  21. That was funny. I can imagine that both the TNA booking meetings and the WWE booking meetings are both like that. Thats some funny **** right there.
  22. They do hype the crowd. You can see them in the background during certain shots during the airing of iMpact and the PPv's. I think hyping the crowd is different though then telling them when to cheer.
  23. So TNA brings in Mickie James to give the knockouts division more credibility and exposure (which they had no problem with before Hogan & Bischof showed up). They even have a knockouts match headline Impact which has not been done since the days of Awesome Kong and Gail Kim. However they now release two of the more credible knockouts in Taylor Wilde and Hamada. Both of which were easy on the eyes ( if thats whaf TNA wants in there knockouts now) and can actually wrestle a good match. Those two were part of the core of the knockouts division. They keep depleting the division and soon its just going to be Mickie James, Tara and maybe Madison Rayne left. So now whats the point of a knockouts tag team title when you barely have enough to sustain a singles division. I just dont get it. It just seems like more cost cutting measures so they can afford Hogan.
  24. So I did not watch the PPV but various reports are saying that Hardy showed up "in no condition to wrestle". The report also states that TNA toyed with the idea of doing an injury angle and stripping him of the Title. So for those of you who watched the PPV tell me this, how was Hardy in the ring. If he did show up messed up (I'm not sure if that meant High or Drunk), then TNA has a responsibility to there employees and fans to strip Hardy of the Title. If they do not do something to punish Hardy then that shows there roster that they can get away with anything. As TNA World Champion Hardy has to carry the image of this company on his shoulders. By showing up "messed up" he shows he is not only unprofessional, but he is not to be trusted to carry the company into the future. I applaud TNA for giving the fans what they payed for by delivering on the Hardy - Morgan match, however if Hardy was really that messed up, he could have hurt Morgan in that match. Its now time for TNA to punish Hardy for what he has done. He should be stripped of the Title at the least, and possibly even fired.
