You think 12 year old Johnny is saying "man the prestige of that title has gone down hill" titles lost ALL prestige during the attitude era. Didn't the WWE title change hands like four times in a month or something like that?

12 year old Johnny and 59 year old John who watch wrestling together aren't saying "man that title has lost prestige and Randy Orton is being booked to look like a chump" they're saying man how lucky can Orton get to keep this title, I hope John Cena beats the hell out of him at the Elimination Chamber"

I have no qualms with how Orton has been booked. The fans are booing him and responding accordingly. He's been booked badly sure but hasn't everyone been booked badly? I haven't been interested in a Mania build up since I think 2006 but this is by far the worst Mania build up ever. We're just over a month out and they are treating this whole thing like its September or something.

I know a lot of it is they don't want to pull the trigger on anything until the Network launches which is stupid because if you pull the trigger on the big time stuff now then people will already be tuned in.

I agree with pretty much all of this. The booking isn't for the 'hardcore' wrestling fans at the moment, the fans that tune in every show and buy PPVs. They know those people will come back and those they lose will be offset by the casual fans that decide to watch regularly.

As for the title prestige, heck by this point you could replace both belts with that little cardboard crown kids they used to have available at Burger King for all it represents now. I agree that it's a prop, no more no less.

I used to watch all WWEs shows, now I only bother with Raw and that's when I remember it's on. Even then it loses out to The Black List when that comes on. I'm not interested in 'Mania. The Main Event doesn't sound like anything I'm willing to watch let alone pay to watch. Heck, I'm more interested in this Shield vs. Wyatt fight and if anything comes of that than anything Mania has on the table. Even then I'm not buying the PPV, haven't bought a PPV in Aaaaaaages. I dare say that the upcoming network and even this WWE app thing(to a lesser degree) they keep pushing has all but overshadowed their PPVs, Even the upcoming Mania.

of course these are just my opinions, I could be wrong.

I loved EVA and had no trouble finding people to cheer for. Shinji to get a spine (thoughI easily understand why alot of people hate him), Rei to let more of her feelings through, Misato to save the day. I never really found anything to dislike about Misato, as broken as she was, she was also there to help people and willing to put herself in harms way to do it. Of course, I've watched all of Ranma and loved it as well.

I think the one character that I can find hate in my heart for was Incognito in the Hellsing TV show. Pretty much all the changes Gonzo made were terrible and Incognito was the worst. It's not that he was a jerk or obnoxious. He was a bad character and an unnecessary change to the storyline.

As I said before, I'm not about to begrudge anyone for their choices in entertainment or what they like therein. I have no right to do such in any case. You got things out of Eva, that's great and I'm glad you enjoyed it. My problems with it prevent me from ever doing so.

The Following are my opinions only and should be taken or dismissed as such. Healthy debate is fine, but I won't get into arguments. It's not worth it.

It seems to me that whenever Shinji's on screen he's either rolling over for someone or throwing the world's biggest 'oh poor me, pity me.' party..until the next time he throws one.

As for Rei, I HONESTLY don't get the fandom's near obsession with this one. To me all she comes across Gendo's little robot that kinda, maybe, sorta, shows hints at a personality. And Damnit girl speak up! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Misato, I have no real opinion of to be honest. I can't root for her nor do I sympathize or empathize with her. For me she's just kinda there.

Asuka's just a severely mentally damaged (censored) and I dislike her immensely.

Again my opinions only. for me none of them are worth getting behind without them spending years upon years in therapy.

As for Ranma 1/2, I tried to like it. But the characters just turned me off really quick. Of note here I'm talking about the anime series, not the manga. I could go in depth about the characters, but I won't. Really quickly though about the two main characters, Ranma himself comes off as a prideful, arrogant, misogynistic 'jock'(I say jock in the worst meaning it has.) and I don't get the fandom's like of the guy. I'm clearly missing the memo here. Akane is naive, overaggressive, overly sensitive, and generally has no thought about opinions not her own.

Is it entirely their fault for being this way? No and I'll be the first to admit it. That doesn't mean I want to watch episode after episode of 'em either.

I grant that people like these two series and are genuinely entertained by them. I also grant that As an American I'm probably missing the cultural background to fully 'get' the creator's intentions. I'm glad for them because they're getting something out of the series that clearly I am not and will never get.

Ah well, to each their own I suppose.

I don't however feel that he's a badly written character and Evangelion wouldn't have worked with your typical brave and confident hero in the role. For better or worse Evangelion is a polarizing anime. Personally I liked EVA (I will post up a review one day) but I do understand people not liking/relating to the characters.

Whilst I'm not going to completely dismiss the Tsundere character type, I do know where you are coming from and well anyone who has been reading this thread, will know that I cannot abide Naru from Love Hina. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

When played more subtly though, and without the hypocritical physical abuse, the Tsundere character type isn't so bad. One of the better written characters that could be considered a Tsundere is Makise Kurisu from Steins;Gate (there's no physical abuse from Makise towards Okabe, just the trading of insults, most of which are a lot wittier than the usual Baka!)

oh I don't begrudge anyone for liking EVA or it's characters, I mean who the heck am *I* to deride someone's choices in anything, yeah? For me to enjoy an anime I need someone ANYONE to either identify with even superficially or root for. For me EVA has NONE of either. There is literally no one in that anime I can look at and go 'yeah, I hope things turn out okay for them.' And yes, Shinji's wangst makes me want to beat him within an inch of his life, it's THAT annoying to me. I DO make a distinction between angst, which is fine for drama and story's sake, and wangst, which just makes me want to commit violent acts on said person just to make it stop. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I actually agree with you in that Tsundere done RIGHT can be rather entertaining. The Blonde in the Nisekoi/False Love is the archtype, but she neither physically assaults the guy and the guy snarls right back at her, which is a breath of fresh air considering we had a string of what I call the hyper violent Tsunderes there for a while. Oh and if you don't like Naru, you'll be like me and absolutely LOATHE the little pink haired cockroach from Familiar of Zero as bad as Naru is THAT ONE is worse in ways, IMO.

 4.

I'd genuinely like to find out what other readers most hated anime characters are, and their reasons why.

oh you asked for it... <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />:p

at the top of the list is Shinji Ikari, I don't think I need to tell you why really it should blatantly obvious. I tried to give EVA a chance but the fact is the characters themselves are just NOT likeable, none of them are for me. Shinji though takes my top spot in all animedom.

Nipping at Shinji's heels however is Naru of Love Hina and Asuka from Eva and any character of that type. I know there's a cultural thing going on here, but any Tsundere character is almost instantly on my 'hate' list. Abuse is abuse, no matter the genders involved and to me it's not funny. Special mention is the victims of these characters and the fact that they allow it to happen. repeatedly.

Third on my list believe it or not is the Ranma 1/2 cast. Akane ends up in category above, but everyone else is here with Ranma himself leading the pack. I just don't get why people like these characters at all. I tried, I REALLY tried to watch and like them. But I couldn't do it. Some of this I will freely admit is the anime fanfiction community's almost absolute love affair with using Ranma and generally treating him like he can do no wrong and is the ultimate at everything he tries and does. No, sir. I do not like 'em.

Fourthly is any character, particularly side character, that utterly dominates the spotlight. Sasuke from Naruto is a BIG offender here for me, to the point where I considered him the lead of the story for a lot of it before I up and stopped reading/watching out of disgust.

 5.

Considering that HHH runs NXT and it is consistently the best wrestling show every week, I personally cant wait for Vince to go away

I firmly believe that Vince won't go away until he's in the ground. It'll be a sad day when that happens for sure, but the man has lost touch with things, IMO.

 6.
I want the crowd that was at Rumble to be at Mania 30. All of them. I can just IMAGINE their reactions to the main event and it makes me smile.

Seriously though, WWE has always had their 'we know what's best and you'll like what we give you' attitude, granted that it fluxes and wanes over time, but even when Vince steps down I seriously doubt that will change in the slightest.

 7.

People are cheering Reigns over Batista

The crowd was awesome tonight. Not a fan of the winner, but hey. A good crowd can make things all the more awesome.

 8.

We unfortunately seem to be in a day and age where people would rather pay to see the names as opposed to the talent and skill. ..

Also keep in mind that a majority of WWE's 'creative' staff and suchlike are not 'wrestling people' They are instead 'TV' people. So the fact doesn't surprise me in the slightest that they're more focused atm in looks over substance. It also wouldn't surprise me if, despite Bryan being really on fire now, that he doesn't end up near the World Title picture for a long while yet.

As for Brock, I put it down to some kind of petty 'revenge' from those on high for Brock up and leaving when he did. WWE HAS been known to do that to workers on occasion. Wouldn't be surprised if he lost to Show.

On another note, I mark for The Wyatt Family.

 9.
I would greatly appreciate it if some kind soul would attempt to give Mark Griffin here...

http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy36/DidelotM1/MarkGriffin.jpg

A half mask and jacket similar to this Steven Parker alt here...

http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy36/DidelotM1/StevenParker_alt-1.jpg

Much thanks.

By the way, whomever made that Steven Parker alt, I salute you. It's the reason I always grab him for my games and is my most favorite alt pic I've seen.
