There was a way I could get around all those raises I've been dealing with for the past 4 years?!?!?!<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I seem to struggle with any storyline that doesn't have a title attached. 3. Not buying. This will be the first TEW since '10 that I don't buy on release day. Maybe down the line if it becomes user friendly and some buttons get turned around. 2016 is such a good game, I was really hoping all these improvements were going to be built around a similar U.I. It's just too tedious for me. I'm really pulling for improvements, though. I'd like to support Adam and Grey Dog and run NXT as a development when it started in a historical mod.
  4. I would like to see it nerfed a bit. Smaller companies shouldn't be making anything off of this. Cult level and above seems reasonable for the point where you could really start to make advertisement/merchandise money.

It should be a feature that medium sized or above companies can only use.

At the very least, tone the amount of money these small companies are making. What happened in Jaded's game, my experience and others that I've seen posted around here shouldn't be happening.

  5. As the system is, it's completely backwards that advantages small companies to the point of hilarity. I'm sorry but Bar Wrestling isn't setting up an iPPV broadcaster from nothing and isn't going to print money for the rest of time. IRL people use highspots, FITE, or they just distribute via a free internet platform like youtube, etc. The later doesn't have to even exist really because it makes them nothing, and basically nets them zero exposure to anyone who isn't actively searching for it already. I'm sorry but setting this stuff up to a degree that it's SEO and stable, consistent and is going to increase your pop gains or make you money is expensive. The better solution is just to add a Highspots/FITE/Youtube(Free) option inside the C-Verse for these companies and then HEAVILY gate this off so that it's a niche option for Hardcore feds that can't get on TV/Internet distribution for content reasons, or deep pocket feds looking to gamble at the low end. Everybody else should be Cult or over to use this.

This. Or just "nerf it", as you kids apparently say these days.

I think I used that word right. *shrug*

  6. <p>I love the '16 search feature. For me, that being expanded would have been nice. And/Or buttons would be sweet, but I always would have liked to select a range.</p><p> </p><p> For example, when you chose "average brawling" you would get average, good, great and excellent brawlers in your list. An "average to good brawling" range would be beneficial. The reason being if you've done the search for great and excellent brawlers and wanted to see the good brawlers, you'd have to look through all those workers you just looked through as well. It's not a HUGE deal, but it is one of those things that would make life a little easier.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hive" data-cite="Hive" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That would only give even more randomly generated workers... not sure how it would help the issue at all. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sorry, Hive. I read your post wrong. It seemed like you wanted fictional workers generated from the same dojo that you had 4 already graduating from, which is why I made the suggestion Hart Dungeon I, II, etc.</p>
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Browning" data-cite="Browning" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48167" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In my NXT game, the very first episode of RAW featured The Viking Raiders dropping the tag titles to..... Mike Kanellis and D-Von Dudley.<p> </p><p> The pair then mainly appeared on Main Event, usually in tag matches but not with each other.</p><p> </p><p> The Royal Rumble PPV didn't feature a Rumble match and was headlined by Brock retaining the title in a Triple Threat against The Undertaker and Shane McMahon.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>All seems pretty realistic to be honest.</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Bro... just got me laughing so hard. </p><p> </p><p> But for real, 2 of those seem like issues. I think I saw the battle royal/Royal Rumble one got fixed, but tag teams not tagging with their partner seems like a problem.</p>
  8. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="mstiles" data-cite="mstiles" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48167" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> Vince McMahon had a falling out with Shane who left wwe for aew.</p><p> </p><p> And Shawn Michaels became head Booker for nxt.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sounds like a cool AEW alternate universe.</p>
  9. <p>Wouldn't creating fictional dojos fix the problem for historical mods that want randomly generated characters as well?</p><p> </p><p>

Or possibly multiple dojos from the same training facility?</p><p> </p><p>

    For example:</p><p> </p><p>

    Hart Dungeon I</p><p>

    Hart Dungeon II</p><p>

Hart Dungeon III (if needed)</p><p> </p><p>

I know this is unrealistic and not ideal, but its hard for me to see how this is a deal breaker and making modders leave the community and people not buying the game because of this.</p><p> </p><p>

And this is coming from someone who isnt going to buy the game in its current state...</p>

  10. <p>I vote for Slim's. If this were done, it would be enough on its own to persuade me to buy the game, which in its current state I'm not going to do.</p><p> </p><p>

    Dross would be 2nd</p><p> </p><p>

The current layout is a distant 3rd.</p><p> </p><p>

Please listen to us Adam. We've noticed you working hard and listening in other areas. This would be a huge leap in terms of the user friendly UI the community has been clamoring for.</p>

  11. This might already be something that is part of the final tweaking so apologies if it is something that has already been taken on board but looking at the new worker profile screen, the space given to skills is still a little inefficient and not as user-friendly as it could be, in my opinion. In a similar way to the restructure of the office screen, is something like this possible:

    T8NdEJG.jpg

It makes better use of the space, you don't have to scroll any more, you can see all the stats at a glance, they are separated by type of stat. Personally I would really like that sort of change but don't know how feasible it is in terms of coding (if the programme only allows the list to be exported as one for that screen, obviously this wouldn't be possible).

    I want this so bad.

Somebody give this guy a job.

  12. <p>Love the new skin and layout of the UI, as many have said. It looks like TEW again, with a modern take. </p><p> </p><p>

7 days to improve on finances, scrolling, less clicks, and more products. </p><p> </p><p>

For me its still a no go until things improve. But I see that Adam and company are working their butts off and appreciate that. Hopefully the mechanics of the game are getting tweaked these next 7 days. If the issues that have been talked about the most in this forum get fixed, we could have an excellent game that is miles ahead of '16.</p>

  13. @Zero - that's extremely unfortunate. I always looked forward to your updates. What year did you end up getting to?

My goal in 2020 was to have my first long save. Making it from 1991 (my favorite mod) to current day with WCW,WWF or a created fed would be amazing.

I'm starting to enjoy the game quite a bit and I'm about to start up a new save, as I've hit my two months with CZCW (a company I've fallen in love with again). Balancing issues aside, the game world feels quite alive and the workers so much more human. I also recommend trying the "Simplified" skin, as I've found it quite easy on the eyes and is helping me dive in.

However, after starting a nationwide internet subscription network for a mere $135k, I started with 90k viewing my show and make $15,000+ per show through advertisements. That is enough money to match RIPW's production and give out iron clad $6,000p/m, three-year deals to Frankie Perez, Masked Cougar, and Alina America. As it stands, CZCW will make it a Big Four within two years and I feel confident in leaving the COTT and giving ironclad deals to the rest of the important players.

I'm not certain if this is too easy, or if the #12 promotion in the game should be able to take the next step.

I'm also getting serviceable road agent work for $100 a show out of Rumble Roper and Tamara McFly. This feels like an exploit and that there's something of a sweet spot in their attributes that I can't put a finger on.

How many shows are you doing? When you say 6,000 p/m you mean per match?

At first I thought one shouldn't be able to start a network with $135k, but then again, you could probably do that these days. I do not think you'd be making $90k in advertisements, though. That seems a bit high.

  14. <p>I wish I knew if this game was going to be improved enough to where I'm going to like it. If it were out right now, I'd be sticking to TEW 16. If the changes that I (and most others on here) want to see happen, then I'll be so excited to buy and play '20.</p><p> </p><p>

It sucks being in limbo. Wanting to play a full game with an 80s/90s mod, but not wanting to dive too deep into the '16 game just in case since I won't be able to play the save in '20.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyone else feel like they're in 'text sim wrestling limbo?'</p><p> </p><p>

Wish we knew everything that was going to be worked on!</p>

  15. I see how it can be sarcasm, and I share your concerns more than you obviously know. I was actually serious.

Every game since 2005 has had issue's with long term games. TEW2016, if you turn everything on, almost fixes the new worker issues... but it doesn't help the promotions. The promotions in 2020 are supposed to be "lightyears" ahead of TEW2016, and I'm thinking it has to be because the product settings were taken away from the players. I can't think of any other reason that would have been thought of as a good idea. I refuse to believe it's because Remi figured out how to make an unbeatable setting.... as I purposely play with settings I think are hard quite a bit, just to make it more interesting in the long run (You play long enough for enough years, you win, no matter what your settings are, playing around to make it harder prolongs that obvious conclusion). I can't be the only one.

That's an interesting take. If the product settings being taken away from the users makes my competition a lot better, that would change my position on it completely (I'm one that loves to tinker and get the exact product I want/knows what works for me). So, yeah, I wish Adam would come out and say that if that were the case. It would probably sway a lot of people to understand why it was implemented.

    .....

We had the development journal, which was a list of features and what was being done and sometimes we got the "why?" it was being done, but a lot of times we weren't (and still aren't). I feel because of the lack of transparency, a lot of people chalk things up to "change for change sake" instead of their actually being a solid reason something was changed from the way the game was in '16.

  16. You can totally replicate it if you "know" what it is that you want. I found a way to share some photos (I haven't done in years so took me a bit, and not sure if it's going to work yet). Here a couple of standards (out of about 20) I use whenever I am making a database, or just making new promotions to open whenever in someone else's database. Ignoring the things we can control (womens division/etc.) I will play with all the little drop downs and sliders and create dozens of different ones from one model. I'll let the game decide which one opens generally, but I will tweak little things considerably to add flavor, and sometimes barely, like 3 and 4 ways. On top of that, I would/will tweak any promotion from any database, the minute I take it over. I'll change match ratios, intensity, etc.

I always like new workers constantly spawning so I always have every option on until the world gets so full it starts slowing my game down considerably. Then I will let it go for a while til' people die off, etc. I normally play 10 to 15 years (before stuff seems to go wonky, which I figure is fixed in 2020).

This made me chuckle out loud a bit. Adam said the game was running smoothly with his testers during the developer's journal and look how that turned out. And as beta testers, we can only test 2 months, then have to start all over. But, 10-15 years down the line, the game is going to work correctly? :o

Maybe that was sarcasm. If so, I apologize. :D

  17. Is there a video or a post that explains the Cornellverse somewhere?

Like the back story. Or at least the main parts.

Id like to figure it out but its a lot of information. Think about trying to learn about the past 15 years of pro wrestling in the real world. Its quite daunting.

But knowing the bullet points would be nice. Main storyline that occurred. What happened outside the wrestling world. What companies bought others, improved or folded. Etc etc.

Would be really interesting to read up on or hear someone explain. Instead of going through hundreds of bios trying to figure it out one by one...

If all we're getting for the next two days is daily tweaks and a few fixes for crashes that most people never experience, then I'd say this delay was a panicked, rash decision based on a bunch of forum whining from people who had wildly idiotic expectations of what the game should be, despite the dev diaries clearly spelling out most of the non-UI gripes before the beta ever came out.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Nice rant.</p><p> </p><p> Bret Hart gives you a 4/10. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
