  1. I made it 3 years in this save. I’ve taken a break from it to start a CVERSE slobberknocker DEATHMATCH company in Japan (which I’ll post more of if I stick with it). Pittsburgh Championship Wrestling has firmly established itself as a top 10 company in the wrestling world. They sit under the WWE as the most popular in the US in 2004. I’ve established a twice a month event schedule where I can have my pretty expansive roster shine. My current belt holders are as follows: PCW World: The Chosen One (user avatar, formerly known as the Hype. I wasn’t planning on holding the belt until Keiji Sakoda left for Japan) PCW Victory Road: Aj Styles (won PCWs version of a money in the bank in January, cashed in following a main event between William Regal and Ken Shamrock. Regal DQ’d Shamrock after a 35 minute classic, and Styles took advantage). PCW Tag: Low Ki and Homicide (this title jumps around a lot, but the best champion reign was Samoa Joe and CM punk. Samoa Joe and Cm punk leaving at the same time forced me to scramble because I was going to have their demise lead to an intense feud.) PCW Undisputed Junior: Teddy Hart (his second reign, I book him to be a “work smart not hard” champion, which to me is holding up the division and fighting for other belts while scraping by the growing amount of Junior contenders. He’ll lose and get his comeuppance, I just don’t know who the right man for the job is yet.) PCW Pittsburgh Steel: Super Dragon (this is one of my favorite progressions. Dragon was always a jobber for me, mostly in one off tag matches and junior matchups. One day I decided to give him some momentum as I was looking for a solid midcard champion. Ever since he’s been red hot and I turned his momentum around. I’m having him lose this to Christopher Daniels who is making his PCW return.) Lastly I will cover very briefly the tournaments I hold Cruiserweight Classic: it’s my summer junior showcase. Since 2001 I’ve run it 3 times (skipped in 2003 as I wanted to focus more on titles that year.) 2001- Jushin Liger 2002- Teddy Hart 2004- Chris Hero Pandemonium: annual tournament with the caveat being every year has a different gimmick. I’ve made it a ladder match, elimination match and even a royal rumble lite. I want the winners to look like stars pretty much. 2001- Nick Mondo 2002- The Hype 2003- John Cena 2004- American Dragon I debuted the Championship Contract, which is what AJ Styles used to cash in.
  2. Just binged this diary last night and I’m hooked. There’s so many plot points I want to see where they end up!
  3. Pittsburgh Championship Wrestling has finished its first year in business. At the 2002 Pandemonium Cup, the Hype (imported user avatar from CV97) defeated Fit Finlay (who also got put his Pittsburgh Steel on the line). AJ Styles lost the PCW World title after a 9 month reign, losing a highly anticipated rematch with CM Punk. The Havana Pitbulls broke out of the lower midcard by gaining the PCW Tag Team titles from Samoa Joe and Keiji Sakoda. And a new title has been created, PCW Undisputed Junior. Teddy Hart won the mini tournament to be crowned the first Junior champion, and is looking to hold that belt as long as he can. Will he make it to the cruiserweight classic holding the gold? I like this save so far, I’m getting ready to take the company to the next level and need fresh ideas. I have 3 tournaments, maybe I’ll add a fourth.
  4. May 2001 - Jan 2002 I created a new federation called Pittsburgh Championship Wrestling. It mixes Puro with an indy style of wrestling. Pandemonium Cup 2001 winner: Nick Mondo Cruiserweight Classic 2001 winner: Justin Liger King of Trios 2001 winners: The Hype (imported user from CV97 database), Dragon Kid and Super Dragon PCW World: AJ Styles PCW Tag: Samoa Joe and Keiji Sakoda PCW Pittsburgh Steel: Nigel McGuinness I’ve been having a blast with this save, trying to put on good shows with little bits of story between the events. I’d go into more detail if there’s any interest.
  5. I’ll have to keep trying to utilize multiman matches. I struggle with them not feeling repetitive but that is something to work on by playing and learning.
  6. I’m looking to get more familiar with Japanese styles of booking, particularly in CV97 mod. I was wondering some key differences of how to book PGHW or BHOTWG as opposed to the American style of booking.
  7. Just started a DAVE save and it’s been absolute chaos. I hired some of the user avatars, including the sheik character. Turns out the sheik is incredibly unsafe and broke Vengeances neck in a match… needless to say the sheik needs another job. I also tried to build up the hype to face JD Morgan but both people couldn’t stay sober. The Hype destroyed my backstage rating and missed 3 shows. I fired him and also fired JD due to wrestling drunk constantly. Besides those disasters I’ve been trying to build up nemesis with Emma chase and Phil vibert as an evil stable. It’s tough so far to find the balance of events in terms of finance, and I’m working through a lot of matches to find chemistry but I am loving this save. I hope for more news soon if anyone reads this
  8. I’m looking to post for this 2000 mod game I did with UFC. A lot of crazy events have taken place. Amongst things, Wanderlei Silva is the best fighter in the world. And he’s coming off a 18 month suspension for hitting Overeem excessively after he was out. I have never seen that happen! I want to detail this more soon but for now I can tell you the current champs as of January 2004. Heavyweight: Mirko Cro Cop Light heavyweight: Wanderlei Silva (Chuck Liddell is the Interim during the suspension) Middleweight: Anderson Silva Welterweight: Hayato Sakurai Lightweight: Yves Edward
  9. I honestly don’t remember how to get the pictures embedded
  10. Would this game be promotion based like WMMA/TEE or more character based like Wrestling Spirit
  11. https://imgur.com/4r9GNBO Got this little article during my game with SAMA
  12. Would love to see some more additions to this list. I vote for So Yip and Manoel Cabral!

  14. Is there anyone who would have a file available to download? The sendspace link has expired
  15. RVD winning the title off Cena at One Night Stand or Undertaker winning the Rumble for sure
  16. I would love if there was something like this for this game, the black with the yellow accent was always my favorite style
  17. I’m 3 years into a default GAMMA save and it’s been a ride. I’ve raided ALPHA-1 of basically any notable talent. By the end of 2005 I will run GAMMA 100. Foster retired after he lost a nuclear hype match with Gladstone Lopes. Rav Kapur has cemented himself as the best heavyweight with the belt. Affonso Villar is injured for the year but he holds the light heavyweight belt. Mike Watson lost it to Marlon John but worked his way back to the interim bout defeating Matthew Dean. Oh, Matthew Dean has been dominant in the middleweight division only losing to Darling which he immediately won back. Brubacker has shocked the world and held on the welterweight belt beating Rugerio, and is set to face da Guia. Lermontov was a dominant lightweight champion until he got crushed by O’Breen. Obreen isn’t a respected champion yet for some reason but will be defending against Sukarno. And Lamont Banner has been tearing up featherweight, and is going to defend against Jokichi. Kel Ryan was dominant as a super heavyweight until Renato to put an end to that. On my phone but will post more in depth history when I get to my computer
  18. Look at the world rankings and free agent rankings to start
  19. I get that, just if there's anyone to keep an eye on I guess because in WMMA 3 there were fighters I kept tabs on and I would hire every play through.
  20. a followup on this would be great, using GAMMA so I want to try and stock pile some fighters for each division.
  21. One year done in my Wrestle Grand Prix save. The six months between the first post and where I am right now have been quite interesting. I figure the easiest way to show this all is to recap the year. Wrestle GP currently have 4 titles: Wrestle GP Heavyweight - This was the first belt to be on the line in my debut card. Samoa Joe won the belt in a match against Kurt Angle at the Fire Pro Cup event in January. He proceeded to feud with Wild Pegasus (who won the Fire Pro Cup), where in a series of matches Samoa Joe held on to his belt. Joe then had a small series of matches with Chris Hero, during which Kevin Steen got involved. Steen wins the belt off Joe in a match in July's big event. Steen defended the belt a couple of times; against El Generico, Okada, and a rematch against Joe. After Kevin Steen wins the Tornado Tournament (our tag team tourny) with CM Punk, he "turns" on Punk as he felt intimidated by Punk (since Punk got all the pins in the tournament). Their first match ended in ref stoppage, putting Steen over as ruthless. Lesnar was the next contender but Punk beat him in a singles match, warranting a three way match. In a moment of triumph, Punk beats Lesnar in the match to win the belt. After a throwaway defense on TV, Punk wins the blow off match in December after a grueling Last Man Standing match. Wrestle GP Intercontinental - This belt has been treated like the main event title because of the incredible matches had over it. In a February event, Shinsuke Nakamura beat Bryan Danielson; which was a rematch from their time limit draw in January. Nakamura proceeds to defend against Lionheart Jericho a couple times (along with defenses against Austin Aries and Low Ki). After that feud, he has a series of matches with CM Punk (along with a three way match with Omega and Ibushi). After a throwaway defense against Rey Mysterio, Bryan Danielson earned a right to a match against Nakamura after winning the Thunder Pro Cup (the super junior cup). In a triple threat match along with Low Ki, Nakamura pinned Low Ki for the win. Danielson uses this to provoke a rematch, which he beats Nakamura to win the belt. (The story i was subtly building was that Danielson had been getting victories over Nakamura in non title situations). Danielson proceeds to defend against Nakamura (using a rematch clause) which ends with a count out victory for Nakamura. Okada gets himself involved in a triple threat match the next month, who Danielson gets the win over. This leads to the final blow off match in December where Danielson wins in an 60 min iron man match. I ran that feud into the ground but I got engrossed with the series of matches idea of booking. Wrestle GP Tag Team - This title has moved around a fair amount this year. I don't tell a lot of stories with this belt other than when it changes hands. Punk and Steen were the first champions when they beat the team of Okada and Tetsuya Naito. 3 months and only 2 defenses later they drop the belts to Okada and Naito. Okada and Naito defend the titles 6 times in 3 months before they drop the belts to the Golden Lovers. What happens with the Golden Lovers is a bit weird. Ibushi and Omega win the belts, then during the Tornado tournament Ibushi gets hurt in the quarter finals. I decide that Omega would bring in a new partner to replace Ibushi, which would be Pac (Neville from WWE) as he could use the rub. I transferred the reign to Golden Lovers II. After 6 defenses they drop the belt to the Purge (Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes). They're named the Purge because they both work at the promotion named PURGE. Wrestle GP Super Junior - This belt was created in October, and won by Tetsuya Naito in a three way match with TJ Wilson and Matt Sydal. He defends it 5 times before dropping the belt to current champion Kenny Omega. Tournaments: Fire Pro Cup - Held in January as a one night, 8 man, single elimination tournament. The final was Wild Pegasus going over Lionheart Jericho. The 2019 tournament will be a 16 man elimination tournament, and in the future might be turned into a G1 climax round robin system. Thunder Pro Cup - Held in May as a two night, 16 man single elimination tournament. The first night held the opening round, the second night holding the rest of the tournament. Bryan Danielson went over El Generico to win the cup. I might try to make the next Cup a round robin style tournament, but that is to be determined. Tornado Tournament - Held in September as a two night, 12 team single elimination tournament. The first night held the "wild card" matches, and the quarter finals (4 teams had byes to start while 8 teams had to wrestle). The second night held the semis and the finals. Steen and Punk went over Golden Lovers II to win the tournament. I'll keep the format the same for next year. This save is amazing, I'm having a blast and I'm learning so much along the way.
  22. <p>I'm excited about the new game I've started! It's using the Local2Global mod, which defaults the popularity of every wrestler to 20 in each region (and even brings them back to life!) . There are about 30 different promotions to chose from and they all have something unique (plus 10 million dollars to spend). All of their popularity stats are the same as well. </p><p> </p><p> Anyways I chose Wrestle Grand Prix as my promotion, which is labelled as an American puroresu style in the South West. That style wasn't what I was looking for, so I changed them to the traditional puroresu preset (in my head I'm thinking king's road style). </p><p> </p><p> I'm in June and a lot has happened already. I've ran two tournaments. The first was the Fire Pro Cup, which was the first show I ever ran. It was a one night 8 man tournament which had the following involved: Lionheart, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Texas Red (Mark Calaway), Kevin Steen, Kazuchika Okada, Chris Hero and Wild Pegasus (told you people were brought back to life). Wild Pegasus became the first Fire Pro Cup winner after an intense match with Lionheart. </p><p> </p><p> Also on that card Samoa Joe went over Kurt Angle to win the Wrestle GP Heavyweight title. Bryan Danielson and Shinsuke Nakamura went to a time limit draw. </p><p> </p><p> After this card I introduced a monthly show called Wrestle GP Spectacle which would build up to the bigger show. This show is numbered and usually has an emphasis on tag match. </p><p> </p><p> Over time, I had Nakamura win our IC belt and Steen/Punk win our tag team belts (over Danielson and Okada/Naito respectively). Recently I ran my second tournament, this one being for super juniors called the Thunder Pro Cup. In a 2 night event (first night being dedicated to quarter finals and the second to the rest of the tournament/title matches), Bryan Danielson went over El Generico in a fantastic match. Steen/Punk dropped the belts to Okada and Naito as well. This is to allow Steen and Punk to go on their own runs before getting back together for future events...</p><p> </p><p> I'm building toward my third tournament show which will display the tag teams. One thing I absolutely love about this mod is that it's like a clean slate, which means I can build teams how I want. My backstory for this mod is that wrestling has never been popular in this alternate reality, and it's remained a territory/independent scene up until current day. Which is why wrestlers who have passed in real life are still alive in this game. With that being said, I have put together about 10/12 teams for this tournament with a solid plan behind the final results. </p><p> </p><p> This is the first TEW game I have followed through with and it's very fun, even if I'm playing on EWR throwback rules haha.</p>
