  1. I tell you in my TNA game I have totally hit the reset button and right now my top two guys are Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal. In fact they are getting ready to face each other for the vacant Heavyweight Title. Joe holds major victories over Kurt Angle & Abyss and Lethal holds victories over Flair, Foley and Mr. Anderson. They are both the big names in the company in my game and I think they could be in real life. If TNA were to become the fast past, hard hitting alt to WWE's PG TV, they could draw huge numbers. I use Hogan as a personality who goes to all the major talk shows and events (like it or not Hogan is still a huge name and can draw interest) and puts over the big matches and TNA in general. Bischoff is used as an on-air General Manager of sorts, with Hogan sometimes playing that role as well. A lot f the olders guys (Sting, Flair, Foley) are being used, or going to be used as Managers and Occasional, special attraction wrestlers (I just held a big match between Sting and Flair that was only mid-way through the card on my last PPV). I have grown the tag team, X-Division and knockouts division with names such as Hass & Benjamin, Amazing Kong, Paul London and a few others. Things have been rough in my TNA game because of the money being shelled out to the big names, but I am slowly starting to draw more people and ratings with big matches all the time. I know this is talk about TNA in its current form, but this is my fantasy booking and how I think TNA could draw themselves out of there funk. JMHO by the way.
  2. Its such a shame that TNA is going down the path it is. They have such talent and by watching that brawl between the Guns and Gen Mr its obvious they have guys who are passionate about wrestling there and TNA could make a identity for themselves as a hard hitting fast past show. I have not watched in a few weeks so I dont know what is going on, but I do feel a loss inside that I use to fill watching my favorite wrestlers in TNA every week.
  3. While I do agree that the Immortals is another version of the nWo, I do have to disagree with the Main Event Mafia being another version of the nWo. The Mafia was an elite group of only former World Champions and with with the exception of Joe they did not add any members aside from the core group. While the Mafia was featured in the main feuds in TNA, they did not run the promotion like the nWo or Immortal. It's just my opinion but the Mafia was a whole other beast.
  4. http://gerweck.net/2010/10/27/several-tna-stars-contracts-expire-soon/ I have to say this upsets me to no end. Eric Young is one of there most entertaining guys and they are giving him a pay cut. Thats just wrong on so many levels. While I am a fan of Rhino, he has not done much in TNA for a long time. If he were given a push, maybe for the TV Title or such I would care more. As it is if he was released, it would not put me out very much/ As for Kiyoshi, eh, I dont get Xplosion so it does not bother me.
  5. Spoiler!!! The Mr. Anderson concussion is legit after the chair shot to the back of the head. He posted some pictures a couple of weeks back after the taping that showed the gash in the back of his head. While this sucks for Anderson, it's a huge shot for Matt Morgan. Morgan in Fortune was doing nothing for him, same as Douglas Williams. Now Morgan might renew his push and while I dont see him winning the Title from Hardy, its nice to see the Big Man in the Main Event for a change. Now we just need to get Douglas Williams out of there and have him back in the X-Division kicking some ass and things will be good. Plus, hey, I like Jeff Hardy's new attitude. It works for him as a heel.
  6. Man it's so disheartening to hear this. Everyone here is saying exactly what I feel, but I guess out of loyalty I am staying. However I dont know how long I will be able to keep watching. I do agree that all the young stars that had a big chance and were built up real well (Wolfe and Morgan anyone), lost any sense of momentum and just fell to the back burner. I just feel that if I turn off my TV and stop watching TNA, what else will I watch that will satisfy that wrestling itch. I guess there always old ROH, SHIMMER and PWG DVD's I can buy. I just want TNA to succeed so badly and not because I hate WWE, I have not watched WWE in so long that I dont know if I hate it, but because they have so many guys I like. I just would really like to see someone fresh in a main even role. Not that Anderson, Hardy and Angle are bad, because they are far from it, but it would be awesome to see Joe, Pope, Wolfe, Lethal and Morgan mix it up with those guys as well. One thing that TNA lacks in building up the young guys is the exposure. You have to book them on the popular morning and night shows. You have to get them out there in the public's faces and shove them down there throats. Thats how everybody knows who Austin, Rock, Cena, Sting, Hogan and Jarrett are. They've been in the public eye. Did you ever seen Joe on Good Morning America when he was TNA champion? No or course not. However I am going off on a tangent and off topic. I just want TNA to do well. Man what to do what to do?
  7. I would not leave just yet brother. Give it a few weeks to see if it develops and if it sucks, then leave. The angle just started, give them a little bit to win you back.
  8. While the show was lacking in wrestling last week, the storylines that were advanced were advanced well. I really like the whole Jeff Jarrett / Kurt Angle altercation and the fact that Taz got involved was very cool. The spot where Jarrett threw Angle into the wall was done very well and is a good way to give Angle some time off. While the Jersey Shore stuff was not my cup of tea, I think it was done well. The characters of Robbie E and Cooke are annoying as hell, which I think is the point. The only issue I have with this segment, is that Jay Lethal should have made his was down and got into a brawl wit Robbie E while Jawooww (or however you spell her name) beat down Cookie. The Pope 5 on 1 made sence. He is the only one left from the group that opposed Bischoff and Hogan so now he gets the beat down. I see Samoa Joe becoming an unstoppable force once again and now that Angle is out of the way for a little while it opens room for a Joe/Jarrett showdown. I dont exactly see the whole Immortals thing as a nWo ripoff because. If it did not have Hogan and Bicshoff in it I dont think anyone woud made comparisons. I have a feeling that Dixie is going to round up the troups after a little while and get her company back. At first, after watching reAction I have the feeling that all these guys are going to be trying the whole "one man army" routine by taking on The Immortals and Fortune by themselves. However I see Joe, Pope, Tommy Dreamer, Matt Hardy (when he comes in because you know it's going to happen) and maybe a few others finally comming wise and teaming up to take back TNA. The main event also mae sence in te fact that The Immortals want o protect Hardy and kepp th World Title with them. How do you do that? You eliminate the compitition thats how. I do hope more actual wrestling happens on future shows because its the in-ring action that seperates TNA from the pack, however the storylines are headed in a good direction.
  9. The 3 best matches on the show were The Guns vs Gen Me, Abyss vs RVD and then the 3 way between Angle, Hardy and Anderson up until the end then the chit hit the fan as they say.
  10. Ok so now that this whole "THEY" thing is out of the way, can someone tell what the hell the "change" was that Dixie Carter was talking about. I hope to god it was not that whole "ticker tape" thing on the bottom of the screen on iMpact because that would be stupid (or just like TNA).
  11. I disagree. I dont think I am going through "attitude era" withdrawal, I'm just looking for something fresh and new. Something that makes me go wow, thats interesting, let me turn in next week and see whats going on. I dont care if the old guys are involved, the new guys or some other guys. As long as the writing was strong, the action was good and I had heroes to care about and villains to hate things would be good. As it stands right now, nobody is doing that. I have been watching TNA simply because it has some of my favorite wrestlers in the promotion and I like the actual in-ring product.
  12. So where does this leave Angle. Not sure I am into this new group with Hogan and Bischoff at the helm. It just does not make any sense to have Hogan in any kind of major storyline. I just dont know man, maybe Paul Heyman is right, wrestling is dying out. There does not seem to be an original and fresh idea anywhere in the business right now. Not in the WWE, TNA, ROH or anywhere else in the world. Everything is just a re-hash of something else. I think I am just going to start watching MMA.
  13. I swear if they don't reveal who "They" is tonight I am not watching TNA anymore.
  14. Good PPV so far. However I think MMG and Gen Me has stolen the show so far.
  15. While Impact was not the strongest in recent memory, I dont think it was as bad as some people are saying. Sure the Foley / Flair promo was over the top and just strange, but it fits both of them. These are the over the top, larger than life personalities that Hogan was talking about when he first came to TNA. While I dont think anybody will turn in to Impact next week just to see Foley and Flair go head to head (despite what Tenay said), I think it will be a strong addition to an already exciting Impact. Both guys, while well past there prime, are still entertaining to watch. I'm excited to see what this whole 10-10-10 thing is and the whole "Veil Will Be Lifted" by Sting / Nash / Pope is intriguing as well.
  16. Anybody know a good place to catch Xplosion online. I dont get whatever channel its on and I would like to see the format of the show. Thanks!
  17. This whole thing about doing away with PPV could actually be the big surprise that Dixie has been talking about. It was actually a few months back that she was talking about doing away with Monthly PPV's and going possibly bi-monthly instead. This was a couple of months before Hogan and Bischoff came in. I remember thinking that this could be brilliant because it would give more time to build up the hype for the matches on the PPV's that do happen. On a side note this could be a mod-makers nightmare because I dont think there is a way to simulate specials in TEW.
  18. I remember when they hyped a huge surprise and it turned out to be Kurt Angle. I dont think any of the big surprises that TNA has hyped have been let downs. They may have not been as huge as hyped (Bobby Lashley), but they still were big.
  19. Yea I finally saw a video with Bety Ruth. She's ok, still very green by the looks of the match on her web site. If TNA does bring her in she will need a new gimmick since the baseball player gimmick went out in the late 80's.
  20. Anybody have any info on her. Any pictures, video or anything. Thanks in advance.
  21. Rhino has gotten the short end of the stick since coming to TNA. He was not even given a chance to run with the ball as the World Champion after winning the Title at the first Bound for Glory. It was a huge night for Rhino and everybody was pumped to see Rhino as the World Champion and what does TNA do? They have him lose it right back to Jarrett on the very next Impact. I was so pissed. Rhino could very well be a top-level talent if given the chance.
  22. My ECW Worldwide Review · Monday, Week 3. March · I have a feeling that The Great Sasuke is taking over the mind of Stevie Ray. Something major is going to come of this. · What you are doing with Mic Foley reminds me of when he was leaving for WCW the first time and starting turning his back on ECW. What do you have planned? · I like The Canadian Connection. Great group of wrestlers thrown together in on hell of a stable. · Good to see The Whole ****in show still together. · Holy Crap!! Douglas vs. Raven for the Commissioner position AND the World Title! THAT SHOULD BE AWESOME!!! · I really like the unstoppable Rhino that you have depicted in this diary. It fits him perfectly. · What a way to end the show with both Rhino & Sandman going flying. Brilliant! · Blood, Sweat & Beers Review. Saturday, Week 3, March · Perhaps Sasuke is not taking over Richards, but Sasuke has some kind or power over the sWo. · Man The Canadian Connection is all over Team Japan aint they. · I’m surprised that Foley stayed with Rhino in that match. · ECW Revolution Review, Monday, Week 4, March · What power does Sasuke have over the bWo? Hopefully we will find out at Baptism In Fire. · Great comedy between RVD & Michaels. Pure gold! · I have a feeling that Raven is gong to win that match with Douglas at BOF. You have some sick things planned I believe. · I’m surprised that Rhino and Sandman are up and moving after that fall last week. You should have left them off the show or at least in a less impactful situation to really sell that fall. · What a way to end the show brother. Simply chaotic. · Question? How the hell did you book that in the game? BOF Predictions bWo vs sWo – I have to go with the sWo on this one. You have this mind control thing going on with Sasuke and I think that will manifest at the PPV. The Canadian Connection vs. Team Mexico vs. Team Japan – This on to me is blatantly obvious. The Canadian Connection is the more popular team by far and you are grooming them for a HUGE push down the line. Jerry Lynn vs. Lance Storm – This one is hard to pick. The last in the Best Of Seven Series and with the two big contracts hanging above the ring it’s a toss up. I think Lynn will get the Title shot while Storm will get into the BOF match itself. The Whole ****ing Show vs. The iron Saints for the ECW Tag Team Titles – As much as I love the Whole ****ing Show, I think to make The Iron Saints look good and string they need a victory here. Rhino vs. Sandman – (In Don West’s voice) GORE, GORE, GORE! Raven vs. Shane Douglas ECW World Title match – As I said, you’re a mark for Raven and you love doing sick things with this man so I see him coming out on top and taking over. BOF Match I see a lot of people getting thrown into the fire and a lot of rivalry’s being born from this match. Its hard to pick a winner out of this group but I will go with Owen Hart as the victor. · Man I love your preview videos. I have to get you to do that for me. · I cant wait for the PPV buddy. Good luck with this sick action.
  23. My Review Of Blood, Sweat & Beers I like the sWo/bWo angle at the beginning of the show. The arm from beneath the ring was a nice touch and I cant wait to find out what they have up there sleeve. I love your Raven promos The Ultimate Jeopardy match sounds very interesting, it should be a great match. The ending rocked and even though I have not been around for a little while, its easy to see what direction you are taking ECW. I cant find one single fault with this card. Great job brother man.
  24. Well Im back to reading and after reading just this last page, I can see you are still going strong and you still have one sick mind. That Batisim In Fire match should be freaking insane. I love it and may just have to steal it for my TNA diary . I love your stuff man, cant wait to see what you have up your sleeve.
