  1. As someone who only used a small handful of products over and over "because they seem to work" and are close to what the real life promotions are like, I'm happy with the change, but I understand why some are upset.
  2. That's certainly the reason I try to pretend the company doesn't exist myself, anyway...
  3. <p>As someone who plays as smaller companies a lot, I like the idea of battling for regional stars with other companies of similar size to draw a better crowd, and how the regional stars in question could get signed away to a bigger company, forcing you to find or create a new draw or suffer for it. </p><p> </p><p> Certainly realistic in that you want a strong main event scene rather than rely on one guy.</p>
  4. <p>I like today's features, especially removing the limit, but I'll admit I was hoping for the addition of AI companies coming to you for requests for loans or talent exchanges. That would be a fun random incident from time to time with friendly companies and/or alliance partners. </p><p> </p><p> Still thrilled with the game so far, for the record! (I feel I have to say that make sure it doesn't sound like I'm not still blown away by a lot of the reveals...)</p>

So long as you've got the worker's debut date right, the databases shouldn't need too much tweaking for the new stat.</p>
  6. <p>Interesting new addition (and makes sense going along with the expanded indy scene from last week!)</p><p> </p><p> I have to ask though, how is experience calculated when converting a database from 2016 - 2020? A combination of respect and psychology, or randomly assigned based on how many years since their debut? (that last one would probably be far too complicated to program, but just speculating!)</p>
  7. While I'm going through my database at the moment I think the thing I'd like most about Tag Teams is for them to be condensed into something similar to the workers, where you have one entry for a pair of workers under their most common name, and then you can set alternate names the same way you can set alter egos, including if they're specific to a promotion or not. That would tidy up the data a lot. Also being able to filter the title histories section to just show the histories for a specific title, though I'll admit that's partially my fault for importing some title histories to save time and them having different ways of short-handing the entries' names than I do, making finding specific entries a chore... ANYWAY, sorry, this isn't the recommendation thread. Happy to hear about the booking changes. As with a lot of entries in the journal, less clicks is always good. The benefit of the expanded window size, I guess!
  8. Love the changes to the indy events. I have quite a few lower levels indies in my mod anyway, but the fact that contracted talent can appear on these different random events is a great touch, puts these random shows on the same level as the "local promotions" (or whatever they'll be called in 2020, I can't remember now...) or higher and makes the world feel more realistic. It's always fun to hire someone and see they've had matches already since the game started.

If not accurately, at least as accurately as the current system.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That would be the one way it wouldn't work, surely? If I set WWE to run WrestleMania on April 7th, then that would work fine for this year, but the following year it would run WrestleMania on a Monday, then the year after that a Tuesday, etc. It would only work, as someone else said, it you put "The third Sunday of the month" or something like that, but with even that would be a pain in the backside to program...</p>

I think they add both more flexibility and help differentiate the types which will make it more interesting in play through. It doesn't sound too complicated rather we get more variety to help replicate real life or potential scenarios. <p> </p><p> I have also seen a few people asking for greater micro management across the board, sometimes at really tedious levels that I feel would detract from the core game play, this I feel is not one that would.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, I don't see this as over-complicating anything, it just means when you try and get a TV deal there are a couple more sliders and stuff you can use to negotiate, but once you land it you don't have to micromanage anything until the contract comes up (or you fail to meet the deal), which is how it's always been anyway.</p>
  11. <p>Wow, I think it's going to take a little while for today's entry to sink in, but it sounds great! I never really thought about the process of assigning people positions on the card as being unrealistic, but this system does make a lot more sense. People don't literally get given a badge to say what push they're currently in, and having someone e-mail me saying "I should be a mid-carder, rather than lower mid" was odd, now I think about it. Complaints about how they've been pushed or a turn that went wrong, yeah, but not getting hung up on card position names.</p><p> </p><p> Still, this is the first entry that really, properly shows how big of a change this game is going to be. Assigned pushes have been around since EWR, so this is nearly two decades worth of "how things are done" out of the window!</p>
  12. I've been following since EWR, and will gladly continue to buy any new Promotion sim Mr. Ryland releases. Really excited to hear this will be a true, new sequel rather than an (admittedly normally significant) add-on though. It'll be fun reading the blog over the coming year, though!

It's simple and it builds hype for that match. Also, people in 1987 thought video packages made with top line tech from the time would probably think it looks great because they don't know anything better yet. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> That being said, for an opening video and pyro the rating probably is still a bit high but I am generally okay with historical mods having inflated stats. Typically I play them for the nostalgia so a lower challenge in favor of being able to build more super cards and things like that is perfectly okay in my view.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Don't worry, I wasn't criticizing the mod, I have no problem with anything like that. I agree that historical mods are about fantasy booking rather than challenging realism, at least that's how I play them whenever I do. I just got a funny mental image of people jumping off their sofas, holding their heads going "WOW! Oh my God! That was the best thing I ever saw!! This is going to be the best show in history! It has to be! Arghhh!!!" after the opening video package <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  15. SummerSlam opening pyro and video.... 100? How did you manage that!? Must of been one hell of a video package, especially using mid-80s technology...
